"OUR STORY"
"We purchased the 200 year old Hockanum Mill brownfield site in 2013 with a vision to rejuvenate this historic location and create one of the largest Motorcycle Museum in the United States. The 11 acre lot holds 10 buildings totaling over 150,000 square feet of indoor space; It had shared a similar fate to the other textile mills of New England; Abandonment & deterioration.
In late 2017, the first phase of the site's resurrection will be completed-- the New England Motorcycle Museum. In 2018, visitors will find a world class exhibit with a diverse collection of over 100 vintage motorcycles & memorabilia, a motorcycle library, and the beautifully restored Hockanum Mill. Later additions will include a restaurant & bar, microbrewery, and courtyard.
​In the following years, we will begin rehabilitating the remaining historic buildings that will hold more museum exhibits and other activities for visitors. Our goal is to make Rockville, Connecticut a world class destination for motorcyclists & tourists. We are so excited to share this journey with you all".
