I forgot to mention this in my video but if you want some more Dragon Quest from me, watch The Random Encounter Podcast Episode 77! It's a Dragon Quest special episode featuring Sackchief and Geekdom101! th-cam.com/users/liveNjZvZtFRXDA?si=Tl2Qt65-RLp8ZwWB
Superb video but i do have one critique: your voice is too low to hear that i have to up the volume to max. Solution would either be to raise the voice a little or get a new mic with HD audio. Love you guys but i need to get this critique out so that better videos would be produced
Thanks for watching! I’m trying to figure out why my audio is always low. I have the DJI Mic 2 and I increased the volume on my receiver but it still seems to come out the same. I will definitely try to figure this out soon.
Played through most the series this year. Did 1-5 8 and 11. All gems. 5 is the GOAT. Emulate a patched English Ps2 version for the orchestral track. So damn good.
I'm a new fan even though I'm not totally new to the franchise thanks to The Adventure of Dai anime and manga that is loosely connected to DQIII and The Emblem of Roto manga that is STRONGLY connected to DQIII and now that DQIII is coming as a remake it's my time to really be a fan. I used to be into Final Fantasy but as a classic JRPG fan the series is now dead to me. My true home have always been Dragon Quest but it took me a lot of time to become aware of it. I even love Dragon Ball too and it was my destiny to come into Drago Quest sooner or later and this is the time, a new youth for the series even in the west. My JRPG desire is taken care of by ATLUS since 2018 and I love the angelic and esotheric themes of Shin Megami Tensei and I'm playing all the series but I couldn't resist to the call of Dragon Quest anymore, it's the icon of the very idea of JRPG. I've just finished Dragon Quest Treasures and started DQ XI. The whole Roto saga is somewhat connected and I wanna live it all with the renakes and the spin-offs, I have to read The Emblem of Roto 2, the sequel, in between DQ III and DQ I and I want all the remakes and remasters for the whole series not only the Roto trilogy and with add-on contents that help creating a more cohesive timeline and connection between games..... I could just say I hate the fact that the English localization changes all the names not only Roto into Erdrick but also Camus into Erik, even places like Delcadaar becoming Heliodor... I really don't know why but outside of it, what a wonderful series to be part of! ❤
I would say if you're getting to dragon quest and you do start with 11 play 2d mode as it will give you the actual feel of the game series. 3d mode is a different feel that's not really offered in the previous games. I personally started with the ps1 version of 7 and fell in love with the series. I was really excited about dq3 HD 2d remake but the 60$ price tag is a real put off for a 30 year old game, especially for new players.
Dragon Quest 3 is one of the best games and rpgs of all time and most influential RPG ever made outside of 1 next to it. It's easily the best dragon quest game ever made in my opinion along with many others out there right next to dragon quest 5. It's way better still than both 11 and 8 as well. DQ 3 and DQ 5 stand neck and neck as some of the best jrpgs and rpgs ever made and debatable which one is better. In my opinion definitely 3 still is and this remake coming out showing its insane legacy will show why. DQ 11 is also a masterpiece and one of the best rpgs ever right after them for sure and 8 I put in 4th place as being amazing after those.
DQ3 is my favourite RPG ever, but I'd also like to defend DQ2 as the most underrated game ever, modern RPG fans just don't get what makes it so special... It's the freedom that game gives you to tackle it your own way, at your own pace, while not holding your hand through ANY of it! It just needs a few QoL upgrades and it'd be just as good as DQ3, well, almost, having a custom party is still nicer...
I played DQ2 and the Switch last year after playing in on the Game Boy Color as a kid. That version was too hard, I maxed out my party's levels and the endgame monsters still kicked their collective butts. The Switch version in addition to allowing me to save anywhere increased the level cap so I was able to get strong enough to beat the game. I definitely love the Switch version, and feel that until the HD2D version is released is the definitive version of the game turning a flawed game into an underrated gem.
I've played some of the DQ games, but I'm looking forward to the DQ 3 remake. DQ 11 was a great game, and I know 3 is one of the most highly regarded games.

@@therandomencounterok good cuz i love your videos the problem is the audio and I don’t wanna hurt my poor ear drums lol. Anyway great video
Great video! I’ve been a longtime Dragon Quest fan and so happy that we’re getting HD-2D remakes of the Erdrick Trilogy
Thanks for watching!
I love all the different accents in DQ and loved that the main character's family in XI were scottish 😂

I can’t tell if the camera is crooked, or the amiibo in the wall are crooked, but something is off and it’s bothering me.
My Amiibo's were crooked. Sorry about that! Thanks for watching!
I started in 2017 with DQ1, and played through the entire series in numerical order. Top three games, in order, are DQ3, DQ11, and DQ5.
All good choices! You must be pretty hyped for DQ3HD2D! Thanks for watching!
It's always time to play Dragon Quest, it's the perfect series

I also can’t wait to retackle DQ2 in DQ2 HD2D! I’m sure they will add those QoL upgrades! Thanks for watching!

@@Dinobolt1 I just beat it on NES a few days ago lol
It made me clamour for the GBC version...
Need 8 available on ps store. I would pay 59 for it even without hd remake
I've played some of the DQ games, but I'm looking forward to the DQ 3 remake. DQ 11 was a great game, and I know 3 is one of the most highly regarded games.
Trust me, it’s definitely one of the best rpgs ever made. You won’t be disappointed! Thanks for watching!
Just did "that mermaid quest"
BUT DQ 7 is TOO long even the 3DS version took me OVER 200 HOURS.
Yea, that’s still a fair point! Thanks for Watching!
Dragon Quest VII is a great game. It was the perfect length.
I’m one of the idiots that bought the $200 special edition
I'm hoping to pick one up as well! Thanks for watching!
Yes!!!
all platforms. my random guess is that does not include pc. sigh
Dragon Quest III HD2D is coming to PC! You can actually get it at a cheaper price through Green Man Gaming.
