As a American, i will always find this scene really touching. The soundtrack for the Japanese Pacific States scene was spot on, it really did fit with the atmosphere and environment about him, as we get a good shot at the JPS banner. I love how the music slowly went intense as it zoomed into him as he slowly meditates, and when he meditated to our world, you can see that everything became so vibrant and loud, and jazz music started to play, you can notice that the vibe feels so different.

The dying out of racism was slow and long proccess that begun with the start of 20th century and by the time you get to 1962 in the zone that in the show's reality is under japanese occupation, in our reality racism there has mostly died out. I watched this series this week, after watching it the first time back in 2017/18...
It's amazing how different it feels to watch this after reading the book, understanding nothing at all then travelling for a while, have a couple of psychedelic experiences and coming back to watch it... My God, this series is ABSOLUTELY GOLD, A MUST SEE!
It's not only about Nazis, Japanese and the vanquished... It is about time travel, spirituality, parallel worlds, esotericism, concepts of flow of time, impermanence, change and so much more.
Every detail is amazingly brought to life, how well they worked with these concepts which for now seem so out of this world for most people.
Reflecting on this scene, Tagomi is one of the few Bright Sparks of Hope and Light in a world consumed by Evil and Death. He's the Higher Human Consciousness made true. A sharp sword ready to be unsheathed and used upon his enemies and of those who come close to him... In contrast to his other version.
    Be like Tagomi.
If you watch this series just to see battleships, beautiful uniforms (yes, the uniforms both Japanese and Nazi have class), betrayal and the human nature at its worse and not to realise the depth of this show, you'll miss a great deal!

One thing I realised about the show is that Juliana and Tagomi go to different worlds. As in the show it’s states that the person in that world has to die before their alt-world other can enter that universe.
So the on Tagomi goes to is different from the one Juliana goes to as in that world she is alive and married to Tagomi’s son (unless she somehow dies in that world-as morbid as that is) it makes me wonder, one of the worlds they went to could have been one where the US loses the Cold War to the Soviets and the other is our timeline.

And the life around ! Much better than their real life in the show ! I’m damn glad the allies won the war and the best part is that most of the axis countries are now our allies ! This scene made me want to paint the walls of my house in red and white stripes and the roof in blue with white stars on it ! And bang star spangled banner by sandi patty on speakers !

Well in some sense, Post-war Japan had managed to conquer the world without even firing a single shot. Japan's soft power strategy was a great success story. Its not that easy for a country that started a war and caused so much death and destruction, To go from the most feared and hated to the most loved and admired. Even countries that historically suffered in the hands of the Japanese Empire cant help but admire and respect Japanese culture. So banzai ??? I guess.
