I will always use a strip of duct tape before i cut the carbon where it needs cut/trimmed before I lay it on my piece.. Then cut right through the middle of the tape. This kelps keeps the strands/pattern intact and has always worked very well for me. I tried painters tape once and it just was not sticky enough. Anyone that has cut this stuff and had the loose ends mess up their pattern will appriciate this tip. Hope it helps someone. Great vid
Yea it would come out cheaper but I'm just doing a top layer if you plan to create your own from scratch it would be more since you would need like a mold.
I have a carbon hood that has clear coat cracks I was thinking of sanding it down completely smooth then adding a carbon material over it thoughts an subjection ?
If the carbon it's self is not damaged then you should not have to add more carbon on top. You would just sand down, add more resin and then clear coat once all smooth
Brah you need to get your hands on a twin turbo carpet cleaner ! I’m just playing but for reals your garage floor is cleaner than the living room JK !!! You always do ballsy difficult stuff and I admire that my dude 🤙🏼👌🏼🤜🏼🤛🏼

Thank you for the info 🙏
Hard brush roller for next time. Keeps the fibers from spreading out and pushing the fabric down .. prepreg also keeps the ends from fraying
Good tutorial, thanks
If my fender is already painted, should I sand off all clear coating before attempting this? Or does it make a difference
Nice, the fiberglass fender is made with polyester resine or epoxy?
That I don't know I had already bought it like that I think its epoxy since the back is yellow from fiber glass strands
Have a link for the CF on amazon? I can only find 12" wide rolls. Looks like yours is wider than that
Good job 👍🏻
That actually looks crazy sheeeshh did it come out cheaper than if you were to buy a whole carbon panel ?

Why wouldn’t you prime the part black then you are all set. Good job. What I have done is use 3M tacit spray to hold the carbon fiber on the wrap.
Good vid man thanks, I didn't even know what it was called. A, so you can't lay it on the car without taking the panel off?
Appreciate it and you should take it off yo wrap it around

Lmao it just has pieces of the carbon on the floor it's actually clean. Appreciate you fam 🙌
Can I do it with black paint on the fender or do I have to sand down the paint completely?
You have to sand it down especially if the paint is peeling because it will just come off
Looks really good.
Appreciate it fam 🙌
How long does this take
A week more or less depending on the tools you have available. If you do it exactly line this easily a week
How is it holding up bro I’m about to do mine tomorrow!
So far good I did make an updated video on it if you want to check it out. th-cam.com/video/hQkpo8oo1ng/w-d-xo.html
@@Chrizleyva bro thank I just did my front bumper and your video definitely helped keep doing big things brother !
bruh, are you in Avondale area ? this Z looks familiar AF. i drive a rocket bunny V2 (white) carbon trunk/wing and bronze works
i seen you before
I was in avondale a while back but recently move this year
I would not do it on carpet much less indoor. The fiber is just as itchy as glass.
That would’ve been a lot easier to make using infusion method.
I agree
