    I just bought one like this but in grey and I'm coming from a 2015 sentra sv with 103k miles (no trans issues :D), and to be honest it blew me away, I said I wasn't going to get another nissan but with gas prices jacking up I was looking around at compact cars but when I saw this new sentra it was just crazy, they jam packed so many features at such an affordable price. So if you're looking for a nice cruise around economy car I'd for sure recommend this 👌 💯

    For what it is, I'm impressed by Nissan actually trying. I really like the design of their steering wheels. I'm hoping the new Z will get something similar with more premium materials. Did wish the Sentra had rear AC vents though.

    I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra S with over 196,000 miles on it. Never had an issue with the original CVT. I changed the fluid every 60,000 miles as required in the owner’s manual. Nissan is capable to be reliable as Toyota and Honda. You haters should learn how to read a manual and drive a car properly and you won’t have any problems long term.

    I think the Mazda3 still has my favorite interior in the segment, personally. I like the design of it better and I think I could live with the quirks since I’m pretty savvy with a control wheel for the infotainment. And I never really listen to the radio much anyway. Otherwise, wow, this seems impressive! But I think the Civic is the Accord’s infotainment system away from tying this. Personally, I’m more enthusiast/performance oriented, so for around this price, I’d rather have something like the Corolla hatch with a manual or a Veloster R-Spec, but I see how this could satisfy a lot of buyers. Can’t wait for the rest of the review!

    I was legit impressed with the interior and exterior of this car at the autoshow this year. It's a shame that the CVT makes it a complete no-go. Hopefully they bring back the SR Turbo model with the 6 speed... it could be a winner in this new model.

      The interior on the Sentra and other Nissan's is really fine. The problem is the power train with uninspired engines, and no option for an upgrade. I think the Mazda3, Kia ForteGT, Honda Civic, and Toyota Corolla 2.0 are all more compelling choices, with better power trains. A new sedan from Nissan should not be this outgunned right out of the gate.

    I'm interested in either the Sentra or Altima because of the Zero Gravity Seats, which are INCREDIBLE. Not once in either video did you guys mention these seats, what they're called or that they're only available in Nissan vehicles. I have a very bad back with several surgeries and now spinal stenosis in my lumbar and neck. I'm currently driving a Sonata and it's almost paid for and it's soooo painful to drive. I drive an Altima rental for a month last January and I was in heaven! NO PAIN! No matter what you might think of a Nissan, no one out there can compete with the Zero Gravity Seats! Look it up. They're NASA inspired. The seats were developed from research NASA did on the position your spine takes in Zero Gravity. That's why I want a Nissan.

    The Mazda infotainment system isn’t as “convoluted” as you guys make it out to be which makes me believe you didn’t actually spend proper time with that system. Having your hand in one place and spinning a wheel with buttons at your finger tips versus reaching forward and moving your hand around, balancing that and driving is some how.... simpler? Modern Nissan’s aren’t beating anyone in the mainstream segment when it comes to fit and finish and to suggest that this is the best, especially when something like the Mazda3 exists.... common...

    • @trent7080
      @trent7080 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mazda system is horrible. Very bad!

    • @MattMaranMotoring
      @MattMaranMotoring  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      At this point, I've used the system for 2 weeks between the two Mazda3s I've had. And I'll be spending another week with a CX-30 soon and using it again. A touch screen is simpler (in the systems that implement them well) because it's 1 or 2 taps and I'm done. Not 10 seconds of spinning a knob around, which is more distracting. I get the whole "favorites" list and that makes it better, but then there's still the issue of smartphone integration being more cumbersome. Most companies realize touchscreens are what people want. Even Audi, Mercedes and BMW who all fought the touchscreens for over a decade and insisted their knobs were better finally all switched to touchscreen. I suspect Mazda will do the same if they figure out the system likely hurts their sales. As for fit and finish, the Mazda3 I just had had a horrible rattle in the dashboard area, and some commenters that owned them said it was an issue for them too. This Sentra had no rattles, so in my experience, the 2020 Sentra's fit and finish is better so far. Mazda switchgear feels a little better, but that doesn't redeem it's other shortcomings.

    • @benc.5863
      @benc.5863 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d take this over the new Mazda3 any day. It looks better, the new Mazda3 has been reported to have a much worse ride than it used to, and this probably drives better judging from the complaints I’ve heard about the 6 speed automatic in the Mazda. So yeah, this modern Nissan beats Mazda, in my opinion

      JackZakowski sales numbers aren’t necessarily indicative of how good a car is. Time and time again we’ve seen objectively bad cars sell in high numbers due to effective marketing, affordability, or perceived value. The Sentra's screen has a more sensible aspect ratio.

    Nissan is concentrating on the wrong thing. They need to get reliability up there to erase from their previous failures. This is just putting make up on a pig if they haven't fixed their drive train and transmission quality issues.

      Who says they haven’t fixed the issues? This CVT transmission is different than the old ones.

    Mazda3 has the best interior in that class, for years. I just can’t see how this is the ‘best’ in class

    I think the Forte or Elantra is much much better, Nissan is terrible in every way. You guys are good, but the car sucks.

      Like I say at the end, the Forte is the closest competitor, none of the others can touch the Sentra's feature list.
