The Invisibility Cap would be kind of cool IF enemies couldn't see Mario either. It would actually give you a reason to replay the levels just to screw with all the enemies.
Part of the problem with the outfits is that they don't serve any kind of function beyond aesthetics and getting people in the game to give you Power Moons. But if I have the swimsuit on, wouldn't it be cool if I could swim better or at least last longer underwater? And if I have on the Football Uniform, wouldn't it be cool if the padding gave me extra hit points? Things like that.
I'm not trying to sound like a sourpuss. Quite the opposite. Its kind of got me excited for an Odyssey 2 where they take that into consideration and do more with the outfits.
Maybe the enemies wouldn’t be able to see you in Mario Odyssey 2. If it actually comes out
to make it more balanced i think the invisibility cap should have an ability that makes mario invisible for 3 seconds

I’d apply the extra hit points logic to the night and samurai helmets and outfits too because it’s actual armor in those cases.

I don’t know how many people know this, but you can wear the Aviator Outfit in the Snow Kingdom and it grants the same effect that wearing the Snow Suit does. Meaning that if you wear it when you first arrive at the Snow Kingdom, you won’t have to make Mario shiver from the cold. Cappy still comments on the cold though.

You can randomise your outfit in the wardrobe, and if you do this, every time you die your outfit will randomly change, it will often be mis-matched, but occasionally the hat will match with the outfit.

For the base ball helmet, many helmets only have 1 ear guard because only 1 side of your head is facing the pitcher, so only that 1 side needs protection.

the reason one of the sides of the baseball helmet is missing is because in professional baseball, when going up to bat, you only need one side of your face covered, so baseball helmets for major leagues are made for right/left handers

What really makes the samurai helmet so great is that it references the real life samurai, Sanada Yukimura. He’s often depicted as wearing a helmet with antlers on them, as the one in the game has. This is driven even further home by the six coins on the helmet, as six coins is the emblem for the Sanada clan. (In Japanese mythology, you have to pay six coins to cross the river of the underworld, so the emblem represents how the clan members are always prepared to die for a worthy cause)

Strat Master I completed that and let me tell you it’s not that hard since that level is more capture oriented but the real challenge is minimum capture, invisible cap, no coins, no damage, 1-try

Hi bandy for the baseball helmet and uniform, the left side of the helmet is gone because in the MLB it’s more comfortable to where “1 flap helmets” I watch a lot of baseball and it’s a detail that’s fairly often missed. So they intentionally made it a one flap helmet.

One time I was at a Smash tournament and after I had gotten eliminated, I decided to pick up Odyssey and get the 8-bit cap (I had my Switch with me). Then I of course find out it's 9999 coins and spend like half an hour playing balloon world to get them all. After that I go back to crazy cap to get it... and it doesn't even have an animation. I still like it but I wish that after all that work they would have at least given me an animation on the cap.

The invisibility suit is an exception. Not meant as a costume, but instead probably meant as a hard mode tool or option for players wanting a challenge.
