I have both the EVO 8 and 16. They are great interfaces. I do have some questions / observations: - is there an iPad mixer for the interfaces? I use the EVO 8 to practice ( my Fractal FM9 is always connected to the EVO 8), and would like to use my iPad too, instead of having to use my MBP always, in order to have access to the EVO mixer. - it would be nice if there is an EQ, compressor and reverb per channel in the EVO mixer (or a channel strip), so I can use the interface live with its own mixer without the need for a DAW. - the audio from my MBP goes through the MAC 1+2 channel of the EVO mixer. For some reason, the input signal is always clipping. Due to the fact that this is a line input channel, it doesn’t have an input gain. I have to manually adjust the output signal of TH-cam, moises, etc to avoid clipping. Is there a way to adjust this within the EVO mixer?
There isn't an iPad app for controlling the EVO 8 or EVO 16 I'm afraid. I'm afraid the EVO interfaces do not have enough DSP power on board to run real-time effects in the mixer. They could be ran on the host PC, but this would add considerable latency and at that point you may as well just use the DAW and run the effects in there instead. The DAW channels shouldn't be clipping unless the youtube video or audio playback is also clipping. Can you send a message to support@evo.audio so we can check this?
Hi EVO team, amazing product and i very like it. But, could you make an update that when you work in 5.1 and beyond for the EVO 16? the main volume knob act like a master fader for all output Channel? And with calibration (volume, delay) it will be awsome! Thx
In your actual daw what actually appear for the EVO 8 input and eapecially what outputs? I assume you can send things out to things like the headphone outputs from inside the daw itself so i can switch between monitor outs and Headphone outs or both at the same time. . Im not sure how the app you have interacts with the daw you use in the evo 8 Cheers.
Please, when set the output channels to mono, why there isn't the option to control the level of the signal to those individual paths? They just go "thru". That is a major drawback in the design of both software and hardware. I love the sound of my Evo 16, but that design flaw makes me hate it at the same time. Is it really that complicated to assign a level control to a mono output? 😢
@@weareevoaudio I already did that back then when I bought it. They just said they would pass the recommendation to the engineering team, but no guarantees. And they told me you had a new line of products 8 times more expensive that had that simple function 🤷🏻♂️
I have a simple question: Can I use EVO-4 to connect 2 microphones while running a TH-cam Karaoke and get the combined sound on a external speaker(powered).
Yes, this is possible. You would just use the monitor mix to control the blend between the microphone audio and the youtube playback. If you need any help with this setup, send a mail to support@audient.com
Hey Adam, Question - I'm hooking up a Universal Audio Ox Box via optical cable to my EVO 16. Do you know if I have to set up anything in particular in the EVO software mixer? Thanks
The optical output on the OX is S/PDIF so ensure that the optical format for the input is set to S/PDIF rather than ADAT in the system panel of the EVO mixer software. Otherwise, you should have no other issues.
@@weareevoaudio thanks for the reply! Got it working, but hear digital artifacts. Do you set the clock to internal or external in the evo mixer software? Thanks
You'd need to set the clock source to Digi 1 or Digi 2 (Depending on which input you are using) on the EVO software so it can sync to the incoming ADAT signal. You'd need to ensure that the clock indicator next to your clock selection is green.
Is it possible to have all analog outputs set to DAW Thru and have my DAW's main output go to the two headphone outs on my Evo 16? Not using monitor speakers, only headphones, in my setup. Would like to use all analog outputs to send to hardware effects.
Yes, this is possible, when the analog outputs are in DAW THRU, the signal will still appear in the DAW 1-8 channels of the EVO mixer; allowing you to send the audio to the Main mix and therefore onto the headphones
Why can't I use the auto gain as a software feature in the mixer for the evo 8 and evo 16, but can do it on the evo 4 when it's the entry level device shouldn't the top end hardware have more features available to use then the entry level?
Hello. I have connected my stereo cables from piano to evo 8. Everything works great, can record in garageband. But when I press the piano i cant hear the piano in my earphones. The sound comes out from the speakers of my piano. I need help. Im on mac m1 2020. I have connected my earphones in the front of the evo8. So i can playback what I recorded in garageband in earphones. But no sound in my earphones when I press the piano. Thank you

Hey Adam could you please ask EVO to make software for iPad/EVO4. Thank you
Thank you for your suggestion!
