    Outstanding. I have less than perfect hearing but I could understand every word you said. The photography was clear, well lit and focused. Each step was fully explained. I believe I could do a brake job on a MF tractor now. You are an excellent teacher.

    Thanks for the video. Got a '69 MF175 with no brakes. Been looking for a video for a long time. Once I get those done I have to move on the the PTO that quit working a couple years ago. It was my grandads last tractor and I will not part with it till she dies.

    I did this job on my father's 354 international, same setup, took me a little bit to figure it out, slick setup. Tremendous braking force, if you wanted you could steer the tractor with the brakes alone, as long as you were not on a hard surface.

    when you adjusting the brakes on a 165 you should have the wheel off the ground and rotate the wheel while you adjusting the pedal up to make sure that the brakes are not binding because the brake come on a lot sooner than the pedal suggest. This is more important with the later wet brake assembly these brakes start coming on with very little pressure on the pedal. Its better to have the brake pedal as low as possible.

    I’m a city boy and I love watching do it yourself videos like this. I’ve MyBenefits mechanically inclined since I was 4 years old. My grandfather owned busses and trucks and it has been in my blood. I absolutely love working on vehicles of all kinds. I will always remember my uncle teaching me Shen I was 7 years old working on the dump trucks in the mid 70’s. My love for old iron was born that first day.
    I hope Nick appreciates everything you teach him to grow up to be a responsible young man like his grandfather.
    It truly takes a village to raise a child.something we have forgotten in today’s world.
    Today you can’t touch your own new vehicle without voiding the factory warranty. Makes me wonder if we are allowed to own anything these days instead of leasing it.

    • @farmgpa
      @farmgpa  ปีที่แล้ว

      The mechanical operation is probably identical but there is minor differences like the size of the brake plates 7” verses 8 3/4” so when ordering parts you must be year(serial number) specific.

En tout les cas j'aime ce type d'engin très robuste et jolie à mes yeux, encore merci à vous pour vos vidéos car même si je comprends pas votre langue j'arrive à comprendre par rapport aux gestes et manipulations que vous faite merci à vous.
