If you’ve heard of the Anchorite, a contemptor pattern dreadnaught, formerly of word bearer legion, he was the one who helped make the 40k church holy scriptures
Assuming the guy knew who Lorgar is, yeah. Though he might not have been high up enough in the church to have access to that kind of heretic knowledge.
Pity if he didn’t, it would be a waste of a good burn.

At first glance, that looks like a daemonette. Oh my god emperor, guard my soul from temptation and corruption as I partake of this audible feast!!

At first yes but it looked more like nurgle spawn at the end. Decay has many forms. Including moral decay. And all of the religious overzealous guilt tripping of the Imperium makes it easier for demons.
The Daemon didn't say a single lie. The Ecclesiarchy is truly a fcked up place
and i love that. no lies parted the deamons lip
But demons most effective weapon is that faith is the only thing that protects humanity. They will weaponize truth to shake Faith.
The God Emperor *protects....*
And The Vox In The Void *_entertains..._*
Facing the servants to the Dark Prince will forever scar anyone no matter how faithful we are, as they will strike at you when they find a weakness in your being. This is a reminder that Chaos strike at you at your very soul and that struggle will be a constant.
I don't know, the very existence and evidence of daemons would make me a believer in the emperor, just the thought of going to hell/warp and not being able to do anything about it would be horrifying in itself.
@@The_Foolish_Fool Except that the irony is the entire reason Lorgar and the entire Word Bearer legion switched to Chaos was because they were the MOST devout in believing the heresy that the emperor was a living god--yes, heresy. In point of fact they took too long on the great crusade because they were busy converting worlds in their wake to believing in this despite the emperor having specifically outlawed religion like some kind of space Stalin. In the lore it is canon that the emperor when he was first uniting Terra sat down with the last priest on earth, having exterminated all the last living priests and religious people in the world, and confronted that last living priest. Then the emperor had that last priest burned alive. The emperor HATED religion, and he punished the shit out of Lorgar and destroyed their most precious devout world in retaliation for spreading the heresy of faith.
The irony about all of this is the fact that one of the great lies the emperor told Lorgar was that there is no faith and no religion--indeed there IS a real faith, and that true faith is terrible.
This is 40k. The emperor literally won't save you. It's just a retarded superstition imposed by a bunch of shitty apparatchiks on Terra after the Emperor gets merk'd and therefore couldn't do anything about what was done in his name. The entire Word Bearer legion is the result of having falsely believed the emperor was a god, being punished for believing in the emperor in a religious sense, and then finding out there is indeed a spiritual reality and that there are actual real gods and the emperor is a false god. This is literally all canon.
I knew this story wouldn't have a happy ending but the realization that the acolyte would not save sister Isabella was still well written.
Especially when the daemon congratulates Mattias for killing his first Saint.
I didn’t get that part. How did he kill her?
@@leovalenzuela8368 I believe the implication, is that the exorcist's lack of faith in the sister's sainthood played a role in her failure to become a Saint.
It's likely just said to mess with his head, but that's only natural for a daemon anyway. I think she was consumed long before the exorcist arrived, but if the daemon could cause him to despair it would be at an advantage.

Ah that was so worth the wait. The simple horror of a voice coming from a body to which it does not belong was conveyed frightfully well here. Also do I hear the voice of Sister Rhea Tabitha once again, now voicing the canoness? My compliments to that voice actress as well.
She did a fantastic job!

Actually many do, they used to when they were the brides of the emperor and tradition has a way of surviving in the imperium
Also every order of sisters is different, like chapters they often have a culture that flavors them and Chasity is EXTREMELY fitting since they are space nuns and a religious coven dedicated to endless holy wars
Also this group seems even more misandrist than normal (and that's saying something) so they might especially despise fraternity with males

This maybe inspired by the exorcist film. But this work is far more clever.

I don't think the daemon was telling the truth about her having laid with a man.
The intro bit was the point when the daemon was trying to possess her by using an old memory of her with the cadian officer before she became a saint.
And the sister repelled the daemon the same way she repelled the officer. With a grenade. Because even if she liked him the emperor was her true love all along.
That's why she did not mutate for so long.
Only when the faithless inquisitorial cleric fucked up and disturbed her wards.
At least that's my interpretation.

I think this is one of your best works so far. Stephen Duxbury wrote a fantastic story that really seems to be "The Exorcist" in 40K. The voice acting is fantastic and on point, the atmosphere is kind of haunting the whole time. I especially liked the beginning. It just gives you such an unpleasant feeling in combination with the music. Amazing work from all of you.

Not entirely sure what the demon is saying is true. Do we have any reason to believe it?
@@TheBigMclargehuge I'd call it mostly truth. The only obvious lie is that having taken a lover would somehow make her unfit for sainthood.
There is no such requirement for any saint of the Emperor, either before or after being declared a saint. That is simply the demon preying on the accolytes own supression of his urges and the thrill he feels by denial.
It is an excellent thing to prey on at this time, the first of november, as some chose to partake in no nut november... as if the thrill of denial and pain is more virtous than to dare to love even in war. 😂

@TheBigMclargehuge the Ecliasarchal scripture is based on the lectitio diviniatus written by Lorgar, its all a lie can't be reconciled with the imperial truth. I like how the daemon goes into some of the history of it like Van dire's reign of terror which utilised misguided faith.
Obviously the daemon is still malevolent but what makes it all so twisted is that the beliefs held by the acolyte are based on falsehoods.

When you get so enthralled by the story that you began hoping and even praying with the sign of the equila in order for the accolade to just get this W. only to find our faith be ripped away by the harsh reality that is 40k

EDIT: Stellar oratory; I'm actually writing about an exorcist of my own. This is quite inspirational, I must admit.
That was spookey and amazing at the same time! The level of detail with which the dialogue was written really reminded me alot of the exorcist movie.
This production is absolutely mind-blowing. The emotion, the terror, the drama! I have listened to many 40k, Warhammer Fantasy, and Age of Sigmar audio books. I'm confident in saying this is better than 80-90% of them. This channel is truly blessed by the Emperor, the holy Primarchs, and all the Saints!

Another great one, I’d still say Flesh Noose is the most purely horrific and doom-evoking in your library, but I for sure will be shriveling in terror every time I use Isabella (pretty sure it’s not the same one) in WH40k Tacticus
Agree thar Flesh Noose was amazing, there is another Tyranid one also with a Lictor demoralizing a general by killing his kids, that also got me.
I will say though that the White Scars book that Flesh Noose came from...well...it is the worst 40K novel of the couple dozen I've read. 😂
I've been subscribed to your channel for awhile now, but every time you release a new narration, I still get excited. It's like, "Ooo! A new Vox In The Void clip!" There are very few channels on YT that churn out the kind of quality content you do. Seriously, you've got to be one of the best narrators/voice actors I've ever heard, plus, the stories you read are always interesting! WH40k universe never gets old. Keep it up! You can see in hindsight how the deamon played the aquilite like a fiddle to make him deny the santity of the martyr.

@@Tacoguy1000 nope, she was a Saint in ascension, that's why the deamon was posesing her, to stop her, that's also why she would not die, the deamon made a fake a story about her getting dick from a random soldier but the inquisitor never confirmed if the story was true he just assumed it was true. Never trust the word of a deamon.
If that's the case, then they sent the worst goober to do the job. You'd think something like that would ask for someone much more seasoned. Or heck, a while group of people
