Surprised Africa Twin didn't show up. It's a legend in the adv world, comes with decent pricing, lots of tech and capability to travel the world. Feels like it should be there somewhere.
Decent pricing? It's over 22 grand. Adv bikes are so artificially inflated, it's crazy.
@@z9brigade Not sure which country you are talking about, but in the US Afica Twin starts from 14,5k. Adventure version starts from 17,2k. Compared to some other bikes here which brings nothing to the table and still costs this or more, Africa Twin is decently priced - handling is superb, off road capabilities are great, handling and engine are really good and tech is class-leading.

Probably because Africa Twin is more expensive than a R1250GS or a 1290 Super Adventure with less power.

I have a 1050 speed triple and it's amazing. I appreciate that it's 150bhp which isn't "class leading" but it's by far the best looking naked bike. And let's be honest, 150bhp isn't exactly slow anyway. Plus, let's not forget which bike invented the naked sportbike

How did you like the GSXS? I used to ride a CBR600RR in my 20s but haven't ridden in about 10 years. Definitely want to get a naked bike this time around and this seems like a good bike to jump back in on.
I have a 2018 Indian Scout Bobber, stage 1 kit and tune, V&H slash tips (no baffle ofc), “rear” controls (2” further back than stock) and I’m just super happy that my torquey princess made it to C tier on a sport bike guys list. Thanks, Yam.
I'm not much into HD bikes or Cruiser-type bikes but on the contrary, I absolutely love the look of the HD Sportster S! It is one of my dream bikes now.

Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy my Sportster 1200. But if my Ninja wasn’t in such bad condition the Harley wouldn’t get as much love as it does currently. And once my R7 gets delivered the HD may get shelved for the rest of this season.

Yep, I still ride full fairing sportsbike in 2023. Because I don't want to be blown away from bike at 186 mph.
I don't have issues with doing such speed since I have a sufficient highway for such speed nearby. And in my country cops don't give a shit about motorcycles, so no tickets as well.
There's also the one loaner bike you have to get from your friend as your car is dead, your other bike is dead too. You know that one bike where it takes a special ritual of wiggling the key in the ignition, also where you need to keep specific range of revs before it stalls out.
In swedish KTM stands for kanske till mål wich means maby to destination.

I know it wouldn't go in this category - but you've still never talked about the GSF600 bandit series - Yes, it's a heavier SV with 2 more cylinders. Yes, it's even older. But in the UK they're equally well loved, like the SV, for being a really good first big bike. Enough power to have fun, not so much that a fist full of throttle will kill you. They sound great too. Have a dedicated race series. Are incredibly reliable. Every motorcyclist knows the Bandit name, so why haven't you talked about it??

Wow, I'm surprised that you left the Z900 off. After doing a lot of research it was a great bike for the buck. It handles great, rides fantastic and is a very smooth bike. Just for reference my other bike is a Busa.
I love everything about my 2020 z900 except the seat, other bike is a dyna street bob and gets far more attention than the kawasaki hands down. Love having best of both worlds 🤘
I bought a 2023 Z900 about 2 months ago and absolutely love it. Really not sure how he left it off the list.
I had a z900 for a week before someone tboned me and totaled it and I got my 22 mt09. The z900 is realistically the best bang for your buck middleweight naked. I say realistically because the gen 3 mt09 is better in almost every way, but they're hard to come by, and usually ridiculously overpriced if you can find one. The BMW f900r is boring af, the Ducati monster is overpriced, the KTM 890 is well, a KTM, so reliability is questionable, and the triumph is also hard to find. Unless you can find a gen 3 mt09 for a decent price, the z900 is the best option

Having put 77k miles on my 1st gen FZ09 and a few thousand on my MT-10, I will say the 09's weight+power is better suited for the street than the 10. The 10's cruise control and more refined nature over all make it nicer to ride around on though. Cheaper to maintain and run the 09 too. I'd say it's fair to place the 09 over the 10 in the list.

Would have liked to have seen the Triumph Rocket 3 on this list & up high. Curious on the new Buell Super Cruiser coming out where it would place.
The Rocket 3 would be E tier, same reason why Ducatis are so low. It's expensive and doesn't do much. If anything it's more of a novelty than a real bike for riding.
How is the R1 better than the zx10? I'm not yelling from the void or anything. I'm just genuinely curious what set the R1 apart for you
RSV4s have been refined to the point where the motors are bulletproof, the looks are updated, and the power and handling are unparalleled for a bike under 20k. Should be S-tier

Talk about goldwing like it's not fast. Goldwings got serious power and 0-60 numbers Yam. Also kills corners like a big sport bike.
Interesting to see an "Intermediate bikes" list. Because jumping from an MT07, Dualsport or KTM RC390 directly to an Busa,R1 or Fireblade seems like a large jump.
What about the whole 650-800cc class (KTM 790/ 890, RS660, CB650R, XSR900)?
Yeah I jumped from the ninja 500 to the super duke 1290r, quite the jump but was able to grow into it quickly

Hi yammie I watched your video on the Yamaha R7. Do you think it still has plenty of power for a 260lb man daily commuter @75 hp or do you recommend around 100hp bike?
I weigh the same and a crf250l with 24hp can still rip with me on it, so 75hp wouldn't be bad for city commutes or short freeway/interstate commutes.
But for long commutes you might want a little extra like 100hp so your not revved out doing 75mph

Lots of praise for Gixxxer Bruh showing up for track day. Two things to tell him: 1) got to keep the rev above 10,000 rpm meaning he has to downshift more often I also noticed his upper body (and ass) is stationary he has to move that on cornering more often. Good job though overall

I feel like you're not giving the cruisers/baggers a fair shake. Aside from the CVOs they arent crazy expensive, most can be ridden year round, and you can stay on the saddle for 12 hours at a time
