The Morelia is just so damn good. It is amazing how they still seem to be one the pinnacles of leather football boots.

i used morelia 2’s for quite a bit and i sold them to a friend after i tore my acl. been looking for a replacement ever since and nothing has come close to this! that just goes to show how good this boot is!!! looks old but feels new if you know what i mean. so good.

Appreciate your reviews, Noah. I ordered Neo IV MIJ for my 18 year old son, but we returned them for Neo IV Beta MIJ. Your videos helped with sizing and understanding the overall fit and quality. We ended up going half size down from his usual. The non beta fit him really well, but he wants the modern lockdown similar to other modern boots and the shape is perfect for his foot. Hope they last!
He tore his last pair of Puma Ultra Ultimates and his Puma Future Ultimates are also nearly worn out (tearing on the instep where the upper meets the soleplate). Maybe he needs to start rotating boots...
lol, literally same happened to me - Last year I bought Puma future ultimates and it not even lasted half season, it tore in the same section like your's son's. So I started searching for best quality boots on the market and got into the Mizuno NEO IV MIJ and today I ordered them. So I hope it will last more than 1 season :D
No worries at all mate! I'm glad the reviews helped. If your son is really serious about footy (regardless of his level he's playing 4-6 times a week at least), I'd definitely suggest getting 2 pairs of the same boot so he can rotate between the two. By the time I went to Uni (18 years old), I always had at least 2-3 pairs on hand so I could rotate. Usually all the same model in different colors!
@@NoahCavanaugh thanks, Noah. He's joining the men's club team at university this fall after graduating from high school, so yes, he's a solid player. I'll tell him to cycle in some other boots. I don't know if I want to swing for another pair of MIJ Mizuno though! We'll see!

I have these and the Morelia M8 2002 remakes and I honestly can't see my self wearing anything else now. I just wish they had more colourways available with the cross stitch forefront

I got the same exact boots roughly a month ago and prior to these, my favorite was the Tiempo 9, over the Morelia Neo Beta 3s. However, THESE definitely are God Tier boots straight out of the Box…

I have 5 pairs of these Mizuno M8 and the Premium K-Leather is insane. The cross stitch is more for narrow feet. I only wear these boots. I have never worn any boots only the M8’s. GOAT boots.

i have those but in turf variation and not the most premium leather experience for me but a close second to my top, the Adler Yatagarashu.

I feel like those are probably a tad wider too because they are made for a Japan/Asian specific market, which is usually a wider last to begin with. Even the Alpha made for the Japanese market is listed as E width on elite and mij models. But it has to come from a Japanese/Asian shop.

Adler Yatagarashu!!!! Any day !!! I wore Morelia 2 MIJ. I still think Yatagarashu is softer and thinner. But I definitely would love to have this pair for sure

I have the Moreilia ii club Turf, White Fiery Coral and they look absolutely amazing colorway. Also, though synthetic leather, but surprisingly soft and leather like. I don't know how they do that!

I have both models. They were released at the same time. I bought the one like the turquoise stitching first, but in white. Bought the web-stitched ones more recently. Web-stitched ones stretch less. Webbed ones also feel like the ball traps easier. Never went back to the single direction stitched ones.
Hard to explain how good the leather feels.
Also the cross stitching ones are lighter. Probably because the other ones are older model.

How thick is the leathe? Can it be considered padded or as thin as neos?
@@khelgarironfist3301 neo leather feels kinda the same I guess. The quality is the same I think. It’s the rest of the boot that feels different. Tried the neo on recently in Osaka but I wasn’t feeling it.

After major brands dropped k-leather, their calf leather and synthetic leather cleats do not offer the same comfort and touch. Mizuno is expansive but you get what you pay for: Quality. My only complaint is their sizing is weird for me. I wear a 12.5 US but a 12 US in Mizuno. Regardless, I'm going back to Mizuno today since I just found these exact cleats on sale for $200! Let's go!

Man honestly idk if it was because I tried the Adler boots first but I actually prefer the Adler boots to the Mizuno Morelia 2. The sole plate on the Adler boots doesn’t get enough credit either

Only on SG conditions they lack the grip. The studs are just not that aggressive. Otherwise a dream boot!

Shame i wish they had more aggressive studs for fg too, would've made them my favorite. Went to Tiempos because of this which got some blades.
Is M2 leather thicker than neos though? Could it be used on shallow AG pitches? Studs seem a bit too long for that though.

It’s a toss up between these and the Yatagarasu from Adler. But really the Yata is so different from these that you kinda can’t compare them.

Mo2 is great but M8 is exceptional. Btw these M8s are quite hard to find and very very expensive especially in the blue color. I definitely would buy ones if I can find them.

I LOVE these boots. They are so good. However, there isn’t a Soft Ground version of it. What would be the best alternatives of these (full leather) for Soft Ground? I don’t like the other mizuno models
Agreed, and you can usually find a SG pair online mate! ProDirect has some every once in a while
you should try the M8 turf variant, rather than the wave cup turf. the wave cup turf is lower in quality compared to the turf M8 MIJ

Seems very cool but as a leather lover it’s seems for me that I need the leather but also some “modern” talking about the outside (for example legend 9).
But yes, mizuno is killing it. Now wanting to buy the beta 4 again but don’t know if true to size cause of the wide of my feet (the non leather part stretch too¿).

I’ve never fallen in love with the Morelia II. Think it’s a bit too padded for me. In terms of leather experiences I prefer the Adler Yatagarashu, Copa 17.1, and the Tiempo Legend VI.

I say the Diadora brasil,Mizuno morelia 2 and Adler Horenso are the three boots that are some of the most comfortable leather boots I’ve ever worn

The superleggero 2 is the most premium kleather boot you can get the whole shoe is made out of kleather and is the lightest boot you can get I own a pair

Depends what FITS you the best 😎 I fit in both and love both for different reasons. For competition, I'm going for the Neo 4 for the extra bit of performance

I would get these if I didn’t already have the Rebula Cup. The Mizuno II are cheap on eBay direct from Japan because the Yen is so weak.

How would you compare the soleplate of the Morelia II MIJ with the Neo 4 Beta? The morelia feels a bit thin for me on AG pitches, wondering if the Neo 4 has a thicker/stronger soleplate or if you've felt a difference in cushioning/comfort on the bottom of your foot between the two?
mmm not really comparable mate - very different constructions. The Neo 4s soleplate is definitely stronger/more responsive

Remmember Sambas with kandaroo leather!! Diadora Baggios had special in 99 or so, real thin n soft. Copas seem tobe the readily available reliable shoe. Thing is like predator absolute is undisputed best. If you find a pair on E-bay?? They discontinue these often fer new models. Its copas, stadios, diadora brazil, tiempos. I think availability vs longevity, gonna have em around, people buy n use!!

I have wide feet and wondering about size.
I measured my feet by cm (for JPN sizing) in socks i usually play in (26cm). Should i get exactly 26 size or go half size down and break them in? Is the half-size down advice only for US/UK/EU sizing (because nike/adidas and mizuno US sizing have half cm difference in length)?

Hey noah, two questions. 1) Will I get rollover in these boots? 2) I bought adler yatagarashu in november (the smallest number, 24.5, which was 1 full size smaller than my mercurials 25.5,) but now they are too big (I sometime have roll over and have about 4mm of deadspace in front of the boot). Should I get a 40 Eu for the morelias (25.5cm) or a 39 (25cm)? (i'm leaning more to the half size down) (to clarify, I hate deadspace in front, I would have gone half a size down in the mercurials too, but they were too small and being the mercurials mostly synthetic I didn't have any problems with lockdown that some gripsocks couldn't fix)

@NoahCavanaugh Thanks bud, I bought a pair of the black ones from Mizuno Aus in my regular US10.5 but they felt like they had a little too much space in the toe so I had to send them back, I've had this happen on a couple Adidas's also as 10/10.5 seems to be a bit of a weird zone to be in with a few brands.
I already have a pair of the NEO 3 Elites in a US10 that is near perfect, thinking maybe I gamble on the half size down with the Morelia II

Morelia II MIJ is simply the MOST PREMIUM and MOST COMFORTABLE leather boots I've worn. The TOUCH is sensational. And I've worn all sorts of boots from Tiempos and Copa to X-Flys and Yatagarashu. Now I really want to try this pair of Morelia MIJ M8!

I reckon they're a bit too long unfortunately... They're a bit padded, but still pretty thin considering the design

They'll be about the same mate, and I really would advise against getting 1/2 size down. Wait for a bit longer to find the correct size.

Both are excellent mate! Can't go wrong. Different soleplates, stitching patterns, etc.
