I mean, Feraligatr's problem isn't that it's bad, people even in the modern DPP OU metagame know that it's in theory perfectly viable and good etc ........ it's just that Gyarados exists and does the same thing better. So Feraligatr is probably one of the easiest non OU mons to make a video on since it technically works in the metagame, it's just that outside of that and in the broader metagame, you'll almost never see it since it's outclassed

Gyara is slightly faster and can make use of moxie for snowballing or intimidate for easier setup but is weak to rocks and gatr has a secondary setup option and the bigger immediate damage output with sheer force + life orb, but that does mean unlike gatr gyara can still fish for flinches. Gyara lost both power whip and its mega which were its 2 ways of hitting rotom wash. Don't think special sets are the best on either since theres just better options for special waters but I guess gatr would be the better choice if you wanted to since special/mixed gyaras niches were on rain (hurricane, thunder, hydro pump spam) and if you wanted to get a suprise kill on kartana with flamethrower. Gyara has the better defensive potential though with intimidate, twave, taunt

I feel like he has a lot of promise and I want to see what an experienced player does with him.
Drapion has a really solid Atk, Def and Spe stat meaning you could reasonably go for a SpD + Black Sludge bulky set, a Choice Band wall breaker, a funky Sniper Crit build or even a Scarfer. It is full on versatile, I love it as a mon. Not as much as Feraligatr, mind you, but I do love it as a mon.
The thumbnail looks like Guzura. It was an anime for kids about a monster that could eat metal and make it anything it wanted it to be. Also he breathed fire.

I like both Typhlosion and Feraligatr equally but I tend to pick Typh since it's so much easier to find water types compared to fire types. Meganium def the worst although it doesn't have to be if it gets an actual ability
Sheer force is great, but I do think it's a missed opportunity to give the big jaw pokemon strong jaw. Either way, I really want Feraligatr to get thunder fang so it can break through bulky water types like Azumarill.

Gatr was my starter of choice, until i learned about the whole water moves are special atk based thing then i switch to typhlosion. And then HGSS dropped and my boi and me were reunited
Gator is easily my fav starter of all time (so far, those Arceus leaks might change that) stronk as hell 💪💪💪💪, dragon dance 2x to outspeed everything, gets fu king sheer force as a hidden ability. Absolutely a unit of a Pokemon

I feel like crunch is redundant on Feraligatr if you have ice punch in it. Ice Punch is just as effective against Latias, along with being 4x against Gliscor. Most ghost and psychic types are frail anyway, so STAB should work just fine. Because of this, I believe Earthquake or Brick Break is a better choice
Crunch kos starmie & shedinja (useful for stall), hits manaphy harder cause of sheer force and is good neutral without taking life orb recoil. Eq is cool for empoleon and magnezone and the neutral vs azu. I think both are solid

Nobody seems to be running skarmory at all and grachomp really wants that outrage over dragon claw. I feel like iron tail would honestly be a better tech as its last move. I dont think stone edge even hits anything that fire fang couldnt hit harder, other than togekiss...
@@microtransactions2661 if custap skarm is playing itself right, it's going to be spending most of the game at less than 1/4 health with no healing moves, assuming it even lives past turn 3. Garchomp doesnt need stone edge to deal with that.
QOTD: Totodile for sure, my favorite mon for years until munchlax became my main draft mascot and tied it. Loved it in the anime and actually beat red with my unevolved totodile back in soulsilver
Well you can account for everything… just not in modern gens they’re too powercrept. In Gens 1-3 u can absolutely build teams that have an answer to almost everything in the metagame

Both are fine depends on set. Dual screens should be max hp, sp atkikg like cm or specs should be sp atk
