Gamers are numb brained, you're telling me it's ballsy for the company heavely supported by the US army to depict a warlord on the side of the west in a civil war as a badass?
the last two modern warfare games have rewritten actual war crimes the US have committed (the highway of death, the assassination of soleimani,) to blame russia for the crimes happening, there are multiple missions throughout the cod games where you literally commit mass shootings, and you’re constantly committing war crimes because war law doesn’t apply to good guys but makes bad guys more evil when they break it. Granted, the game came out before the U.S. really realized how much of a threat China could be.
@@roadhouse6999 it depends on the path you choose tho. Because if you don't do the extra missions you don't get to have them as allys in the final mission
The call of duty series is literally a propaganda mill to retroactively justify american atrocities and support for warlords like savimbi and noreiga, what controversy is call of duty trying to shy away from?
@@muttipi Noreiga is a villain in black ops 2? What are you on about? I hated him in the game and rightfully so when I did more research on him. The old cod games didn't portray America as the good guys all the time. By the end of MW3 Russia and America make peace, Your goal in MW3 is to save the Russian president in one of the missions. Sure modern cod may be different which is strange considering the other things they promote that go against that.

Savimbi was one of my favorite characters in BO2, it also looked he actually care about the soldiers under his command which makes him even better.
Bro Savimbi was like the best part of that opening. And as for Noriega… well he was (he’s taking the long nap now) literally in prison for crimes against humanity.

Who else learned about the Angolan civil war because of Savimbi in bo2?
I was reaching the South African border war for a school project and I realized the trucks they used in the bo2 were South African and then I later also found out the helicopter you use was used during the Rhodesian bush war they really had some great attention to detail

Considering how positive Jonas Savimbi was portrayed and how well liked he was in the game... the fact that his surviving family sued is puzzling.
Tbh if I was depicted like Savambi in a video game. I’d find the modeller, Animator, Voice Actor and Storyboarder who added me into the game and shake their hand.
that’s because you haven’t done anything of importance. that would be the highlight of your life. Savimbi freed a nation, spoke 7 languages, and could recite western AND eastern philosophy completely from memory. him being in a video game isn’t even remotely close to his greatest achievement.
@@bshhhhhhh Nobody said it was a great achievement to be in a video game. If you’re gonna shit on people, at least be coherent while doing so.

Jonas in bo2 was depicted as an absolute badass with the will and drive to emerge victorious no matter the cost. Also, barbarian?? The first line he has is one of truth and compassion "sometimes it's too late to save a man. Let us hurry, before we join him in death". And then his last line was one of honor and loyalty as he arrives at the last second to save Mason, woods, and Hudson "you thought I would leave you?"
Why is this a perfect loop
Because it was intended to be a loop 😐
I thought I'm the only one who noticed
@@yourballs7888 yea but the way its made it starts and ends in the same scene. But they made it so the camera pans over and starts all over again.

Savimbi was like going to Black Friday with my badass grandpa back in the day. Loved that mission

The only thing wrong with their depiction of Norriega was that they didn't capture him by blasting rock/metal music on loud speakers. (True story)
Savimbi’s family didn’t even see the gameplay. Savimbi was depicted as a brave man and a badass who is willing to fight to the bitter end.
The transition from the end back to the beginning is perfect 👍
I haven't played game myself and I can say only positive things about Savimbi, his "DEATH TO THE MPLA!" battle cry is one of the greatest battle cries I have heard.

I actually think that they thought he was potrayed that way because Woods says "You think im f'cking nuts? Oh, this guy.." when talking about savimbi before "Pyrrhic Victory" starts.
While Savimbi's time in the game was unjustly short, it was badass and revolutionary, as per his actions
Savimbi was one of the coolest parts of the campaign, he was also wise and kind, while also being amazing at pretty much anything that involves fighting. The family just wanted money.
Most definitely not wise and kind in real life.

Uh, speaking of the real story of Angolan Civil War, I'd rather not seeing him further if the story turns out to be his downfall, unless it is a fictional story of him like...being revived in the future or join the foreign military campaign after his exile from Angola.
Also the last scene of him on the helicopter was already badass ending of him which closes his scene pretty decent.
