Top of the tops..... Sweet still rock and rule..... Falsetto Voice and pure Sound, most without overdubs.... Regards from Stuttgart. Rock on Andrew Scott... July 19 th 2024.... Yours Dee from Stuttgart
Thanks for doing videos of the Sweet. They're my second favorite band after the Beatles. Mick is a criminally underrated drummer. I prefer this version of Fox to the one on DB. That one's a little plain IMO. RIP Mick, Brian, and Steve! We miss you. 💔🕯
The band Jeff Lynne was in before the Move was called the Idle Race. Andy couldn't remember what it was so I looked at the Wiki page for Jeff, out of curiosity. Jeff was in it from '66 to '70.
And that's why the majority of ROCK/ MeTaL recordings today sound like a COOKIE CUTTER. No originality and definitely no Sound Brand Identity😏👎 Thank you ANDY SCOTT 😁👍🏻
He most certainly *was* referring to The Idle Race. They released two albums before Jeff left for The Move. Seek out the ‘Back To The Story’ 2CD compilation if you can.
Yes it was kind of harsh. Honestly it didn't matter in the end since Brian had everything else going for him. I'm a Mick girl generally, but Brian was just gorgeous and had the voice of an angel, and all kinds of charisma. 🤩
SWEET have always been the coolest band around
Their drummer was BADASS!
Been a fan of The Sweet for a long time !! They still sound Awesome !!! Loved hearing the back story of Fox on the Run .

Old English rock stars always seem so dignified

Cancersick, glad you are still here, Andy. ❤
The hit version was actually a re-recording. The original was bare bones and released on a UK album first.
on Desolation Boulevard in Germany
RIP Brian Connolly❤
A great, attractive singer🌹

Ahhhhh, Thank you!
I have the CD with Andy's demo on it .....its exactly as he said it is
If you listen to Ace Frehley's 1st solo lp you can hear Sweets influence all over it.
SWEET, best in their field of music. Dont mind Who is number 2 or 3.....😊😊😊

The Idle Race is the Jeff Lynne band Andy's referring to.
It's Just Sweet, No The !!
Ace Frehley recorded a great version of this song.
Andy may have been referring to The Idle Race, Jeff's band before he joined The Move.
I think you are right, Thank you
And what a great band it was.

Small bit harsh stating Brian's writing wasn't his best ascit
Why did he even have to say that
Yes it was kind of harsh. Honestly it didn't matter in the end since Brian had everything else going for him. I'm a Mick girl generally, but Brian was just gorgeous and had the voice of an angel, and all kinds of charisma. 🤩
Andy Scotts Sweet🤔
@@mauricecarrig3019 Exactly-my feeling was that Andy was always a little envious of Brian.
