    [iPHONE SE 2020 REVIEW]
Everyone’s talking about how the new iPhone SE for 2020 is the "affordable iPhone" and the "only small iPhone" left in Apple's lineup … and while both those things are true, what’s more interesting to me is that the new iPhone SE is a lifeline. For all those people who never wanted to give up the home button, people who never needed a bigger screen or FaceID or more cameras, but do need a new iPhone. And for them, the new iPhone SE 2020 is basically perfect. Join me for MrMobile's iPhone SE 2020 Review!

I LOVE my SE. It’s great because I can still text one handed. It’s great because it has a headphone jack. (Sad that they’ve removed it for the new version) most importantly..it’s because it’s small. We spent SO long in the 90’s trying to get the damn things small enough to fit in a pocket. Now We’ve gone the opposite way. It’s madness.

@Adam J it's a problem that apple has manipulated the market to swallow.
They pair insane powerful chips with incredibly small batteries and they have a dedicated chip handling Bluetooth, wifi and the rest of the extras. The thing about this that Apple users dont get it's that the chip is not eficient and Apple doesn't have a magic formula, but it's rather the low usage of the CPU at start that makes it seem that way. As the years go on and CPU usage increases that battery feels dramatically smaller. Because it's just not enough.
And that without counting Apple just like other companies, dont use high quality batteries (because they can get away with it), push software updates that makes power consumption higher, yata, yata, yata.....
What I'm saying here it's somewhat reproducible by using the phone for tasks that makes CPU very often to go over 20-30% usage. If you take a Snapdragon 855 with 4000mah, and the iPhone 11 pro max and have them using a lot of CPU power, the iphone doesn't even come close to compete and the 25% less battery will show up. That means in 2-3 years a 11 pro max user that now gets 1,5 days will start to have to carry a battery pack, while me with a mi9t pro that now I'm getting the same 1.5days, i will still get well over a day of usage out of it.
I know TH-camrs have always pushed for better cameras and displays, but for the avg joe out there, even if they like premium devices, if you give them for a month to use 2 devices, one with 2x the battery of the other and one with 2x better camera, 95% will choose the battery one after.
Even if MR. Mobile it's right about iPhone pushing competition, he is also forgetting the power that Apple has when creating tendencies. The new iPhone SE shows you can get away with shit design and a battery that's gonna last a year with low usage. We already have excelent budget phones like mi9t and realme x2 pro, which offer excelent value without neglecting anything, but gimmicks like water resistance and wireless charging. Water resistance degrades with time (and it doesn't take that much mind you), and wireless charging it's so slow compared to some of the best fast charging phones out there. The realme x2 i just mentioned fully charges in half an hour

It's because phones are so similar these days that the only thing that reviewers really have to focus on are the cameras and the gaming performance. So many reviews I've watch on TH-cam have started featuring gaming sections to their reviews because otherwise they wouldn't have enough content to call it a review.
Even the camera part of the reviews are getting to the point you have to pixel peep in order to see the differences.

One of the first to watch, one of the first to comment on the fact that, even though I’m 32, I feel real old knowing I want this phone over any other. All the same, thanks for solidifying my decision - and for making the shelter in place more bearable!
And for the record, yes, I’m typing this on my original iPhone SE that I did replace the battery for. Almost 4 years going, while using iOS 13.4.1. Yes, the software update fact is as real as it gets.

I think what Apple’s doing is they’re releasing a bargain phone with every super cycle. (SE was released before the iPhone X super cycle but the new one was released this supercycle). The next one will come with the iPhone 15 (or 14 if they go with a 12S) and probably have the same design as the iPhone 11 Pro. Big notch, maybe 3 cameras, but with the A16/17 processor of that generation. I feel like when this phone sells alot, manufacturers are going to look at it and finally realize that the working class don’t want $1000 flagships with 5G, 30 watt wireless charging, and a screen so big it’s encroaching on iPad mini territory, they just want a phone... one that can last them, and they don’t care about it the bezel or the screen to body ratio.
I’d like to see some phones come out next year around $300-400 with beefy specs and a Galaxy S8 like design. It’s time for the industry to take their foot off the gas pedal...

Even just 1 minute into the video you nailed it. As someone who still hates the display notch, and isn't really ready to give up Touch ID yet, I'm so glad they decided to make this phone. I don't really care about thin bezels at all, and 326ppi is more than enough for normal viewing...and I really think phones have gotten ridiculously large in recent years. I'm holding onto my iPhone 8 because it's doing just fine even almost 3 years later, but it's nice to know I have a "safe" upgrade path should I need it in the future. That said, the moment Apple releases an iPhone without a notch I'll be onboard.

These are things Google would be highly criticized for while Apple constantly gets a pass. If google released such a phone now in 2020, trust me they would get destroyed by every reviewer.

By all means if you want those monstrous specifications then go ahead and get a OnePlus or Samsung. I was a massive Apple hater too. "Everything is so overpriced, lmao i can buy an android that works for like $100". in the US they like to spend money and get in debt for shit they don't need. On the other side of the atlantic, it's mostly 200 bucks devices you see in peoples' hands, because nowadays cheap phones are quite good, and do everything you need. Who in their right mind would spend hundreds for browsing facebook and using whatsapp?
