    You are right I brought a ford galaxy 3 years ago and I had the same problems but I managed to fix myself :) I just removed the transmission and rebuilt the transmission change internally filter I used a good dual mass air sensor cleaner for the solenoids and I put back all together with some help from TH-cam and the car driver like new I even buy Fords like that now I fix them and I resell. Good profit. My knowledge was zero in transmission now I fixed more that 10 cars :) is not hard guys is just need a bit of patience and will to learn new things. You will need a minimum buget of £400 to buy the parts for clutch kit tools, oil filters etc but if you need to replace the flywheel is around a minimum buget of £600. :)
    If is first time be careful how you working put all back together how was, make photo or video before removing something, don’t rush take your time, always check online if you not sure something. To avoid another work on that transmission is not that easy to put all back together and to install. Good luck and be confident.

    Got a 2014, clutch rebuild at 90.000km. Vibration and slippery.
    Now it has 150k and it is starting to get loose in the second gear. Only in low revs.
    What I've done and it is working for me, is driving only manual Sport, and avoiding 2 gear in low engine revs (speed bumps and some slow turns in 1 gear), and turning off the traction control everytime.
    Changing gears at 2.7- 3.2 rpm is working fine for me, I'm not really concerned about Fuel, but just avoiding the parameters that the shaking is happening.
    I might be wrong, but IMO the engaging and disengaging of the clutch in DRIVE gives me the impression that it causes more wear in the system than the way I'm driving...
    Anyway, thank you for sharing your experience!

    My friends got an automatic one, but I noticed pulling away, it felt like the clutch was let out and juddering a bit, like the front wheels span a little. My friend hasn't noticed, but I think I'm used to my automatic m7 Civic is so smooth, I notice more.
    But it's put me off buying a used one.
    Shame, this or a merc A or B Class was ideal but they've all got the nightmare CVT boxes that always seem to go wrong.

    These transmissions are pure junk. Avoid like the plague. Guaranteed to fail regardless of service of the gearbox

    It's the control module that's at the root of this problem. My Focus shifts like it's a new driver learning how to drive a stick shift. lol

    My 2016 Mondeo had 163000.00 miles on it and the issue I have from around 45000 miles is that it goes into a sort of safe mode where on the dash says see owners manual , the way I get over this is to pull over as the car will not excellerate as it cannot select the next gesar - I will pull over and turn the car off and wait for 20 ish seconds and then turn it back on and it resets the computer and then I drive off until it happens agan - it may not happen again for thousands of miles or may be just 1 mile - any thoughts guys - Cheers (UK)

      I don't know what kind of transmission the Mondeo uses. But it sounds like the minor TCM problem that is cheaper to put up with. May cost several thousand to cure that.

    what type a car do you have petrol or diesel, petrol is dry and diesel are wet. petrol's powershift more problematic 6dct250 then 6dct450/451/470. need to know which name is gearbox is for

      The video is with the American 2.0 Duratec Ti-VCT. It's dry clutch and it's probably the worst gearbox in the history of Ford.

      No, Mondeo/Fusion sedans were euipped with conventional automatic transmissions.

    V40 T4 2013. 170kkm. The first symptoms what u said is bullshit because I feel a little “punch” when a gearbox is changing from 1st to 2nd gear since 40kkm. All the issue will comes out because no one didn’t change the oil. I have change it 4 times (40kkm period) and maybe that’s why I don’t have any real problems with that gearbox. It is fast as hell.

    • @CarAraC
      @CarAraC  หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is dry clutch - oil has nothing to do with the system. Just like in a manual transmission.

      I don't know what kind of transmission it has - I write for American market mostly. But if it's 6-speed Powershift (which is most likely), this is exactly the gearbox I'm telling about in this video.

      One day just started making noises. Got worse within a few days.
      It was serviced every 35k miles too.
      We are currently at 181k miles. The original box was rebuilt at 107k

    Actually you WANT to use the Sport mode if you want these transmissions to last! Take each gear to about 3500 rpm. These transmissions NEED to be driven fairly hard. If you use the S mode the shudder will not be there AND… if you have the RPM flare that he mentioned you need a new actuator for the bottom clutch fork ((B). This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

    • @CarAraC
      @CarAraC  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Powershift will fall apart no matter how you drive it. Sport mode is great for traffic jams to avoid 1st to 2nd shifting but that's it - it won't help you in any other case. The clutch will wear out faster if you drive it in S and it shifts at 3000+ RPM.
