- We asked real motorcycle mechanics to break down some of the worst motorcycle fails we could find on the internet.
Huge thanks to our experts!

I like Zach, he's really animated and passionate about motorcycles. :)
Same, first time seeing him in anything and what a great guest! That was lovely to watch
Revzilla is a awesome channel when Zach and or Ari are on it ^^
I am baffled that someone doesn't know who Zach Courts is, but I guess it isn't impossible. You need to look at more of his stuff. He's on Revzilla now, but used to be on Motortrend. He and his buddy, Ari Henning are the foremost motorcycle content creators. They've done tons of stuff and worth watching.@@reffyweffy
That, and, is great at breaking things down in a way that common people can understand. You don't need a science degree or experience with motorcycles.
Yeah and Zack was too!
... I like how the mother was telling her son to be careful and "look out for idiots" immediately before hitting her son's stopped vehicle from behind.
Funniest clip in the video 😂 she will here it for a long time 😂
Hear**
The worst thing you can say is be careful. It's like the kiss of death!
just teaching properly, look for them everywhere, even the most unlikely sources can turn into idiots.
I dare bet a $1 that she blamed him for stopping when there was no traffic coming 😂
Speaking of loud pipes, my city a few years ago had an issue with loud bikes and vehicles, so they put up these decibel meters to show if you were too loud, similar to those radar speed signs. Rather than deterring anyone, people would just pull up to the signs and rev the heck out of their engines to try and get the highest decibel count. The council took them down within a week.
Because people are easily amused.
They would have worked if they actually fined those assholes
@@lawnmowerdudecome on you wouldn't wanna see how loud you vehicle is? Even if it was stock I would try that.
This is what happens when lawmakers are out of touch.
That should have led to the same reaction as the loudest result from that test or even a step beyond that just to deter that kind of behaviour.
How was Jeremiah not in this? He's Donuts bike guy!
Maybe he wrote or produced this episode
He got diarrhea again.
They're both Zacks.
I know,Riiite
got diarrhea
My face lit up seeing Zack Courts again. I was a little bummed to see him leave Motorcyclist Magazine, but pretty elated to see him join RevZilla and continue to do basically the same content. He's a very talented rider and very entertaining.
The entire Revzilla team put out some good content. I love his Daily Ride videos.
Zach Courts is the man. Daily Rider and CTXP are some of the best moto content on TH-cam.
That might have been the most wholesome set of responses I've seen in a reaction video, Zach showing a great deal of empathy for the people in the clips as well as great commentary as he does it.
For the clip with the bike drifting behind the Honda van, let's give some props to the truck driver too. Dude has a trailer on and still got on the brakes enough not to roll over him
The truck driver probably used some... colorful language in the process, too. That Honda was definitely changing lanes way too close to the truck's front end. Biker and minivan both were being tools.
That Honda had a NV plate and that looked like Reno Nevada. Lane splitting like that used to be illegal (not sure if it still is) in NV but not in CA, so guys would come over and get stuffed all the time doing that.
There are some California plates in that @@calebfurlong
I came here to say this... I see my work has already been done
If the biker had used both brakes he would not have needed to skid out of the way.
One of the absolute goats of motorcycle reviews. If you guys arent familiar Zach is basically unanimously liked by all moto heads. So cool to see him in this setting. Cheers to everyone 🍻
Not just another Zach, but an awesome Zach! We NEED more donut/revzilla mashups, and get Jeremiah in on the action too!
I wish
We need more motorcycle content! You can't forget about your two wheeled friends!
I remember when the clip at 4:45 was posted to reddit, he got absolutely ROASTED for blaming the car
As he should, he was literally behind the van, not even splitting lane and they both moved to switch lane at same time but he was going faster, was not the van's fault.
Zach and Revzilla make some amazing moto content. Shoutout to Ares!
Yes! Ari Henning and Zack Courts are the Nolan and James Pumphrey of the motorcycling world!
To add a point to the "loud pipes save lives", in the emergency response world there is a phase called sirencide. At 60mph the forward projection of sound is overcome by the speed of the vehicle. That is with a speaker designed to face forward.
Now, the exhaust of a bike exits behind the bike at any speed. Even from a basic view the sound is facing the wrong way and the noise isn't going to save anyone.
to be fair when that dude got hit by his mom she was behind him.
@@manoloorz Very true, but that's just bad luck.
The speed of sound in air is about 1200km/h. The exhaust from a few moments ago is gonna bounce off the environment and reach you before the bike, even if it faces you. Unless your Grom is reeeeeeally modded, or you're riding an f35 on wheels? It will be more high pitched, because of the Doppler effect. But you'll hear it.
Honestly though, loud pipes won't save you from drivers being completely oblivious to all sound and sight, or outright spiteful towards motorcycles and bicycles.
They don't do much to save you from other vehicles, but they absolutely save pedestrians. The only time I've ever had someone step out in front of my bike without looking was when I had the Db killer in the exhaust. So the phrase is accurate but not in the way most people think.
Noise isolating cabin go ______
Who else saw the thumbnail and thought it was Linus Tech Tips?
Me😂
Yes.
Fr
anyone else think.. "wait how'd they get Linus from LTT"😂😂😂😂😂
And the other guy has the GamersNexus "Steve hair."
It was immediately obvious that it wasn't Linus when he (1) clearly knew what he was talking about, and (2) wasn't a gigantic douchebag.
The mom hitting the kid on the bike is so damn ironic! She literally said “watch out for idiots” n she ended up being the idiot lmfao
This has quickly become of my favourite channels on TH-cam, such great content and informative.
This new and improved Zack is hilarious!! Hope he comes back in future videos
As far as motorcycle airbags go, I've seen (in the past) connection-based deployment where you connect a string to the bike so if you're ejected it pulls off and deploys. I wonder if that's what happened to that last guy.
That’s what I was thinking too
From what i remember it takes a 60 pound force to deploy those airbags. I don't think him falling like that was 60 pounds of force
Fuck yea!!!! More of Zack (Courts) & even Ari on this channel, please!! Surely there’s no shortage of motorcycle clips to talk about
Yay more bike stuff from Donut! And with a fantastic guest as well, I love RevZilla. You should ask Zach if he would be down to do some bike stuff with Jerry :)
I read something awhile back, and I think it's accurate. When you're driving a car, your brain gets stuck looking for other cars and larger vehicles. You really have to train yourself to watch for bikes, motorcycles, etc. It's work you have to do as a responsible driver, and it's worth the trouble.
Very much true and a large participating reason as to why people hit bikers.
Same reason people hit pedestrians or miss red lights at a crossing. Because the driver is watching the car in front of them.
I'm always on the lookout for bikes particularly when in traffic, it has to be said though that some just don't do themselves any favours
@lostalone9320 I try to have an eye out when I'm a passenger for that kind of thing. It's rarely a thing but, but just calling out pedestrian on the right as you're approaching the turn helps just in case. I've also been on the pedestrian side, where I was at a red light, and began to cross when the light changed and walk signal came on, the car almost hit me turning right across the crossing.
We teach this exact thing in the MSF course. It's called inattentional blindness. Not seeing what's plainly visible. Our brains get trained without us even knowing the second we start driving.
Best guest yet! Very knowledgeable, very insightful, and best of all; REAL PASSION.
LETS SEE MORE OF THIS GUY!
The clip at 2:30 is probably from a HD Dyna which is notorious for a Death Wobble. Can be caused by a number of factors, including old rear suspension, and rubber engine mounts amongst onther things.
That was my immediate thought as well. It’s weird he didn’t mention it.
That Jeep had a soft top too! :O Could've ended so much worse for everyone.
the crossover we all needed 🏍️🍩
Zack was awesome here, hope you have him back soon! The content Zack and Ari produce on Revzilla is absolutely fantastic. They made me want to buy a Ninja 400 so bad. lol
Sometimes I like my own comment just to get the ball rolling.
Edit:Worked like a charm.
I nominate this dude for president ^^
It works
Orginal
I'm here for whatever all this is
No you.
The Harley wobble in the beginning is actually a result of the rubber mounts in the drivetrain and the fact that the swing arm pivot on dyna models (and also FXR & Touring to a lesser extent) is mounted in rubber causes this behavior at higher speeds and through spirited cornering.
This guy knows
Yup! Well said.....Dyna death wobble.
The BEST part about the mom rear ending her son, was before it happened she said "Watch out for idiots"
I love Zack! His adventures on Revzilla are so fun to watch. Glad he is getting more attention.
The biggest most life saving thing about airbag vest is that if your wearing a helmet it stiffens the neck area so helmet locks in place so the neck is less likely to break.
What! Zach courts on Real Mechanic Stuff. It's Christmas boys.
I have been watching both these channels for years, im so glad they collabed, and I hope yall do it again soon!
I've been watching revzilla and on two wheels all day and now this!! What a treat two of my favorite shows! Great team up
These guy both have big "Zach" energy
Zack is a legend. Say hi to Ari, man!
seeing zach on this series is so awesome! i didn't know i needed a revzilla crossover in my life
This guy is really fun to watch. More of him, please.
LETS GOOO THIS THE COLLAB IVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!!
need more bikes content 🤘
Loud pipes may not save lives (though pedestrians certainly hear you coming), but a loud horn defiantly will. It's the first upgrade I make every time, and I owe one my life.
i prefer to hear than be heard.. it's not like some dude in a thai truck is going to hear you no matter how loud you are.
This was a great episode. This dude is super likable and Zach is the man! 🤘🔥
Double Zach attack!!!
Zack is a legend if you like motorcycle content Zack and Ari make some of the best videos on YT
Thank you! I've been wanting a motorcycle episode! And revzilla is an awesome channel to pair up with
someone once told me on a Motorway/Highway after you indicate always count to a minimum of five or ten in your head before pulling in to the next lane, if your turn signal is audible on any dash cam footage and you waited a good few seconds to pull out rather than right away and some one hits you it's more in your favour then when you have to make an insurance claim. always give other drivers and riders time to see that signal not worth chancing it and getting in a crash because someone wasnt paying attention for a split second.
This is ex"Zack"tly What I needed today
I disagree with his take on the jumping bike and the Jeep. Theres a common belief of look before you leap, and if you cant you dont leap... or get a spotter to varify the leap is clear! There obviously wasnt any precautions made for safety, and i didnt see, but a couple spots where bikes have landed in that area! Stupid is as stupid does. Ignorance of a clear landing zone is a death sentence!
As someone who has broken bones due to a bad spotter (not motorcycle though, different sport) ... this. There are motorcycles on the ridge on the video.
If jeeps needed to pass there (who knows where that was filmed, maybe it was the proper path ), someone should've spotted and tell to wait until it was a safe jump.
@jjcc8379 if you look at where the motorcycle landed, there were only 2 spots where a bike had landed prior to this filming. That is NOT a regular jump where the Jeep was in the wrong place. Jeeps are just as allowed to use the area as bikes, so there 1, should have been a spotter, and 2) someone should have looked before he leaped!
Keep learning English, kiddo.
@@GrainGrown my message was clear! Yours, not so much. "*too" is not a sentence!
@@jdshaw2751 lmao...
You're such a yankee.
My two favorite Zach’s on TH-cam joining forces?! Hell yeah!
The Revzilla guys have made some of the best road trip videos on TH-cam. They did the Dumb and Dumber mini bike trip.. hilarious. All of them are epic.
Riding a motorcycle isn't hard, it's like a bicycle you don't have to peddle. Riding a motorcycle well? Or quickly? Well that's a whole different story.
I'm a huge fan of Zach and the Revzilla team they produce great honest motorcycle content. Great video guys I love Donut as well but am a lifetime older biker 1st cars a very close second.
I need more double-Zack in my life! Great video!
Zach sounds like a great guy. This was fun. You guys are really good at picking hosts.
Cheers.
That was so much fun! When you watch Zach Courts riffing with someone, it's always as if the other person is his best friend. The two Zachs had the same thing going on, great fun to watch. You should do more of this double Zach colabs.
Awesome collab. I love Revzilla and Donut!!!
Been watching/reading revzilla about as long as donut, so glad to see the crossover episode
Two of my favorite TH-cam channels getting together. Awesome!
I’ve done the same thing in the clip at 5:30 twice now thanks to city trafffic. The rear brake locks up super easy when you’re heavy on the front. It all happens so fast unless you practice the move it’s often the kind of thing that shows who has the natural riding talent
I LOVE ZACK MAN! I'm so glad he is on the show. Please do more.
My first experience on a motorcycle was on a 70's Chaparral trail bike. We thought we'd fixed the throttle real good. We were 17, we were skateboarders, we used a soldering iron/solder. Something failed, the throttle stuck open, and I tried my best to salvage it. The ghost riding bike dragged me straight to the closest barbed wire fence and tried giving me the shake. I finally let go, as I watched it launch outta the ditch. I stuck to skateboarding, and 30 yrs later, I'm still not into motorized stuff. I ride roadbikes, own a canoe, drive a Ford escape. But I love Donut, and love cars. Thanks guys.
Big fan of real mechanic stuff. Stuff like this is super fun. Zach C. is rad.
Feels like we haven’t gotten a Zach Jobe video in a hot minute so this on thanksgiving was really appreciated
Zach knows his stuff when it comes to motorcycles…. More please!!!
I don’t need to hide behind “loud pipes save lives”. I like my loud pipes. I like the way it sounds, and when I twist the go stick, it makes me smile.
Fun video. Seeing both Zach and Zack together is great.
y'all need to get this guy back for more, he's hilarious
THIS is the collab I've been waiting for!
The mom situation happened to me but with my driving instructor, we were approaching an intersection and i had the priority but a van was coming from my left without showing any signs of slowing down so i stopped, my driving instructor was behind me on the car and stopped too, but with me on his hood. Everyone was ok tho, just low damage on the bike and car and he paid lunch after
oh hell yeah, zack!!! dude is a beast
damn dudes, gotta do more of this!!!
Zach is hilarious love all their Revzilla stuff
that moment when my two favorite motorshows and hosts are in the same video. Best day ever!!!!
Never heard of this guy but man he seems amazing. Belly laughed several times during this episode
Zach is awesome! His Daily Rider reviews are the best
Courts and Henning are the best MC duo of all time. I'd watch them take a ride around the block and be thoroughly entertained!
5:55
Some legit heads up riding! Very impressive that he didn’t dump it. Golf clap 👏
U should get this guy to breakdown some supercross and motocross fails 😂
Zach's awesome! Do more with him please
Love the revzilla boys. This channel and your other need more motorcycle content
Zach Courts for the winnnn. Been following him for a few years before YOU guys (Donut) and that's saying a lot!
I am over the moon that you got Zach for this video. I just with you also had Ari, and Jeremiah to also do reactions.
I’m watching a “donut” video and then I get an ad for Valvoline, which is voiced by Jeremiah. Twice now! This is great.
Thumbnail had me asking why Linus was reviewing motorcycle clips
Me too 😂
The other Zack, “there can be only one!” 😂
We need more content like this!!!🤩🤩🤩
Thanks! Having done more than my fair share of dumb stuff on various motorcycles (when I was a lot younger), I really enjoyed this video!
Possibly the best unintended stunt I ever saw happened when I let a friend try riding my Husqvarna motocross bike. He was a tall, skinny guy and not a very experienced rider. He revved the motor and popped the clutch, probably expecting some wheel spin in the dirt... which didn't happen. Hanging on for dear life with the throttle wide open he ended up in sort of a "flying Superman" pose with his legs straight out, flapping in the breeze behind the bike. Somehow he and the bike stayed upright and in motion that way for what seemed an eternity, but was probably only 30 or 40 seconds, bouncing off some berms, over some small jumps and through some dips, changing direction several times. He finally rolled off the throttle and tipped over, without any harm to himself or the bike. I think several of us watching got hernias from laughing so hard. Unfortunately, that was in the days long before Go Pros or iPhones with video capabilities. So there's no visual record!
Another friend put all his limited money into his Bultaco and didn't have money for a proper set of leathers. He raced in jeans and a t-shirt. One race he split out the crotch of his jeans and gave a whole new meaning to "tank slapper"!😯
They didn't have air bag vests in those days. I really could have used one. Aside from some bumps and scrapes, the only serious injury I ever got was a broken scapula when my bikes brakes faded, I missed a turn, drove straight into a wall, bent the bikes forks and went over the handlebars, landing helmet first. I didn't know I'd broken something... limped the bike back, loaded it in my van, went home and laid down. The pain hit when I woke up! I drove to the emergency room, where they ignored the piece of rope suspending my right arm and handed me a long forn to fill out! After an x-ray they told me I'd already set the bone myself (probably when I picked the bike up or was loading it) and gave me a sling for my arm. A fortunate thing was that in those days there was something called "soap on a rope", which neatly doubled as a temporary sling while taking a shower.
Hell yah! We love the Revzilla hosts. Way to bump up the motorcycle content!
Zach is the man! Such a humble dude and a great example of how to be a good person. Definitely tied for the top position for moto content period. Sorry Zach but F9 has been putting out bangers too.
Niiiiice finally some motorcycle stuff in here, loved it!
This is the collab I didn't know I needed 😂
Yessssss I've been asking for this!!
I love Zack with Revzilla! More bike stuff featuring Zack and maybe, possibly Ari?
Best guest host ever. I try to watch all his video and he seem like an actual nice guy
Zach, that was an excellent James impression with the "next clip" line.😅
Should do a “Mechanics React to pre-TH-cam Car Videos”.
Examples: The Legendary Buick LeSabre jump, the Geo stuck in snow getting its rear fascia ripped off, the dude ghost riding his lifted Silverado into a light pole, the hot rod breaking the straps on the dyno, etc. I have a bunch still on my hard drive.
Top Quality stuff! Twice the Zach for all your Zaching needs
Any video with Mr. Courts is gold. Fuck yeah brother.
6:00 for the record, that move only works leaning right. He stood on that brake. If he had attempted this to the left, he’s flying into that van.
Not really true brother. I can lock the back wheel pretty easy on my Daytona with the strength of my toes/ankle alone. The GP guys are using a thumb brake. "Standing" on the brakes disappeared with modern brakes, it's not a Mack truck with a full load haha
@@andrewshipp2739 the pressure isn’t the point, there isn’t a foot brake on a production bike on your left side. So he’d be standing on a peg instead of a brake.
@@bnnyclips I know what you're saying is that you can't do both, stand on the inside peg and brake, I'm saying you can.
