    I use a power station for camping with a travel trailer. Very handy unit. You might consider modifying a cooler or lining a cardboard box with foam insulation for cold protection.

      Good tip ! I could of left it in my warm shop & ran a 100f cord but I just needed to know how much or little I might need to do by putting in on the seat :) But ya it's letting it cool but saving the heat close to it :) I have more than one & yes they work pretty awesome ! They make off grid life pretty easy :)) Have a good afternoon"

      Yup :) Ya you really have to know how much power each thing you want to use actually uses, Man black Friday Bluetti had some awesome deals ! Allpowers has a couple bigger than this one too, I have my Kureg coffee machine plugged to this one all the time :) but the Bluetti runs the cabin, Have a great evening"

    I completely mis-read the video title and wondered why you were using a ‘2 seater Honda sports car’ to start the truck (S2000)!!😂😂 - oh man. I need more coffee!

      @littlegriffoffgridalberta6837  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Lmao !! Was Just a question I had asked myself & needed to know if it could run long enough to start the ole girl :) I could have left it in the warm shop & run a 100f cord but I wanted to see if power station would stay war enough or shut down because of the cold & it worked but at -40 I don't think so lol, Like you I'm a little past that racing age lol :) Have an awesome day "

    Howdy Don- it’s good you have a back up system for getting the truck going just in case you needed it. Man, those brunch sandwiches looked really good. Stay safe and warm up there. We’re having a touch of winter down here in the southern. The old wood stove sure does feel good. Take care and God bless

      @littlegriffoffgridalberta6837  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes a back up plan for the back up plan, When you pray for cool weather so you don't forget how that heat feels 😃, Been cold but we have a week of -8c temps coming in so we'll get some wood cut hopefully :) I just got back from a trip out where they are logging -25c was our high today :) After 5 days of cold I had to get out ! Hope you had a great weekend" Work safe "

      It was good :) Ya at -15 to 20 it will work but -40 that old girl needs 3 hrs of block heater, I could have ran a 100f cord & left power station in the shop but I wanted to see how cold it would get in the cab of the truck :) Colder weather, Need a bigger power station ! Have a good evening Kenny

    The old diesel fired right up with that bit of warmth. She rattled to life like nothing.
    Good product again. Those small, battery packs are all looking good no matter what name on it. Lots of good reviews on those ALLPOWER brand.

    Have same issue w/solar generator use outdoors in winter. I use an old cooler, cut out hole on the side, just big enough to run my ext cord through. I then heat up some rocks on top of wood stove. Put solar gen and rocks in cooler. I just use a towel so the rocks dont touch the plastic cooler & solar gen. Stays nice and warm when using. Great vid, enjoyed it!

    I alway wondered what wattage a block heater took... I have an 06 f350 diesel and was in Nisku Ab & Hinton Ab last week, had to plug in at the hotels but she started every morning plunged in at minus -26 was the lowest night. I don't know why ford discontinued the 7.3L Diesel it was the best engine they ever made in my opinion!

    • @littlegriffoffgridalberta6837
      @littlegriffoffgridalberta6837  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Ya some of the block heaters take 1150w too, But when you plug in a power station it shows you :) Yes 98-03 they had them perfect then they screwed them up, The newer models do start better in the cold the old 7.3 likes that 0-40 oil then not bad :) Thanks for the comment

      Ya I put a little in about every three tanks of fuel because I was parking in a somewhat warm shop that will cause condensation in the tank, But this year I run it low on fuel then waited until we had winter fuel at the pumps then just put conditioner in it & run the truck around a bit so it got through the system :) Hoping I won't need to run it this winter now I keep the car in the shop :) Thanks for watching"
