- Well, this episode of Shogun ended with a bang. I can't imagine his father being too happy about this. I'm glad Blackthorne got to pillow with someone finally.

7:42 I knew why "guns are different" the first time I saw this episode, but yours is the first reaction I've seen where someone said it. Nice job.
(Of course, your lovely accent puts you in a part of the USA--I'm guessing Texas--where the words "shall not be infringed" are held in high regard, so it's not really much of a surprise that you'd be the one making that observation.)

There are four main types of honorifics in Japanese always following the first or last name. Sama is the most formal of them all. Then come San, Kun and Chan. The gardener is a person of very low social rank and therefore does not get Sama. Southern accent, that's what I assumed from the way you pronounce "time" and the way you finish sentences. English is not my mother tongue and I'm learning others, it's all a matter of will and perseverance.
So they call him Ujiro chan.
