      Dr. Ekberg, Just went in to have blood work done. My EOS number says it's high. Can allergic reaction from medicines be a trigger? Do have food Allergies and cut all that effect me the most. Can you maybe give some incite on EOS numbers and symptoms.

Could you please explain what is the reason for iodine sensitivity : if some body is sencitive to potassium iodide drops,potassium iodide containing multivitamins, kelp, krill oil........ Is there any solution for this condition. Would be very grateful.

    Sleeping 4 hours even for a week is terrible. When I was a student, I used to sleep poorly during the exams and it was tough but I survived. These days though, if I'm going through a tough time at work and have to sleep poorly to make ends meet for a couple of weeks, it's a tragedy. It makes me cranky and irritable and after a few days I'm no longer productive, I just feel like doing nothing and I move at a glacial pace. That's why I avoid as much as possible going through this again. Sleeping less doesn't give you the chance to do more stuff and be more productive, it only brings you down and opens the door to various illnesses!

      I would study for 17 hours a day during my university exam days and don't sleep for 2-3 days in a row and it was so horrible. I'm just glad it's all over.

    I come from a long line of natural 4 hour sleepers on my paternal side. I couldn’t sleep more than that if I had all the time in the world! I eat healthy, exercise daily, and am totally alert all day.

    I have been sleeping 4 hours since the last 15+ years and I feel awesome. I can't sleep more than 4 hours as I wake up automatically after 4 hours of continuous sleep. Getting closer to 70 than 30.

      I think it’s genetically determined the quality of sleep someone can get and I think some are able to get doubley good sleep

      @@blacklyfe5543We don’t know that so stop calling people liars. Some people have different genes which makes them sleep less but doesn’t put them at risk of any health problems. The 7 to 8 hours of sleep only applies to people without this gene.

    Thanks Dr. Ekberg for another top quality video.
    I'm 34, spent a year training my body in small 10min increments to wake up as early as possible. For the last 2 years i've been getting up 6days a week at 3am for a 4am weight training workout. The days i sleep in and miss my workout, the days where i get 6-7hrs sleep, are when i am least focused, most groggy and with the shortest temper. Most nights bed time is 10.30pm, out like a light and awake at 3am ready to attack the weights!
    Love the vids and keep them coming!

      I also do much better on 4 or 5 hrs of sleep ever since I'm an adult.
      Never understood it but it is very real.
      Never noticed any adverse effect. Functioning well generally.
      I do try to sleep longer but my body doesn't cooperate. Working towards 6 hrs with some succes but going slow.
      One does what one can, I guess.

      That's because when you wake up (from your alarm) after 6-7h of sleep, you are in your deep sleep. That's why you feel groggy for the rest of the day. If you'd wake up just 1h later, you would feel more refreshed.

    Thx Sten, You are my health champion! I ran a child care for 40 years and it kept me in a high cortisol state. I have been working towards a better relationship with my sleep for several years now and its getting better but still, if I have an ‘important’ meeting the next day I can’t sleep. I do the sleep yoga meditation, eat well, turn off social media…and can’t shake this old habit of the alert wakefulness, it reminds me of the huge responsibility I had caring for children when I was ‘on guard’ paying attention and responding quickly to their needs…please say more about the long term effect, I think maybe even permanent, and if meds are ok on occasion….I have much gratitude for you routinely and I share your channel with family and friends.

    I used to get 7 hours of sleep on the standard American diet. Went Carnivore and my sleep dropped to 6 hours a night. I feel great. But I have been stressed at work this week and am getting closer to 4 hours. I feel it! I can't wait for the stress to go back to normal and get back to 6 hours a night. Thanks for the information. Your content is always great.

    I can say, from personal experience, that lack of sleep, or even chronic poor quality sleep, can and does have adverse health effects. I worked the night shift for about two and a half years, and I did okay for a while, though I was tired a lot, but after about a year and a half I started getting sick a lot more often. I tried to sleep for at least eight hours during the day, but I could always hear the neighbors outside, and when people came over I could hear them upstairs (I was sleeping in the basement). And even though I covered the window in my room as best I could, I could see the sun shining into my room. So even though I lay still in bed, I don't think that I got the deep sleep that I should have gotten.
    Actually, I was lucky in a way, because one of my coworkers got sick a lot more often than I did, but strangely, she was never tired. She couldn't understand why I felt so tired, and she thought that I might have been sleeping too much, or that I just needed to get used to not sleeping. But I think that the lack of sleep (or poor quality sleep) was affecting her differently. I was tired a lot, but rarely sick (during the first year and a half), but she kept getting sick, almost every other week, though she never felt tired. But she never made the connection between that and lack of sleep.
    It really is a sobering thought, the long-term effects that lack of sleep can have. Now I just need to learn more about what I can do to get my sleep cycle back to what it should be, and get better quality sleep. I've started experiencing some health issues myself, during the last couple of years, and I'm hoping that getting more and better quality sleep will help.

    I definitely agree that only getting 4 hrs of sleep reduces focus, reaction time, alertness and increases fatigue and blunts humor. Taking a nap doesn't seem to help much. The next day if I get 6-8 hours sleep all those symptoms disappear. It's scary to learn about the long term affects of sleep deprivation

      if you change your routine day by day it's happen. Do it for 2 weeks or 3 then your body clock will be set and will not feel all these symptoms

    What if you slept four hours or less for over a decade? It’s called a symptom of ptsd and it’s absolutely miserable. These fixes the doctors provide don’t work at all.

      Hi there - I had to deal with cPTSD - long story but I couldn’t sleep for months after onset and then had to depend first on Ativan and then on a combo of Ambien and Gabapetin (the doctors wanted to put me on antidepressants but I resisted - just barely). I was able to get my elevation down after a year and one-half by doing a constant practice of Kundalini Yoga because I found books and whatnot on the web addressing PTSD through these practices. Plus I was helped quite a bit for a while by acupuncture. These days I still wake up in the middle of the night but I have these practices that always put me back to sleep. Also I still see a therapist once every two weeks - find it very helpful. Good luck to finding a way out!

      I’m sorry you’ve struggled with sleep deprivation from PTSD. That can really take away your quality of life. I do agree with the above comment so find your original post if you haven’t seen it. Your remedy is going to rely on using non-conventional practices. I want to also suggest watching Andrew Huberman video on sleep and also one on trauma and healing. His studies and suggestions have helped me overcome addiction, reverse depression and sleep better. I hope this helps.

    Thus far I have never slept more than 4 to 5 and a half hours of continuous sleep since childhood. A few times I have slept for a little over 6 hours. Those few times were actually memorable because I woke up and felt unbelievably refreshed and revitalized . I have always envied those whom can stay asleep. I still experience joy in my life, I am extra creativity and imaginative, and love athletics. My blood work is "normal". Any anxiety developed in my body is released through strenuous exercise. I have always been easily distracted. I’ve felt that I’m just not normal because of my odd sleeping pattern. Taking Melatonin gives me insomnia.

      Me as well. I have just started taking inositol (a B vitamin) to hopefully help. Its apparently great for middle insomnia plus anxiety, depression, PCOS, etc. Took it before bed as most people do, but it kept me awake. Now i take it in the morning and midday, so that energy surge serves me better

    I've had a sleeping disorder since I was a little kid I'm 60 years old now and trying to get my health back on track with this gallbladder issue eating really clean now taking care of myself after watching your videos hopefully this will all go away soon

    What do you make off the evidence that a natural sleep cycle is 3 hours sleep at sundown, two hours of wakefulness, and a further 3-4 hours sleep?
    After moving to a remote area with no artificial lighting, I eventually found myself in this cycle, and no longer experiencing somnolence in the morning.

    I sleep around 4-6 hours a night. I’ve been like this since I was young and I’m in my 40s now. I have tried not to stay up too late but when I go to bed at a decent time I just lie there awake anyways. I figure I will just not go to bed until I know I will actually fall asleep, which is around 1 AM and I wake up around 6:45 AM. I have a fit bit and I get more REM and Deep sleep when I sleep 6 hours then I do at 7+. I also feel more tired and it’s harder to wake up on time when I go to bed at a “normal” time and sleep 7 hours.

      I think that’s a great idea. Laying there awake isn’t productive. REM sleep is the most important for sure!!

      I sleep about 5 to 6 hours a night. That's when I wake up without an alarm. It's been like that for decades with me. I'm 68 now and in good health. I'm retired now and my sleep hasn't increased.

    This video is so scary for me to watch as I am dealing with an anti-social behaviour issue where I have not had 6+ hours of good quality, undisturbed sleep, within my own home, for 4 months now - thats 120days+. This problem person is actually killing me! And this is likely to be ongoing until resolved probably next year. Thanks so much for this video and the medical information that both educates me and provides me with a reputable medical source reference that I can use to help myself and all of us affected with this person/issue

    Tq Dr Ekberg what a great vid on sleep. I change my sleeping habit sometime ago and the result so amazing I want to share here. 90 minutes before sleep I stop using smartphone tv pc or any electronic device. I sleep like a baby every night since then! Peace :)

    I finished my fast doctor, I dropped 49 pounds in 39 and a half days. I had the shakes yesterday I couldn't do the full 40 days. But it's easy not to eat. I'm only craving water and don't want to eat. I woke up wanting to run a marathon lol. Have a great day and keep healing us with vital information.

      HALFMAN, those are impressive results! Can you explain in greater detail about your 40 day fast? Why did you decide to do the fast? Was it based on an existing program or something you read? Did you take any supplements (electrolytes, fatty coffee, etc.) along the way? Besides losing the way, what other benefits have you seen from completing the fast? I’m sorry for all the questions I’m just really, really interested in this. I have been suffering from stress and lack of sleep for the last few years and I know I need to fix it somehow. I thought perhaps a prolonged fast might be the answer. I hope you find time to reply to my message. Thank you!

    Can I suggest something for a new video?
    I see more and more nutritionists and different diet followers to get into the topic of "plants and seeds want to kill you" or "plants and seeds are trying to kill you" and that it is not a human proper food to eat these foods, with all their defense mechanisms and toxins.
    I would love to know your take on these kind of things.

    Im an retired anesthesiologist ,with a degree in psychology , as usual your video was very illustrative and clear ,and maybe you can give some information about : 1-does the nap time should be add to the total sleep time during the day 2- the sleep induced by sleeping drugs , has the same quality as natural sleep , and last a question that i couldn't answer during my practice years in anesthesia 3- its the anesthesia induced sleep ,has the same characteristic as the "normal sleep /thank you for your always clear, useful and honest videos .

      Good questions! I'd guess the normal sleep cycle can't be squashed into a few hours a night plus naps, and that anesthesia is nowhere near normal sleep. Doesn't it work by, how should I say it, by "blocking" a part of consciousness? Sleep shuts down bodily systems, doesn't it? I think anesthesia and sleep work by different fundamental mechanisms in the body. Oh - no, drug-induced sleep is not as good as natural sleep, in part because the drug's effects remain for a time after awakening, but I think a forced shut down has a different mechanism than natural sleep. Such good questions! Let's hope Ekberg answers them in a new video.

      @@rubynibs thank you, after i did the anesthesia question i realized that sleep in anesthesia is a different chapter, because 1- not all the anesthesias, put you in a sleeping state, 2- some drugs in anesthesia induce the sleep but depending of the dose and administration way etc, 3-The EEG is totally different than a normal sleeping EEG , but thank you for the answers , very clear and logical by the way .

      Isn't a normal sleep happening based on our cyrcadian cycles which in turn activate some hormones (or being activated by some hormones)? E.g. melatonin is being produced when it is getting dark. It will trigger a cascade of other biological processes that will work on detoxing our body, repairing some damage during sleep, etc. Is it possible to induce all those processes in the body by administering a drug? I think anestesia is like being knocked out by force. Our bodies seem to be "built" into a larger matrix of our planetary cycles because this is how we have evolved as species. We can't fool our biology as it is linked and is dependant on the outside environment.

    A while ago I read a book called, "Why WE Sleep." It changed how I see sleep. And every parent should know the importance of sleep, And now this video has added tomy knowledge. Since paying attention to sleep, I can in stantly tell if I've had enough. IF i WAKE UP AND WANT TO STRETCH, I'm probably good top go. And if after stretching I smile -- perfect. Works for me!

    A very interesting subject for many. It would be good to go more in-depth on sleep. I have gone 4 nights without sleep many times and really don't know why it's a kind of pattern I seem to have developed I have however remained alert and only sleep around 3 to 4 hrs a night some days I do feel lethargic more now than when my insomnia first started a while back. However, in the long term, im sure it will catch up with me. Not everybody goes to bed feeling stressed, and yet they still can't go to sleep. I believe that a hormonal imbalance can also play a big part in very little sleep. There are so many factors to consider. Thank you for the video

      Try some exercise, anything physically demanding. Guaranteed biking a few fast miles, swimming a few laps or just walking up some hills would let you rest more normally! That's why Doc says exercise is a key

    Once I got my weight in a normal range and became metabolically healthy my sleep fixed itself. I sleep great. I think sleep requires your systems to be in good working order, then sleep is very natural and easy. I also practice breathing exercises about 5-10 minutes while relaxing in bed. Great video.

      I've read studies that suggest oversleeping can cause diseases but, as the good doctor points out, correlation does not imply causation.
      I think a lot of sleep hygiene is down to routine; if napping is part of one's sleep cycle it shouldn't effect nighttime sleep. For me, sleep is like medication; if I miss a dose, I wait til the next dose is due.

      depends on the time you take that nap, the best time to take a nap without affecting your night sleep is by taking a nap before 12:00 or 11:00 am

    I have had sleep issues for the past 25 years. I am 67 years old. For about four nights six days ago, I got about four hours of sleep, the day before yesterday I got about 7 hours of sleep, and last night, I got 9 1/2 hours of sleep. I have bad long term memory for many things, like our family vacations and other memories. I can’t recall the last time I remembered a dream. I am an active senior who is busy with family and my chickens and my dog. My husband and I go to concerts, and other activities. I am not sitting in a rocking chair knitting afghans. 😀. For now, physically, I am healthy as a horse! I do understand the importance of a good night of sleep. I consider myself lucky to be as healthy as I am given my poor sleep issues.

    I had a cervical spinal fusion in 2007 at 54 years old. Have not been able to sleep more than 3-4 hours per night since. Even Ambien does not help. Take 10 mg melatonin. You are right, no joy in life left.
    From a Dane in Ca. to a Swede in Ga. Thank you for all your videos.
    I must say, watching this video is shooting my cortisol to the moon, bordering on panic.

      No panic, min vän! Ekberg has other videos on sleep, as do sleep researchers. Get as much information as you can before you panic. Breathe. You might have to resign yourself to sleeping a few hours at a time, that is, 3-4 at night, being awake a few hours, then sleeping again. It's no fun, but it's something we can adjust to.
      Was your spinal fusion done in the US or in Denmark?

      @@rubynibs Mange tak, I appreciate your suggestions, but it's been 16 years now so I have tried it all. The 3 hours per night are done as you suggested. One hour at a time.
      With Ambien I can get all 3 in a row, but I try not to use it if I can.
      The fusion was done in the US, they messed me up good. 😊Sorry to say, but I don't think I will ever adjust, too many years of sleep deprivation has taken it's toll. But 🤞👍

      @@ibberman I know one or two others with spinal fusions, both done in Sweden, both in constant pain since their operations. But then there's my auntie...
      I grew up with an aunt who never walked straight. She had a slight limp and slight hunch, due to three back operations after a car accident. She was in constant pain, on pain killers for many years, and likely sleeping tablets, too. She was always in good spirits, and never gave up!
      Decades later, when I was well into adulthood, I went to my grandparents' house. In breezes a woman who walked like the other women in my family: with wonderful, eye-catching posture. My brain couldn't figure out what it was seeing, so I just stared at her. Then it clicked: she was my crippled aunt! My eyes bugged out!
      Seems Auntie had had a fourth operation that fixed everything, at least well enough that she was pain free and walking and moving like the rest of the women.
      We never know what the future holds. I try to be like my aunt: always in a good mood, despite everything, and always hoping and looking for a cure.
      If you're in such pain that you don't sleep well, that's grounds for getting your back checked out again. Maybe try the Mayo Clinic. If not, find the best spine surgeon around. To do that, you'll need to ask lots of questions from a lot of people, not just look at online reviews. You want to see his track record, studies he's published, what other surgeons say about him, what nurses say about him, if possible, what his spine surgery patients say about him. Take your time, and find the best guy around, then get checked again. Never believe you're stuck. Make getting your back in shape your mission in life.

      Sorry you had a bad c-fusion. My husband had his in 2004 and he sleeps about 3 hours a night too. He does the toss & turn thing. We have bought every pillow known to man and I have made his pillow. We even bought 2 sleep # beds those are for the birds. He is on Lyrica and this is a wonderful drug for him. But he also has thoracic issues.

    I've been getting not even that for last 12 years. I sleep usually around 3 - 4 hours per night, and this is happening only when i take some pill or smoke weed. But i stopped smoking. It got me addicted on some point. And this few hours is not in one go. I usually wake up about 3 times within this time. The worst thing about it is not even the length, but the deepness. Usually it's very shallow. Not this deep nice sleep when you feel really rested after. There are some nights when I don't fall asleep. Quite often. I wish I could sleep more and better, but unfortunately I never feel sleepy, honestly never. I feel tired, no energy, no libido, but all the time kind of alert. I honestly don't know what to do anymore.

      Have you experimented with different forms of magnesium...... also additional potassium?
      If you haven't, it might be worth a shot. Magnesium citrate powders along with additional potassium have helped me in the past.

      Are you online the last two hours before you go to bed? If so, shut every device off, make sure you don't have any small lights in your bedroom (like on a router), and read a book for an hour or more just before bed. Melatonin might help, too.

    Thank you so much Dr Ekberg, I slept for 4 to 5 hours in the last 6 months or so due to family stress. I am on a keto diet but still feel fatigued and sluggish. I never considered lack of sleep to be a factor. Lifesaving video. I am going for blood tests, I will do Fasting Insulin Resistance Triglycerides test, any other test you recommend checking important numbers. Thanks Sir!!!

    The video assumes continuous sleep. Some of us are on a biphasic or polyphasic sleep pattern. I typically take a 30 minute nap around 8pm. I go into REM and start dreaming during this nap. I take another 30 to 45 minute nap around 10pm. Same as before, I go into REM and dream. My last sleep of the night is between 2/3am to 6am. I go into REM and dream. I have a BMI of 20. I walk/jog at least 5 miles a day, and as much as 12 miles per day on weekends/holidays. All my lab tests from my annual physical fall into the normal range. I take no medication. My memory/cognition is better than almost everyone I associate with.

    Hi Doctor, thanks for the video. I am a 17 years old student, lately I made a huge backlog which I need to complete urgently so I study through the night and often sleep during the daytime, around 6hrs on most days, I like studying when I am alone, might have to continue doing this for a month or two. The video is very well-informed, but it doesn't cover much on sleeping during the daytime and I really admire your knowledge, would like to know your opinion/advise on the same. Thanks again Doctor.

    Thanks, Doctor for the info. I get along incredibly well with about 4.5 hours of sleep a day, working 65hrs/week, and studying an additional 20-25hrs/week, so this video immediately drew me in. I thought I might be missing something that I should be aware of, but it seems I am good. I don't use an alarm clock to wake up, I assume if I don't wake up naturally that I need the extra sleep that day.

    Sleep deprivation has been in fact used as a form of torture or also pressure.
    It's like a slow death, but oversleeping is also pretty bad. I figure out from this explanation that oversleeping doesn't compensate any former lack of sleep?
    I've had several ups and downs and have tried different schedules, but i think 7h for me is the right time.

    I recall one particular night very clearly where I undressed and climbed into bed then turned over and the alarm was sounding time to travel back to work, absolutely no sensation of rest or sleep at all. These days I'm better at sleep-hygiene as it's called. But as well as that I am better aware of dreaming and what my mind is processing at night. Sleeping is not unproductive time. (I recall reading about the process of flushing the liquid around the brain during sleep, critical to mental health.)

    at one of my previous workplace accounting “season” was like 1. week 3-6 hours sleep, 2. week 1-3 hours sleep. I almost ended up in the hospital with peptic ulcer & anemia. I couldn’t think properly & anxiety was eating me up. I also almost fainted in front of the metro & when I finally slept myself out properly my body & mind got so overwhelmed I had a complete breakdown, I just sat in one place for 2 days & cried out of control. it’s still so scary to look back at it & to remember the deep tiredness. never again

    As a younger self, sleep helped me solved many accademic problems (at College/Uni) that I couldn't while I was awake. Same think when I started my professional programming career where I found solutions to problems while sleeping to the point of waking me up and writing it down. Then early thirties hit and for the next twenty years after, my sleep worsen each year. Until I discovered a few years ago that I had sleep apnea - for at least the last fifteen years at least. Using my machine now to sleep helps me get up to 7h of sleep. Sleep is underrated!
    Edit: Also, one thing that is never talked about when relating to sleep is the darkness and quietness of where you sleep. If you want to rest to the maximum, be sure that the room where you sleep is dark (real dark like you can't see your hands in front of you) and that no noise whatsoever can be heard. That's why when you sleep in a cabin in the woods, you feel refreshed when you wake up - there is also less WiFi in the woods which also impact the healing the sleep brings.

I have been watching Dr. Berg and Dr. Frank Suarez (R.I.P.) but it's refreshing to watch a different approach for some of the problems I have.     Great video. I have been able to sleep only about 4 hrs per night after turning 55, but I keep up the exercise every other day. I only feel a little fatigue sometimes. If I can't sleep for two nights, I would really feel tired.

    This is so right on!! All sentient beings are meant to sleep at night. (I bet most of that 1/3rd you mentioned are shift workers like me!) I get agitated and sad way more than I care to admit.

      Sweden is falling apart. Yes, we are strict about drunk driving, but healthcare here is so basic you'd be shocked, if you're American. We have elderly starving, while we bring in more and more migrants. Dental is expensive (we don't have such well developed insurance plans as in the US), so our teeth are not great, as it's just too expensive. I've lived and worked in both countries, and could go on and on and on. Don't believe the hype on Sweden; we are 10 million people, and things are fast going down the drain. If I could return to the US, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

    I can't remember the last time I got more than 6 hours of sleep. Over 9 years ago for sure. Unfortunately, I am a night owl, rarely getting to bed, never mind actually to sleep, before midnight, and I have to get up around 6am every day of the week for family reasons. No sleeping in ever. And yes I sometimes feel groggy during the day.

    I'm a chronic insomniac. I'd LOVE to get 4hrs sleep a night. There's no pattern to my sleep, so there are phases where I sleep normally, but I rarely get 4hrs a night. For the past 3 weeks I've had about 2hrs of sleep a night and that was totally broken, including 'lucid sleep' where I'm not dreaming but I know I'm asleep. That type of sleep is as good as useless. I'm 50 now and have been this way since I was in my teens. Believe it or not but I actually look about 10-15 years younger than people my own age.

      Join the club! It’s 06.44 here atm and I’ve not slept at all. Yesterday afternoon I nodded off for a couple of hours but again, I’d not slept at all the night before. This is how I live and have done since a teenager, I’m now 68 and so utterly exhausted it’s ridiculous.

    I have had sleep issues for many years now. I have tried almost everything in the past to no avail. My biggest issue currently is nightly leg cramps that have me jumping out of bed and dancing around the room trying to get rid of them. My electrolytes are fine and I have even been supplementing with extra magnesium due to the leg cramps. I wear an Oura ring to track my sleep and most nights I only manage minutes (not hours) in deep sleep. I also use a sound machine and I wear blue blocker glasses after sunset. The leg cramps I attribute to long term use of statins (which I stopped taking at least 5 years ago!) . I'm at my wits end here. Suggestions? I really enjoy all your videos and have learned so much from you. Please keep presenting!

      Yoga nidra is a game changer, try to find a good recording, doing it when suits you.
      Pemf devices, flexpulse, expensive but incredibly useful.

      get a massage for your legs. It does help, you might not have a single one after that.

      Leg cramps? Try selenium (can be very good for children's growing pains). Some find help with magnesium.

      @@wilmafoster6754 Selenium 100-200 mcg daily. I'd start with the lower dose.
      It was a pharmacist friend who recommended selenium to me for growing pains. A tiny dose for a young child, and within four nights, no more crying about hurting leggies. (Here in Sweden, we have low selenium in the soil, so local foods are low, and many people take it in supplement form.)

    Excellent explanations!
    What if I sleep 4 to 5 hrs, then I wake up for 1 hr, and then sleep for 2 more hours? Do I reach the REM stage?
    Also does the height or weight of a person requires less or more hours of sleep?

      In Illinois and I left work at 02:00am. I’ll stay up until my wife gets ready at 03:00am and out the door to her job site at 04:00am. Go to sleep for a bit and wake up at 07:00 am (Monday through Friday) to have son ready for school! I’ll eventually go back to sleep around 10:00am while trying to have my 4 year old daughter to take a nap until my wife arrives (and that’s 12:30pm) Ill wake up at 3pm to leave the house for work!

    Does i.q. have anything to do with how much sleep is required ? I recall that Nicola Tesla never got more than 15 to 20 minutes of sleep per night, and then sometimes took a nap of 15 minutes during his working period. I don't have his i.q. but I do have a 143, and I typically sleep about 3 to 4 hours nightly. I just wake up after that. I'm 80, and I usually sleep from 7:30 am to 10 or 11 am. I love doing research.
    I THOROUGHLY enjoy your videos...they are priceless !!
