I have the whole series readily available. I have 1-4 on NES, 1-3 on GB, 1-3 on my phone, 1-3 on Switch, 4-6 on DS, 7 on both PS1 and 3DS, 8 on PS2 and 3DS, 9 on DS, and 11 on Switch. I'm perfectly satisfied. Also, the only one that was kind of expensive was 6 on DS, which I paid around $90 for. The rest were relatively cheap on Amazon and eBay.
Correct but if you don't MIND import games IE NOT in English the Switch collection of DQ1 to 3 ARE playable on the PS4 but ONLY via a JAPANESE ONLY PSN account.
The original trilogy remakes aren't coming to ps4 but they will be on switch the sales for ps4 versions of games have fallen so sadly it won't be on there
Already set to buy 1-3 again for the... Err... How many times now? I can't even remember how many times I've purchased those three. NES, SNES (import) GBC, Switch. Is that all of them? Can't remember. When a game does come out, buy it. It's the only chance we have of demonstrating there's a market and getting regular releases. I've bought 11 3 frikkin' times. Original on PC, on Switch, and then again on PC for the Definitive there. I've been in the fight since the 90s when we didn't get 5.
I think they really want to do that now. And that is why they are doing 1-3 HD-2D, because they already released those on Switch. Why would they do it again, if not to begin a trend?
@nightwish1453 I agree, but those have been around for so long that I think it is time to make new versions. Just because Square Enix seems to hate the original Final Fantasy VII does not means that Yuji Horii has to follow suit. And as painful as it may be, maybe it would be better if the series died with Horii himself...
@@TheBrazilRules well remake ff7 exceeds far beyond that of the Dq remakes including these new ones to the point it feels like a reimagined/sequel to the original, I won’t say they hate ff7 in fact square seem rather competent in archiving ff7-ff12 but the remake feels like an enormous cash cow and that’s it. The ds remakes of dq just aged like fine wine far better then the likes of some other ff remakes. Wouldn’t be bad to remake them but if enix wants to not go full in and instead focus on new stuff this is a fine alternative that I don’t think many complain about it’s not even outdated they still play well years later and probably the least needed to be altered when ported to something else
@nightwish1453 That Is what I meant by hating it. They make a point of changing it. They could give us a faithful FF7 with the same exploration of FF7R, but they decided to change EVERYTHING from the combat to the story. How dumb it is that the turn based game had instantaneous spell casting, and the real time one puts a cast time just so enemies interrupt you? I felt really offended playing the original yesterday and realizing MP is only spent AFTER the spell is cast, while in Remake, it is spent first just so you can waste your MP.
I would even settle for 7&8 ports

I agree 100% I only have a PS4 and it only has DQ 11 until the remakes come out in November. I want to play 8 because everyone says it's great.

DQ 3 has at least 4 versions so yes NES + the SNES remake Japan only GBC and the Switch/IOS version this remake will be the 5th version of it.

honestly the ds/mobile versions of zenithia are still pretty solid for what they are so a simple port would be satisfactory
