You mentioned that you and Paul once ran a derby in Morris, New York. In the early 1960's my girl friend's brother-in-law, his brother and I used to race every Sunday afternoon on that track. It was a half mile dirt at that time. We took turns driving and a couple of very successful seasons. What a blast. I was 19 and 20 years old then, now I'm 80. Wish I could still do it.
I remember clear as day about 10 years ago at the eagle mountain derby, when all the other trucks were unable to go into the last round a concrete barrier was put in the middle of the arena. You went top speed, jumped, and flipped your truck. What an amazing memory I have kept with me through the years.

The "nugget" that Jeffe was disparaging is called a "picker". It's big enough to be picked up with your thumb and forefinger. I have found a few "pickers" in my relatively few days as a prospector in Arizona. Most are worth around $50 or up to $75. Even though they are small, they are still fun to find and worth the effort.
Matt as I am listening to your demolition derby history involving your kids n the whole family, it looks to me your family is looking forward to this event. I can't wait!

Born and raised in Otsego County. When you said Morris, NY I almost choked on my coffee. I grew up going to the Otsego County fair in Morris, NY and watching the derby every Summer. One of my 4H "Mothers" was the first woman to win that Derby back in the mid 80's. You really brought back some memories with that reference. Oh the memories! My late husband drove demolition derby cars in the county fairs and derby nights all summer into fall for years. The 3 oldest kids drove too. He had muscular dystrophy but it didn’t stop him. He gave us a few pretty scary moments mainly due to his disability causing mobility issues in getting in & especially out of the cars. But he sure did love it. This brought back a ton of memories.

I like Haiwaiin shirt Matt the best. Always happy to see him out of uniform though, any break is well deserved! Goodluck with the derby, yall got this 💪🏼
Mat, I'm with you guys! Something my friend Mark T. said, " Success in America requires two things, ignorance and confidence". Damn brother, you're killin' it ! 😁😉
Matt, you are the Elon Musk of the derby world. Design it, build it, test it and destroy it. All the while gaining valuable information. 😊I’m looking forward to the derby day!!
Oh my gosh, that picture of you and your family at the demolition is great. Everyone looks so different. Except Jaime she looks exactly the same (and still has inappropriate footwear.) Awesome video as always. Thank you 😊 Oh, and Lizzie, was that a Shrek quote?
Oh no!! That jump with the jersey barrier was scary to watch because I knew immediately that it was gonna flip! Anytime you jump a vehicle, the launch ramp HAS TO be longer than your vehicles wheelbase, or else the front and rear sort of jump separately, like you did. Usually double wheelbase or close to it is what you want. But at least one vehicle long. Be careful out there crazy man! Lol. The pictures of Matt without the beard threw me for a big loop, I was like, "who tf is that guy with Jamie??! Haha took me a minute and had to pause it and look! 😂 I freaking LOVE all your videos and everything you guys do from fab, to recoveries, vehicle repairs an maintenance, and demo derbies!? I'd absolutely LOVE to spend a week (or my life honestly) working with you and your crew Matt! Dream career for me. Much love Matt and family

I've watched your derbies and I've rooted for you and I didn't know who you actually were that is awesome I love it I went through and watched I couldn't tell you how many Derby videos on TH-cam this makes you even more awesome to me
OMG!!!! @2:32 So that's what Matt looked (looks) like without a beard. I think we deserve a video of Matt growing up pictures (prom, etc., the whole works, history-wise). I'd love to see what his businesses looked like at the outset. Please, Matt, please, pretty please.😁
Can we take a poll on Matt shaving for a recreate of this family photo after this derby?
@@xxnoobiexx Go fer it, Matt!
It is a treat to watch you guys work on these builds!! good luck in the Derby
I like Haiwaiin shirt Matt the best. Always happy to see him out of uniform though, any break is well deserved!
Goodluck with the derby, yall got this 💪🏼
Maybe the best video you guys have ever made. Everyone's personality came to the front. The editing and coverage was great.
Mat, I'm with you guys! Something my friend Mark T. said, " Success in America requires two things, ignorance and confidence". Damn brother, you're killin' it ! 😁😉
You and your team is so amazing to watch 🙌🤩
Under $1000 in the Desert, $5000 or more anywhere from the midwest to the east coast.
Matt, you are the Elon Musk of the derby world. Design it, build it, test it and destroy it. All the while gaining valuable information. 😊I’m looking forward to the derby day!!
crocs are like cordless tools, you hesitate but in a day, it becomes a bond for like.
2:34 Matt without his beard is a completely different man
Good MORRning everyone!
Holy cow Jamie has not aged a day!
I freaking LOVE all your videos and everything you guys do from fab, to recoveries, vehicle repairs an maintenance, and demo derbies!? Living my absolute dream. I can do all of that minus the off road recoveries (so far, eventually I'll build one).
I'd absolutely LOVE to spend a week (or my life honestly) working with you and your crew Matt! Dream career for me.
Much love Matt and family
It is awesome to see y'all go back to your roots and show everyone thr genius it fabricobling.
You guys are awesome! Matt is acting like he’s about 25 again! 😂
Gooooood MORRning everybody and thumbs UP to Matt and Crew! 👍 👊👊👀
I laughed so hard at the more floor space! I relate to that so much, having owned a machine shop and having employees excited about new equipment, and my mixed emotions as a boss. Just perfect 😂
I saw Colin's cast on his bad leg when he was a young boy. God bless that boy and the whole family.
Thank you Lizzy for still being in some videos even though you are doing so much great things. You are inspiring many
Great video!!! Welcome back Lizzy!! Ed, it's really great to see you again! Hope your neck is all healed up on the 7th so you can take that neck brace off. I'm sure you are more than ready to get it off. Matt, that is going to be one awesome beast on the derby track!! Hope there's going to be a ton of videos of that derby 'cause I'm going to be watching them all!!!
It still hurts to see you destroy the wagon.
Destroying an old cutlas wagon is doing a favor to all the other “classic” cars.
That poor cutlass!!
I know who Jake is! I was a volunteer at the Wrecker Games and I met him as he was unloading the conex with MORR gear off of a Winder Towing rollback over at the vendor area. 😀
He HAS been on the Winder Towing side of the business for a while but seeing him on a couple of the latest videos here makes me think he's now at least partially switched to the MORR team? He's good people, glad to see him here too!
Cool to see Jake from Winder joining in. Seems like his personality will work great for MORR content.
So that’s what Matt looks like without a beard. Thought we wouldn’t notice. 😂
