    I don't even go to Marvel movies now, most are lackluster to bad. I dread to see what they are going to do with Fantastic Four.

    James Gunn, after all the hype, is actually quite popular. Everyone knows Marvel is number 1, but I expect DC to gain some ground after Gunn's time with DC Films. There will probably be more hits than misses.

    Correct me if I'm wrong Swag, but wasn't "Iron Land" from the Young Avengers also a kang variant? That would make young Avengers 1 an even bigger key moving forward. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

    I thought it was stupid boring and the acting was crap and didn’t need to be made. But everyone else loves it so at least that’s good news for the market. But I grew up in the 70s dumpster diving for comics. And everyone hated everything avengers so we always left those cover less books in the trash.

    loved the movie, people are waaaay too critical. it was great action, way better thann say the last Batman movie. kang was great. Very limited woke exposure, all kinds of crazy stuff to look at, monster sci fi battles dont listen to the critics

  • @keytothegate68

    I watched Kang 4.5 with Stan Lee signature, auction and predicted it will sell for just over 1500 which it did. Smart buyer willing to pay 100 bucks over the pool of other bidders not willing to go over 1500 got it for just over 1600. It was a good deal. I don't like Kang and I don't like the cover on that book and never did. That is why I didn't bid. I just don't like that book. I never bought comics to make me money. I follow the trends but I only buy what I like and I'm willing to pass on potential money makers if I dislike the art ,the story,the character etc..There must be other buyers like me who simply pass on a good deal because they don't like the book. That surely factors in the sales.

  • @2112bart
    @2112bart ปีที่แล้ว

    Watched it last night, was okay. Kang is the best part, most interesting. Can definitely see the Avengers level threat. You have to watch it and just ignore the fact that everyone besides Scott lang is a super genius e.g Cassie creating the quantum satellite and Janet just knowing how to use Kangs tech. (Remember the chair didn’t work until they refuelled the core, so she couldn’t have been shown how to use it.) The MCU unfortunately is still suffering from the infinity war hangover and they haven’t found the solo movie magic yet. I’m sure things will get epic again. At this point though Fantastic Four, silver surfer, Xmen can’t come quick enough need some big Names to get excited about. Can see why they threw a billion dollars at Tom Holland to lead it for the time being.

    Honestly, the movie did not meet my expectations. I wanted more of Kang the Conqueror. I agree with you that Thanos was the Ultimate villain. Hopefully, Marvel does not mess up in the future when they show Galactus and Annihulus. Now those are some bad ass villains. I always enjoy your content.
    Take care my friend.

    Amazed that Antman 3 was able to tie a movie like the Eternals with a 47% Rotten Tomatoes score, extremely impressive and an excellent omen for Phase 5. I would be a bit more concerned that Avengers 8 CGC 9.0 has dropped by $10k when Kang is still slated to appear in many upcoming films. The sheer number of people trying to sell that book currently tells us all we need to know for the future. MODOK looked like he was edited by a 12 year old foreign exchange student...

  • @Saboten_Ken

    I thought the Ant Man movie (should be retitled Ant Family) was entertaining and great for the big screen. I’d give it a solid B grade. On a positive Modok was absolutely hilarious and I liked the Ant family characters camaraderie ! Kang was kind of boring and 1 dimensional!

    My son and I both loved the movie, thought it was a lot of fun. Jonathan Majors performance was great. When the second post credit scene started and the audience saw who was in it, there was an audible gasp. I know when an audience enjoys a movie, I could tell people were disappointed with Thor Love and Thunder, but I definitely sensed people enjoyed Ant Man. There was a lot of buzz after the film. All just my opinion. The Avenger Kang book is now on my list, but it will have to be a lower grade. 🙂

    High grade avengers 8 is a bust it seems. I remember when I got mine last year and a 9.0 was close to that 8k-10k range now a 9.2 is barely hitting 4k and a 9.0 went for 3.3k last month. the lower grades will do well since you can pick it up for cheap but the high grades arent doing well. I sold my 8.5 last year in december for like 4k lol

  • @steveoh9285
    @steveoh9285 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Please, NO movie reviews.
    I get the appeal of Avengers 8, but frankly there was too much hype surrounding the Kang character overall (with dealers asking exorbitant prices for his collateral appearances). It’s not good for the hobby when these bubble prices burst and speculators/collectors feel burnt.

  • @rocketfighter8

    A lot of people now consciously or subconsciously unfairly compare MCU movies to Thanos and Avengers Infinity War and Endgame which starred multiple top tier superheroes and took more than a decade of films to develop. If you're one of these people be prepared to be continuously disappointed.

    I will forgive people if they are experiencing a little FOMO on Kang books. Jonathan Majors performance was fantastic and when his arc is done down the line we will look back and see how versatile he is as an actor and how many different variations he played, all unique

    I always enjoy your vids but here's a novel idea actually review the FOMO books art/story rather than the movies because everyone is doing that. Kang is one Marvel's worst looking villains. He dresses like a clown. This makes him not very cool.

    I Feel like we have to stop referring to all books trending up as "fomo buys". At least looking at these silverage books they are not going for an astronomical amount, whether you liked the movie or not most people agree kang was the best part. Could just be general interest in the character or short term investment, which is usually when books trend up.

    • @docparnes
      @docparnes ปีที่แล้ว +6

      This was the least woke movie Disney has made in 3-4 years. Sure a little women power and mild activism/environmentalism, but it had all heterosexual relationships. Plus, it was basically a hodgepodge of classic action movies. It was weak on plot but strong on characters. Nothing was crazy heavy handed. No anti American message. Most people like it but dont love it. Critics hate it because theres no diversity. I’d take this over black widow or inhumans any day.

    • @mattjvictory
      @mattjvictory ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @docparnes because it didn't have a gay relationship in the movie it was the "least woke" movie? Yeah, no. Thankfully, it didn't have a forced "2 mommy" or "2 daddy" mention, but dear God, can't the leading man be leading man is his own movie? No, it's disney, of course not.
