    long-term use of L-Tyrosine can suppress serotonin. Symptoms include depression, fatigue or severe anxiety feeling much like a panic attack. You can easily counter this by supporting serotonin with a 250 - 500 mg L-Tryptophan about 60 mins. before bed.

    • @BenAngel
      @BenAngel  ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Hey there, thanks for sharing your thoughts on the potential effects of long-term L-Tyrosine use on serotonin levels. I understand your concern and the suggestion of using L-Tryptophan to counteract these symptoms. However, I couldn't find any concrete research to support these claims. If you happen to have any sources or studies that back up these statements, I'd really appreciate it if you could share them with us. Hi Deebo, I'm so sorry to hear. A few things, cut out all caffeine asap, it will amplify/trigger anxiety, making your depression worse. It looks like you're doing everything right, other factors to consider include, your gut health (i.e. if you've taken a recent course of antibiotics), and your dietary intake. L-tyrosine was incredibly useful in helping me fight depression, it gave me my brain back so I could pinpoint the other causes. For your anxiety, l-theanine is another natural nootropic I take 5 days a week, it will aid in mood, & concentration. Here's another video you may like to watch - th-cam.com/video/kJoWq88gJ_4/w-d-xo.html Please shout out if you have any questions, I'm here to help.

    I have heard about L-Tyrosine raising dopamine levels and that dopamine deficiency is really bad. What should the ideal dopamine levels be in our bodies? What is the cheapest way to get tested? What are the symptoms of having too much dopamine? And if we are raising our dopamine levels, do we also need to boost seratonin levels?

    • @BenAngel
      @BenAngel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great questions. Re. dopamine levels, there's no reliable way to test them. Start by identifying the symptoms of low dopamine first, then, when you start to feel better, you'll notice when you're in a high or low dopamine state (watch this video for more on dopamine - th-cam.com/video/5eETVLg1gYs/w-d-xo.html ) re. boosting at the same time, that's based on your individual needs. It's important to get the fundamentals right regardless to help with both, i.e. sleep, nutrition, exercise, as well as visualization, which will help to boost both.

      Before when use you must everything look what is way to good cosumated.
      5HTP or Tyrosine use higher up to 3 months.
      Apsolutly must together use 5HTP with Tyrosine but not both now.
      Tyrosine in morning and 5HTP in evening in 1:10.Example 50mg 5HTP and 500 mg Tyrosene etc.
      Not use only one long months because get down other hormon.
      If use only 5HTP which is seratonin cursor you not have Dopamine and you go to depresion.If use only tyrosine which is cursor dopamine you not have 5HTP and hormon seratonine and you feel very bad.
      You must get B6 B9 and D vitamines with cooper zink for absorbsien because if dont that use he is not get trough
      Blood bariere.
      Be very cherfuly when use if you want to good result and not have some problem

      It sounds like the tyrosine had a bad interaction with Paxil. You can get l tyrosine in powder form and at much lower doses. 750mg is a lot to start with. You may want to consider trying l-theanine, but start small (and with powder), to help address dopamine depletion. But you're best speaking with a functional medicine doctor to discuss all the medications you're on and any other interactions you may have.

      Hi Suki, I'm sorry to hear. 500mg's is a lot to take. A typical dose is 150 milligrams (mg) daily. Also, if you're taking a protein shake, check to see how much is in that. • @BenAngel
      @BenAngel  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Ricky, I hope you're well. Great questions. Re. l-tyrosine, yes, it has been shown to assist with depression as it's a precursor to dopamine (your motivation molecule). In fact, when I was writing my book Unstoppable, I used it as a way to get myself out of depression without the need for antidepressants, but of course, you want to work with your doctor re. your medication & weening yourself off of it. There is some evidence re. sexual problems. Re. skin issues, that I'm unaware of. If you are to try it again, make sure your diet remains the same, so you can be sure that l-tyrosine is indeed the issue. Re. dosage, you want to start with the recommended dosage on the bottle. Another supplement I always suggest is l-theanine, because it helps with anxiety, as well as dopamine. A few other notes, if you are consuming caffeine, reduce it to zero over the next 30 days, this has been implicated in panic attacks. L-theanine works synergistically with caffeine, but I always advocate for those that are struggling with mental health issues to give it a complete break for a while. Ultimately, you need a comprehensive approach to treat depression, i.e. nutritional psychology, gut health, & psychology. I do have a program that focuses on pinpointing the key issues, then building in habits to treat it effectively - www.areyouunstoppable.com/dismantling-depression-trial Depression is multi-faceted, & it must be treated as such, there isn't any one size fits all approach. One reason we have a personalized quiz in our program to better personalize the protocol to get better. I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any questions. I'm here to help. My Doctors, Psychiatrist are useless at best they just want to throw more meds down my throat, this is why I'm looking for a more natural route to take, ok so today is day 5 on them I'm no ,longer sweating like mad in fact I'm just normal regarding sweating, but I am now only taking 1, 500mg capsule instead of taking 2, I take it in the morning while getting ready for work maybe 7.30-8am and I have energy and focus and it lasts up until around 12-1pm then I am unfocused and am very nearly falling asleep at work it's a struggle to stay awake, also feel real low and depressed is this because the tyrosine has left my body and I need to take another? but I can now sleep at night because I am not taking another 1 but it gets me thinking how can people take up to 2000mg throughout the day and not have their sleep messed up, so what's going do you think, is it like a caffeine burst for so many hours and then you need more to feel good again? I'm scared to take a second tablet even at 12-1pm in case I get the sweats again or cant sleep at night or get a panic attack or anxiety, maybe it won't happen but it kind of seems to me that you have to keep on topping up to get the good benefits, not sure if it's true though although I'm alert when I take 1 I kind of feel like I have had a load of caffeine and about to get a ton of anxiety because it's a stimulant, but maybe that's phycological though, but the antidepressant feeling has not happened yet does that take time?
      what do you think to all this?
