***** Except the first thing Odin says to Loki when Loki asks what he is is, "you're my son", which he repeats and says he wants to protect him. Odin did love Loki, you can see it as Odin reaches for him, but he had a somewhat distant relationship with both Loki and Thor.
Jasmine James Oh yeah. At least he had Frigga to try and make him feel accepted. She taught him all her magic abilities but still it's not enough. And Thor's friends always treated Loki like an outsider. Poor Loki :(
Lily Zerep yeah you kind of hope he feels acceptance in the future and I admire Thor for not giving up on him in hopes that one day he will know that he is loved
And this was the moment I realized that I loved Loki with all of my heart and that I would physically fight anyone for him. My heart hurts so much, he deserved so much better. All he ever wanted was to be loved and accepted by his father, by his brother, by his "friends" and "family". He doesn't deserve the hatred he suffers. He's so underappreciated, and so underloved. I love him with my whole ass heart.
Noela Loves Donghan There is no one that pretending Loki is innocent. You should tell that to MCU heroes fans, they are always trying to justify their "hero". For example, Thor. Thor is a war-monger that has killed over 3000 people, and Thor fans justify Thor killing people with "He is just a little bit arrogant. "
I think his mistake was in believing that Odin didn't love him as if he was his own. He craved the glory Thor had, when he was capable of so much more else. He wanted the one thing he wouldn't have instead of being happy with what he did. His mother loved him and favored him... It should have been enough. Fact was, he wasn't fit to rule, but that isn't the only thing that would have, could have made him great.
I Seriously can't believe that this is that Shy Tom Hiddleston. He changes his voice and personality to fit any character. It's amazing! Tom Is amazing and Perfect. I Wouldn't change a thing on him.
Tom's literally Loki. He can act like almost any character. Have you seen him try to copy other actors' voices? He is literally the real life equivalent of Loki. It's awesome.
I was fangirling all throughout this just because of lokis voice and when he yelled and i saw tears in his eye i had to keep myself from screaming and then he was like 'Wha..?" AND I ALMOST DIED IM ABOUT TOTHROW SOMETHING
I start crying after seeing this video ....loki is heartbroken after knowing the truth ...but still he cares about his father ....if i would be in his place i would don't care of anything................. And tom's acting !!!!....he just nailed it
Say what you will about this film but Tom Hiddleston acted the SHIT out of this scene. So powerful. Loki was not a villain in this movie. He was a tragic anti-hero.
Loki was a villain, not an anti-hero. Anti-heroes still help people but not in the traditional way as heroes should be, like Deadpool. Loki tried to rule a civilization against their desire and killed many people in the process. (Edit: I wrote this without many attention that you refer precisely about this movie lol) Yeah, but still. Even in this movie Loki was a villain, he manipulated and almost killed his “father”. He damaged the people who loved him and manipulated them to achieve his revenge. He is a tragic figure, but a villain still.
@@pitilessnightmare6879 Loki was an anti-hero, He wanted to prove to Odin that he was a worthy son and when Thor did it didn't thor become a villain anyway. if you keep a huge secret, regarding your child, from your child, the worst possible thing can happen is the child learning the secret for himself. this will cause questions, doubt, and in loki's case identity crisis.
EntertASIAN ***** In ancient times, the soldiers of the conquering forces often caused mayhem, pillaging, raping women, and looting the wealth of the common folk in the defeated country. Since Gods were considered sacred, the priests and priestesses were exempt from such treatment, and temples were hardly ever looted or plundered, fearing that the Gods would get angry. The temples were thus an excellent place for someone you wanted safe.
It's stupid how the Academy Awards ignore superhero and blockbuster movies as Tom should have won, or at least be nominated for Best Supporting Actor. This scene is a perfect example of his acting. This is the best Marvel Movie IMO.
+Gavin Allerton Loki still loved him, even if their was only a single blood cell left in him that did. I cant blame him for any of this. One adopted to another, if my mom had made the same choice as Odin..Me and him would be the same.
Tom did so well protraying Loki. This was the scene were I fell in love with, both. His epressions, the desperation, heartbroken, betrayel, the way his voice wavered. The shifting to anger. Everytime I watch this, I feel, so heartbroken for Loki. This is my favorite scene in this movie.
Odin's meaning: "Stop being stubborn and entitled and acknowledge what you've done wrong." Loki's interpretation: "Every negative thought you ever had about me is true and then some, so you have every right to hate me, disown me, and depose me first chance you get." Yeah, Loki got it right when he said open communication wasn't their family's forte.
have you noticed that most super villains are evil because they are just damaged. loki the adopted neglected child, magneto a holocaust survivor, the bad guy in arrow lost his wife, the lizard man in spiderman lost his arm, sindrom was rejected by his hero. the list goes on
The Green Goblin. Actually in the Comic book Loki teams up with him...it's a shame they rebooted Spiderman because Willem Dafoe stole the show Spiderman. Willem and Tom teaming up = AMAZING.
Ive never understood how people could cry over a movie: you know its acting, so whats the big deal? However, that sentiment changed the *moment* I first saw Tom's performance here.I was in the theater & after hearing his lines (particularly when he yells "TELL ME!") I felt overwhelmingly sad & then this strange cold, watery substance coming from my eyes,I was like, "Am I...am I crying? What kind of trickery is this!?!?" Lol,that was a bit of a shock for me,had NEVER shed tears from just watching a movie: if he made me get teary-eyed,you know he is some kind of actor!
So much emotion in three minutes, he goes from angry to miserable to worried for the very man who lied to him about who he was from the very beginning. No villain in the MCU will ever come close to having the depth and character development that Loki has. Outstanding, bravo to Tom Hiddleston.
It tore me apart from the inside out, and back again. You can nearly pinpoint the time when Loki loses hope that he will be Thor’s equal, that he may finally be appreciated in his ‘family’. His innocence is lost for good and he matures into a broken man in the span of three minutes (or so). His world has been shattered into pieces which cannot be put back together.
This scene is my favourite scene of all time. It is written superbly and then the acting is the cherry on top. I don't think I will ever be able to watch this scene without crying for Loki and feeling the raw emotion. Excellent plot, character development and of course astounding acting.
"Because no matter how much you claim to love me, you're gonna have a Frost Giant sitting in the throne is Asgard." That was touching. Tom is a great actor, he's now become one of my favorites!
I've seen this movie countless times and I've seen this scene even more than that and every time I watch it it still moves me. You can see Loki's world shattering and watch as he looses himself completely. It's amazing how Tom was able to channel such emotion and make it so believable.
Tom is such a great actor, this scene just broke my heart. He's so incredible as Loki and in this scene especially. That little "what..?" at 2:00 just breaks me every time I hear it.
MeiLinEakin This WHOLE scene guts me... I feel SO much like Loki, it's preposterous... it's as if his character's my soul twin. IDK how else to elaborate... All I can say is that I've also never felt equal to my siblings due to having diff. dads- I ALWAYS knew something was wrong w. me but wasn't told until later. My mom didn't think it'd affect me, but it's part of the reason my PTSD is as bad as it is.... maybe even only a SLIVER of the pie, but w. some serious carb. overload!! (!)
i feel horrible for loik! he didnt asked to picked up by odin or to be the monster he thinks he is. Odin is just a dumbass with bad parenting skills. I do like the character developement behind loki though. Loki was so focused on trying the be the favorite of Odin that he failed to realize that he was Thor's favorite and always have been.
nikki lott Sadly, this is the same for many of us, who never ask to be born & are put thru turmoil of any kind, esp. in 3rd world countries. -.- This is only a portion of why Loki is I & I am Loki!! O.o *dun-dUn-DUN!* ~Poor Thor too b.c he cared for Loki no matter how much Loki would screw him over, but due to his blindness to really see what was in front of him truly, this is why he got into serious madness (poor Loki!). -.-
I just can't hate Loki, no matter what he does. No matter how many people he kills or how many cities he destroys, I might be crazy to say this (probably) but I just can't stop loving him, he is the best Marvel's character, and Tom is a great actor. This scene is really deep and beautiful, you see his angst and his resentment, but you also see that he is fragile and emotional. Odin is a bit of a dick, don't like him at all, but I still want Loki and Thor to be in good terms, Odin can kiss my ass.
Nicky Garcia It's not about how "hot" he is, it's about the acting and Tom Hiddleston made this scene so good that you just cant help but feel bad for Loki.
I never felt Thor deserved the way loki treated him. Odin was kind of an asshole, but Thor, I always thought Thor did love loki. Loki just couldn't or didn't want to see it. Bc it wouldn't fit his thinking that he was never loved. But he definitely was by Thor and friga, and I think even by odin, even if odin favored Thor. But I haven't seen the film in a LONG time, so I'm not too sure about specifics. I just remember distinctly disliking odin after watching it.
Out of all the Marvel villains Loki is my favorite. Imagine being brought up to believe you were someone who you really were not and in one fell swoop it all comes crashing down especially to someone like Loki who really wasn't a bad guy at all. His character has depth and this scene really does prove that.
Loki in a way hates but still loves his adopted family in a sense in Thor: The Dark World he loved Friga very deeply and cared for her and willing to join Thor to avenge his adopted mother.
@@darkmystery5731 It's not simple at all. First he directs his hatred at his brother, but still loves his father and wants to win his approval. But then his methods of trying to win his father's approval don't work, so he tells himself he doesn't need anyone at all. Then his mother dies and he starts to realise he's not as above it all as he's been pretending to be, so he gives up on hating his brother and tries to concentrate all his hateful energy on his father, but that only works up to a point. Then his father dies and he realises he actually still loves him too and he's wasted the last four years being resentful, but now it's too late. Then he has to decide where to go from there now that he can't run on resentment and hatred anymore.
@@darkmystery5731 True, but even at that point I wouldn't have called it simple. Nothing about Loki's mindset is simple. I guess you were just trying to put Loki's complexity into simple terms, lol.
2:01 kills me that little “wha” as he’s scared, angry, upset and feeling like he’s not wanted anymore. Bless him. I love loki so much anyway but this breaks my heart. The tears in his eyes and the “tell me” is heart breaking. Well done Tom on this scene
Odin failed at parenting, he should have just told loki from the start and the crisis would be averted. And even worse when he could have fixed it, he took a nap. HE TOOK A NAP!!!!!!!!!
Bonnie STEPHENS To be precise. An Allfather is a very powerful being, but such power comes at a price. In the Allfather's case, he has to sleep for god knows how long, to recharge that power.
+Rachel Engels You know. Its not that simple. You try to create a direction in life for your kids. How to tell when the best time is to tell your kid "hey, I'm not your real dad?" When's the best time?
The sad part is, when Loki was asking if he was cursed, he was actually hoping it was a curse. Because a curse can be broken, it can be undone. The fact that it wasn't a curse means it can't be undone, can't be fixed. That he actually is a Frost Giant, and that nothing can change it. He would have preferred that it was a curse, at that point.
+Kierra Winters And that is the crux of the whole misunderstanding. Loki is a guy who assumes the worst, like you did just now. I am sure that what Odin meant was "Those plans no longer matter because they were made when I first found an enemy's baby, but since then I have come to love you as my own son". Which he tries to tell Loki, repeatedly ("You are my son"). You can't blame a parent for wanting to shield his child from a hard truth, to prolongue his childhood and happy ignorance. You just look at your child and can't bring yourself to break all that, and then the child is all grown up, and the truth has gone on too long, and you're too caught up in it. 99% of our parents do the same mistake every day. If Loki truely was just a "trophy" to Odin, he would have told him the truth from the begining. The fact that he didn't just showes that he cares for Loki. Otherwise, how do you think he planned to do this whole "uniting realms" thing? "Hi, son? How are you today? Good? Well, you know, I just want to tell you that you are actually a whole different species and a son of our enemy. Now, would you mind being a go-between diplomat of our nations and help me establish relationships with Frost Giant community?" - seriously? But Loki is too caught up in his feelings, too emotional to listen. The real pity is that Odin unfortunately goes to sleep. I think that if he didn't, the whole crises would have been averted.
+Вероника Столетняя well Odin put the idea that Loki was born to be a king. This made Loki's world come tumbling down. Everything he knew was a lie. If he was told from the beginning he wouldn't of became the person he was. If he was told what he was he would of came to the understanding that he was different.
Lily Moss-yerg And who said that it wasn't true? You assume it because of Loki's words? Who feels hurt and betrayed? Odin didn't lie. Loki WAS born to be king, and maybe Odin did think that he could make a worthy king. Those words actually has double meaning: 1) hidden one - that Loki is actually an only son of another king, and 2) obvious one - that Odin considered Loki fit to be a king. But remember, even before Loki knew the truth, he never wanted the throne and was perfectly content with Thor becoming the king (as long as he had matured), because it is a duty of a first-born. It is a THOUGHT that counts for Loki, that obvious meaning was what mattered. But when he knew that he was a Frost Giant, Loki just got it in his head that Odin decieved him IN THIS, TOO. Because, right, if Odin lied to him about his parentage, it makes perfect sense that when he said that Loki would make a great king, he lied, too, right? Because "How can one think of a Frost Giant on the throne of Asgard", right? Loki was scared, and disgusted with himself. It was Loki's hurt feelings talking.
This and the scene where Loki fights Thor at the end saying “Is it madness? Is it? IS IT?!!” completely won me over to Tom Hiddleston as this was the first film I ever seen him act. Loki was also the reason I fell in love with this film as I could relate to him so much being the younger brother in a Korean family as in our culture the eldest son is basically the one that inherits everything like most patriarchal cultures or monarchical countries
i've loved hiddles since his earlier movies, his acting is superb. especially in this scene, you really feel it. Chris is an awesome Thor, but there's so much depth to Loki, we're supposed to be against him, but you can't help but want to be on his side.
Such incredible incredible acting from Tom. What an authentic scene. You can really feel Loki’s anger and disappointment hearing about his true identity. What an actor.
loki just needed a hug. Young men always go through this stage where they need their fathers "approval", and unfortunely loki did not recieve that. loki could not accept just Thors and friggas love because that was not what he sought. he sought love and approval from Odin, and acceptance, because Odin favored thor all those years of his life
***** well I didnt mean a literal hug, I just meant loki needed someone to show him affection. true and honest affection. beyond just thor telling him that they are true brothers.
When he claimed to be a monster I teared up in the theater. This scene made me cry so hard. Because all he wanted was approval from who he thought was he father but in the end he was just another tool.
Or Odin found Thor easier to connect with because they had more of the same interests and Loki interpreted it all wrong. Maybe Odin should have realised just how underappreciated Loki felt and done more to allay those feelings, but maybe he just didn't know how. You can tell in this scene that he doesn't know what to say to Loki to make him understand. Every word he says just seems to make Loki take it all worse. When he's arguing with Thor and even when he's banishing him he's perfectly in control, but here he just seems at a loss.
My family used to watch Thor when I was little and I was always the only one who liked Loki. My mom and sister are _obsessed_ with Thor. I only just recently watched it again and I have realized that even as a child I was the most sane person in my family.
"So I am no more than another stolen relic, locked up here, until you might have some use of me" That's it!! You got it Loki, that's why this Ass Odin did this to u! :(
It's a good thing Loki doesn't have all his fangirls broadcasting their thoughts to him. He'd have gone even more off the rails if he'd had to listen to the constant "Your Daddy hates you." ***** Except the first thing Odin says to Loki when Loki asks what he is is, "you're my son", which he repeats and says he wants to protect him.
Jasmine James :) Me too. I'm glad Thor tried to make Loki feel accepted among him and his friends. Including not giving up on him.
I agree, people keep on saying he's a villian, he wants to be loved!
I'm a Loki fan and everything, but let's not pretend he's innocent. All of that doesn't justify all the bad things he's done.
Noela Loves Donghan
There is no one that pretending Loki is innocent.
Atleast he had Freya supporting him, her little mummy's boy (=
The feels, everytime. Such a powerul performance.
This is one of the best scenes in Marvel Cinematic history.
Tricia Zhou *2018* and it just got better.

One of! 😃👍
I Seriously can't believe that this is that Shy Tom Hiddleston. He changes his voice and personality to fit any character. It's amazing!
Tom Is amazing and Perfect. I Wouldn't change a thing on him.
Tom's acting skills are amazing :D
Decorah Burster What do you mean shy? When has Tom ever been shy?
Abhinaya Mary Koshy You never knew that he is shy person.
Tom's literally Loki. He can act like almost any character. Have you seen him try to copy other actors' voices? He is literally the real life equivalent of Loki. It's awesome.
He is not Shy, He is very polite !
I was fangirling all throughout this just because of lokis voice and when he yelled and i saw tears in his eye i had to keep myself from screaming and then he was like 'Wha..?" AND I ALMOST DIED
IM ABOUT TOTHROW SOMETHING
lol
Jana Grady WE HAVE THE SAME NAME! That so vool
RIGHT!? The contrast though..... Tom Hiddleston is brilliant!
I start crying after seeing this video ....loki is heartbroken after knowing the truth ...but still he cares about his father ....if i would be in his place i would don't care of anything.................
And tom's acting !!!!....he just nailed it
Who else wants to help me hug Loki?
👉🙌👈
MEEEEEE
Ooh! OOH! Pick me!! Pick me!!
;_;
I love Loki!! Even tho he's done terrible things. I cried like a baby in his death scene in Thor 2
sarahmontr he's not actually dead
Say what you will about this film but Tom Hiddleston acted the SHIT out of this scene. So powerful. Loki was not a villain in this movie. He was a tragic anti-hero.
Tragic backstory doesn't justify terrible actions. He tried to destroy his whole species due to internalised self-hatred
Loki was a villain, not an anti-hero. Anti-heroes still help people but not in the traditional way as heroes should be, like Deadpool. Loki tried to rule a civilization against their desire and killed many people in the process.
(Edit: I wrote this without many attention that you refer precisely about this movie lol)
Yeah, but still.
Loki almost sacrificed his life to save thor, he was brainwashed by Thanos...and people accept bucky as a hero even though bucky also killed innocent people. Loki was the villain in avengers one, he showed progress and became an anti-hero
@@jeonxverse7751 yeah, I can agree with that. But exactly, the first post was about that even in the first one Loki was an anti-hero, which he is not. I did the same appreciation that you did, I only talked about about the first Thor Loki and the first Avengers hahaha.
TRUE
if you keep a huge secret, regarding your child, from your child, the worst possible thing can happen is the child learning the secret for himself. this will cause questions, doubt, and in loki's case identity crisis.
EntertASIAN Couldn't have worded it any better.... ID CRISES!! o______.
Loki & I are 1....
And cause distrust.
It's stupid how the Academy Awards ignore superhero and blockbuster movies as Tom should have won, or at least be nominated for Best Supporting Actor. This scene is a perfect example of his acting. This is the best Marvel Movie IMO.
He has 3 awards that is because of his performance as Loki in the Avengers and Thor.
Ben W well said, he did some superb work in this movie. This scene alone felt so real.
Tom is a good actor, he'll get his one day not for Loki but for something equally brilliant. I can't say the same for Chris Hemsworth
chris acting was kinda....um.... lagging in the first thor movie, but in the later movies he has been really good
Agreed
I seriously almost cried Tom's performance is absolutely stunning also he looks so frickin charming and hot while crying
I can't deny how good looking Loki is
I love after Loki is furious with Odin he still calls the guards because he does care about Odin deep down I think
You're right, he is good inside of his heart 💔
+Gavin Allerton Loki still loved him, even if their was only a single blood cell left in him that did. I cant blame him for any of this. One adopted to another, if my mom had made the same choice as Odin..Me and him would be the same.
same, see Loki isn't a bad person, he just wanted basically love
+God-Emperor of Mankind
Now he is, but then he was not.
he actually used his manners too lmao
Just about most favourite scene from loki, such raw passion! Brilliant acting from Tom
I love how is voice is so raspy and half way gone, it shows how much of an amazing actor he is
I love the stutter he does when he says I, and how his voice cracks, Tom is a phenomenal actor, and this scene proves it. Beautiful.
This scene will never fail to make me cry. Hiddleston’s acting is so impressive and it’s absolutely beautiful.
Odin: You were both born to be king.
Also Odin: Your birthright was to die.
Odin's meaning: "Stop being stubborn and entitled and acknowledge what you've done wrong."
Loki's interpretation: "Every negative thought you ever had about me is true and then some, so you have every right to hate me, disown me, and depose me first chance you get."
Yeah, Loki got it right when he said open communication wasn't their family's forte.
"Because I'm the monster who parents tell their children about at night?"
Aw Loki, you're not a monster :'(
Azaerin Cosplay if he is a monster, he's the most beautiful one I've ever seen! #dies
And what makes it all the more heartbreaking is that he’s on the verge of tears as he says it.
Tom hiddleston...why you still handsome even when you cry??..i dont understand...
Exactly.....Why?????
That's what we used to call charisma ^^
So true

EXACTLY!
have you noticed that most super villains are evil because they are just damaged. loki the adopted neglected child, magneto a holocaust survivor, the bad guy in arrow lost his wife, the lizard man in spiderman lost his arm, sindrom was rejected by his hero. the list goes on
No one's born evil.
some choose their own paths towards the desire to do good or the urge to became a master villain
Nope, Norman Osborne in Spiderman ( Willem Dafoe's acting = Genius) brought it on himself through his greed.
im not sure who that is, whats his supervillian name
The Green Goblin. Actually in the Comic book Loki teams up with him...it's a shame they rebooted Spiderman because Willem Dafoe stole the show Spiderman. Willem and Tom teaming up = AMAZING.
When he screams "TELL ME" breaks me everytime. His tone, his expression, all the pain
I love Tom Hiddlestons Performance in this scene. I'm broken and dead.
The little "...waa?..." At 2:01 is HEART WRENTCHING. UGG THE FEELS.
And this is why Tom Hiddleston has more fan girls than Chris Hemsworth ever will
so many feels, definitely my fave scene in the whole movie
*5 YEARS LATER*
Chris Hemsworth is laughing at ur comment
Both are excellent actors though
jokes on you we love them both
So much emotion in three minutes, he goes from angry to miserable to worried for the very man who lied to him about who he was from the very beginning. No villain in the MCU will ever come close to having the depth and character development that Loki has. Outstanding, bravo to Tom Hiddleston.
You are absolutely right!
Don’t put family in quotes. Sereiously I know adopted ppl it’s not funny
This scene is my favourite scene of all time. It is written superbly and then the acting is the cherry on top. I don't think I will ever be able to watch this scene without crying for Loki and feeling the raw emotion. Excellent plot, character development and of course astounding acting.
Jesus....Tom Hiddleston portrayed Loki perfectly
"Because no matter how much you claim to love me, you're gonna have a Frost Giant sitting in the throne is Asgard."
That was touching. Tom is a great actor, he's now become one of my favorites!
I think he said you could never allow a frost gaint to sit on the throne of asgard
Just a typo
This is where you really start to feel sorry for Loki.
I've seen this movie countless times and I've seen this scene even more than that and every time I watch it it still moves me. You can see Loki's world shattering and watch as he looses himself completely. It's amazing how Tom was able to channel such emotion and make it so believable.
Thor 1 has best acting scenes in MCU. This one, Thor banishement, Loki suicide in wormwhole are masterpieces
Yes Loki..You are cursed...Cursed with good looks...

Tom plays this part and character out so well, that I just want to hug him, despite his infamous motives!
I heard that in Thor 2, Loki died.
cameronjr8 I literally sat there in the cinema weeping.
cameronjr8 Go see it. All will be explained. ;)
***** I was bawling my eyes out. And then they just had to throw that cliff hanger in at the end, and I had a panic attack.
Tom is such a great actor, this scene just broke my heart. He's so incredible as Loki and in this scene especially. That little "what..?" at 2:00 just breaks me every time I hear it.
At 2:01, "Wha-?" kills me every time.
Same here bub ;-;
That made me cry honestly I just wanna hug him and punch Odin
O.o *dun-dUn-DUN!*
~Poor Thor too b.c he cared for Loki no matter how much Loki would screw him over, but due to his blindness to really see what was in front of him truly, this is why he got into serious madness (poor Loki!). -.-
I love this scene so much. Tom Hiddleston is ridiculously talented.
Yeah agreed
Let me ask, if Tom Hiddleston wasn't hot would you feel the same?
HarvesterOfShadows yeah if he looked like ron jeremy she wouldnt be saying the same thing
Out of all the Marvel villains Loki is my favorite. Imagine being brought up to believe you were someone who you really were not and in one fell swoop it all comes crashing down especially to someone like Loki who really wasn't a bad guy at all. His character has depth and this scene really does prove that.
"... especially to someone like Loki who really wasn't a bad guy at all."
I bet the families of those guards he got killed feel differently.
Honestly I think Loki is everyone's favourite villain he's so awesome
Yes, but I personally prefer Thanos.
Tell Me!!!!!! So much empassioned pain, this is one clip that sticks with me
And the 'cause I'm the monster parents tell their children about at night' and the 'what'
+Kimberly Olson same
Loki in a way hates but still loves his adopted family in a sense in Thor: The Dark World he loved Friga very deeply and cared for her and willing to join Thor to avenge his adopted mother.
***** Yeah pretty much but he kinda loves his Odin as well he could have left him to die but ge got help instead
It's simple. Frigga was the only one who never made feel Loki less loved than Thor.
***** No I wrote it right. Read well. I said she NEVER made feel Loki as he was less loved than his brother.
This is so sad. I died inside... SO MUCH THOUGHT INTO THE ACTING, AND IT'S JUST SO...
Died and came back to life eh

“Because I-I-I’m the monster parents tell their children about at night?” My heart shattered
Odin failed at parenting, he should have just told loki from the start and the crisis would be averted. And even worse when he could have fixed it, he took a nap. HE TOOK A NAP!!!!!!!!!

*Did that help? :P
Superb acting from Hiddles. He truly embodies Loki and all his pain.

Same
"Those plans no longer matter." translation: "You no longer matter."
And all the fan girls get real mad real quick
This was when I fell in love with Loki/Tom Hiddleston. He's a brilliant actor.
i've loved hiddles since his earlier movies, his acting is superb. especially in this scene, you really feel it. Chris is an awesome Thor, but there's so much depth to Loki, we're supposed to be against him, but you can't help but want to be on his side.
One of The few scenes In The entire Marvel Universe that are really memorable and powerful
Women foo jeez
*too
Or Odin found Thor easier to connect with because they had more of the same interests and Loki interpreted it all wrong.
By far one of my favorites scenes from Thor Movie, Tom's acting in this part is just amazing and so heartbreaking
Tom Hiddleston's acting so good even the great Anthony Hopkins faints.
Hands down, one of my favorite scenes in a Marvel movie. SO much feeling in this
2:23 anyone who feels that way about themselves needs and deserves a hug and some unconditional love regardless of who or what they are.
My family used to watch Thor when I was little and I was always the only one who liked Loki. My mom and sister are _obsessed_ with Thor. I only just recently watched it again and I have realized that even as a child I was the most sane person in my family.
"So I am no more than another stolen relic, locked up here, until you might have some use of me"
That's it!! You got it Loki, that's why this Ass Odin did this to u! :(
Stolen, saved from certain death to reclaim your birthright, same difference really.
It's a good thing Loki doesn't have all his fangirls broadcasting their thoughts to him. He'd have gone even more off the rails if he'd had to listen to the constant "Your Daddy hates you." "Your brother doesn't give a damn." "Your mommy doesn't give enough of a damn." "Asgard hates you." "Everybody hates you." "Only we love you." "But we don't exist in your reality ... Shame."
I find that Tom Hiddleston can act Loki really well. In this scene my heart was broken. I love it.
No matter how many times I watch this, my heart shatters every time.
tom hiddleston made the most incredible work bringing loki’s sorrow to life like this, he deserves even more credit
this is the scene where i started falling in love with tom. his voice is breathtaking
i think he narrated a few things so listen to those
