That is one nice little tractor. My uncle had a little 861 Ford that was similar in size and power. You could do most any chore/utility job on the farm. Great tractor for kids to learn on as well.
@@GeigerFarm I have wondered about that very thing as well. Same engine specifications it has to be the spring settings in the injection pump. One of these days I’ll look into it just for kicks.

A nice big chrome IH sign would look really good. lol Our Massey had 16-9-30 made drawbar right height. The 574 had low drawbar. W-6 we put drawbar up as high as it would go for hauling manure in snow. Thanks
Yup Don, 30 inch tires would make it right! I have come to like the 28s though on this tractor 🙂. They are about balanced for the horsepower 😉. Do you know the vintage of the case eagle? Jett took it off of a bare hood.
@@donvoll2580 You're right Don! 1960-69 Case made the 530 and the emblem looks about right :) I let him keep it because the remnants of the J I Case Plow Works Co wound up being purchased by Massey Harris!!!
The rollbar is a factory option for the 200 series tractors. The top canopy is a 400 series massey tractor cap. You can use them together with just a slight modification of the older roll bar's top mount! I think I had to narrow the width. My 471 has the modern version.
The pin that holds the drawbar on my 2705 fell out because those two Bolts to hold the plate up there fell off luckily I had safety chain on it was while I was mowing hay
😳😡. My 6180 has dropped it’s drawbar twice in the last year. It is going to get rebuilt soon. Can’t have play which works the pin up and down like an impact hammer!

Hehe, I have a "new" 255 and just yesterday I was noticing the drawbar was a bit light compared to my 180. Nice mod for sure. Great tractor.

The rollbar is a factory option for the 200 series tractors. The top canopy is a 400 series massey tractor cap. You can use them together with just a slight modification of the older roll bar's top mount! I think I had to narrow the width. My 471 has the modern version.
