  • The wipers arms and gear lever on my 180SX are looking a bit tired and worn out, so in this video I bring the arms back to life with some new paint, and replace the worn gear knob and boot with fresh parts.

I don't really have any updates to give you I'm afraid. Due to COVID I haven't done anymore work on the car, and it hasn't demanded anything from me since I changed the water pump.

The duct that is connected to the back of the fascia plate is used for the auto climate control system. When the fan is on, air is sucked through that vent from the cabin and passes a thermister. This is used in conjunction with the light sensor on the left hand side of dash to tell the climate control how hot or cold it needs to be. Took me lots of research to find that out :)

I thought it was probably something like that. I never use the climate control in auto mode anyway, so I've just left it cable-tied out the way.

Looks good, you need to sought out the center console back from the gear stick as the dents/chips let it down

The removable bit you can still get direct from Nissan in Japan, but it's not particularly cheap. The piece behind that doesn't come out. There might be some way of releasing it, but otherwise I'd have to source a new/undamaged centre console, which would be nigh on impossible I suspect. Thanks for watching.
