Good luck with your tree. The Che tree is a great tree as it is pest free and the birds don't really bother the fruit. I got mine from Edible Landscaping too probably a dozen years ago or so. It's done well for me and produces a lot of fruit. You probably don't need the other two trees you got from the other place. Those fruit will probably be seedy. The Edible Landscaping variety sets seedless fruit on its own and needs no pollinator.

Do you know if the Che Tree can be grafted onto a mulberry root stock? Thanks

Hi, I am going to see if our plant shop here in New Zealand has them. I am interested in growing different berry trees, that are not popular.

Cool! I’d heard of this fruit before but hadn’t realized it was hardy until I saw it mentioned in another video. Looked it up online and found another Seattleite. :-)
Did you ever get any ripened fruit? I’m tempted to try it but I want to plant medlar first...

I'm giving up on this tree if it fails to fruit next year. It will go back into a pot and kept in the greenhoue year around. It will not ripen in ground here without additional heat units

It does need a male if you want seeds in your fruit. If you don't want seeds in your fruit keep away from a male.
