I used Jescar on my five year old center console this spring for the first time, and when I pulled it out this fall, it still had a deep shine to it. I too feel this product did not fail like other products I have used in the past have done.

So true it’s amazing at blocking off oxidation

I was happy with the Jescar on my hull this year. I was in the water for 6.5 months... Most of the summer a quick wipe with a wet rag and the hull was back to looking like it was just polished. I will continue using it in the future.

It may not have the best bead but I think the new Jescar will solve that… but however Jescar is incredible at blocking off oxidation

I just started using Jescar Ultra Lock Plus ceramic blend. I definitely noticed a deeper gloss. I’m a Jescar sealant loyalists 🙂

I've use powerlock in the past. I got abou5 monthst. My buddy just use ultralock that I suggested to him and it came out fantastic.. My ceramic has dulled a bit but is holding up well. I'm going to experiment and put a layer of ultralock over my ceramic coating and see what happens. They say ceramic bonds to ceramic really well.

That’s great to hear! I would imagine you could put ultralock over your existing ceramic coating and it should revive it back to life for a while

Hi Simon I'm a new subscriber like your vids very informative...
Question I have a 2008 bass boat Don't know the history on my new to me boat. I know that it has been repaired in a couple areas & really not sure if they used gell paint or automotive on matching?.?
Boat looks good no real big or deal scratches.
My question is this in your opinion should I use a Starke elevate than after use jescar
    To finish.
Thanks in advance for any and all feedback ✌

Hey! Thanks for supporting the channel! Jescar is a great finish 👍 For buffing, if no oxidation or scratches than use elevate as a one step polish and follow with Jescar. If you think it needs more attention you could do a 3-step. Level R, elevate, and then Jescar.

Hey Simon. I’m about to get my boat wet sanded and detailed. I know the guys use Stark Hyper hold. Should I apply something over that before I put the boat in for the season. Detail is in April boat goes in a month later. Thanks

Yes, apply Starke Replenish once a month to maintain gloss and protection. Spray on wipe off with a microfiber

@@topdockpro Thanks! Quick question man , am trying to bring back to life a faded gelcoat hull so I bought Meguairs M100 Mirror Glaze Pro Speed compound. After watching your vids it seems that this will leave swirls and I will have to follow it up with another compound before final waxing if I'm not mistaken. Its a extra heavy cut. What product do I follow up with? 3M Finesse It II ?

I have been using Jescar/Menzera Powerlock for 15years. For Powerlock to stain, it was not prepped correctly. When in doubt call the manufacturer, don't make assumptions. Powerlock needs to be applied in smaller areas due to quick hazing, 15 min - 25 min max normal condition, not in heavy heat. Also Powerlock requires a 24 hour dry time prior to second coat. I usually do 2-3 coats. i have gotten over a year on the hull and 9 months on gunnels with minor touch up.

I just used Jescar ultra lock On my boat and on my car I will let you know how long it last. But I love Starke level R and elevate That was by far the best shine I have ever had on a boat. But I put Jescar ultra lock On for the finish. It's a little bit hard to take off. But nothing to worry about. Take my word I'm 70 year's old.

    • @topdockpro

A proper detail before this step is ideal. This will usually consist of a buff and polish at the minimum to restore the gelcoat prior to applying the polymer.

You still liking the jescar powerlock over the starke hyperhold? I have a little bit of hyperhold left but wondering if I should just order some jescar powerlock and keep it topped off with starke replenish? Its about time to seal the boat again and want the better longer lasting product.

I really like it! I enjoy Jescar powerlock and now with the SiO2 infused, it water beads very well. Similar to that of a ceramic coating. Does it stand the test of time? That I don’t know quite yet. I’ll give updates!
