At first yes but it looked more like nurgle spawn at the end. Decay has many forms. Including moral decay. And all of the religious overzealous guilt tripping of the Imperium makes it easier for demons.
Ah that was so worth the wait. The simple horror of a voice coming from a body to which it does not belong was conveyed frightfully well here. Also do I hear the voice of Sister Rhea Tabitha once again, now voicing the canoness? My compliments to that voice actress as well.
I knew this story wouldn't have a happy ending but the realization that the acolyte would not save sister Isabella was still well written. Especially when the daemon congratulates Mattias for killing his first Saint.

It's likely just said to mess with his head, but that's only natural for a daemon anyway. I think she was consumed long before the exorcist arrived, but if the daemon could cause him to despair it would be at an advantage.

While looking at then picture, I was expecting Slaanesh stuff... Female suffering and torture... Well, in the end it was agonizing in a very special "good" way Amazing voice acting, great story, thank you all so much for this masterpiece

I think this is one of your best works so far. Stephen Duxbury wrote a fantastic story that really seems to be "The Exorcist" in 40K. The voice acting is fantastic and on point, the atmosphere is kind of haunting the whole time. I especially liked the beginning. It just gives you such an unpleasant feeling in combination with the music. Amazing work from all of you.
This production is absolutely mind-blowing. The emotion, the terror, the drama! I have listened to many 40k, Warhammer Fantasy, and Age of Sigmar audio books. I'm confident in saying this is better than 80-90% of them. This channel is truly blessed by the Emperor, the holy Primarchs, and all the Saints!

EDIT: Stellar oratory; I'm actually writing about an exorcist of my own. This is quite inspirational, I must admit.
I don't think the daemon was telling the truth about her having laid with a man. The intro bit was the point when the daemon was trying to possess her by using an old memory of her with the cadian officer before she became a saint. And the sister repelled the daemon the same way she repelled the officer. With a grenade. Because even if she liked him the emperor was her true love all along. That's why she did not mutate for so long. Only when the faithless inquisitorial cleric fucked up and disturbed her wards. At least that's my interpretation.

I like how the daemon goes into some of the history of it like Van dire's reign of terror which utilised misguided faith. Obviously the daemon is still malevolent but what makes it all so twisted is that the beliefs held by the acolyte are based on falsehoods.

There are very few channels on YT that churn out the kind of quality content you do. I remember Vox doing a Warhammer 50k story and I was hugely impressed with it but it seems to have been lost to the ether. I hope to hear that again sometime.
