Menacing looking Scott is a natural deterrent to predators, unless you're talking about the kind that sell shovelware for wii U
As someone who IS massively into retro turn-based tactics game: Scott's impression of Triangle Strategy is 100% spot-on. It's a lengthy, in-depth, dark fantasy political epic wearing the coat of a deep and wide turn-based strategy game. Yes, that's right: it's for a niche audience WITHIN a niche audience, but HOLYCRAP, if you fit that niche, it's one of the best of those ever made.
hahaha It is! And I love how Scott said it wasn't for newcomers because I actually had never played a tactical RPG before, but the trailer intrigued me and then Square did that thing they've been doing lately - releasing a demo where the save data carries over and omg was I hooked. I suddenly NEEDED that game and I drove around town until I finally tracked down a copy
Yep, niche within a niche. I enjoy tactics games, but I put down Triangle Strategy within like 4 hours of playing. It's just incredibly slow. There are plenty of games out there that get into the action a lot quicker. Currently my tactics game of choice is Super Robot Wars T.
I mean I'm not sure is it's thaaaat niche if it sold over a million copies.
@@oscarzxn4067niche compared to mario, call of duty, etc
@@oscarzxn40671m copies isn't really a big deal anymore, the games industry is massive these days.

As a massive Rune Factory fan, it was really cool to see Scott talk so in depth about the latest installment of the series.
Despite the issue with frame rate and graphics, I fucking loved RF5, put easily 200+ hours into. So hyped for the new games
You can really see how much Scott respects games, with how much he tells you he does.
Me: "I don't know if I can watch this film I was looking forward to. Man, a couple of hours is a serious commitment"
Also Me: "Oh boy new 2 hour Scott video, better watch it right now"
1:47:24 seeing Scott the Woz mention Thracia 776 feels like a Fever Dream and I like it because it's one of my favorites so it even getting mentioned is cool.
It's in my top 10 games ever.
Nintendo needs to re-release the Japan only Fire Emblem games, and they better not do a limited release like they did last time
I appreciate thracia i think leif has the best story of any lord on the series and the most interesting gameplay. I hope it gets remade along with fe4 very under-appreciated game in the series
True, I hope that fe4 remake leak is real
It would be incredibly funny for Scott to try Thracia 776. There is so much obtuse jank and soft locks in a blind playthrough at every step
Admittedly a lot of that Jank was Anti-Piracy stuff with answers in the instruction manual, but yeah any rerelease of Thracia is gonna need stuff to make sure people are aware of it, and even that won't fix B route.
The walkthrough I used straight up called a part of the game nearly impossible without save-scumming. I love the story of both it and FE4, but they're games that I think need remakes to truly shine due to how poorly they've aged in a lot of aspects on top of hardware limiting the ability to have cutscenes where the game would benefit from them strongly.
It was a delight to listen to Scott talk about Kirby for two hours and then some other games too I guess
Ant-Dude would be proud.
Honestly the fact that FE: Engage is pretty alright in his books is a minor miracle.
The fact he played it Is already a miracle ...did any earthquakes happened that day?

Speaking as someone who literally finished Persona 5 Royal yesterday (after clocking over 130 hours on the game), I can say that the wait doesn't affect how awesome the game is, even if you're not a JPRG fan. I was shocked at how much this game drew me in, to the point where I couldn't play anything else over the 5 months it took me to finish it. If I had time to play my Switch, I could only justify playing P5R.
Same it's an amazing game
Persona is sick for the first 40 hours. And then it gets so repetitive that I just wanted it to be over as soon as possible
Persona is mid
Too bad the writing sucks and the game treats assault like a joke. Gross
There’s a reason Yahtzee and Dunkey (who normally don’t like JRPGs) said Persona 5 was good.
Man I'm SO GLAD you liked Live A Live. This game is truly special. I hope you got the best ending. The true final boss became one of my favorite final fights.
Bro the twist where he actually played Fire Emblem Engage has gotta be one of his greatest moments ever
All I'm saying is Xenoblade 3 has absolutely amazing graphics especially considering the limited hardware of the switch. I can't wait for "Switch 2."
Well the fact activision/microsoft are dedicated to bringing full-fledged CODs to the system is nothing short of a good sign on multiple fronts
It means they feel they can actually make it work on the next system, and that theyre gonna be forced to optimize their game for lower-end systems because there's no way it'l be on par withthe current generation

@@nova3752The not very popular series that has four new games on Switch?
When I played Forgotten Land, whenever I saw something from a previous game, I literally was like, "ah, yeah! It's that thing from those other Kirby games!" Which was usually the only time during gameplay that I also came to the realization "oh, yeah, this game is 3D, and the others were not." It's so seamless. As much as I love the old Kirby formula, I'd love to see them keep doing 3D Kirby, at least for a while.
Also, Nintendo Switch Sports saying "how do we make a sports game feel more like our old sports games (the ones that didn't really deviate from real world sports)? I know! Make it Rocket League, but as if you were playing Rocket League on the same size field as the ones for cars, and you were a pretty average person, not a car or even someone who is good at sports."
If this had all the games in the original Sports games (both of them), plus some new additions, it could have been one of the best games on Switch. As it stands, now, it's just a mediocre game that kinda doesn't make sense, as far as why it was even made. It feels like something they meant to make a lot bigger, but didn't give it the budget to do so.
Also, with Prime Remastered, I actually turned up my volume to hear the music, and then you said "MY LORD," really loud, and everyone except me in my house is asleep, so, if they got woken up by you, I expect a full apology video by the end of the week.
