That’s what I figured and why I bought the solenoid while I was at the store. I figured it wasn’t that expensive and I didn’t want to go back to the store again! I kept the old one and put in on a shelf on the garage- just in case.
I have several mowers and one is a Deere that won’t start. Hmmmmm I think I’ll follow your troubleshooting and see if I have the same success. Thanks for the video 😃
See if there's a bolt missing on the engine somewhere. The second ground might've gone there. Also, make sure the parking brake is set before getting off the seat, that'll typically allow it to stay running as long as the cutting blades are disengaged.
very informative video. Lots of repair videos on your channel, Are you up for a collaboration? Hipa supplies parts for small engines and maybe we would work together to help more people in the community.
Thank you for reaching out. I really don't do a lot of small engine repair videos. I appreciate the offer but I think I would be a waste of your time. Should I start doing more I will definitely reach out. Thanks again!
reminds me of certain '72 Lemans I once knew
71 .... LeMans Sport! with the endura option! At least that ran. That was another confusing issue.
Most of the time, the " clicking sound" is a bad starter solenoid, great video and trouble shooting

It's just a matter of one thing at a time - slow and easy. Often it's something simple. ... like a loose ground!
Yay! Success!

Thanks! I'll try that with the parking brake!
If you engage the parking brake, you can get off the seat.
Yes! I discovered the locking tab a couple of months ago and have been using it now.
