So, again, time gaps remaining the same going into the TT, I think what happens is that Powless jumps Fuglsang and Higuita, but gets jumped by Kung, who takes second behind Thomas. So, I see I ticked off the TH-cam overlords and mentioned a certain cold-like sickness and pointed out that cycling should stop freaking out about it. I got a reply that a cold would stop a rider from continuing in a race and that this was way more severe because more people dropped out. I pointed out that riders do races with colds all the time, like Basso in the 2005 Giro (won a few stages post cold) and Froome in the Tour 2015 (won the race with a cold). Then I pointed out that more people were pulled from this race due the freak out, not due to more people catching it. Then he pointed out that this isn't "long ago" (7 and 17 years ago were "long ago"?) and they'd lose power. Yes, that's true they'd lose power, but it's not the case that they need to freak out about it. Then he pointed out that the teams feared more of their riders would get it (the comment cuts off during that sentence). Well, OK, maybe, but they were already exposed, so this would do little. The coof presents as a cold now, and prior coofs were always called colds before this one. It's time to quit freaking out.
