That Utopia is an absolute masterpiece. That interior has to be one of the top interiors for an automobile of all time! Someday Horacio Pagani's name will no doubt go down in history with the other automotive masters like Enzo Ferrari, Ettore Bugatti, Ferruccio Lamborghini, Carl Benz, Ferdinand Porsche, and the many other automotive masters of yesteryear. Harry, you are a lucky man to be able to own a Countach and also lucky you can drive the Utopia! Very few people will ever be able to drive such an incredible work of art in automotive design and engineering.

One of my pet peeves.... "Carbon Fibre" is precisely the same as "FibreGlass" except that the fibre is carbon weave rather than glass weave. You could, fact use, silk or polyester fibres or wood fibre or titanium filaments. Kevlar is a "plastic". I have never understood the enthusiasm for carbon over any other binder. Long ago, I worked with fibreglass...
I think the bit for me that looks a bit off is the headlight surrounds, somehow it makes it clumsy and a bit bodged if you know what I mean. The early Zondas where much more clean looking.

I just learned about this channel from Doug Demuro. To be treated to possibly the most beautiful car ever, right out of the gate, wow. Since Top Gear died, I'm pretty supercar ignorant. I'm all subscribed now.
If you find you enjoy Harry’s Garage then try Tyrrell’s Classic Workshop. Harry has some of his cars including that Countach worked on there. Harry convinced Iain Tyrrell to try doing some TH-cam videos. Predominately cars from the 60’s to 80’s. Higher end vehicles. Going further from servicing and restorations, I really enjoy my weekend fix of a video from ”Retropower uncut”. Retromod projects which I would think average 18-24 months to complete. I believe they have a four year waiting list for a major project. The craftsmanship is incredible. So it’s not much of cars being driven but a lot of tin bashing, machining design work etc. I know both those recommendations are quite different to Doug or Harry’s videos but for a car enthusiast it’s not too far off for a subscriber to DeMuro’s channel. Just you won’t hear anyone who has the letter R as their favourite vowel.
Pagani is not just a fast sport car but it is a masterpiece of art in every detail even under hood with noble materials done with excellent handcraftmenship
His cars always sound so good. At times, I'm struggling with the appearance of their designs? This is very different, which I applaud, but is it good-looking? I honestly can't say? I respect Mr Pagani greatly. He reminds me of a Bond villain!
Yet again, Pagani builds another stunning feast for the senses. This is just astonishing on so many levels. I would, without hesitation, trade my Fiesta ST for one of these. 😊
Nice to hear Mr. Pagani talking for the first time. Normally i am not a big Pagani fan but this gentleman is an outstanding person. This Utopia is the first Pagani i really like. The engine is nuts.
I hope Pagani gave you a copy of the book on the Utopia they produced (with Giunti Editore) to mark its launch. I had the privilege of translating the book into English - sadly the closest I will ever get to driving a Utopia!
Great review of The Utopia, nobody does it better 👌A special moment, when Horacio explained how he made the Countach's engine cover "by my own hands" ❤
Enjoyed the front view out the windscreen, as Harry was devouring the country roads Isn’t a Kevlar based component more “high tech and kitschy” than basic CF? CF and it’s look-a-like knock-offs are a dime a dozen… It’s the single piece aluminum CNC machined components throughout the vehicle, and the exquisite interior design that seem (to me, IMHO), to be the differentiated between these vehicles and their competitors
Only a dime a dozen since most carbon stuff now is produced in Taiwan. It's a very labour intensive process, which means it's expensive when it's made in Europe.
I think the Utopia moved to twin scroll turbos that nearly eliminated the turbo lag. twin scrolls with 6 cylinders is ideal for exhaust pulses keeping the twin scrolls spooled up. I love that they went with a manual option for this car. It is so special.
Kevlar is techinally aramid, it's a common process to combine it with glass fiber to make it stronger and more heat resistant. Kevlar is just the marketing name from Dupont.
What a FANTASTIC piece of engineering and sadly something we will never see again. It is a work of art and that exposed engine bay is simply beautiful.
What a beautiful car. It's almost (in that colour) like a classic car in a very modern way. Love it. Pity you'd have to win big on the euro millions to afford to own and run one.
Well Harry, we became friends during Covid and we got through it together. Many thanks for the superb recent videos and you remain at the forefront of the video makers and excellent internet journalism !

Beautiful colour that pagani. Looks fantastic too. Love this whole Lamborghini roadtrip. Appreciate all the time it takes to edit etc. Thanks been washing my cars today looking forward to this video. 😊
this looks like a huayrah that's crashed through halfords or had yiannamize on it. The styling is a backstep and the interior. That engine is a masterpiece though.
An extraordinary thing but the interior is not for me. Like a flashy watchmaker shared a magnum of Barolo with a blingy yacht designer and in the morning they still believed in their crazy chat.
Harry it is still a great work of art and a extraordinary car and the Utopia is a masterpiece of mechanical, art and passion for the best! Great review as always!!!
Quite a distinctive and exclusive brand. I was lucky to be passenger in a Zonda about ten years ago. The whole atmosphere aboard a Pagani makes you think of the universe of a top notch watchmaker. Quite fascinating. And I love the fact that Pagani chose to stick to a manual gearbox. Good for him. I don’t think there is any equivalent to a Pagani anywhere. The ruling team at Lamborghini back then were obviously foolish not to believe in Horatio Pagani. This Utopia like all other Paganis have a bit of a Modern Style look about them ! A tad fussy perhaps, but a remarkable achievement nonetheless. 😎
Fancy getting to get together with Horacio pagani and see all his stuff What an amazing man and company I got to see a zonda R in Singapore a few years back and was just amazed by it Good one harry 👍👍🇦🇺
Always funny to see guys like Mr Pagani so full of himself that he refuses to speak English although he is fluent !!! I suppose it makes him look that little bit more "authentic" to all his foreign clients who all converse in English ...... TV presenters in the UK and chefs do the same. Speak English with an Italian or French accent "à couper au couteau" LOL. Very STRONG Italian/French accents also using the Italian or French intonations. Seemingly a thing the "rich" enjoy and are willing to pay more for ...... In this video Mr Pagani understands every single word spoken in English and is perfectly capable of answering in English. 4:55 - LOL.
Thanks for an introduction to Pagani. I am aware of the cars, this is the first visual experience. The design and attention to detail is staggering. Bugatti in his era made engineering beautiful as well as inventive. Mr Pagani strikes me as the present day equivalent.

What an experience driving that Pagani. I saw a Zonda at Daytona once in the Paddock area. What a machine. Looked like something designed in the Andromeda Galaxy.
I visited PAGANI in May 2024 with a group of petrolheads on a group tour after the Monaco GP Historique; the entire PAGANI tour was like a view into the minds and hearts of true artists…spellbinding stuff!

Check out Harry's farming channel. He makes farming almost as interesting as his cars!
Same, checked out the channel right when doug mentioned it. Subscribed immediately
Harry's cars were regularly on Top Gear, too. James dinged up this Countach on a grand tour episode!
Pagani is not just a fast sport car but it is a masterpiece of art in every detail even under hood with noble materials done with excellent handcraftmenship
5:51 People are completely ignoring the Utopia and recording Horacio Pagani signing a Countach, proof that it was the defining supercar!
That Pagani Utopia is a work of art, absolutely magnificent.
Great channel as now recommended as his No.1 choice by Doug Demuro
Nice to hear Mr. Pagani talking for the first time.
Normally i am not a big Pagani fan but this gentleman is an outstanding person. This Utopia is the first Pagani i really like. The engine is nuts.
I hope Pagani gave you a copy of the book on the Utopia they produced (with Giunti Editore) to mark its launch. I had the privilege of translating the book into English - sadly the closest I will ever get to driving a Utopia!
that book looks amazing. great that you were involved!
‘The shape of air’?
@@Tyson__B Yes.
Great review of The Utopia, nobody does it better 👌A special moment, when Horacio explained how he made the Countach's engine cover "by my own hands" ❤
Enjoyed the front view out the windscreen, as Harry was devouring the country roads
Isn’t a Kevlar based component more “high tech and kitschy” than basic CF? CF and it’s look-a-like knock-offs are a dime a dozen…
It’s the single piece aluminum CNC machined components throughout the vehicle, and the exquisite interior design that seem (to me, IMHO), to be the differentiated between these vehicles and their competitors
What I remember about Kevlar was it blunted your scissors/knife blade really friggin' quickly.
nothing special its called reinforced fibre glass. my Renault 5 gt turbo has bumper made from same stuff
@@Lemingtona-x5g mmm i thought this is a woven material though. Lends to much stronger parts than a chopped fiber.
@@mitchellsteindler its a mix of the two
@@mitchellsteindler You get all sorts of weaves of glass fibre, not just chopped strand matt a-la- TVR and Reliant.
Another great review, giving a very balanced, enthusiastic commentary as usual of a beautiful, exotic car…please keep the videos coming 🎉🎉
This is a very special Harry’s Garage video, fantastic.
Another great video and experience. Just love that V12 sound and the exhaust cracking as it cools down.... 👌Perfect Harry.
V12 Mercedes Twin-Turbo can still be found in Maybach and Guard S680 Models, which are being sold
Congrats Harry on being named as Doug DeMuro's all time favourite automotive TH-camr. Well deserved.
Well Harry, we became friends during Covid and we got through it together. Many thanks for the superb recent videos and you remain at the forefront of the video makers and excellent internet journalism !
This is fast becoming one of my favorite subscriptions, always enjoyable. Many thanks.
This is Horacio's true masterpiece!!!!!!
Big ups to you, Harry. What a chat.🙌🏽 This channel is the #1 car channel on TH-cam , great insight. Thank you.🙏🏽✌🏽
Its Sunday so its a bit of Harry and cars 😁
Thank you Harry for another insightful upload. It is a lovely car. Beautiful machinery. It appears that one of my other favourite TH-camrs is a big fan of you Doug Demuro. I wish that you two could do a calibration video together. Enjoy the rest of the week.
i don't know english well enough, sorry i can't find the words, what a great episode this is, i'm just delighted
Sure
A real Myth buster episode ❤ I wonder how many other stories live on in the motor trade that nobody really knows the truth about..😂 it just shows how little the trade really knows.. a wonderful episode and this Utopia styling is off the planet good, my all time favourite Pagani.
12:33 This note sound from the engine is a throwback from the Zonda era, for sure!
Like the sensor technology in the tyres and new possibilities it gives. Great video, as usual.👍
Oh my word, what a review this is gonna be!
The perfect car for someone who's had a Mansory Roller and thought "Nah, nowhere NEAR enough tasteless bling".
@@TonyWhitley the paganis were always outlandish but tasteful. not sure what happened here. maybe it looks better in the metal
4 for 1 Zonda? Nuts, bet you wish still had your's Harry!!
You should fix a transparent laminated cover over that signature!
I was at the factory in July, what a pleasure it was. Unreal place.
"Pirelli" Harry in an Italian accent at 6:17. Horacio"s rubbing off on him.
Fantastic drive-along review, lovely car. Peak auto journalism
Nothing else looks like a Pagani interior. I think TVR were going for a similar aesthetic.
Spyker got it right.
@@altjacobs ah yes forgot about that brand.
Fancy getting to get together with Horacio pagani and see all his stuff
What an amazing man and company
I got to see a zonda R in Singapore a few years back and was just amazed by it
Good one harry 👍👍🇦🇺
He got his fibre-glass signed by Pagani tho :)
How does this not have a million views yet
A signed lid very cool
Best automotive journalist in the game. Thank you for the great video Harry!
4:55 - LOL.
Such a Fantastic Car. The interior reminds me of a Spyker C8. The Spyker is still my favourite car 🤩!
Harry: it’s NOT Kevlar. He didn’t say it was 😂 you are hearing what you want to hear
Thanks for an introduction to Pagani. I am aware of the cars, this is the first visual experience. The design and attention to detail is staggering. Bugatti in his era made engineering beautiful as well as inventive. Mr Pagani strikes me as the present day equivalent.
On my god, he signed your engine cover, what a fabulous guy, it’s probably doubled the value of your car !
Simply an all-round treat. Car and presentation, oh so good and complete.
With all my respect for Koenigssegg.. Rimac ..Hennessey ..ORACIO PAGANI IS IN ANOTHER GALAXY ✨️and Harry looked so betrayed acknowledging the kevlar thing 😂❤
What an experience driving that Pagani. I saw a Zonda at Daytona once in the Paddock area. What a machine. Looked like something designed in the Andromeda Galaxy.
That intro was next level, definitely vibing with it.
I visited PAGANI in May 2024 with a group of petrolheads on a group tour after the Monaco GP Historique; the entire PAGANI tour was like a view into the minds and hearts of true artists…spellbinding stuff!
