You tend to not explain things to a manner of expected thoroughness. I can't even tell in-game if it matters or not where on the screen the cursor is when I release the mouse button. Should the reticule be on the enemy upon release or does this not matter roughly speaking? I push left mouse with reticule slightly above head of enemy. I move the mouse just a tad in the upwards direction and release the mouse with the cursor slightly more off the head than it was. I can still expect the same attack but if I brought the cursor back down after going up to be aimed at their head... does this matter?
The blade marks the hit the circle in the middle doesnt matter. it helps you to aim but its not the direct aimpoint. If you blade hit behind you someone or something than its also a hit if you dont even see you opponent.
This system feels like a wanna be Mount and blade combat system but in that game you can manipulate your swings and block directions with camera movement while blocking/ during the swing animation, that is when fighting NPCs atleast, I still have to get into PVP but I am way to interested in crafting right now, I wanna have a big spikey mace.
what is the best combat scheme in your opinion? click and drag? movement keys? maybe movement keys for attack and click and drag for defence? is this meta or just personal preference? i heard many people saying different things. on my guild everybody swears by directional keys for attack, but then I talk to some other people on reddit and they use click and drag. i am confused :)
Most people in competetive play use drag than click. Some also a combo of that with overhat strike on a key and thrusting on a key. It is atleast what i heard. But i dont know i use drag than click.
Great video. The melee combat system looks fantastic I just wish Mortal either had transfer spells like mana to stamina OR the stamina system regenerated faster/ had higher pool so you could fight aggressively/ faster for longer and have more opportunity to outplay people when out numbered. Seems like 1 v 3 would be almost impossible even if the 3 were horrible players in bad gear and you were a much more skilled player with better aim/ decisions/ reflexes just because you will run out of stamina no matter what. I hope the ranged pvp combat will be good
Actually with up to 16kg armor you won't have any stamina issues. And also shields are bad for stamina. If you fight outnumbered frequently use a medium armor and a 2h weapon.
pretty sure its going to have that. Its just that in Mortal Online I, you had to be a mage to use spells efficiently and you couldnt be effective at much else.

Wolf, help me!!! I have a real problem with blocking, if I block too quickly it glitches and doesn’t raise my weapon but the arrow on my crosshair is point in that direction. I’m a UK based player so EU, surely it can’t be desync?
left alt key and right click, or depending on your control setting looking down and right click. Or if you have alternative controls on just left alt key.
No if you have your shield euipped than you dont have one at the back. But its great if you run away and someone is gonna trying to shoot you with a bow. Than a shield on your back is worth more than a ton of gold xD
The best way I can describe safety inside towns and cities is that it is relative, there will be guards who enforce the law but it is punitive not preventative. Meaning that they can be outsmarted and outrunned by the most cunning and determined criminals.
fast forwarding the fight. I've been waiting for an MMO with fights so exciting and fast paced that you have to fast forward them and it still takes minutes to watch them.

@@LordBattleSmurf I think both are useable. Polearm uses a bit more stam but hits harder. I think at persistent I will got for spear without shield...

full loot, no safezone beside cities, but even in cities youre not really safe.

they already patched the speed its now much faster. But the hints are still all viable. Now the fights are much faster.
Is that spear made out of 2H shaft or 1H shaft?
2h shaft. You can hold a 2h spear in one hand if you combine that with a shield.

So a parry is just fast attacking right after a block?
I'm also confused about parrying.
Block within 2 seconds before they strike, once they do, you will achieve a party and are able to strike full power with a quick swing

Can you feint?
press the left ctrl key. It albelled in the setting as "walk" there you can feint. You cna also look my advanced combat tutorials.
