- LOKI, the god of mischief trapped himself in the time-loom to save the multiverse. Loki is now completely alone and without his friends at the End of Time. As he said, "Either you die a villain, or live long enough to see yourself becoming a hero".
Loki season 2's ending not only solidifies his important role in the MCU's multiverse but is also an incredibly dark reminder of his greatest fear: being alone.
Tom Hiddleston says LOKI S2 finale was the conclusion to 14 years of his life.
Heck of a journey.

His mother would be so proud of him
So would Odin and Thor.
@@ryangamble6697No, much more. It was she who fed and raised him, it was she who instilled in him a passion for magic and taught him everything that she herself knew. She would be prouder of him than 10 Thors and Odins combined
She was proud of him regardless, but yes! 🫡 freya
“I didn’t do it for her”
Thor : NOOOOOOOOOOOO 😭
I like to think that she knew (she has foresight n clairvoyance n stuff) and always have been proud of him
In 2012, you couldn't pay me enough to believe that Loki would do this for all of us.
“I know what kind of god I need to be. For you, for all of us”.
Love this quote so much.
It's a reference to Loki's final words in the first Thor movie from 2011
@@TCfaloK That’s right.
he had some amazing character development. though it is sad when you realize he'll be alone for eternity
Then you don't know Loki.
He's a trickster not a hater broh.
"There's no throne, there is no version of this where you come out on top."
- Tony Stark, 2012
There are infinite versions in the Multiverse........so....There is one where he comes out on top
@@ahnaftahmid7811 shut the fuck up bro nobody likes people like you
@@kevinschafer464nah you stfu lil bro he’s right
@@ahnaftahmid7811he did, but given how he’s grown and changed, he had no choice
Yeah that was a easter egg.😅
I’m more then fine if this is the last we’ll ever see of Loki. His arc is complete, he’s fulfilled his glorious purpose and earned his throne, but more importantly, has accepted the burdens that come with it.
Everything you said is true 🥲
This won't be the last time we see Loki. His tree exists in What If...?
He'll be back eventually, and I hope Thor finds him when shit goes down in the multiverse.
@@CortezaDeAbeduldoubt it will happen. The actor said he retired from acting as Loki, his character's journey has ended. This Loki, our MCU Loki, achieved glorious purpose twice, first he saved his brother in 2018, second he holds the multiverses and their timelines from decay, becoming the Yggdrasil, the World Tree. He's not the god of story, he's The Keeper of Time.
Im not. I hate this ending
But i respect that you like it
I guess he was right when he said to Thanos not everyone has what it takes to be a God. He became a true God because of his actions, his purpose to put his loved ones before himself and to carry the ultimate burden of overseeing and protecting each and everyone's lives in every timeline-the essence which He Who Remains never fully grasped. A throne and a crown does not make a king, only his actions and his intent.
Chaotic Neutral is a Happy Medium we should all ascribe to. I love He who remains. The protector within the heart of the tree of life. Fate will shift in favor of the good with surprises.o
Fun bit of color theming, too - what color is the Time Stone?
Green. Just like Loki. Because Loki exists at all points in time. In other words, he has always existed as the God of Time, so the stone's color takes after him.
Loki never said "not everyone has what it takes to be a god" to Thanos. The exact line is "You will never be a god".
He went from smirking atop Avengers Tower while the Chitauri attacked NYC to a satisfied smile holding all of existence together.
He went from an arrogant god to the most humblest god.
Not going to lie, it brought a tear to my eye seeing Loki realize that he does have people who care about him, that he cares about as well, and gives up pretty much everything to ensure their safety, for all time...always.
In some ways what Thor told Loki in Ragnarok was right all along. That Loki could not fathom a life apart from Asgard, but that was his glorious purpose all along.
No one really cared about him, only his mom
@stevecristian6932 at the beginning yes. But later on, Thor and others cared when he died
SO THATS WHY THE TIME STONE IS GREEN!
Underrated comment
I read somewhere that the mind stone and Wanda are interconnected, looks like the same goes for Loki and the time stone.

In the end, Loki, like Spiderman, hold together the MCU, both meta aspect and physically speaking, and both learned what it is to truly be a hero, to be greater than themselves, to hold yourself to a glorious purpose, to sacrifice what you think you want want, your hopes and dreams, to uphold a duty of care, so that those you care about will be ok at the end of the day

For me, this is the real ending of the MCU. Endgame was the end, a couple of movies as an epilogue (Spiderman movies and Shang chi) and then Loki was like a full Ending of the whole MCU story.
Best thing the MCU has ever done.
His clothes becoming part of the branches is such a fucking cool visual bit. Like, he isn't just holding the multiverse together - he has literally anchored it to himself.
Damn what a great ending for a character. This was done so well I don't even care if i never see Loki in the MCU again as the story was so perfectly completed.
1000 times better than being killed by thanos

His glorious purpose. His sacrifice means more than Tony’s. Tony died. Saved millions. Loki is alive saving everything. Everything. Loki.

Finally he said and it happens ❤ glorious purpose ❤
The most powerful character of MCU
The time stone takes after him. That is why it's green
Now think about it, wouldn't this Loki be worthy of rasing the Mjolnir? I mean, dude literally gave up everything and agreed to spend the eternity alone only to protect everybody's life, if this isn't the noblest of the noblest sacrifices someone made on the MCU, idk what beign noble is.
Like imagine the pain anyone would feel, sitting there forever, without beign able to see his loved ones personally forever while watching over them, his brother, his mother, his father, Sylvie, his friends, all while watching his own past mistakes, having to remember the monster he once was, and still dude is there, smiling, sarisfied because everyone is well because of him.
This guy, would without a doubt be worthy of it.
Probably one of the few versions of Loki who is. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if even ODIN bended the knee in respect of what Loki sacrificed, having finally, truly, understood what it means to be a King and a God.
I mean with how powerful he's right now it wouldn't be hard for him to just destroy the thing
He's holding all the Mjolnirs in all the timelines right now
Mjolnir isnt worthy of being picked by him
Mjolnir is not worthy of him
the greatest ending in history of MCU
Well, I'm certain it would be, but we're kinda outside of that now lol
Next to the endings of Infinity War and Endgame
I think it’s time for a reboot. Finally after all these years
bes tending in history of TV
This, No Way Home, Infinity War and Endgame
Odin would've been proud of you Loki
Screw Odin, he never treated Loki right. More importantly, his mom and brother would definitely be proud!
He didn't do it for him
4:12 bro the bgm is the best!!
Loki has always been a victim and remains one. He was left as a small child to suffer in the cold alone without love and affection, in Asgard he suffered from his own inferiority, being a villain he suffered from the betrayal of his adoptive family and who he really was. He suffered because of the death of his mother, who died indirectly because of him. He sacrificed himself for Thor, because he knew that Thanos was killing half, which means one of the brothers had to be killed and Loki made his choice. In the series, Loki tried his best to do the right thing, he fought for Mobius and Sylvia, and in the end he was forced to suffer alone again in order to save everyone. He will sit there forever, hear and see everyone he has ever known, but no one will hear him or know about his condition. Isn't this the worst ending for such a broken character?
After Endgame, this scene hits hard 😢
In the end, This Loki became one of a kind who remained faithful to his friends and the one he truly loved despite the hardships. His story concludes in a bittersweet way for him, but he finally reaches his point of purpose where he can do something good for every living being in all of the multiverse. Even if he must watch forever and even after that, he’ll never regret his choice to save the lives of his friends and every single life that deserves freedom to choose their own path no matter where they are or who they are, just as he did. That is what it means to be Loki, god of mischief and now the god of stories.
For All Time. Always.
Always.
What makes this so poetic is that Thor once said to his brother " you'll always be the God of Mischief.. but you could be more." Thor knew that Loki had the potential to do great things and Loki has the pleasure of knowing his brother was right and in a way is happy his brother believed in him despite of everything between them. Its sad Thor will never know what his brother has sacrificed and given up just so people in the multiverse can live free. Atleast Loki can still watch his brother go on his adventures even thoe Thor will never know.
I am Loki of Asgard and I am burdened with glorious purpose
"I am Loki, of Asguard. and I am burdened with glorious purpose."
2:05 🥶❤️
"i am Loki"
"Prince of Asgard"
"Brother to thor of Asgard"
"Now....."
"The God Of Stories and guardian of the multiverse"
And here he's standing... looking to infinity and eternity... hearing those for whom he's sacrificed his own freedom and accepted his greatest fear - being alone... On his mouth little smile and on his eyes a tears, but this isn't a tears of bitterness - it's a tears of happiness. He's finally sitting on throne, he's saved his friends and love... He's finally find his GLORIOUS PURPOSE!..
This was extremely beautiful
One of the best finales ever, fucking loki creats ygdrassil and becomes the God of stories. Amazing character development, I hope he pops in future marvel cinema
Bro made the ultimate sacrifice, and chose the throne when he least wanted to save his friend and everything.
Thor would be so proud of Loki
I cried during this cause he would never see his friends, his Brother ever again....but in the end he saved everyone and has been turn into a true hero....a king
*The first true God of Time and Multiverse*
My only qualm with the ending is that his parents, who disappeared into a cosmic mist, didn’t appear in front of him, beaming with pride to tell Loki that he has become more than they ever hoped for him.
That his father is proud of him, for the sacrifice he made to do what he could not himself do.
And that his mother is proud of him for the loved ones he did it all for.
That, would have cemented Loki’s arc as the GOAT, the GOAT at the end of time, forever and always
I could imagine Odin hearing Loki's line from first movie " I could have done it ...for you, for all of us".
@@Endru85x “I did it, for all of you…”
Yeah, so many little touches they could have used.
It was not for his parents. He realised he didn't need to make em proud anymore. It was his own journey his own choice. Loki did everything for Odin until Thor Ragnarok after that he changed. He did this to save his friends and TVA and finally became the first loki tk be a hero.
That’s more than a little hamfisted
i already shed tears, dont make this worse :(
The last think I want is a throne! 😢

No puedo dejar de ver esta escena, es tan realmente épica. Siempre me eriza la piel y casi me saca las lágrimas. Te amo mucho Loki 💚💚💚
Loki is the best marvel character now
Marvel should never do another Loki movie/series. This is the greatest ending to ANY series EVER!
They can show him like a cosmic entity for emergency situations like multiversal big threats in future avenger movies. He holding the multiverse can travel where and when he wants if needed.
The Ultimate Sacrifice
Loki - Villain ❌
Loki - Hero ✔️
he made the biggest sacrifice in the MCU change my mind.
3:34 from here the vibe ❤
I am Loki of Asgard, Burden with Glorious Purpose!
Un trono es una responsabilidad, no un privilegio.
Loki's greatest lesson
Become the god of story
Finally and Forever❤
Odin would've been proud
How many years (relative to us) was loki grabbing every possible strand to every possible multiverse before he sat on that thrown. It may have looked like moment's to use, but he grasped hold of seemingly infinite things. It must've been thousands of millennia.
Exactly my thought, each strand is literally one whole reality of the infinite Multiverse...
Trillions of infinities.
it’s a perfect final for a perfect character
Frigga is proud of you Loki
Jesus... this music is phenomenal
This ending never seizes to bring tears to my eyes because of what it means for Loki and the whole Odinson family tree.
At the beginning, he saw the throne as a forthcoming. A birthright. His arrogance then led him down a path of where he was constantly unhappy, constatly losing, and constantly alone simply because of his actions being his own sake and nobody else's. While he did know what it meant to be a god, his arrogance led him so far astray that he could never follow in his adoptive father's footsteps and claim the throne he had always thought belonged to him.
And then, we were shown how even at the precise point we thought was the point of no return for Loki, he still had the chance to learn that to be a wrothy successor to the throne is to be selfless beyond all measure, allow others to be happy at the expense of your own happiness, to give the innocent ones a chance even if it means you'll become the loneliest one, and to be ok with that. He still could learn that being a king was not a birthright or something to want... but instead, a noble sacrifice to protect those who can't protect themselves.
That's why this ending brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it. It is in this moment that he finally accepts all of that responsibility, all of those sacrifices, knowing that he is giving up his life to take his throne not so he can be king... but so that nobody else will suffer for his shortcomings.
He is finally a worthy king... and his entire family, who once thought him a lost cause, would be so proud of the man he has become.
Hai appena detto ciò che pensavo di Loki 💚

what a tragic yet beautiful ending, the journey this man went through cannot be compared to anything!
“I am Loki of Asgard and I am burdened with glorious purpose”👑💚🥺
2:10 adding dialogue from previous scenes here is genius, honestly it would have been cool if they had lines from throughout Loki’s MCU tenure over this sequence, would have made it feel even more like a full circle ending to his character arc, would have even made logical sense as he’s in the end of time where it’s established that voices from across all time can be heard
God of multiverse
He remains fancy technology only. Lets him support the secret timeline. A single timeline stretched across infinity where he makes every infinite parallel of a universe follow the same timeline and basically prunes anyone else that deviates from those course of events. Why Loki literally is supporting infinity? I think this shows that magic has far more potential and power than technology
There is a reason Dr. Doom uses both.
Odin, Frigg and Thor should know what Loki had became, Loki started as a boy who wants to be part of something, and now he had everything but he s the loneliest god in the whole universe
04:13 i'm literally crying with goosebumps! what a feeling!!!
