    Initially I was trying to figure out why you were removing the rear seats. That’s reasonable isn’t it, because you don’t mention the project until the end. I have a 2010 Ford Escape (rusted rear quarters) and regularly vacuum under those seats, but it never occurred to me that rear shocks might rust out. Thanks I’ll have to find your other Escape videos. Best Regards

    Hello ! I've been searching for about a year I have a ford Kuga/escape with a moonroof and shield They both stopped operating after a jump start. Ford in the UK said they'd need to replace the whole screen at a massive cost but I don't believe that's true. Any help or advice would be appreciated. I have tried all the resets I can find online. Nothing worked. There are lights going to the moonroof control panel so I believe there's power. But not sure if it's a motor issue.

      This one that I was working on I believe was a 2010 so yours is going to be a little bit different but the function of and the removal of the seats is going to be darn near identical because the body structure underneath your escape is the same so the bolts will be the same or should be the same anyways hope it turns out for you

    Hiya, my son's passenger side, rear seat fold-down lever, located on the side of the seat, is not catching to allow it to fold down. I called a local repair shop and they said it could be a cable that has come off or broken. Is that something that can be easily assessed and changed, or should I bring it to the shop?

    • @sharpcarco
      @sharpcarco  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Generally if that’s the situation you can pull the plastic side down where the lever is at and you should see it either broken or unattached most seats have a cable like that but this particular seat because the bottom folds up it’s separate from the rear so the latches are located on the sides of the seat. And I think it only latches on one side but I could be mistaken I’m telling you though if you take it apart I’m sure it’s a simple system you should be able to look at it and solve the problem fairly quickly or at least know what the problem is very quickly

    does anyone know if the seats of my 2003 ford escape limited can fold, it looks like it should but im not sure how

    • @sharpcarco
      @sharpcarco  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      At the very front of the seats, where your legs and knees would contact the seats
      There are a little tabs sticking out below the butt cushion
      Pull that tab out, and then you will be allowed to raise up the front of the seat

    Not seat related but I see you love Ford Escapes. I've got Ecape issues that I'm stumped as where to go next. The car is a 2016 SE model. So this is what I have going on while stopped at a stoplight/ stop sign the car idles very rough and inches forward. I have replaced the plugs, ignition coils and just most recently the brake booster and the check valve line coming off of the booster. Really thought that the booster was going to fix it sadly it did not. At this point I'm not sure where to go next. Any thoughts on what might be causing these issues?

    • @sharpcarco
      @sharpcarco  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well it’s just a guess but it sounds like you have a intake leak of some sort so meaning that the engine is being able to suck in air.
      Have you done a leak test?
      And we’re very happy to have you here on the channel I hope you enjoy the contact it’s very hit and miss….. lol but we’re constantly trying to improve 🤔😂

    • @AT-kh9mm
      @AT-kh9mm 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sharpcarco Hey thanks for the response! I have not done a intake leak check yet. Is there a most likely culprit to look for?

    • @sharpcarco
      @sharpcarco  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      More than likely the PCV elbow is broken…
      What you do is you start up the vehicle. Open the hood take a can of brake cleaner or carb cleaner. Spray around the intake and hoses they are vacuum hoses etc. etc. and when the engine revs up you’ll have found your leak or broken hose.
      Be careful though one time I had a spark plug wire that was bad on a guys car…. Needless to say it caught on fire immediately lol ….. right in front of him I stopped spraying I did not panic and just blew it out ….. so you don’t want to spray too much or let it puddle just a little bit at a time to find the leak.
      I don’t think you’re gonna have that problem with your vehicle because it doesn’t have wires. But I feel like it’s worth mentioning… Best of luck to you let me know how it goes.
