i dont mean to be off topic but does anybody know a way to get back into an instagram account??
I was stupid forgot my login password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me
@Ty Jay Instablaster ;)
@Kenzo Ezequiel i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im trying it out now.
Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Kenzo Ezequiel it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my ass :D
Thx for the video. I just attempted changing my transmission fluid for 2011 Ford Focus 2.0 duretec petrol at 70k. I jacked up my car and supported by jack stands. Using only a 8mm Hex Allen key and extension bar to loosen fill plug and drain plug from underneath the car. For filling, I found Nulon syntac 75w-85 transmission oil in innovative squeeze pouch with a hose attached. Very easy to use. Hope this helps to anyone attempting to change their own oil as Ford obviously doesn’t want ppl to do their own and charge you a premium.
That sounds awesome. Apparently you can't buy it in the states though 🤣🤦♂️ damn.
How is your trasmisión since You use that Oil?
One thing i would like to add. If yoy fill it like this it will only take only about 1 1/2 quarts. Now this is very important because there is on the top of gear box the dct vent hole were you can add the rest of the oil. If the gearbox is not filled with all 2 quarts it will overheat and destroy the TCM. It's kinda hard to explain but it's very important to document this because i did this way and i had to change TCM after about 2-3 weeks. P.S.- you must use 75w-90 gl4 gearbox oil. Anything else won't do.
Question - is there a reason I wouldn't want to just put all the fluid in the vent hole?
@@andrewschulte7222 actually no. I put it all in the vent hole. But the rule says it that way and i don't want to give personal advice. I usually recommend for everyone to respect what the manufacturer says.
@@yotheman Nice - hey thanks for the quick reply!
Is this manual only fluid?
@grant T manual yes. But it must be original. It has some properties that keeps gearbox on proper temperature in order the tcm not to get toasted.
So i need to pop off my engine in order to add fluid, gotcha.
wela tryla tola slave youla molnee
No no no
Pop off the left tire you should change it bud add the motorcraft stuff. I just had The Ford guys do it
@@chocolatemilk2076 how much did it cost you when you took it to Ford?
@@chocolatemilk2076how much did Ford charge you?
Ending was confusing how to put the fluid in
How often should one change the gearbox oil for a ford focus automatic with toque convertor? Thanks
Every 50k km
@@Retrofilmclub thanks for the answer. is this referenced anywhere or recommended ?
@@Channel-tr1hxin the manual they recommend every 80-100k
But in my experience if you wait that long the oil is get way to dirty . Its worth to get it done sooner. Car will be appreciated.
@@Retrofilmclub thanks! much appreciate it!
Had my clutch change by Ford 3 years ago never change transmission oil now I have a slip from first to second gear only how do I know if it's the oil or the clutch
The "Fill Plug" is actually an Observation Plug. Do everything in this video to include opening the Observation plug on the side but there's also a Fill/Pressure Relief port that pulls of similar to a dipstick that you can fill until fluid starts to come out of the Observation Plug.
I know why you didn't use the red one to show us the transmission fill port lol
Yeah, cuz it's fucking impossible! 🤣🤣🤦♂️
Dumbest fuckin design ever
Hey guys thank you for this video but is there not a gearbox oil filter anywhere?
Thank you :)
Is this a dp6 DCT transmission?
The filling Port is actually on the top you have to unplug it so you have good air flow so the used oil can drain all the way. The port on the side is the level port.
Once you fill the transmission and start up the car you go through all the shifts for about 20 seconds each, so the oil can get in all the areas of the transmission.
After you do that you open the side port and let the oil train from the side until it becomes droplets that's how you know the correct amount of oil remains in a transmission
Correct me if I'm wrong. The motor should be running with that plug open to get it closer to right
Very good video
how much oil goes in the focus mk3 gearbox?
He said about 2 quarts
What size did you use to take screws out
thank you very much
Awesome! Thanks
Incredibly useful content I really appreciate y’all!! Do you know why I have this scrapping sound from transmission
Is it when you decelerate only?
Yes only when accelerating
Hi guys
I have a 2018 ford focus with 24000 km on it
The transmission fault error came up out of no where and the car now drives fine in reverse but D and S does nothing
Any help pls?
Yea mine did same thing i hav to shift like a six speed manual suxx
You need to take your car to the dealer and have them fix it it’s a warranty issue. The part is called a transmission control module(TCM) and they fixed mine for free.
Can you use dextrose 3 in the transmission oil
I see The thrasher magazine shirt that your buddy has and I was wondering if you guys skate because I've done 419 Ford focuses over the years and I skate I'm an older mechanic... In the Washington DC metro area...
I jacked the drivers side as high as my jack goes, and took the fill plug out first, was not level and lost about a half a quart, they must come overfilled from the factory, at least my 2012 focus Titanium was.
Oh i thing @yotheman was right!
Do I need to tune the car or anything? Why did the dealer want $400?
What type of gearbox oil do I need for my ford focus 2012 and how many liters of gearbox oil do I need
duel clutch motorcraft transmission fluid
Is there a fluid stick?
Thanks to ford. There isnt one. Ford said they designed it to be "maintenance free" which means. Let it last 100 or 200k and buy a new car.
Mine only took one quart , any ideas?
Yes. First you must ensure that you pour all the oil out. After that you can use the dct vent hole from the top of the gearbox to put the rest up to 2 quarts into the gearbox. Is very important to put 2 quarts.
how many liters?
Hello guys
Am from Freetown, Sierra Leone. I have a Ford Focus 2014 and it has gearbox issue. I want to purchase it. Pls help me out
My wifes ford focus drives great but when you are on highway and need to pass press gas to floor and takes awhile before it gets going? Any help?
If she needs to floor the thing to pass she doesn't need to pass. Slow the F down and wait until it is safe.
@@paulgraham6353 its not that shes speeding, when someone is driving 30 below limit and you need to pass it wouldnt get up to 100km/hour even with foot to floor lol shes not mrs Mario Andretti lol
I have the same issue with mine. Trash vehicle wish I never got it lol.
@@BaconQuesadilla lol i cant complain really but when it rains it pours, i cleaned the maf sensor and transmission fluid and filter and new plugs it runs great now but dont say anything to jinks it lo,
Bacon Quesadilla I swear I just said the same thing
Can anyone provid me with a link or tell me where I can find the new drain and filler plugs
My Ford Focus is having issues going in reverse but it drives fine anyone know how to fix this? Or is it just my transmission?
Depending on mileage I’d judt change the transmission fluid and see if it works. They are unfortunately known for having not the best transmissions but this can help for sure.
I had this happen about 2 years ago, there is a recall on the transmission you may be able to get it fixed for free.
@@sahiraramirez7653 for the recall your car has to be less than 7 years old, and have less than 100,000 miles.
Did you fix it? My car is doing the same :(
If u have the Dual clutches auto trans only need to change it at 150k based on the manual
That's for their "lifetime" interval. If you intend on driving the car beyond 150k miles, I recommend changing it at least every 60-80k miles. It's just manual gear oil. All oils break down over time and don't lubricate as well.
Can we fill oil through dct vent hole under the hood?
Yes u can, actually is very important because otherwise you cannot put the hole amount of oil and the gearbox will overheat and eventually the B actuator will break and you will have other problems.
Where is the dct hole
@@86nicolecody it's located near by actor motor A at the top, but i strongly recommend to use the proper oil refill hole at the bottom of the trany. I got toasted my release bearing because of low oil. Always make sure right amount and right grade oil. Thjs dct very sensitive otherwise quite reliable.
Wow! You have to take the engine out? I see the fluid getting drained but I didn't see how you put it in.
All I'm seeing next is the part being taken out the car. This appears to be a repair video, not a change the fluid video. Thumbs down for me on this video.
They’re showing how to add fluid using a removed because lack of space for the camera
How many liters?
yeah forgot to replace it with new like df
Okay nice
very confusing , should let it drain for a while. you could of stop recording . have no idea where to ad it.
PEOPLE REMOVE THE FILL BOLT BEFORE YOU DRAIN THE FLUID!!!!!
Can you explain where is the bolt to remove ? Thank you
And where to put the oil in ? Lol
@@epicstrengthinsanity1235 You have to funnel fresh fluid through the same bolt hole after you drain the fluid. Dumb design from Ford.
