Thats what I call dedication. Much respect Antonio.
I’d like a video on how to spot the counterfeits
What's the discount code?
Hi Real Men Style, which Niche fragrances do you enjoy? Thanks
Do I need to be concerned with what after shave I use with what fragrance?
“I want to be discovered, not announced”
This is some solid advice when it comes to fragrances.
52 minutes?! A fragrance blockbuster, I like that!💪
Antonio, your passion for the details of fragrance never goes stale. You always seem to dive deep and add additional elements and factors to fragrances that we wouldn't typically think of
Don't say we.. It's true, this was a deep dive, but almost anyone who's been collecting seriously for 3 years or more, know 95-100% of what was discussed in this video..
@@BertRussell4711 What!? Are you trying to tell me something that I don't know? Do you think I'm not aware of how extremely subjective fragrances are and we all have our own opinions? I don't know what you're trying to convey, but, yes, yes I would consider most with of the video his opinions, but there was some factual info as well..
I’m Puerto Rican. We don’t want our fragrance to be discovered, we want people to taste it as we walk by.
Us Latinos in general are like that. and we wear mostly freshies due to the weather.
What's the point of a fragrance when no-one can smell it? What good is a light under the table
It causes headache and people like to breathe fresh air
@noimnotakpoppfpsheacy2526 if you don't wanna have a headache ,you can always move away from me or wear a mask. I am a firm believer in bathing myself in my fragrance. I pay good money for them .
Literal loco😂
I’m 44 and just getting into fragrances. My wife has always loved wearing them and I like when she does. Just bought my first selection - Creed Silver Mountain Water and loving it. Now I’m going down the rabbit hole and learning about fragrances. I’m really appreciating your videos for information - thanks so much!
I am doing the same thing. Ive been going down the tom ford route
Real men does this good.
But for other perspectives, Jeremy Fragrance did fragrances the best 3 to 6 years ago when it was his peak. His newer vids are a bit poorer in quality as it was obvious he fell into life problems. I hope he recovers, as most consider him the fragrance king.
you are a bit late to the game but again it does not matter. cardamom and amber are the notes that make male fragrances extremely attractive for women. so I suggest D&G The One EDP. It is one of the best. Other than these vanilla and cinnamon also works such as 1 Million. Since 1 Million has longer duration, it is better to use it as a clubbing fragrance (or where you know you won't get intimate right away). For intimacy D&G The One and YSL La Nuit are the best.

The rubbing makes no sense..
The liquid is mixed and the atoms of different oils are not sitting on top, middle and bottom xD
What a great example of bro science.
“Don’t rub it in” this statement made me subscribe. That statement alone gives you credibility
That’s how I know if u know about fragrances or not. If u rub it in u don’t know shit about it. 95% of people run it in. Big pet peeve of mine
How do you apply it. Timestamp
@@indigo4740 just spray it on your spots directly and let it do its thing. I do wrist, bend in part of arm, neck and belly.

If anyone is planning on going to Dubai. Dubai mall has a level that is all fragrances from literally every house on earth. So many niche brands.
Crazy
i visit dubai frequently. i went on a huge smelling spree in dubai mall. super fun
My favorite cologne of 2024:
I bought a 1 Million Royal and one Elixir. On Amazon I ordered some refillable bottles and mixing it 50/50 makes an amazing combination that I wear everyday right now.
I loved this video, I have 6 grandsons all want to smell good. So I forwarded this to my 3 in college. I often pick up samples when I shop that I like ,but tell my grandsons they need to try it & like it, not because “grandma” does, who wants to admit Grandma picks my fragrance? I like that you emphasize being discovered wearing a fragrance, not overwhelming. Less is more. Keep it up. I’m trying to educate them, & you really help. Thank you.
No thanks, i prefer to have presence like a chad, rather than being DiScOvErEd as a hidden shy flower.
Thanks for the free game, I just got into buying fragrances every paycheck and learning as I’m going
That's 52 minutes of in-depth knowledge of perfumes and fragrances. Will now sit, play, pause, pause, pause, make notes and read, read and remember. I am 57 and want to take a plunge into making perfumes. I find the field extremely interesting and involving. I am watching a variety of videos to get the hang of it. Your video was one of the best so far. Subscribed and liked. Brilliant episode.
Antonio got all the pieces of the fragrance puzzle and made a very nice and full of knowledge video!
On point as usual!
Great video. Insightful and inspiring.
Thanks Antonio and your team!
I always enjoy your videos. I’ve been wearing the same cologne for over almost two decades and never really thought about it. Excellent video!
Wonderful video, thank you for doing it. Pretty much everything I've wondered about buying and using fragrances all in one place.
Wow! You spent a lot of time planning, filming, and editing this video! Jam packed with lots of great information!! I appreciate you putting this together! Thank you
Excellent job in putting in all this effort! Definitely have new perfumes to try out from that last list. Thank you!
Man, I don't have any fragrance and am just getting into this universe after smelling a perfume on an Uber driver that reminded me of my father's fragrance. That aside, I just wanted to commend you for the communication skills and the clear effort taken to make quality/ high production value videos. You're pretty good!
Masterclass on using fragrances the RIGHT WAY ,. This video should be preliminary for every man out there. Simple. Clear. Educational.
Really appreciate the breakdown of the difference in notes & what the different fragrances mean such as parfum... EDT...& so on... definitely subscribing to the channel...
Wow, you have become a mentor to everyone that s starting making a fragrance collection. I’ve been watching all your videos they are always super informative and have purchase some fragrance using your recommendations, But this video is like a master class. Thank you. Amazing!!!!!!
Just stopping by to say great video. The quality and time you imbue in these videos really speaks to your passion and professionalism. Thanks for the content!
Basic theory video which I've searched. Thank you for such a fundamental video and a big amount of work, I know that you've spent tons of time making it.
Great beginner video, tons of wonderful information. Still discovering my signature scent but getting close.
I enjoyed the longer format. Thx bud
My grandpa wore Brute after shave 🪒
As a child I got into it and splashed most of a full size bottle on my face. It gave me such a rash. Looked like razor burn 😂 idk if that counts as an over dose of a fragrance or not. I haven’t thought of that in years. Good times 😊
Brut Original Parfum is a favourite of mine, its my everyday fragrance and it has stood the test of time. lol
That might have been the oakmoss, which has since been banned.
Very informative video !! I was looking for something like this
Antonio, thank you for covering fragrances, over the past year you have reignited my love for fragrances. If you ever decide to sell off any of your collection I would be happy to pay a premium and pick up in person.
This guide book is absolutely amazing and very well prepared, some youtuber here in Brazil should do the same for Brazilian websites, and so on.
Thanks for the video
Unreal video; well done - a heck of amount of work has clearly been put into this.
I want to thank you for all the great content as you've helped guide me to a classier me. Co-workers have been mentioning how great I look and smell lately. I'm not saying it's because of how I look cause I also work my ass off, but the COO just asked to meet with me next week about a "Growth Opportunity." Again, thank you and keep the great content coming.
This brother right here is changing lives! Thanks bro!!
Incredibly insightful video.Thank you
Very informative video… thank you! Also some great fragrance recommendations! Would it be possible for you to list them in a link please for ease of access rather than to have to watch the entire video again just for the brand names etc?
Just got Montblanc Platinum Explorer and Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee. Love both, good addition to my collection
I don't stop by on YT too much anymore, life is busy, but I'll always be thankful to you for putting me onto PdM - Carlisle. My favourite frag of all time and my signature throughout the year. Wouldn't have discovered it when I did, if not for your earlier videos on it.
I used to have 1 to 3 bottles, but now I own 15 bottles and 10 samplers, all diferent, everyday is a trip to just know what to wear, I like these kind of situations, thanks Antonio for all the tips and recomendations
You've done a great job educating people about how they should wear fragrances and what fragrance suits them the best, etc.... ❤️👌🏻
I work at a perfumery shop and everyday I try to educate people about fragrances just the way you did. 👍🏻
Great video Antonio, thank you 💯
Excellent video! Very educational! Well done, Antonio!
Hello, for me personally I greatly appreciate you educating me about fragrances. Great content!!
I've learn alot about fragrances from your Channel. What would be some good colognes for the gym that last and will turn a few heads but not over powering?
Black is also my favorite from the line. This and original aqua di gio are my 2 favorite colognes I own and I have a lot!! Every girlfriend iv had since 2000 has loved aqua and now that I'm wearing black the most I'm constantly getting compliments.
Amazing video Antonio! You did forget the Extrait de Parfum concentration. Otherwise, great explanations and examples.
This video is bad ass! Very in-depth, organized, and informative video! If we only had smell-o-vision, this would be all you need to start or refine your journey. Great job brotha!
Hey Antonio, another great vid, good job! Have been enjoying your content for almost 2 years now. Finally just wanted to know your opinion on Penhaligon’s Helfiti.. i think thats one of the most old money fragrances out there. Anyway keep it up!
Outstanding Video. Highly Informative
This video is packed full of value for someone getting into frags like me.
Thank you Antonio....
Thank You for the Video 😀
Fragrance is a fun way to add some (metaphorical) flavor and texture to your day. This is an informative and fun introduction!
After a life changing operation, I have gained so much of my sense of smell back and boy oh boy, have I been loving fragrances in a big way. Really started getting into collecting very recently, but now understanding that smaller containers are the way to go, especially when travelling and also when wanting to rotate a lot. Great video. Thank you
What surgery did you get?
That's what I said @@jokerpilled2535
Great video! What is your take on fragrances sold which were manufactured a while ago and the quality of the fragrance once it’s been sitting on the shelf for a while?
Excellent video! Thanks!!!!
Good to have you. Without this guide I would have been lost. This is so complicated, finally someone made a guide.
Very interesting.I shall archive this.I love anything that's aquatic or vanilla sweet- bulgari aqva-,prada ocean, most wanted,le male, issey miyake
Great video as always my friend, good honest reviews with some great facts tips. Easily one of the top 3 fragrance channels on TH-cam.
Keep up the super smashing great job brother ✌🏽👍🏼
I was initially a little hesitant when I saw the video was over 50 minutes. After viewing, I was so glad I took the time to watch. Great content!
i worked at Saks 5th avenue years ago and discovered Monte Blanc Emblem and Burberry Brit Rhythm which are both very good affordable fragrances
I love clean fragrances. My go to is a classic barbershop, such as Drakkar Noir. Though for a few years now I’ve switch to Al-Rehab’s Dakar and love it! For me citrus, aromatic mint, or tea, white musk or floral with some vanilla is welcome too.
Behind the ears is a great think to do, though I find it hard to do with my Tom Cruise 2000 hair haha. I don’t want to be over powering with the fragrance.
Thank you for this! I’m just getting into scents, and I’ve already made some of the mistakes you’ve pointed out. Having this guide as a “101” is incredibly helpful
There aren't any "mistakes" except if you maybe drink your perfume, there's no "objective" set of criteria that guide "perfume use". Jeeez
After reaching over 100 bottles now, and not having money for the past several month to buy any, I need to reevaluate my collection, I realize I blind bought bottles way too often, but fortunately had mostly good luck. Not buying fragrances, I've started to evaluate my collection, ranging from $15 clones to Xerjoff, and what I'm lacking, and if I'm being far too repetitive with certain fragrances that don't differ enough to keep buying. Heck, I realized I don't have a SINGLE good vetiver scent, and thinking about it? I have no idea of a top 3 I'd consider next. I've been wearing Salvatorre Ferragamo Uomo Signature a TON lately this winter, it just works great and you can get it so cheap. I need to get a vetiver scent, and evaluate future purchases more carefully, and have some bottles I need a new one of.
Thanks for the video to make me think about the basics again, of back when I first started really collecting fragrances to use, and not just having a few I always used, and giving me a chance to evaluate what I have and my approach going forward with it. This was a good video. I haven't watched your content for a while, but I appreciate the work you put into your videos.
I want one of your atomizers!! Perfect for travel and on the go!! Could toss that in gym bag and use out of the shower rather than toting the whole bottle. Please make them available!!
This video was so good. I wasn’t until 10 mins in with the Alpha car story that I realized I watched this last month. Keep it up. Still finished it.
2:55 This is an old and tired myth. Fragrance is intended to mix with your natural oils, and you can't avoid that mixing, even if you try. But that's not the worst part of this myth. Fragrance is already blended in the bottle. You can't mix it any further, and that includes any rubbing you might do on your skin. What's more, it doesn't hit your skin in layers (yet another ludicrous claim), so rubbing it couldn't possibly change the order in which the notes are released into the air. That order - i.e., top -> middle -> base - is determined by the relative volatility of each note, not by some magical layering done by the atomizer. 😏
I appreciate the lack of pretension, encouraging going to large retailers instead of demanding one goes to the brand store itself, and highlighting discount sites and clone scents
Excellent job putting everything together aka Yellow How to do book! In fragrances world TH-cam channels are good.. But nobody does better than this!
I concur with that tobacco vanilla scent. I had some beard oil that was scented like that & it gave me a headache after wearing it. Great beard oil but gotta use it sparingly.
Great tips about applying fragrances. One note that I'd add is that staining clothes is not the only thing to consider when applying fragrance to clothing, especially if its clothing that can be worn again before sending to the cleaners (like suits or silk shirts or fine sweaters, scarves). Unless you plan to wear only the one scent, spraying on clothing can limit what you wear the next time you go into your closet to choose an outfit because the scent you used last time is still lingering in the threads. I think spraying clothing is generally not a good idea. Of course there are exceptions.
I agree with things that get laundered infrequently. Regular, everyday wear should be fine. T-shirts, casual shirts and other clothing that gets washed at home should be ok. More potent fragrances may need to have a better wash or use a good laundry detergent to release the scent from the shirt. Kinda like workout clothes. You may have to wash with a free and clear laundry soap since the scents and fabric softeners can lock in odors.
Thank you for the video.
Great info especially for those who are new to the game!
that coffee bean thing, as far as i know, is true... we tested it in med school when we had to examine the olfatory nerves of the patients
Excellent introduction video. Well done
i like your content very much especially for your voice.. And your sense of smell is just similar to me... so i didn't think that I'll watch this whole long video... But i watched it..
This is just amazing. Keep doing this sir.
I wish I would had known about TFs Grey Vetiver Parfum. I bought EDT and has maybe 2 hours of longevity.😢
Discoloration of clothing happens mostly when you spray too close. Just back it up a little so its not concentrated in a half inch circle
I buy from sephora the 10ml tom ford travel size to try it out
WOW,1st time I've seen channel Anteus mentioned on any fragrance channel..I love the stuff..Great mature gentleman scent .To be honest I 1st tried it when sneaked a spray off my friends dad before a school disco back in 80s England ,maybe 86/87...😂...Still buy it to this day ..
I have a bit of A cologne fettish ,just today got my 1st bottle of Dior Homme intense..Love it👌..Savage elixir and Tom Ford Oud wood are my all time faves...great vlog btw .👍
Fougre fragrances are my favorite!
I just started my fragrance journey. This video is incredible for us trying to learn to pick scents. Thank you
Wonderful!
Would you recommend Macy's for cologne shopping?
Antonio, can you do female fragrance recommendations? Your in depth knowledge would be much appreciated!
thank you are a true cologne genie
Best teacher i have come across this year
A little tip to people going to duty frees and stuff wait 30-60 seconds before smelling, then you can smell 30+ fragrances because the alcohol is what makes you go nose blind
Masterful information ❤👍
Bvlgari Aqva marine is my fav! Sadly they stopped it. Anything really close to that scent and is around the same price or even less?
Do you have a video or could you make a video of a breakdown of all just creed cologne?
High quality video like always ❤
Really helpful video! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Ur the man Antonio. Love ur fragrance videos
You rock!
I hear that fragrances lose smell because they are old? Is this true and if so how long is it? A few years? Love the videos, got into fragrances recently and it's nice to have someone explain them thoroughly
It is true a fragrance can get ruined due to very very bad storage or broken cap seals.
But I've bought lots and lots of original, vintage fragrances made even 50 to 60 years ago and never got a faded scent.
Wow! I wish I had one of those travel atomizer🎉
Hi,i need a tip.I own dylan blue, turathi blue, afnan 9pm,acqua di gio,ck free a some fragrance inspired by fierce. What fragrance would recommend to elevate my collection?
What a legend just the video I was looking for. That travel atomiser looks great
Glad it helped
Fantastic video.
I usually prefer Aquatic or Citrus, what do you recommend sir?
- Antonio, maybe this is what works for you..but I think you underspray and people can't really pick up your scent that much. I am not asking you to do 15-20 sprays, but consider doing more than 5 sprays for ADG EDP. I am sure it is not a scent that will choke people out if you do 8-10.
- Also, I think spicebomb extreme can be worn to the office unless you work in a corporate environment etc. But 2 sprays of prada lhomme to me will be like wasting the perfume, or simply for me to pick up and not for others.
- Environment/weather matters too. Where I stay, perfumes don't perfume anywhere near where you stay, so overapplying/respraying is required.
