I just watched your video on unboxing your childhood comics after receiving them back from CGC. It’s so cool to see you have a Hulk 340 in 9.8 after seeing your 9.4 on that video.
Really impressed with the quality of your unboxing videos, man. It's not rocket science or anything, but so many comic book TH-camrs fumble their way through unboxings. I appreciate that you hide the grade, have your notes on what you thought you would get ready to go, your reaction, and just doing that whole thing for maximum effect. Top notch!
Thanks, David! I appreciate the kind words.. but I do need to make better notes about the work on did on the book.. going from memory isn't as easy as it used to be. Getting old!
That's very cool of you man. Those are some amazing giveaways that anyone would love to have in their collection. I always look forward to seeing your videos.
This dude has a true passion not only for comic books but for his viewers. Hitting that subscriber goal isn't going to be a problem. Liked-------> Subscribed-------> Commented------>
This video popped onto my timeline and tbh, I just clicked for the 252. But now, feel have come across a treasure trove 😍 Keep em coming and well-deserved
Those Spiderman covers are honestly some of the best! I can't believe you're giving them away in a competition, supporting the community - love it! Keep up the awesome work!
By the way, love the Contant. I’ve been watching since you had 90 subscribers. I always pay attention to the work that you put in to each book. And you have improved my collecting of comic books 😉
I inherited a large collection of comics from my father which has bounced around in family attics and storage units for years since his death in 1998. Your videos have been really interesting in getting started with restoring and protecting that collection the best way I can for the future. Thank you so much!
I very much enjoy your videos. I started restoring comics myself after paying a ridiculous amount to press a few books by CCS. The rewards and enjoyment of cleaning and pressing are one of my favorite hobbies. Its great to see like minded people even if you do like Marvel.
LOL I like DC, Epic, and all the others too.. never met a book I didn't like. I just didn;t know better as a kid, so collected Marvel.. it's a vicious virus I have lol Thanks BTW :)
I appreciate the vote of confidence! I doubt I'd ever do that, unless it was to only work on really valuable books as a speciality. I can't see myself doing dozens of books a day, it might ruin the hobby for me.
I do enjoy all the aspects of the videos. The cleaning and pressing tutorials intrigue me, I don't think I have the patience to do it myself! Keep up the good work and I look forward to your future videos.
I saw many times yours Conan 241 on your wall and I didn’t know it is a Todd McFarlane cover. When cgc announced the McFarland signing, I decided to try to buy a nice copy. Long story short, I ended with a Todd McFarlane signature Conan 241 9.8. I was very happy about it . 🎉 thank you for making me discover those not so popular books.
What an amazing giveaway, Jim. It’s awesome how much you’re trying to give back to the community. This is a guy who simply loves the hobby. Keep it coming!
Love this channel - Im a huge comic nerd and got into cleaning and pressing a few years ago: the grading and cleaning side of the hobby has weirdly become my new obsession. Keep up the great work.
Web Of Spider-Man 32 is one of the best covers of all time. I’m actually working on a wall of black Spidey (including ASM 300 & 317). Have both 1st apps, SW 8, Web Spidey 1, & Peter Parker 101. Last one missing is literally that one 😂 was actually looking for one in eBay when I saw the giveaway announced. Funny coincidence 😅
I just got into collecting comics a few months ago but you've already become one of my favorite youtube channels. You present such helpful information for people new to the hobby and you've almost singlehandedly convinced me to buy a press and start pressing some of my comics! The giveaways are awesome, thank you for your generosity! I was already subscribed to the channel, now I'm subscribed to your newsletter, I can't wait to see what else is in store!
I'm kinda stoked on the higher mid grade comics because you don't have to feel bad about reading them!I'm a careful reader but I can't worry about fingerprints or discoloration caused by holding the book because WTF that's what they're there for. I'd rather buy a book that already has a little of that because then I don't have to feel bad. The 9.8s are great for display though. Anyway this information is great to have because it's just as relevant for buying VF/NM comics as it is for mint hunters.
I've gotten back into collecting comics a little while ago and always appreciate learning new stuff that you and several other youtubers have been willing to share about the hobby. Thanks!
Cool, welcome back! That's one of the great things about this hobby, people are generally really helpful.. I don't get a selfish vibe that often from anyone. I haven't had but maybe a couple negative comments ever.
Love your videos man. I've been cleaning and pressing my own books for about a year and it's always good to see someone else using the same approach! I have picked up some improved methods thanks to you and appreciate you sharing your knowledge and time with us!!!
Sorry I missed the pole. That said, it be great to see videos of how to safely crack open books from CGC, CBC,S, and PGX slabs safely in order to have them cleaned and pressed. Most likely one would crack open a PGX to switch it to a CGC but you never know if you want to crack up in one of the others too
As a 15 year old that has been getting into this fantastic hobby, your videos are always so fun to watch, thanks for everything and keep being awesome!
Very cool! Love to see young people getting into the hobby. Thanks for watching. Let me know what books people your age are into and I'll be sure to feature them!
Congrats on the channel growth! You have one of the best channels on comic collecting and grading out there. You have a great mix of informative and well-thought-out content, along with the general entertainment of the unboxings. It works very well.
Truly appreciate all of your content. I’ve learned a lot. You’ve definitely influenced some of my pressing/grading decisions for the better. I actually just scored my biggest win ever with CGC. 9.6 newsstand SS Batman 423!! Keep up the good work!!
Channels like your's help to send me down the path to doing all the cleaning pressing and submitting myself. thanks and keep putting out the great videos.
Thanks adrian! I find that higher grade books actually benefit the most from repairs much of the time. I mean, when you look at mid and lower grade books, they are mostly lower grade because of non-pressable defects. When you find an 8.5 to 9.4, often it's just bends, dents, and minor soiling/stains that hold them back. Things we can remove!
Hi. Thank you for the videos. They have motivated me to start pressing and cleaning my books. I also am disappointed with the pressers I have used. Just seems that no one is more interested in getting your books to their best than you. I am still learning on some books and soon will submit my first batch for grading.
Literally just told all my friends that are into comics man to subscribe, im in Ireland but theyre in the US, love the page, im following your tips for cleaning and pressing, keep doing what youre doing man 👌👍
I've been slowly learning how to press and clean my own books and your channel has been so beneficial. Signing up for the newsletter is a no-brainer. Keep it up!
I’m just rediscovering my collection and your channel has provided a lot of inspiration. Getting ready to learn pressing because of your enthusiasm and inspiration.
I am so happy to have found your channel! I’m not ready to clean & press books yet, but I found your grading tool to be fantastic. I’m much less intimidated when trying to grade low and mid grade books now.
Thanks, Thor. Cleaning and pressing can seem daunting.. and it does take a bit of an investment. There's nothing wrong with finding a good third party presser, just be careful. I recommend the guy Minthunter uses (Can't remember his name)
Oh, and if you decide to submit any books to CGC after using the tool, I'd be your friend forever if you sent me the results.. (Grades the tools says and actual grades received)
I very much enjoy your humble, low-key (but not low-energy!) videos. I've learned more from you than the "inventors" of our modern comic archival and cleaning processes. Keep it going~!!
Man this is as good as a giveaway can get! The beautiful web of Spider-Man cover and especially the iconic The Amazing Spider-Man 252. Good luck and congrats to the winner! Also early congrats on the 3k subs. Channel is growing fast. 🎉🤝
Congrats on 3k! You have a great format that is more personable and allows your true passion for the hobby to come through. Keep up the great work you put into your videos!!
Congragulations on 3K. I've stumbled across your videos over the past couple of months as I've been getting into comics. I really enjoy your cleaning/pressing/grading videos as I don't know to much about that part of the hobby so those videos a super helpful in learning. Keep up the great work I enjoy the content.

Thank you for all your great content, congratulations on almost 3K subscribers. I like the idea of showing the process from start to finish. I'm still having difficulty correcting spine tics with a tac iron.
Thanks, Gabriel. There is definitely a bit of an art to using the iron. @immaculatecomics has some good content on this. My one tip of the day is to use less time and pressure than you think and use a chamfered board under the spine while you work. The channel mentioned above sells them.

Excellent video! I'm still working on my grading. Some fantastic tips and I really enjoy watching the process of your evaluation. Thanks for taking the time to give us a useful and resourceful video. Enjoy your evening.
I really appreciate your content and look forward to each new video. I think I've learned as much (or more) about grading - something that many overlook the importance of. Thanks for all you do and please keep it up!
To be honest I really enjoy your channel. I sent some books to CBCS and they sat there for a year while the moved locations. I have before and after pictures and they damaged multiples of my books decreasing the value a lot. With all that said I have decided I won’t grade any more books but will keep watching your channel as when I buy raw it will help me to grade it more accurately with the great info your channel offers
Sweet Man! I like your channel a lot, You have taught me a lot about the cleaning, pressing, and pre- grading Process. You have a critical eye for details but also a helpful explanation, Thank You.
Sounds good! If you list the books with the grade my tool gave vs. CGC and email it to me, I'd be your friend forever lol I want to improve the accuracy as much as possible :)
Signed up to your newsletter (y) Used your tool a lot to learn to better grade on stuff in my own collection... It definitely makes me be more thorough than before...

It's great to see that you are taking care of the collection.. very glad if I can help in some small way!
I love the Kraven's Last Hunt story line. Probably my favorite comic book story ever.
It's one of mine as well.. I remember the excitement/buzz back then about it. It's what people were talking about in my LCS
This is the best channel for cleaning and pressing examples. Also really enjoy the before and after videos.
Wow, thank you!

@@ImproveCollectingComics and I was certain to have a 9.4 but the cgc presser did a good job. Now I press my own book thank to you .
What I like about your videos is that you show the entire process and the result after submission to CGC, often in the same video.
Cool, thanks for the feedback. I plan to do a lot more of those

Excellent video! I'm still working on my grading. Some fantastic tips and I really enjoy watching the process of your evaluation. Thanks for taking the time to give us a useful and resourceful video. Enjoy your evening.
You're welcome, and thanks!
Congrats on 3000 subscribers! Always look forward to your videos.
I really appreciate your content and look forward to each new video. I think I've learned as much (or more) about grading - something that many overlook the importance of. Thanks for all you do and please keep it up!
You're welcome and thanks!
pretty interesting, i do love the cleaning and pressing videos
Found your channel at the beginning of the year and it’s been great watching your process and getting these grade bumps
Thanks, Joshua!
Appreciate the love... Thank you.
You're welcome, John.. hope you win!
Ouch, so sorry to hear about that. Thanks for commenting and I hope something like that never happens again!
@@ImproveCollectingComics yup it won’t happen again because I won’t grade again 😂. I feel like I paid someone to damage my books 😂
@@joshuarogers8423 Yeah, ouch. But there are tons of reliable people out there! Just gotta find one.
@@ImproveCollectingComics oh maybe I need to clarify. It was not the presser. He did a great job. It was CBCS
I love both books! Especially the Zeck cover❤️ keep up the great work.
Super happy to have found your channel. Learning a ton already since returning to the hobby.
Great to hear!
Sweet Man! I like your channel a lot, You have taught me a lot about the cleaning, pressing, and pre- grading Process. You have a critical eye for details but also a helpful explanation, Thank You.
I appreciate that, thanks for the comment!
I enjoy your videos. I hope you do the series about the entire "process" from beginning to end. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
Great as always. You really are doing what we wish most of the others would do. Thank you for your brains and your outlook on this hobby
I really appreciate that! Not sure about the brains part though... lol
I started using your grading tool. Will be sending off for grading shortly to find out how accurate. I have been eyeballing up to now.
Sounds good! If you list the books with the grade my tool gave vs. CGC and email it to me, I'd be your friend forever lol I want to improve the accuracy as much as possible :)

Used your tool a lot to learn to better grade on stuff in my own collection... It definitely makes me be more thorough than before...
That's really cool, thanks for letting me know. Please let me know if there is any way you think it can be improved
