i had a much friendlier example of i don't work here the other day, well more of a ''ah, you don't work here'', i was in Poundland getting some coke and mint imperials when an elderly lady approached me, about to ask a question before realizing i didn't work here and apologized, always keen to help if i could, i asked what she needed which was bread but i didn't know where it was so apologized. As I was paying for my items, i saw the lady nearby and asked the cashier if she'd ask for help which she hadn't so i asked on her behalf if they sold bread and learnt they didn't so before heading home, i went over to the lady and told her they didn't sell bread to which she thanked me and said she would go to another store, oh if only there were more people like this, mind you we wouldn't be able to hear these stories
I also have one, I accidently thought a person worked at a store. I asked where an item is. She said, "I don't work here." I apologized and found a person who works there. I was polite, and she was helpful. Not an amazing story I know. :)
I'm not military, but even I know enough to know that your spouse's rank is not your own. If you try to use your spouse's rank to push around people further down the chain of command, it can actually reflect poorly on your spouse when it comes time for promotion. Not only could they be denied promotion, but they can even be disciplined for your own actions. I honestly think that spouses of military personnel should be given pamphlets about what they can and cannot do as the spouse of someone in the military, and how it can affect their spouse's career.
There are people in the military assigned as ",Ombudsman" whose job is to help teach new military spouses the rules and regulations, how to act, what they can and cannot do. I guess Rabid Karen sat out that class.
@@lancerevell5979 Either that, or they're entitlement and sense of self-importance is just so strong that they think they don't need to learn those lessons.

Like seriously how dare you speak your native language while in America and how dare you actually speak English while in your native country. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't
Story 6: Hey, plenty of people like to go to any restaurant while nicely dressed. Doesn't mean they're workers. Maybe don't smack people's backs, because nobody likes it
If you don’t press charges on these people that grab strangers in stores, then you’re the reason the next person gets hurt. You have to press charges on these people for them to learn anything.
I don't know much about pressing charges but i will assume it may cost money to do? Some people dont have the luxury of affording something like especially with economy how it is
Regarding story 4, it amazes me how people are so hell bent on defending bullies and punishing those who stand up for themselves. No wonder Karens exist, we made them. Let us be proud of our creations.
OP needed to call the store back and tell him what happened. Also best way to get back at Karen is saying to them is like apparently you're blind because you don't know what a blind person looks like.
Story 2: as someone with autism, i sympathize with this. this would be insanely nerve-wracking to most of us, and the stress would manifest in a variety of ways. I'm just glad you managed to still collect your groceries, and I'm sorry that happened to you.
I Love the rare stories where a Karen is turned into a good person either through tough circumstances. Or kindness. My friends grandmother was essentially a Karen. before she passed I slowly broke through to her in her final months and we became friends. I’ve Always loved the elderly and kids. Such misunderstood or overlooked group of people. Either being seen to not be able to comprehend the world at that time or anymore. I just hope if I live to be that old karma comes back to have someone as kind as me around to have around till my final days.
i understand the op in the second story as i have autism myself if you run across someone in public who has autism do take your time interacting with them also do be understanding and kind rather than be someone who is insensitive towards people who have autism
I ALWAYS ask, "Do you work here?" In my most pleasant voice, before I ask anything else. Is that so hard? Being polite would solve half the worlds problems, I swear.
After Karen got put in her place the Vet, I would have been clapping and saying, "BRAVO! BRAVO!" :P If I could do that whistle that some people can do, I would have been doing that too!
Seriously, it should be put into law that disrespecting and assaulting a service worker should be punished with X months/years doing service work or jail. No bail whatsoever.
Sometimes I wish I could encounter people like this just so I can let out my inner thoughts and emotions I get while listening to these stories. Then again, I'm not good with confrontation so maybe not. Btw, this is my favorite subreddit and DarkFluff is in my top 3 to listen to right next to rSlash.
Story 3: I really hate it when Karens pull rank when said rank doesn't belong to them it's like a Parasite trying to assert dominance pretending that they own a shark's fangs just because they're latched on to it
Likely she meant Article 15, "Nonjudicial Punishment". I was once, in my Navy hitch onboard ship, threatened with an Article 15 for an offense I didn't do. I demanded Captain's Mast instead, which is judicial, meaning potentially career ending if I lost. I won. 😅
I loved the one story where a dependa demanded they be addressed by their husbands rank and be saluted. So a guard at the gate wouldn't and she got pissy. So being the ever smartass E-4, he saluted the sticker on their car.
I have a type of PTSD. I do NOT handle getting touched by strangers very well. Especially when it's violent. I will 100% defend myself. = NEVER touch strangers!
I was in a store with my friend. We were wearing our coats. A Karen came up and started shouting at us to help her. We just looked at her and then said in unison “we don’t work here”. Fortunately she didn’t escalate too much. So what is with these idiot Karen’s. Do they think employees run around with coats on? Very weird.
I have mistaken customers for employees before as well, but after I ask them for assistance and they reply with "I don't work here" I do what normal people do and say "opps I'm sorry". What is not normal is insisting that they really are employees and get up in their faces about it. Seriously what is wrong with people? Even if it were an employee it's unacceptable behavior.
I will say you also don't need to necessarily be tall or burly to net a reaction from a Karen. Several, several years ago when I was with my ex and we both on a course together, we were tasked with completing a set of paperwork. FIVE TIMES I told the tutor in charge my ex had dyslexia and would need some help, FIVE TIMES and she offered no guidance, no one who could help him figure it out so instead I was helping him at which point she started screaming at me for doing so. Generally I'm a very quiet, reserved person but her attitude that day absolutely p*ssed me off and I ended up laying into over her lack of communication, her disregard for others then I stormed out. Apparently the silence was deafening once I left because they'd never seen this reserved persona drop so suddenly and she got reamed by the class. I rarely lash out but that woman deserved everything I threw back at her so yes sometimes the more dangerous souls are the ones that come in at 5'4" and are softly spoken. It's wise not to push us too far 😅
😂😂😂 My darling husband is the quintessential 'big, scary dude. 22-year Navy veteran, biker, 6'7" and 375#. Intensely protective of me. Size 17 ring finger. While I also never present myself as a delicate house flower of womanhood, I know if it came down to it, he'd have my six.
The Captain’s wife story was crazy. A lot of junior officer’s wives think they are their husband’s rank and it usually does not work out at all. The wife’s husband usually ends up in the Commanding Officer’s office getting a Royal a** chewing and being threatened with being demoted or kicked out of service.
Also, I'd like to think that the Manager didn't want to get in trouble for banning someone just because they defended their Wife from another customer.
As someone who's had an experience as being mistaken for an employee and had to react, I yelled in their face after already telling them once that I was not an employee and then had to point out I was wearing a red Volcom shirt "not a f**king target shirt." but I'm also someone like the drill Sargeant in the video. I've always been told I'm extremely intimidating when I get very upset and voice my side. That Karen had a look of absolute fear in her eyes too. I entirely understand that drill Sargeants view, but I am absolutely someone who as long as someone is polite I'll absolutely help you grab something as I'm 6'3". Even a few times I saw what I wanted was only on the very top shelf and someone in the aisle was under the same circumstances and watched me grab something from the top shelf and I heard, "Hey, I know you don't work here but could you grab this for me." and I've gotten into the habit of a little giggles and saying, "Yes, I will. I'm glad I can help." I love the experience of a stranger being very polite and asking for help. I'd love to help. Almost dropped a box of spaghetti on an old lady once and I think she just about had a heart attack on me. I was grabbing 2 boxes for her and didn't see or notice the third further back, it fell as I grabbed the two and I caught it maybe a foot before it hit her in the face. She was wonderful and thanked me profusely and I apologized for almost dropping that one box on her and thanked her for the opportunity to assist her as I love helping people who are polite.
K: You swore to serve your country, but you won't serve me? You'll regret this! my husband is a Second General in the Army Navy Marine Air Force! Drill Instructor: *Ripping the "new recruit" a new one* K: *Terrified silence*
That story was almost too perfect. I love it. The absolute pinnacle would be if some Karen managed to piss off a gang of Marine Corps Drill Instructors on their day off. Who then immediately go completely nuclear on her, and yell at her from four inches away from four different directions. And firing a constant multidirectional barrage of „What the F is your problem?! Face me when you speak! Don’t F-ing move! Don’t you have a problem? I can’t hear you!!! Stop yelling at me, you make my ears bleed! Turn right! NO, TURN RIGHT!!! Respooooond! AAAAAH! What is your name? What are you buying? Stop talking and shut up! Pick up a bag! Put your shit in there! Don’t touch the bag! What the hell is your problem?!“ A 2 minute session should do the trick and leave her sobbing and shellshocked enough to shut up for the rest of the day. And then suddenly the DIs fall silent and just go about their day as if nothing ever happened - ignoring her so hard she doubts her own existence.
Only had one time of someone thinking I was an employee and that was because the restroom was next to the back of the store where the employee only spot was. Told them I wasn't an employee and we both just laughed.
Story 3 - I think it's funny' that Karen thought a soldier would be intimidated by the word "captain". A Navy captain is equivalent to a full colonel, but in all the other branches of service, a captain is only a junior officer.
The funny thing is that I'm brazilian and can't speak spanish (many tourist thinks that we speak spanish here, not portuguese). If I was OP, I would speak with the lady in english too

i had a much friendlier example of i don't work here the other day, well more of a ''ah, you don't work here'', i was in Poundland getting some coke and mint imperials when an elderly lady approached me, about to ask a question before realizing i didn't work here and apologized, always keen to help if i could, i asked what she needed which was bread but i didn't know where it was so apologized.
Honestly, the logic with that Karen is that you're only allowed to speak the language from the country your in. Or something like that
It's an odd reversal of the normal "Speak English" so many tourists say.
Karen looked like she wanted to brag about how "good" her own Spanish was.
@@condorboss3339 If a Karen would say that to me in America i would respond = Speak native American then.
@@Some_Guy_6 😆
The logic of Karen is "I need something to bitch about."
People hitting/grabbing and yelling at people is awful. They're going to FOFA when they meet someone that hits back.
YES!
THAT'S SCARY!
Story 5... why didn't any employee come running to help? Not surprised that they never returned with the staff like that.
It must have been so tempting to tell her exactly where to go...
Don’t be this guy 13:37 lol
Story 2: They should at least make T-shirts "NOT AN EMPLOYEE" on them, because this happens too often. And yeah, I know OP was young, overwhelmed and terrified, but she should have pressed charges. Hell, the store had enough reason to ban Karen from what everyone saw! Get the CCTV footage to the police ASAP and make sure they know who to look out for.
It's easy to say that when you're not panicking. When in a panic you just want to be safe. Reminder hindsight is 20/20
@@MrPsych77 Except the manager asked AFTER the incident was OVER, not during the panic phase.
@@protoborgnot everyone can process emotions and panic as easily as others and when you are stressed it's not as easy to remember everything. She's young and scared, give her a break and get off your high horse. You have the luxury of listening to this with the benefit of hindsight.
Story 1: wow I've seen videos of Karens going nuts on people for not speaking English in America but to insist that while they are in a different country to speak in the language they don't understand.
Like seriously how dare you speak your native language while in America and how dare you actually speak English while in your native country. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't
Ray. When someone asks you if you want to press charges. YOU SAY YES!
Half the time, they still don't anyways.
I think you're over estimating Karens' ability to learn.
That’s kind of a tall order for someone suffering an autism-related stress breakdown, though.
If a rabid Karen assaults me, I WILL defend myself accordingly. And I WILL press charges. 😡
I don't know much about pressing charges but i will assume it may cost money to do? Some people dont have the luxury of affording something like especially with economy how it is
Yay! Another one! Thank you for existing boys!!!
“Do your job and tell me where I need to go!”
H3ll.
note to self....find an army sergeant to follow me around and deal with karens
Story 2: Touching someone unwelcomingly is the basic definition of Battery.
8:18 yelling‘Stranger, Danger!!’ Is not just for kid.
2:13 "... tell me where I need to go!" Show of hands, please: How many here would be able to resist the temptation?
The I hope the rest of your day is as wonderful as you are was perfection 😂
I ALWAYS ask, "Do you work here?" In my most pleasant voice, before I ask anything else. Is that so hard? Being polite would solve half the worlds problems, I swear.
I've heard the title story before and let's just say, justice is served brilliantly.
After Karen got put in her place the Vet, I would have been clapping and saying, "BRAVO! BRAVO!" :P If I could do that whistle that some people can do, I would have been doing that too!
I don't need a big scary dude. I'm crazy and don't mind letting it out!
Seriously, it should be put into law that disrespecting and assaulting a service worker should be punished with X months/years doing service work or jail. No bail whatsoever.
I have done it. I have successfully gone through the entirety of the channel’s video uploads. Every single one of them. It took… a while…
Sometimes I wish I could encounter people like this just so I can let out my inner thoughts and emotions I get while listening to these stories. Then again, I'm not good with confrontation so maybe not. Btw, this is my favorite subreddit and DarkFluff is in my top 3 to listen to right next to rSlash.
Story 3: I really hate it when Karens pull rank when said rank doesn't belong to them
it's like a Parasite trying to assert dominance pretending that they own a shark's fangs just because they're latched on to it
Last story: someone hits my back, instinct decrees I fullswing backhand.
The first Karen was a type which demand you to speak the language of the country you were in 😂
Bruh, an 0-3's wife trying to threaten civillians with an article is the dumbest thing I've ever heard
Especially if she really did threaten that OP with Article *13.* Because I just looked it up, and Article 13 is about pre-trial punishment.
@@lancerevell5979Captain’s mast IS article 15.
Very weird.
Story 3 - I was hoping that OP ‘s husband would show up and lay into Karen and report to her husband’s higher rank.
I'm Canadian with Norwegian, Scottish, English and a little bit of Swedish ancestry.😊🇨🇦
I think everyone should wear shirts saying and i quote "I don't work here Karen" !
Hello friends and remember use the why? Defense against Karen’s and always press charges otherwise they will never learn
Did anyone check the floor after the army guy yelled at Karen, she may have peed herself? CLEAN UP IN AISLE 3? 😂😂
For clarification, it’s an Article 15. Non-judicial punishment. They can be Company Grade or Field Grade.
1st story. Lady didn't know that Brazil is Portuguese and not Spanish.
We can't expect that a Karen, a self-centered and self-absorbed ahole, knows about other places on Earth.
EVERY SINGLE KAREN in this episode should have been arrested and had charges pressed - and none of them were!
"You are not American you are Latino"
*Puerto Rico has entered the chat*
Story 4-if I was that old woman(which I am) I would have told the guy 'don't apologize that was f**king awesome'.
Story 4: That manager needs some sense Will Smith'd into him. Threatening to ban someone for defending his wife is beyond stoopid.
K: You swore to serve your country, but you won't serve me? You'll regret this! my husband is a Second General in the Army Navy Marine Air Force!
Drill Instructor: *Ripping the "new recruit" a new one*
K: *Terrified silence*
The military captain wife one... Thats why a lot of women marry military men. They think it comes with a bunch of imaginary perks.
You better tell me where to go!! Well tell her in broken Spanish "You go to hell "!
What the hell is your problem?!“
A 2 minute session should do the trick and leave her sobbing and shellshocked enough to shut up for the rest of the day.
Karen: "Don't you lie to me!" Also Karen: Tells more lies than Pinocchio to get person in trouble because they didn't get help.
Story 3 - I think it's funny' that Karen thought a soldier would be intimidated by the word "captain". A Navy captain is equivalent to a full colonel, but in all the other branches of service, a captain is only a junior officer.
Lay off the New Balance, my daughter works there as a project manager and she’s a Patriot! 😀
Story 5: Plot twist, the Karen was blind too, considering she didn't see the sunglasses and the service dog.
Story number for Karen Mess with a woman when her army husband is next to her you just might end up getting a face full of drill sergeant🤣🤣🤣
Happy Friday everyone. I hope that you have a great day. Thank you for this video. I appreciate your work.
Story one: She wanted directions, op should have told her where to go - if you get my drift.
The funny thing is that I'm brazilian and can't speak spanish (many tourist thinks that we speak spanish here, not portuguese). If I was OP, I would speak with the lady in english too
I was working at a dental office for many years as a dental assistant and one of the younger dentist has a love for South Americans and always thought that her secretary was from South America and I asked him once why he though that and he said she was born in Portugal and that is in South America. I had to tell him that no, Portugal ins in Europe. Brazil is in South America but you are correct in saying that those people's language is not Spanish like some people seem to think. he was stock at watching his secretary's face as she laugh but happy he got something correct
@@ElCid48 OMG! I remember the movie Stigmata where the scene in Brazil has people speaking Spanish on the street. Anyeay, there was a point where we were part of the territory of Portugal, back in 1500. Lol.
Story 3: And that's how Karen lost her commercy privileges
Should have gotten the captain's wife and reported the incident to your base commander.
People straight up assaulting people and thinking it's okay because they think they work somewhere is some bullshit
