I ate a big bowl of those today and I must say I felt energized, positive, and healthy all day! I read they're packed with antioxidants and vitamins. I wish they were more common!

I just found a male Che tree in my front yard & after looking around my property I found several more growing behind it. They all have seeds.

I have one of these trees and it's now 15 feet tall and produces lots of berries every year. I'm in East Tennessee, growing zone 7a. I love the way this tree looks with the red berries highlighted against the green foliage- very attractive. However, as of yet, the berries have never grown to a substantial size- mostly they've been about the size of the fingernail on my little finger if that is descriptive enough. This year, I've put an appropriate number of fruit tree spikes around the tree in hopes that this will result in much larger berries. That being said, I was told that the tree really needs another cultivar nearby and that will result in a much desired increase in the size of the berries. I really want berries the size of those shown in the video!

+Ron W Oh yes- I should have mentioned that the tree I have did not come from edible landscaping. Their's seems to be a much better type.

How long it take to start yielding? Does the seedless variety require male plants for pollination?

I'm really surprised she said it's sweet. Everyone says the fruit of this species has no flavor. People generally describe it as bland, and very watery but refreshing.

I bought 3 of these trees from Edible Landscaping 6 years ago they look nothing like this tree, they look more like bonsai trees still the largest one I have is about 3 ft tall the other two are about 2 ft tall and they are six years old!! they have fruit and then it just drops off every year, but last year I got lucky for some reason and got to try a few that did ripened and they were really good, but for the most part I'm very disappointed in these trees. I take good care of them , but they will not grow. The 2 are not much bigger than when I bought them. I wish I knew what was wrong with them and if anyone else was having this problem.

I have been researching this tree for a long time and it seems that people who buy the grafted tree are never very pleased with it.. this man is growing his as a bush and on their own root stock and they are not grafted … I plan to start these from seeds and thin out the males later that way I can grow them as a bush as seen here and not the common tree method

This is normal. My tree dropped the fruit around the same time. One the sixth year it held the fruit. Needs to build bigger root structure and could need more watering later in the season. Hope this help.
