We need gangs of sassy kids stationed where Karens hang out. I had someone call the family home to speak with my dad about the family store. I told them my dad had died several years ago, and the store had closed several years before that. "No, you are wrong. I was in the store last week and talked to him." "He's my dad. You are interfering with a traffic guard, each state has its own laws, tbh that Karen should have been reported to police for her actions since she put the children at risk. The fact she couldnt tell the difference between yellow and orange can also be problematic since such colors are made up of green and red, so if she cant tell that difference, what's she like with traffic lights.

Story 2: It's impossible to overestimate humanity's penchant for pettiness. Some people just won't be satisfied until they "win" the argument and they will track down their prey until they've got their "win condition" satisfied. In this case, it was "get this lazy employee fired because she's not psychic and could know what I wanted just by staring at her."
Story 3: Yeah. In an ideal world, creeps getting grabby would be scared off by women making a scene. In many places though, the one making a scene is the one who gets punished, regardless of the reason, especially when dealing with a rich douche who thinks the entire world loves hearing about his fishing stories and gets grabby when he's not tended to hand and foot. THERE'S A REASON why he thinks that way, as he learned it's true growing up.
Story 4: It's rare, but it happens. I once worked fast food and when I asked a client in the drive through what they wanted for the drink in the happy meal, the driver shouted at me, then complained to the manager that "the shouting scared his kid." AND I GOT WRITTEN UP FOR IT, because the a-hole demanded I be fired on the spot for scaring his kid, even though there was no crying kid!

There's one story I saw on another channel where there was a Karen who had a good relationship with the employees at an electronic store. She runs into one employee in the electronic _section_ in a _different_ store, just incidentally, ya know?
Thing is, she asks the employee for help picking out something electronic, and even _after_ he tells her, and she _does_ understand, that he doesn't work there and he's busy and if she needs help from _him_ specifically, she can come in tomorrow to the store he works at. She throws a tantrum, demands that he help her "right now!" and he just leaves.
Later, that very next day, she comes into the store the employee works at, and complains to the manager about the whole thing, and when the manager tells her there's nothing he can do and the employee has no obligation to help her _when off the clock and at other stores_ the Karen leaves. To the manager and employee's surprise though, she _comes back_ with _every single thing that she had ever bought at that store_ and demanded a refund and return on the items because, here I quote "I refuse to support a store with such bad customer service!"
Eventually, with a lot of screaming and yelling from her when she was told she _can't_ get a refund on all of those items, she was escorted out by security.
It's weird, but people of a certain type, such as Karens, legitimately seem to think one or both of the following: 1. That the expectation to "help people out" is some sort of iron-clad contract. Like, they view it as the same as if you were injured, and a doctor is on sight, the expectation is that they would help you. Because you _have_ the ability to help, or at least they think you do, you are _obligated_ to help. 2. They think being an employee means that anyone who isn't, namely themselves, has the right to _make_ you help them.
Essentially, they see being helped with something by other people as a right, not a courtesy. Hence why they're called Entitled People.

An "I don't work here" from earlier today (Easter Sunday) (summary of events) -
I got off work at 11a, after having my 8 hour shift working at a grocery store. Stopped by Dollar Tree on my way home to pick up a few odds and ends for painting projects I'm working. I paint ttprg miniatures for a hobby, and while I am a beginner I have a lot of fun with it. Anyway...
I get to the check out line and as usual there's the one cashier and one stocker working. No problem. There's no line or anything. At this point I should note, I'm still in uniform, which consists of a dark green t-shirt (one of the older shirts from 2017 timeframe), blue jeans, and non-slip shoes. I also have a gray undershirt because I have a condition where my body can't regulate temperature. So it could be a warm day and I'm still wearing a hoodie. In this instance, I am wearing a gray hoodie for the mentioned reason above. Dollar Tree employees usually wear green shirts, a brighter green.
There's a little old lady at the front of the line. She's got a walker and 1 bag. She politely asks the cashier, "Could I leave my bag here while I pull my car around? I can't carry my bag and walk at the same time." She says this while indicating her walker.
Now at the grocery store where I work, this sort of thing happens all the time. And we usually will have an employee take the cart and help load customer's car. And if no one is available, we let customers leave their cart or bags near the check out and bring there car around. No issues.
Not every store is like this, I know. I'm overhearing everything while running through checklist in my head, do I need to get brushes, pick up paper towels, did I need to grab anything else. Then I hear this exchange.
    Cash - cashier (employee)
    S - stocker (employee)
    OL - Old Lady
    Me - me
Cash: Absolutelt not. You figure it out. It's not my job to help you to your car.
Remember OL asked if she could leave her stuff inside and bring her car around to the front then grab her bag. Not asking employees to help her out to her car.
I snap to attention because of the noise. Even pulling my earbud out to hear better. Then I feel a rough jab at my left shoulder. So I turn to see what was up.
S: You need to help that lady out to her car. Cash is busy at the register. And I'm stocking shelves. *she proceeds to grab my items off the belt and throw them into a go back cart* And don't even think about shopping on the clock.
I mentally sigh. "I don't work here." *pointing at the grocery store name and logo on my shirt* "And don't touch me ever again."
My gaze does narrow at this point. As I hate being touched, even by people who I know or am close to. Trauma from childhood. S immediately starts to back pedal but doesn't offer an apology. She throws my stuff back on the belt, breaking one the glass vases I was buying for my mom. I shake my head and grab the items then drop them in the go back cart. "Hey, you forgot these." I point down at the items and walk outside.
I didn't feel much like shopping at that location anymore. I see OL struggling with her bag and trying to walk to her car. And me being how my single mom raised me, walk over and ask if she'd like assistance to her car.
Me: Excuse me, ma'am, would you like some assistance?
OL: Oh, no, no, it's alright. I already caused enough trouble.
She says this while still trying to carry her bag.
Me: Ma'am, I insist. *I offer out my left arm to take her bag*
OL: Oh thank you. *carefully hands me her bag, which I carefully take and carry with both hands*
We're talking as we walk to her car. And she happens to see my shirt and grocery store name. She asks me which one I work at as there's four locations in town. I tell her and ask her which car was her's.
We get to her car and I get her bag situated in the backseat before turning to leave.
    OL: Wait.
Me: *I pause and turn to face her again.* Yes, ma'am?
OL proceeded to try to hand me a $5 for helping her. I decline and wish a great rest of the day and happy easter. She continued to try to give me the $5 to which I declined again and told her "If my mother was shopping and needed help, I would someone would help her." And that was just how I was raised. Help others if you can and it doesn't put you in harm.
I go to my car and get in. Watching to ensure OL was good to go. After she pulled out from the parking lot, I went over to a nearby game store and browsed ttrpg minis.

I noticed the underlying theme in the majority of these stories is that it was women who were obviously taught to be too polite even when they were uncomfortable. The old man who sat too close to the university student and just grabbed her arm when she stood up to leave and pulled her back down. All she had to do was snatch her arm back and draw attention to the situation. But no she allowed herself to be manhandled. Seriously women need to stop being polite because this is what makes them easy targets. You can be respectful without allowing people to treat you like property.

On one hand, I agree, but you also have to understand that sometimes when women stand up for ourselves, we get physically assaulted by an angry man. There's a fine line we try to balance on, between defending ourselves and trying not to provoke violence by having the "audacity" to say no. In this case, I think OP should have screamed something like "LET GO OF ME!" which might have brought other people running over to help.

I think you're reading too much into it. This just reads like another case of an entitled parent expecting everyone to bend over backwards for, cater to, put them on a pedestal and Grant them special privileges solely because they made the life choice of having a child. I've known people like this and they think everyone should bow down and kiss their butt just because they have kids. They're absolutely miserable with the life choice they made and envy anyone who still has the freedom, the money and the time to themselves because they didn't have kids.
If that isn't the case, then it might just be another instance of a stuck-up, holier than thou Karen trying to police the actions of others. Second Story: So the lady stalked op, manager should have said “and we don’t accept customers who stalk our staff, it would be wise you don’t come back because we will get police involved, if you do” Plus never show you work badges to people like that.
Third Story: get police involved, because the guy assaulted her, plus it sounds he was creeping on her. So definitely get police involved. I would have slapped him if I were op in this situation.
Fourth Story: my question is, why did that lady bring her baby into a pub last time I checked, minors are not supposed to be in pubs. Reminds when parents bring in a sleeping baby to a gym or a theme park. Don’t bring a baby where there is going to be a lot of noise.
Fifth Story: what an absolute idiot that lady was acting like a spoilt toddler by knocking things off the shelves like that. Someone should’ve told her “act your age not your shoe size!”

Last store: I can guarantee you, if I were the manager in that situation, I'd have gone full rage mode and told Karen "Shut up and get out before I throw you out myself!" or something along those lines. Either that or go the comedy route and ask her why OP doesn't have a pot on his head.

IDK but I'm pretty sure if you assault either a person on a construction crew or a crosswalk there's going to be major consequences I particularly think over $1,000 fine at most and jail time at worst if it's a serious assault that results in a person dying.

Story 5: the thing is they are so confident they are in the right and so high on their own self righteousness to ever even entertain the thought that they could ever be arrested, that's why they can't just leave with their tail between their legs and go somewhere and lick their wounds they have to double or triple down by destroying store displays. Bc god forbid they ever admit they are wrong and have to do the walk of shame so they make more of a scene in order to save face. It really is astounding just how many toddlers are walking around disguised as fully grown adults. 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

When Karen said she’d never been there but she was gonna make reservations and now she won’t bc she never wants to eat there, I’m positive I wouldn’t have been able to hold back from saying “thank god” and making sure she heard me. And I’m not insulting a customer, because she’s made it damn clear she isn’t one!

S4: If theres one thing I cant stand is kids in a pub, specially if babies are crying. I, and I would imagine, pretty much everybody else goes there for relaxation and a few drinks with friends, maybe a nice meal in peace, not to listen to somebody's kids playing up. It's SOOOOO fucking annoying, it actually makes my inner 'death stare' come out. Then off course when you live next to a daycare centre who do NOT teach the kids not to scream that high pitched blood curdling scream, the last thing you want to hear is more of the same if on a rare time you go to a pub. It's so selfish to others to bring babies/kids to a pub just because they cant get a sitter...STAY HOME THEN unless you do!!!! It's ok if your kids actually behave themselves, but lets face it,they dont. They get bored and then the bullshit starts. Now some of the pubs now have actually put in play areas for the kids, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! Stop doing that as well!!! These are adult venues, not areas for children. They are supposed to be the place to GET AWAY from them, not to have to watch what you say, or how loud you say it in case you wake up the sleeping babies or teach the kids new words. Then you get the parents who just let their kids carry on running around the place or cry and do nothing about it. If your baby starts to cry, GO OUTSIDE WITH IT UNTIL ITS STFU!!!! and if you cant control your kids if they are running around the pub, GO HOME!!!!

@@JamesDavy2009 A lot of rules and regulations these days I guess, its both good and bad, but still shouldnt bring kids and babies to the pubs. Theres normally friends or family that will help out, and sometimes they dont. The luck of the draw for those ones. It's not like it used to be that for sure.

Can help you with the color-blind question: people who are color-blind don't have problems with yellow and orange. With the exception of about .01% of all colorblind people who actually see b/w, the majority of color-blind people (who are predominantly MALE) have issues with red and green, moving into the blue spectrum. Yellow and orange are clear.

I mean, good on her for redirecting her complaints once she figured it out, but still, seems a bit crummy for the situation.
    Edit:

    NVM, forgot that part.
    Edit #2:
    4:34
Oof, forgot about that too. I doubt that's the case though considering she ran away like the kid had threatened her or something, but hopefully if she is legitimately colorblind, she's nice about mentioning it to the principal if she goes forward with that).
