I was in Vietnam in 69 I heard those 16 inch round traveling overhead going inland and it was the new jersey...that's a sound you will never forget...
I served on the New Jersey, early to mid 80's. My GQ station was in Turret 3. I recall watching Tomahawks being tested when we were out to sea with the Enterprise - absolutely amazing!
The Port Alliance in Baltimore is NOT where USS New Jersey is permanently moored as a museum. She is berthed in Camden, NJ and just returned there after drydocking.
Exactly, and the video part showing the tugboats moving her is when they went to drydock at the Phildelphia Navy Yard in May.
Amazing to see how these powerful tugboats handle such a huge battleship with precision

Just to clarify, the USS New Jersey is definitely docked in Camden, NJ as a museum ship, and she recently returned after maintenance in drydock. Feel free to share more details if I missed something!
All those ships that were shown early in this video were in Norfolk VA at the Naval Base. I have worked there for over 32 years as a Marine and a Police Officer.

Watched her sail into Subic Bay while serving on the Dixie AD 14 in 1968 just awesome
When I was stationed in the Philippines, I stood guard duty on the brand new barrels for the New Jersey . below my guard tower post. there were three barrels on the ground & they looked like huge freight trains next to each other.
Those (9) 16" barrels on each of the four Iowa-class battleships were 60 feet long. I remember reading the weight of each stamped on the breech end.....a number like 239,850 lb (120 tons), on the Missouri. When we fired a broadside, the ship moved sidewise in the water about 6 feet!

The USS New Jersey is normally moored in Camden, NJ along the Delaware River waterfront.
It was temporarily removed and sent across the River to the Philadelphia Navy Yard's dry dock for normal cleaning and maintenance to keep the hull in good condition.
Living in Philadelphia and knowing the warship is across the river in Camden NJ doesn't anyone fact check the video before release? The owner of this video looks silly!.

Gonna be a Nerd here and say The Iowa Class Ships weigh about 58,460 tons when Fully Loaded. The only ship I can think of that Weigh about 100,000 tons are Modern Super Carriers
At 6:17 a propeller weighs 66,000 pounds, not 66,000 tons!

That's what I figured also. The whole ship is 100,000 tons so the propeller alone can't be 2/3 of that weight.

If you are impressed at those under powered Tugboat. You really need to sail on a Tugboat with 9500-20000 horsepower. Yes, sailed 17 years on Tugboat both coasts.

wait, each propeller weighs 66.000 tons? Sounds a bit too much, 66 tons maybe, the entire carrier doesn't weight more than 100.000 tons.

Can you realize the power of 16 in rocket shells like the 777 has now 35 mi . They just used the aircraft carrier America 🇺🇸 for target practice and took weeks to sink it. The Philippines or Japan could have used it with up dates or a helicopter ship .
Before the atomic age, a nations power was rated by its arsenal of battleships. They insist the Yamato was the biggest and most powerful ever. However, it was sunk before any significant photographic references were made of it.

I don’t know about the information accuracy with this one. Most all battle ships are being refitted the gun turrets are being removed and structural changes to accommodate curse drones missile systems
your refering to the zumwalt class destroyers the battleships arent having any upgrades or armament removed
