What many might find a problem is the price of flights. Ive been looking and they are double the price of what they used to be
I just booked flights last week. 700 euro Copenhagen-BKK with Thai Air. But im going 10 of may. I prefer the low season.

Thanks for the update. I'll be transferring over to Pattaya from Phuket in about a week and staying for about 4 months. Glad to see some vendors at the plane as it will give me more food choices near the condo I am staying at.

Hi Daz ... First I have got to admit, you are doing a great job with thes videos, it's effective and interesting.
At 15:55 Daz gives some of the best advice you can give a foreigner that goes to any bar in Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia. Spot on.
and for that matter, try to chat up the locals as to where THEY go for fun and reasonable rates. I suppose there is always the coconut bar.
yep they are highly paid Drinkie girls strictly bait....they don't bar fine! as they are paid only to sit, look cute and drag the punters in...mostly under twenty and very cute.....always at the front haha

Hi I will be in town on the 20th. Have been reviewing all your condo’s videos trying to find the best ones with the best prices with kitchens & washing machine, pools and gyms. Don’t want to spend no more then 9000. Keep up the great videos hopefully will meet up for a cold drink or beer. Cheers. 🎉
I just flew into Thailand on 9/30 for a quick 2 weeks in Pattaya. Things have changed but still a lot of fun to be had. Yes, prices have gone up but there are still deals around. I'm finding good pricing at Gentlemen's Club and back alley bars and massage shops.

I think Pattaya will never be the same as before.... there's a pre and post COVID time....but it's still my favorite holiday spot and it's still big fun.. I was there in April this year and I'll be back there in November.....but as you've said before: everyone has to decide for himself if it's worth going back there....
By the way, very wise advice about the bars worth a visit and which ones you should avoid...👍

I think the change was just accelerated by a number of years. We’re probably where we would be at approximately 10 years in the future if things were going the way they were.

My favourite ever holiday is this one, I think it’s brilliant.
Soi 6 is rammed, that’s for sure. Went down Walking Street and massive pub on left just after sign, awesome night and packed.
Last night at Escape, what a night I could have stayed forever.
Everywhere I have been I get the ladies a drink too. Here for my 50th so top of Hilton at Horizon was awesome. Had dinner at Royal Cliff Hotel too, RuenThai and Mays, all them with lady and on my own I call at Robin Hood.
The weather is awesome now. You do get shower, but nothing like flooding that I saw occurred in September.
All of that on a 2 week vacation I spend less than £1000.
What more needs be said, very happy.

Thanks for that tip about which bar to look out for Daz, I've been going out since 1992 had to stop in 2017 due to the pandemic really do miss being out there.
hey DAZ, I think your channel is great, sooooooo much useful and awesome information. I was wondering pal since you covered the budget and mid-range accommodation prices for one day and monthly could you next cover the high-end spectrum for us high rollers in the U.S lol. I am in a great spot financially, so to be honest I wouldn't mind a higher price point for a good month's visit. Possibly a "penthouses" in a really high-end building off the beach or perhaps some villas. Thanks, pal, you rock !!

Great video. I always look out for Daz's as I love the calm style of delivery and excellent advice. I hope that the Thai authorities don't check UK COVID stats! Prevalence of positive tests is said to have increased by 14% over the last week with currently over a million in the UK. Presumably, it'll be more because fewer people are testing now.

Thank you for the great info and updates. The bars which perhaps are not allowing girls to be bar fined and/or if she is already making enough money would certainly not last too long. The word will get out to avoid these places
great Video Daz, I tend to go to select bars that I have been going to for years, I rarely go elswhere, as for Bar fines, I just use Thai Friendly > no Bar Fine!
Hi, I Don`t drink anymore and l`m an old mister grumpy now. I hate the Bars, Loud music, uninterested girls Too Expensive, been Living and going to Thailand over 25 Years. I use Thai friendly. Just make sure you get what`s in the Picture.

@@CarlWiganerUK Not as many as PRE-COVID. There’s more than that meets the eye. It’s not a single factor, but a wide variety of things as Daz points out. Plus many establishments have a mix of ladyboys and girls. As such it’s more of a challenge when a bar is trying to hire strictly girls with a good work ethic.

I admire your trying to make sense out of the number of bars vs staff vs salary thing and mentioned the supply vs demand issue, but it seems our western way of looking at things does not always apply in Thailand. Personally, I think many of the bars are going to struggle to make a profit without a really high high-season and with the current economic conditions..?

II think there are a lot of girls hungry to work in Pattaya but the bars wont hire loads of birds (low season/exp flight ) to be sitting around soaking up any profit the ratio is askew.... tree town is an example of this massive over sized bars - no girls - hence no punters! remember no honey, No Money!

Your analogy about the bar fines works if you walk around when it's happy hour or peak time rush hour, Otherwise most thai ladies are on their phones when it's not busy

Off to the Philippines few months in November will have a trip to Pattaya for 2 week and will only go to gent clubs four or five time I have been to Pattaya 25 time between 1993 to 2011

Still plenty of fun to be had. It will never ever go back to what it was. The peak for Pattaya IMO was probably around 2007-2008. It’s an evolutionary process. The fun will always be there but it will just be different.
the Euro is not the problem which hasn't changed much in 5 years (besides Covid times) and neither are the Thai prices...Rent prices in Ireland are astronomical now,with no end in sight..add in Petrol prices, Electricity bills,Food cost increases etc and a lot of people just can't afford their annual pilgrimage anymore..I presume other countries have similar stories to tell
where I live the rent prices are Horrendous I have to live in a small room with shared toilet to save for a Holiday - Thailand draws a Beautiful picture in my eyes
Very informative video ...When you talked about the Visa on Arrival extension from 30 to 45 days and from 15 to 30 thats correct But if Im not mistaken Visa on Arrival Cannot be extended ive read in so many articles about it ....I stand to be corrected and please do check ...but as far as I know you either have 45 days or 30 days ...And you Cannot Extend that Visa on Arrival !!

As an expat living in Pattaya, I agree with you and Dean. We find some good bars and go there while avoiding all the others bars who overpay their staff, have high bar fines, and the girls use you for LD's. Good news is there are quite a few of these bars and some of the new bars are getting new Isaan girls who haven't been corrupted yet lol.

This info is pretty much spot on, outside Soi Pothole and 6 you will be hard pushed to find ST for less than £80-£100.
Last night on LK Metro i was quoted b1000 barfine and b3000 1 hour ST

As always, enjoyed your video --- the tour as well as the info & scuttle-butt. As to the changing social conditions --- rules, rules, & more rules, continually ever changing. It seems that for areas --- Pattaya & night life Thailand --- officials need to back off on regulations to allow cooperative social functioning to find its own footings. Quit tampering and allow natural supply and demand for each specific area to establish roots unique to itself.
The pandemic (SARS-2 & COVID-19) has severely affected individuals and therefore their economies. Time is needed to allow individual reactions to resume any previous social set of conditions.
Those two (or more) years of interruption may find now older female veterans reluctant to re-join the previous Pattaya troops on each Soi and in the Go Go bars, etc. Great patience is needed to allow resuming previous conditions. But new conditions will have new demands and twists, as well. Maybe a whole new army of girls will replace the retired female veterans, new participants wiser and more independent and intent on demanding more advantage at the trade table.

Other complications include envious other countries wanting in on the previous financial gain experienced by Thailand previous to the pandemic, possibly started during the Vietnam war by G.I.s on leave from the battle front. Now, even Vietnam wants to lure tourists to spend their vacation money in their country. Surrounding countries are also waving their flags.

There's a lot of Thai girls along Soi 6 but not that many customers compared to the Soi Buakhao / Chaiyapoon/ Diana/ Honey part of town.
Just came back from Thailand 1 week ago.. was great visited Phuket, Huahin, BKK and Pattaya.
The only one didn't like too much was Phuket, too expensive and noisy.. I would go again tomorrow to Thailand if I could. If would say if you can go, just go have fun and enjoy yourself.

i was over in January when i had to have 24 hours quarantine and the bars all had to close for nine PM but still had a great time, my next trip is between Christmas and New Year for around a month, flight price kept on going up and i ended up paying £1190 (paid for the flight in June) on Eva air, just looked on Skyscanner, the flight is now listed at over £1750

i booked XMAS Tui to Phuket then air asia too BKK/pattaya £799
I was over in bangkok/samui Dec 2021 with the 24 hour quarantine. You could still drink all night behind closed doors in a good number of bars. Also booked a flight from UK in August 22 to LOS for Dec this year for just over £800. If I had to pay a few hundred more I would have. Can spend that in a night in patts.
I checked out flights from Manchester from 14 december to 12 January and surprised that Emirates excellent A389 flights one of the cheapest,ie £1150 with civilised stop overs. Etihad very expensive!

I found my usual flight from Dublin with Qatar for €555 in March which is around €100 more than usual... Accommodation in Pattaya is still great value...just have to listen to your advice about the girls,avoid these bars and hopefully the owners will get the message 👍
Qatar and Doha Airport are good from Dublin.Doha airport is not too big
and easy to transit through..
As an expat I have a couple of regular bars I go to. Top of soi 8 very cheap joints. Thai friendly wins every time 110 pounds a year .

If you can go to Thailand every second year due to cost, I would not go high season 22/23. I would wait for high season 23/24 when the world is hopefully more stable and cost are better. Also the abount of people between season are not enough right now to create a good vibe with enough customers in the bars.
Great video!! I’m here in Pattaya now and can confirm the info. I went into a bar the other day and it was a 5 drink minimum (lady drink) and $1000 Baht just for barfine!! Lucky I asked after the 1st lady drink ( which he mentioned in the video, it’s good advice fellas) My 2 cents it’s bad business, sit at the bar and buy 5,6, or 7 lady drinks after paying for a flight that was double in price pre COVID just doesn’t make sense and I personally won’t patronize such an establishment.

It's been like that since long before the construction started, the owner just doesn't want any girls Barfined, he just wants Ladydrinks Bought.
I thought that would have to be an unusual situation. Most bars would just go broke with that sort of nonsense.

It’s easy to get these girls numbers off apps or in person and meet them , the more bars put up their prices the more likely punters will circumvent bars and organise their own fun .
Hope the cold winter in Europe creates the best opportunity for tourists to flock in.
STV's presumably cancelled for Canadians now. Looks like i won't be visiting for as long as i would have liked but hoping the border hopping process is back to normalish.

Plain and simple food has doubled in price. Flights have doubled. Fuel prices also. Christmas is coming! People just can't afford it! So glad I came in July!!
