I could never understand sending money to someone and not get anything in return. Makes zero sense. Them having a good time with your money 🤣. I was back 1 day from a trip and I got a line from a person I met. "Hi dear. Can you send me 5000 baht? I need help". Does she think I'm gonna send her 150.00 USD for doing nothing?????I'm sorry I can't. I need to pay my property taxes....sorry I can't. My best friend is going through a divorce and I'm helping him find a apartment. After enough excuses, she stopped asking and realized I'm not the type. Now its hello and how are you.

Everybody has a sob story…i live in the Philippines and its a constant ‘can you help me’ . I used to tell street beggars in the states ‘sorry, my kid’s college is breaking me’ or ‘my daughter has cancer, dont tell me YOUR problems’ but the point being…everyone has a sob story. I do give help to people i know who need it…but i know them and usually they know enough NOT to ask…
Another problem is if you get a lady the first few days you are there, she will try to stay with you for your whole holiday, you will soon get pissed off, because it will be like being in a sweet shop but can’t try the candy, I know I made that mistake before 😂😂
This is my favourite TH-cam video ONE DAY RULE FOREVER! I’m way too honest and kind and therefore vulnerable to ever do anything but the one day rule with any one of them from any country. THANKS DAZ YOU GREAT MAN

Thank you Daz for another great vlog ! I think the big lesson to come out of this one is to "STICK TO THE ONE DAY RULE" change your girl everyday until you toughen up . And yes I would love to go and see your hairdresser when I visit Pattaya next . Perhaps you could do a walk past of her shop and show us ? I could learn many things in there too LOL
I'm a new subscriber and enjoy your videos and appreciate the advice and tips. I'm from northern Manitoba Canada and it has been a brutal winter with temps around -35 to -45 to -55 for months on end. Your videos and others from expats living in Thailand have kept me warm and have given me incentive to spend next winter in that country. I'm not too worried about being sucked into a questionable romance as I'm retired, been around the block a couple of times and am pretty street smart. I just hope those aren't famous last words. Keep up the good work.

Met a bargirl back in 2018 on walking street, sounded almost the same as the one you described, pretty young thing, 22 or 23ish, she was very 'into' me and would spend all her free time and even off days with me. Having been to thailand more than 10 years I knew the game so didn't fall for it, just saw it as FWB relationship. After I went back she would call me almost everyday. 6 months later she ran into this Korean guy and moved in with him. 4 years on shes still with him, he paid her monthly salary for her to quit the bar, her house, her family, the buffalo money. What he didnt know was when he wasnt around in Pattaya she would still come and stay with me whenever i was in town. She probably has a few other guys on the side as well.

Another great video and information. I am just coming up to the end of my first year living Pattaya. Everything you said in the video in so true. A very good example is my friend . He lives in Pattaya and changes girls regularly. He met a beautiful lady and meets her regularly. A couple of weeks ago she says I have a new boyfriend but we can still meet discreetly. Last week she said she is getting married but don't worry we can still meet. Newbies be careful lol

100 yrs ago in my past, I had the job of running a few retail shops. Unfortunately a few were in bad parts of town so one of the incumbent responsibilities was to keep the merchandise from being pilfered, by both customers and staff.
Everyone knew the legit legal issues and how the game was played, but the unspoken rule was 'if you let me steal it then shame on you'.
It was a bit of an eye-opener for a rank newbie suburban white boy who was more golden rule oriented. Learned fast though.
In a country that from the top of the social and governmental food chain on down, that teaches and lives by "money equals right, money equals quality person, money equals respect and power", and quality of character comes in quite a ways further down that food chain...
For very attractive girls of upper bahn-nok villages of Isan... beauty and sexy is blessing and a curse. They grow up early with older sisters, friends, and even poor parents who know and tell them that they can 'apply their beauty' to earn money. 22 yr old Nok down the street pays for her own newly built house and car, and regularly leaves the village to go 'work'. No questions asked but everyone knows, and nobody really expresses disapproval. It's OK to do.
Some enjoy the party life and can be slightly selective on who gives them money and the earn big. A few go alcoholic or drug stupor nuts and start talking to imaginary people. Most do alright, feed mama and kids, and perhaps save up enough money to open some kind of small shop knowing that beauty doesn't last forever. A tiny few land a good foreigner as hubby and go off to live in falangland or even have falang come live here. The culture accept and encourages all this.
Personally, I've learned to deal with it, accept it as the way it is, and not make too many judgements, unless at the far ends of the bell curve of behavior.
If you let them 'steal your heart and your wallet, then shame on you'.

Oh wow Daz!! I'm really loving your vlog! Only came accross you a few weeks back and started watching because of the super informative condo and room tours you do..... I could see you did other vlogs that are obviously more male oriented so i havent bothered wathcing any. But today i watched the two newbie vlogs just to see what you're telling guys. I've spent a lot of time in Thailand over the past 20 years, my ex husband lived there for 8 years and i consider it my second home so i've seen a lot of what goes on. Men will often tell me about their dramas with Thai women and im good freinds with a Thai women that owns a bar on Kho Phangan. I've heard lots of very juicy stories from her! But those vlogs i've just watched are great!! I was totally captivated by the two stories you told. You better do an update on the German and the receptionist!! Cant wait to find out where that one goes. You give some great advice Daz, I do wonder if anyone actually listens though. Men seem to think the advice only applies to other guys! You have such a great way of telling stories and quite a soothing voice....Maybe you need to start another channel 'Spicy bedtime stories". I'm sure you have many!! I finally booked my flights to Thailand yesterday....May to November....Halleluja!! Never stayed in Pattaya for longer than a week or two before so its a brand new adventure.

Soi 7 brings back fond memories of my first long stay in Pattaya/Jomtien.
A friend bought a bar opposite the Lek Hotel so he could walk out of the hotel and across the road to the bar. It was the only bar on soi 7 with a short time room for rent. Guys would walk through the bar to the stairs.... As soon as they went upstairs every one would place bets on how long untill he came down the stairs.. 50 minutes .?.. 65 minutes..??? Winner takes all...

Yet another gem of a story, I'm definitely in need of a haircut at your lady friend's shop! Keep up with the Glasnost! You should write a book and offer it for sale! How about doing some stories that some of the guys you know could tell you of their own experiences? Like me with my Thai Army general's daughter and her Chauffeur! There must be so many great stories to tell and I have a few of my own from my first experiences in Thailand!

I made an experiment with my wife. She walking like 15m behind me in a Red light District in BKK, and the girls there wanted to be with me (above 50) rather than with the young guys..... Don't know why.... may be the girls thought it is only one time with an older man?

Making my first trip soon your videos have given me many lessons I have learned the reason you pay them is to leave
As a Russian myself, I'll have to elaborate a bit: all Visa and Mastercard cards emitted by Russian banks are banned worldwide, so we have a to use some workarounds to transfer money from Russia to Thailand. SWIFT transactions, although they're still available in a certain Russian banks, are not possible, because you need to open up a USD/EUR account in Thailand, which is very hard to do (opening a THB account is much easier, but you can't send money to it from Russia).

I am not a newbie to Thailand, but in this video you mention the guy got TOOK over a meal bill, yes I will agree he did, what I would like to know as I have fallen in the same trap many times, HOW do you control your “lady” from just ordering everything on a menu regardless of cost?? It to me would seem mean to lay down a limit, but is there any other way??
Yes, go to a Thai food restaurant, they are cheap and tell her only 2 dishes !
If only it was so easy lol, I only eat in Thai eateries but your “lady” orders in Thai you are then shocked to see what comes to the table, regardless of what you have said, steaks, fish bigger than the plate etc, and then usually only eat half, ask the rest to be packed so can be taken away,
