    People need to realize Diary of a Madman, arguably the greatest rock and metal album ever written, that Lee, Bob and Randy really carried that album, Ozzy could not even come up or get some of the melodies so Lee jumped in. It was a collaborative album among lee, Bob and Randy and that is why Darth Hideous firing Lee and Bob was just a colossal mistake, the band was on the path to being one of the greatest ever.
    The third album would have been insane.

I've been a drummer for over 40 years now so it was a huge deal for me to meet Lee when I was 17 years old ( I'd already seen him play incredibly well live twice with Uriah Heep by then ) . I saw 3 Blizzard of Ozz shows on the first UK tour . Newcastle City Hall , Newcastle Mayfair and also Sunderland Mayfair . How could Sharon fire Lee? The intro to Over The Mountain is incredible, classic. The lineup never should have changed. • @Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle
      @Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      you want to know what happened? Sourcing.....Ozzy complained about having to do two shows in some locations and the rigorous touring schedule concernd his voice would not hold up. Lee voiced the concerns about the shows and schedule to Sharon, and Sharon used it against him to label him a complainer. Bob and lee were savvy musicians, and Lee wanted to get paid as he was promised. Darth Hideous had it out for him.
      So the issue happened when Steve MAchat was shopping the band to a U.S. label for a distribution deal for those two albums, he had a band Blizzard of ozz, and instead of he only signed Ozzy to the CBS deal fearing needless haggling with the lawyers for each guy: Randy, Bob and Lee., so he effectively screwed over the band, empowered Ozzy and Sharon and they were able to pain the story of it being a solo band which is a blatant lie

All this stuff coming out on youtube decades later is bringing a lot of colour, which I appreciate. Never knew any of this behind the scenes stuff, but the idea that Ozzy couldn't really compose much by himself I can now guess may be one of the reasons why the Jake Lee records weren't as successful.
