@Roniixx BO3 is litteraly just futuristic but recycles the plot from BO1 entirely, its just the imaginary friend is Taylor instead of Reznov, the digital thingy is the numbers, and the interrogation where you were rememembering everything is instead that whole "your life flashes as you die" cliche, Corvis is probably just a recycling of Kravchenko and Dragovich as instead of putting the numbers in your ming he infects the digital interface thingy, its just the same bullshit from Black Ops 1 but its in the 2060s instead of the 1960s
I was at the mission Odysseus when i remembered that there were good and bad endings.... sooo i literally rewound the entire story starting from old wounds and doing literally every mission twice LMAO just to get the best ending. It was worth it.
From BO4's perspective, the actual Canonical Order for BO2's Campaign Timeline is Karma Dies, Farid's Sacrifice, Mason and Harper Lives, Kill Menendez (also completing the Strike Force Missions) and "Cordis Die" happens, so this is the Canonical Path that was chosen for BO4 Timeline placement despite that it has no Campaign (and wished it should've never Existed).
18:28 the person in the grave in the top left of the US soldier in Iraq was the same age as me right now when he died. Its a video game but it really does put things into perspective how young soldiers are, and this was real. I never really appeciated that while playing CoD as a kid but now I get it.
1st time I've ended the game, I didn't let Woods interrogate Kravchenko, on purpose. After what he did, even after Dragovich's death ... I couldn't let that one slip and let it shoot. As one said : "Dragovich, Kravchenko, Steiner, they all must die ...". When I shot Mason 3 times in the head, I've regretted everything ... Karma died, but I've killed Menendez as well. Again without hesitation, because of what he made me do. Kill the character that introduced me to my first FPS, my first Call of Duty.
Somehow I understand every ending besides the best one. Menendez still wanted revenge after woods lived and took care of David, but the government is holding woods. He choose to grow not only his followers and army but created 2 plans just in case one of them goes the other way. Which explains why he escape prison to go to wood's retirement home and why he created that video for his followers. Menendez did 4D Chess to kill woods but the icing of the cake would be him going to his sister's grave because he would of let his followers go ahead with his other plan once someone found out he burn to death in his sister's grave. The worst ending would of show us of him killing himself and his followers going after the government then just him killing himself.
he was in jail, how the hell would he do anything about it? he couldnt escape and there's no way for him to contact Cordis Die, unless his jailcell just happens to have wifi and a computer
@@TheEvo86 I like how you think he need wifi and connection to do his plans when you forget he have an army. One of them can post the video for him when he does and for him escaping was shown many times in the endings besides the best ending. Menendez always finds a way for his plans to work, even though the story of BO2. Having himself capture and put on the Obama ship is a great example of him having his plan work.
@@TheEvo86, I mean, in the bad endings, Menendez escapes to kill Woods, so clearly he can do that. Although, you could make the case that the Celerium virus helped in that.
I played through this campaign so many fkn times man, just to get each ending and change what decisions I made each time. This is the only campaign (apart from black ops 1) which I wouldn’t think twice about replaying it over and over, this hits right in the nostalgia balls😩🙌🏻
The Mason's Grave cutscene really gives the eerie feelings. Especially in Mason's gravestone, where unlike many of the gravestones have notable millitary services, Mason's grave had none with the most notable one being "Friend" and once the quote of Semper Fidelis. Shows that people like Mason don't go out with a blaze of glory, they just gets a quiet and somber end.
I think this is what sets BO2 apart from WaW and BO1. You're not made to feel like a cog in a machine. Instead the entire plot is driven by a small set of main characters, one of which is you, and is defined by themes of grief, loss and vengeance on a very personal level
He tortured and executed Woods’ team for weeks making him watch, and purposely left ONLY him alive to have the slowest and grossest death possible. The dude was an inexcusable psycho before losing his sister
@@brandyDC That is the reason I like MW3 more than Bo2. I HATE that to stop this POS once and for all I have to let him live. I wanted to do to him what I did to makarov in that game.
"Ah, you're a couple of f*cking broads, work this sh*t out on your own. Need some smokes... Nurse Batsh*t, where's my smokes?!" Woods is one of the best characters in Call of Duty history. Change my mind.
37:25 Damn, what a badass. Even after the decades of trauma that woods experienced, and in spite of realizing he is about to die by the same man's hands who tortured him so, he still has the balls to tell him to basically fuck himself.
Menendez decides to blame everyone but himself. I mean, he tortured Frank's men right in front of him, damn near killed him, and Menendez doesn't expect retaliation? How the hell was Woods supposed to know Raul's sister was in that room, and caught up in the blast!
Well…Let's see who is REALLY to blame for everything, it is Menendez's father, first the guy was a drug dealer, precisely in what was a civil war (and believe me the Sandinistas were not very different from the Contras) and it sounds kind of counterproductive. What can I say, but the CIA had little or no control over the issue, of couser the CIA send weapons and some founding, but unlike Afghanistan at that time, the Contras were not trustworthy at all, and to make it more complicated, the guy had accumulated power too quickly which brought too much attention to the point of seeing him as a threat by everyone, if he did not swear allegiance to the Sandinistas they would kill him, if he messed with the Sandinistas the Contras or the CIA he killed him and if he turned out to be too dangerous for all of them, they would come and kill him.
The real irony is that if he never got into the cartel business, his sister would still be alive and well. Poverty is no excuse for immorality and crime.
The first ending is one of the greatest endings to a game. That and the emotional impact and epic fucking music as you see david realize his dads alive
basically every end cutscene's trigger: Mason dies: grave visit Mason lives: talk Menendez dies: protest Menendez lives and Karma lives: Menendez bash his head in jail Menendez lives and Karma dies: Menendez escapes and kills Woods Karma lives: she solves a virus and stops Menendez's escape (if he lives) Karma dies: CIA nerd struggles with a virus and Menendez escapes to kill Woods (if he lives)
You know I always wondering in “Suffer With Me” when Menedez shoots Woods, while Woods is on the ground incapacitated he grabs the shotgun and places it on his 2nd knee on purpose.

@@shad0w_g4ming You didn't understand. What I'm saying is that what's the point in Karma's survival if after Menendez's death this viral video still goes online and Cordis Dee rebels anyway?
This is my favorite ending. It seemed the most realistic and bittersweet.
This was the peak for Call Of Duty campaigns in my opinion. Just the sheer amount of choice and different endings gave it so much replayability
19:59 is my canon ending because we don’t see David mason in bo3 and it’s never explained what Alex mason was doing for those 30 years In “hiding”
@PeterKOSZ Actually they mentioned me eras in one of the missions so uh ur incorrect
fun fact, bo3 is infact like 40 years into the future. (or something) but it does continue from the bo2 story line
That’s because BO3 is total dogshit
@@good_hoonter_percy Barely lol
Black Ops 4 didn't happen, neither did Black Ops 3 (story wise, zombies was pretty good on both)
@Roniixxthis ISN'T CNC TT, buddy.
@Roniixx would you rather talk about Vanguard 😒
Yeah this isn’t true
How can we know since there's no campaign ?
This game really needs to be remastered
FRRRR
So true. Bo2 needs a remaster very badly
It's still good the way it was
not necessarily, graphics still hold to this day
@@beefybacon yes they do
18:28 the person in the grave in the top left of the US soldier in Iraq was the same age as me right now when he died. Its a video game but it really does put things into perspective how young soldiers are, and this was real. I never really appeciated that while playing CoD as a kid but now I get it.
You know the most unironic idiotic thing is that jimmy Kimmel would actually consider inviting Raul menendez
18:13 Man seeing old Woods😢 and when Mason puts his hand on his shoulder along with the music jus makes me sad😢
Mason is confirmed dead. Rest in peace king
Treyarch has their head stuck up their ass now so don't take them seriously
Farid is such a legend for his actions
Yeah. He was a pretty cool dude. He didn't deserve to die. Especially by getting shot by f*cking Salazar.
It was so stupid he was shot on the shoulder and he is probably dead cuz we don’t see him no more
@@ghostwhencodghosts9114Yeah was just playing and it sucks how hes actually dead after that Scene I fully expected him to survive
Actually underrated. Without him the whole fucking grid would be getting molested by a worm. RIP Farid
I played through this campaign so many fkn times man, just to get each ending and change what decisions I made each time. This is the only campaign (apart from black ops 1) which I wouldn’t think twice about replaying it over and over, this hits right in the nostalgia balls😩🙌🏻
What about World at War?
@@occam7382 world at war is up there for sure, but I only replayed that campaign about 3 times compared to bo1 & 2
@@keiganemslie2519, fair. Those three games have to be my absolute favorite in the series, the story they tell is just... "chef's kiss" glorious.
I literally played this all the time as a kid I'm 18 NOW JUET LEARNING THAT THERES MULTIPLE ENDINGS
lmao
You know, when I shot Mason I actually got the good ending first try because I wanted Menendez to suffer, I had a whole panic attack at the end lol
If we look from Menendez's point of view, we can see a brother just avenging his sister's death, by killing the ones responsible.
He also roped one of the guys children into it and traumatized the kid for life so that hardly makes him the good giy
I think this is what sets BO2 apart from WaW and BO1. You're not made to feel like a cog in a machine. Instead the entire plot is driven by a small set of main characters, one of which is you, and is defined by themes of grief, loss and vengeance on a very personal level
Hes a piece of shit sociopath, look what he did to woods and his men in Vietnam.
"I'll introduce you to somebody, Al this is Dave. Dave.... This is your dad" funny as all get out
"Ah, you're a couple of f*cking broads, work this sh*t out on your own. Need some smokes... Nurse Batsh*t, where's my smokes?!" Woods is one of the best characters in Call of Duty history. Change my mind.
29:46 that aged well.
David seeing his dad is the best cod game ending ever created it's so wholesome and amazing
37:25
Damn, what a badass.
Even after the decades of trauma that woods experienced, and in spite of realizing he is about to die by the same man's hands who tortured him so, he still has the balls to tell him to basically fuck himself.
When you get a question wrong
The teacher: 14:36
Pretty much
Thats a true hard work behind the video. Appreciate it, for sharing it with us.
Poverty is no excuse for immorality and crime.
best video of these endings! showing all the changes was perfect.
The first ending is one of the greatest endings to a game. That and the emotional impact and epic fucking music as you see david realize his dads alive
Bruh that dude at 7:29 on the left I like how he disappears out of no where 😂
I saw that like what 😂😂😂

Mason lives: talk
Menendez dies: protest
Menendez lives and Karma lives: Menendez bash his head in jail
Menendez lives and Karma dies: Menendez escapes and kills Woods
Karma lives: she solves a virus and stops Menendez's escape (if he lives)
Karma dies: CIA nerd struggles with a virus and Menendez escapes to kill Woods (if he lives)
came here because of bo6, mason is confirmed dead, devs confirmed it. the 6th ending here is canon.
You know I always wondering in “Suffer With Me” when Menedez shoots Woods, while Woods is on the ground incapacitated he grabs the shotgun and places it on his 2nd knee on purpose.
The world was so close or is close to become a Black Ops 2 reality.
At least there's no such things as the SDC, or Celerium, or Raul Menendez in real life... right? Right?
We pretty much have the technology from Black Ops 2 already, the missions in BO2 have happened based on real life events and the US has a female leader though Kamala Harris is pretty bit cringe.
@@occam7382If you know you know my friend. Let’s just say you can take bo2’s campaign as predictive programming. You know there’s many talks of a a “cyber pandemic” in which all major systems collapse. Sounds a lot like the celerium worm doesn’t it? And ofc Cordis die, just the US (and world) devolving into anarchy. All so conveniently fitting into our timeline. It’s already 2024, and it would seem we’re syncing up pretty well to the game.
Man, Mernendez is hell of an antagoist, I really like the ending that he wins
I love this game so much I used to play this a lot years ago. This is one of the best memorable games I've ever played. When I watch these cutscenes again, the nostalgia kicks in.
man. that moment where the character just fall down a burning place and hang on a metal beam is like call of duty ghosts's (my favourite) hunted mission on low budget
you can also unlock the worst ending if karma and mason both live, and you spare menendez but you don’t complete the strike force missions. it's the ending i got :(
Being locked in a room and forced to watch Jimmy Kimmel has to be worse than lighting yourself on fire over the corpse of your own sister
Fun fact, when you shoot mason in the head
he has a visible bullet wound in his forehead, he doesn't have one if you don't.
fun fact: every 60 seconds a minute passes in Africa
Man, while Cold War was definitely alright and a small step up from the installments that surrounded it, I couldn't help but be reminded the entire time I played it of how much better Black Ops II was. The original handled everything, from the story, to the gunplay, to the gore, to the tone, to the story choices, to the voice acting, to the writing, to the weapon variety, to the handling of the Black Ops characters, to the twists, to the freaking MUSIC way better back in the day. It was so freaking good
Ot took me 10 replays on that mossion to realize that i could kill that guy with the sniper 0:05
1 decade and still the best BO I've ever played, thanks treyarch.
Well we finally know what’s canon.
Mason dies.
Menedez dies.
Harper dies.
Karma and Briggs live.

I really love how in the old games villains were successful in their plans. Like Menendez avenging his sister, Imran nuking the 30k marines, Makarov with his no russian. It's impossible to see this now, like in reboots all of villians plans were failing and even in CW Perseus can succeed only once, and that is only if you pick USSR ending.
I got the best ending by accident since I was going to kill what they told you was Mendez but I completely missed since I suck with snipers
Task failed successfully.
PC controls are so weird at least for Cod.
I got the ending where chloe Mason and woods die but Menendez lived. I was like 8 and to this day that one short clip of Menendez's sister still scares tf out of me lmao
I prefer the 19:00 ending. It’s canon and makes the most sense. As opposed to mason just fcking off for 30 years
Nah. 11:44
the story of bo2 is so good, i remember when playing it i had a huge grudge over menendez that i didnt want to just kill him cuz killing him would be mercy
NURSE BATSHIT! WHERES MY SMOKES?!
19:59 Probably the canon ending, since it was confirmed that Mason died in the Suffer With Me mission.
the 2nd one is canon since Samuel’s BO6 description says he fought alongside David and Harper in The Battle of LA
The Truth Lies.
36:55 my First ending was this ending, I was shocked and my reaction was priceless after the ending cutscene
It’s so messed up that the Bops 6 developers want us to believe that option #2 is the canonical ending when we ALL KNOW it should be option #1!
Reznov was born in 1913 and Mason was born in 1933. Freemason references anybody?
what significance are those dates?
One thing I really like about this campaign is that it inspired Black Ops 3's campaign when it came to player loadouts. Not many other Cods since have let your prep before missions in the same way those two did.
Very Nice
The way Menendez kicks Woods the gun but steps on his hand anyway is downright cold.
Dam only call of duty will have you shoot your friend with a barret 50 cal to the knee 3 times and not have the leg be completely blown off.
I love the delivery of the "Al, this is Dave. Dave, this is your dad!" line
Omggg after all these years I just verly found that they put jimmy Kimmel on the ending lmaoooo 🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭
This campaign has the perfect amount of choice, cause, effect imo
11:46 why is karma, mason die and menendez is killed. need more context
Bro he shows the moments where you make the choices leading to each of those characters being killed or surviving. And he even shows the moment where they are either spared or killed as a result of a prior choice. Just watch the start of the video.
IT TOOK ME 12 YEARS TO FINALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT SAVES KARMA AT THE OBAMA! FARID JUMPS IN FRONT OF THE BULLET, I NEVER KNEW!!
To be honest, I kind of like the bad ending better it just seems more realistic that would happen
Yo man why you think the bad ending better give your honest opinion
You think woods get what he deserves at end for being a smart ass

Doesn't make sense because David Mason's the commander of Seal team and its operations. Its pretty easy to get the good ending anyways.
In the best ending, when David asks to see Woods and the guard says, "Another Mason?", what was David thinking?
26:54 what or who is mason gonna get killed by?

I kind of wish there was a sequel to this game that was JUST the aftermath of Menendez triggering Cordis Die afternhis death, all the riots and stuff. I know we already have a COD that had the White House in ruins, but the idea is just so chilling and badass that I would like to see it again
17:32 Menendez had a younger sister and she was dead... I felt that this scene has a meaning. I don't think it only means a sad scene.
Menendez was the greatest villain in CoD history my first playthrough I tried to kill him at every chance only making things worst for every character menendez made all the badass character I grew to love from BO1 look like absolute chumps and fodder
There are 3 characters on which the outcome is dependent so if we square the no. 3 then there would be 9 outcomes not 8, it means there are total 9 outcomes, and I have completed the worst one 🤣
Backwards, each character has 2 possible endings, but there’s 3, so it’s a binary, it would be 8
