Thank you so much, @Recitationist_offical! ❤❤❤❤❤ My husband picked it out for me. He has an amazing eye! ❤❤❤❤❤ Have an AMAZING day and thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video! ❤❤❤❤❤ ~ Alora & Vivian
Good day, @km234able... my apologies for the delay. Yes... there are some AMAZING suppliers in your area. Check out PellWall. We will also be offering classes that will teach you HOW to make these exact accords so you can have control of these accords. And you will be able to add to them, or remove from them... and alter them to fit your artistic creative design! ❤❤❤❤❤ I hope this helps and thank you so much for your love! 🫶🫶🫶~ Alora
Hey there, I love your videos. I wanted to buy the "Aldehydic Accord" but seems like the link to the product you mentioned has been discontinued. Is there another way to buy it?
Good day, LucKie, and welcome to the community. We are working on reformulating all of the accords listed on Creating Perfume. If you go to www.creatingperfume.com, you will find a host of accords to select from. For a direct link to the Aldehydic Accord used in this formulation, you can go here: www.creatingperfume.com/aldehydicaccord.aspx Might we suggest purchasing samples before commiting to a larger quantity, as these materials are full concentrate and a little goes a long way. You can dilute this accord to 10%, 1% and .1% in perfumer's alcohol and test it on a strip and on your skin to see how well it performs at those levels before formulating with it. I hope this was helpful! Sending you lots of loves and many huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs ~ Alora & Vivian
My pleasure... and yes, you sure can!🥰🥰🥰 We recommend diluting in DPG as an alternative to Perfumer's Alcohol for your training and sampling needs! 🥰🥰🥰 Sending you and your loved ones all the very best! ~ Alora & Vivian
Good day, Blewprent, and welcome to the channel... my apologies for the delayed response. Glycerin is not need when using commercial raw materials. DPG is the material you would want to use to help bond oils to alcohol and water final product. Glycerin will separate. But, I've used glycerin in my older formulas when making fragrance for hair... but is still would separate... IPM would be best. I hope this was helpful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Goooooooooood morning, Cindy, and thank you for joining us. I truly hope that this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health. ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 It's wonderful to see that you are interested in creating your own perfume. I tell you what, once you get started, it's almost impossible not to want to try something else! LOL The beauty about all this is that you can make several different possible variations of what we showed on this video, using the SAME 5 ingredients, until you've blended something that's JUST right for you! :-) Please let us know how it goes! I'm super excited to hear! Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being sent your way. Alora, Vivian and Lolo
Good evening down my way Alora, please do not tell me that I will not want to do other things :-) as i have been making my own cold process soaps for two months now and totally addicted to that LOL. I love perfume and Chanel has to be the best perfume in the world. I look forward to seeing more of your fun videos. I will have to order some ingredients so it will be awhile before I can start to make my first perfume. Thank you sooo much I will let you know my results. Have a great day....Hugs back to you all..
Goooood evening, Cindy ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 LOLOLOL... YEP... That's EXACTLY what I'm telling you! I just discovered this channel and I am so excited to try and make this scent. I have a lot to learn. There are so many Aldehydics on the site , how do we know which one is in this formula?
Good day, @Carissab2u567 Thank you for your question!.We're in the process of preparing more fragrance formulations specifically designed for the drop-by-drop method. Stay tuned, as we'll be unveiling each of these formulations in individual LiveStream sessions. I hope this provides clarity and excitement for what's to come! 😍😍😍~ Alora
Thank you so much, @marilyndavid3763, for your lovely comment! ❤️❤️❤️ We love using chip clips or paper accordion blind clips-they work perfectly! ❤️❤️❤️ ~ Alora & Vivian
Gooooooooooooooooooood morning, Shirley Johnson. My apologies for the late response. We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 Actually, I do have a very nice formulation that you can use if you like. It's pretty extensive. Meaning, it has a LOT of ingredients. Would you like for me to make a video for you and list the ingredients in the comments... or would you like email me at aloradillon at yahoo (.com)? I can send you a copy of the formulation sheet and scale measurements. Hope you are having a SUPER lovely day! 💗💗💗💗💗 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora, Vivian and Lolo 💞💞💞💞💞💞
My question is where do you find fragrance oils (not essential oils or absolutes) that are concentrated enough to where they can be diluted with alcohol and still be very potent? I've bought fragrance oils before, but they're not very rich. Like they have the engine of a Toyota when I'm wanting the power/concentration to have the engine of a Corvette. Any suggestion people? Money is not an issue. I just need high quality fragrance oils that are severely potent.
Good evening, Trinitarian Pentecostal, and welcome to the community! We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health. 😍🌼🤗 We completely know EXACTLY what you are talking about. You want the raw materials in their 100% full strength state. Also, you want the blends, such as the accords we are working with, WITHOUT being cut. Well... You've DEFINITELY come to the right place! 😊😊😊 Our suggestion would be to browse www.creatingperfume.com and then send them an email stating what you are wanting. Susan Lemmon, the owner of the company, is a private perfumer who has been there and dealt with the frustrations of having the watered down fragrance oils that manufacturers CLAIM to be full strength, when in fact, they are CUT. So... Susan has built a solid company that offers SERIOUS perfumers the FULL STRENGTH, NO CUTTING ingredients that you would work with if you were in a top fragrance house such as IFF, Givaudan, Firmenich, etc. And let me WARN YOU NOW... these ingredients are exceptionally potent to the point that CUTTING them is the only way to get their true scent to open up. One such ingredient is the COCOA ALDEHYDE NATURAL which will KNOCK YOUR A** OUT if you smell it from the bottle. I suggest you dilute this to at LEAST 10% before taking a close up sniff! LOL Okay... so, let us know how it goes and if you are able to find the higher quality, full strength aroma chemicals and accords that you have been looking for at www.creatingperfume.com. Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora, Vivian and Lolo 💞💞 💞 💞 💞 💞
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwws!!! 💞💞 💞 💞 💞 💞 Thank you sooooooooooooo much, Trinitarian Pentecostal! I truly hope this was helpful to you and that you have a LOVELY day creating masterpieces with fragrance! Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora 🌺💮🏵️
Hello, I have a question on Rollo-on Body Oils for sale that are popular Fragrances labeled "Type"... what are they using to dilute the oils because im pretty sure theyre using uncut on the stronger scented ones?
Goooooooooood afternoon, Frank Lubin, and welcome to the community. 💕💕💕 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 Roll On body oils that are sold for direct use, meaning you don't have to dilute them to wear them, are normally cut by 90%. Because of the nature of the carrier, meaning Fractionated Coconut Oil (FCO), Isopropyl Myristate (IPM), TriEthyl Citrate (TEC), Jojoba Oil, DiPropylene Glycol (DPG) and other possible carriers, the fragrance is delivered into the bloodstream differently than when applied with alcohol. So, less fragrance should be used in this type of product. However, not all body oil sellers will adhere to the guidelines and will use a huge amount of fragrance in a body oil. This can cause irritation, allergies and also can overtax the body's system when trying to filter it out of the body. I suggest visiting IFRAorg.org to find out more about the safe levels of fragrance that can be used in end products. "Type" body oils are those products that have used a pre-blended formulation that smells like something already on the market such as designer brands. Again, these will get diluted into a thick carrier in preparation for selling. They are SUPPOSED to be IFRA compliant and come with a certificate of compliance. But, I have only seen a handful of suppliers who actually do this. There are suppliers that sell the "Type" concentrates at wholesale prices such as Save on Scents (they do not carry the IFRA certificates of compliance that I know of). They have them in three levels of concentrate and will give you directions on how to dilute them for what product. So far, I have not had any success in diluting their concentrates into Alcohol as it always changes the fragrance and weakens it. This is because the concentrates they are selling are already diluted in a carrier that seems to not be very compatible with Perfumers Alcohol. My guess is a mixture of DPG, IPM and other carriers. However, they ARE compatible with Body Oil type diluents such as FCO, IPM, fixed oils such as Jojoba, Sweet Almond, etc. Just be aware that most fixed oils spoil relatively quickly. Therefore, I suggest only using Fractionated Coconut Oil (FCO) as it pretty much has an indefinite shelf life. LOL IPM is nice too and is a skin enhancer. I hope this was helpful and that you have a SUPER LOVELY day! 🌨️🌞🌨️ Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
you guys have such a passion for fragrance creation but I watch the video, I can see that you are using your own made accords, or am I mistaken? If you create from 'accords' technically they are already a blend (?) as a student, I need to know the numbers (%) and oil content of the accord...then I can see how your mix works out
Oh WOW Doug Williams... I am SUPER SUPER sorry for not getting back to you sooner!! We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 Vivian and I make our own accords, however, Ms. Susan from CreatingPerfume.com already carries over 80 in stock that she created over the years. So... if you want to get some in your hands, SHE's the one to talk to. As for the dilution rates, they vary from ingredient to ingredient... some ingredients carry SEVERAL amazing and transformed scents when they are diluted. So, my motto is... If you have enough Bottles/droppers/labels and diluent, then you will be GOOD to go when you dilute your ingredients into 1%, 5%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 50%, 75% and 90% and of course, 100%.👃👃👃 Keep us in the loop as to how you are doing! 👌👌👌 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
Sorry, ORBZ23... I tend to have the gift of gab. 😂😂😂 I truly apologize for the winded video. I hope you still enjoyed it. 🌼 🌺 🌸 💮 🏵️ Have an absolutely GORGEOUS day! 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
Awwwwwwwwwwww thank you, ORBZ23! 💖💖💖💖💖💖 You are a sweetheart! I can definitely do a special video talking about building fragrances that last longer. This is an EXCELLENT topic to cover! 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗 Thank you for the suggestion! I will see about getting Vivian to help me create one this Sunday afternoon! May you and your family have a LOVELY weekend.☀️🌺☀️🌺☀️ Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
Hi, I am a hobby "perfumer" (I really mean hobby) and have seen some of you videos in the past. By the way, thank you for sharing you passion and experiences. However, I think, this is the right way to go, I mean, using pure "universal" materials: Essential Oils (EO) and Aroma Chemicals/Molecules (AC). I even think, if you allow, that accords are less helpful for the learning process of making scents, professionally. Also therefore because they are "less" universal than EOs and ACs. Maybe, you can try something in-between by having one video that uses pre-made accords and an other video that use the only (or mostly) EOs and ACs. Also, if you allow, I would like to suggest you to additionally make some video on popular/distinguished accords. With popular/distinguished accords I mean accords that makes some perfums distinguished , like (1) Leather accords, (1) Fouger accord, etc. For example, the Chanel Nr. 5, as far as I know, has two distinguished accords: (1) The Aldehydic-Citrus-With-Floral accord (Aldehydes C10, C12, ..., temped by (I think) natural fine Ylang-Ylang and Jasmin) and (2) a Powdery-Animalic-Musky accord. PS: Yes, some few Aroma Chemicals like, "Suederol LT", are blends (which means accords), but since they are made by universal chemical companies, they are more universal, I think. Regards, Aboubakr Achraf El Ghazi
Good evening, Aboubakr Achraf El Ghazi, and welcome to the community! 😍 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in excellent health. This is a WONDERFUL comment! Vivian and I are starting off with the Accords, at the moment, as we slowly build back up our perfumer's organ with the quality EO and AC. :-) We believe that for beginners, getting over the fear of blending that first formulation is critical and we are trying to take away the fear of using something stronger than body oils :-) LOL We will continue to make simple 5 ingredient formulations using the accords while in the meantime working toward introducing the ACs and EOs individually so they do not scare viewers off. LOL... If it becomes too complicated, people throw their hands up in the air and run away. 😍 So, we will work to appease everyone watching... those who enjoy working with ONLY the Accords, and for those who are wanting to ADVANCE to a more professional level! Hopefully, we can bring about the best of both worlds. 😍😍😍😍 And you are correct... Chanel No 5 uses a host of different Aldehydes and other aromatic chemicals along with Essential Oils. Of course, when Ernest Beaux created it back in the early twenties, the world of perfume was on a whole other plane. Formulations were crafted using the best natural ingredients in the world whereas today, the majority of those ingredients have been banned, restricted or standardized by the IFRA Organization. I believe today, only about a maximum of 10% of a formula concentrate is made up of Natural Ingredients where as 100 years ago, it was the other way around. It is OUR hope to reverse this back to where it was 100 years ago... more natural and enhance with aromatic chemicals :-) Or maybe we can get it to 50/50! LOL It's our goal, at least. 😍😍😍 I will definitely start introducing the Universal Raw Materials so that any viewer watching can obtain them from a supplier closer to home as this makes perfect sense! 😍 So thank you so much for pointing this out. Also, we will work toward creating the formulations that make popular accords. This is an EXCELLENT idea! We TRULY appreciate your comment! This was EXTREMELY helpful!!! 😍😍😍 We hope that you have a LOVELY day crafting amazing masterpieces through scent! Lots of huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being sent your way! Alora, Vivian and Lolo
Hi, thank you for the replay and these detailed explanations. I really appreciate that, very kindly. I have to thank you for sharing all this valuable knowledge, which requires a lot of serious researches and efforts, with the community. Based on you plan, I think what is coming will be even more amazing and more valuable. Regards, Aboubakr Achraf El Ghazi
I will work on a tweaked version for you and let you know when it's read :-) OMG... I'm so excited!!! :-) Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 Alora and Vivian
Hi there, beautiful ladies! I so loved your video. Quick question, what is aldehydic accord, and where can I buy it? Also, I just subscribed to your channel:) Take care, and God Bless!
Gooooooooooood evening, Rudy Chavarria, and welcome back! 😍😍😍😍😍😍 Projection and longevity are achieved by experimentation. I know that sounds like an easy cop out, but it really comes down to whatever you have in your formula and doing some trial studies to discover what works best with what. If you want something that has amazing staying power, you tend to use those ingredients that have heavier molecules such as Woods, Resins, Balsams, Musks, Mosses, Marine notes and other animalic scents. But when trying to achieve projection WITH staying power, that takes experimenting. As normally one is sacrificed for the other. Not always, though... so, testing is what helps you discover what does work and what doesn't. However, there are some amazing master perfumers in the world who have done enough trials to have figured out how to achieve both... and this is why they are the masters. LOL... But, I do know that for me, I tend to use aldehydes to help with projection along with Hedione HC. It's pretty difficult to achieve a strong, long lasting projection with naturals... although, I do have some natural aldehydes that are nice. And of course, if you really enjoy making men's colognes, the Dihydro Myrcenol is a must have for a citrusy, metal note that gives excellent projection. 🤗🤗🤗🤗 I hope this was helpful! ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 If ever there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know. ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora, Vivian and Lolo 💞💞 💞 💞 💞 💞
Thank you kindly for the response. You guys kill me way to make fun and educational. My mind it's just blown as to how to make something that is truly your own.
Oh my goodness... I am SOOOOOOOOOOO happy that you are excited about making fragrances that are truly unique to you and MADE by you! 🤗🤗🤗 It's truly one of the most ADDICTING, yet REWARDING hobbies. You can make so many amazing blends for yourself AND for your family and friends. And once you feel confident in making your own, personalized accords, then you can help guide others to enjoy the SAME experience. There truly are a gazillion possible ways to create a formula... and probably more! LOL Just as there are endless ways to blend colors, so too are there with fragrance ingredients. The sky is TRULY the limit... and your imagination will never run out of ideas! ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 It is a blessing to have you joining us and we hope we can continue to help deliver quality content that will help you grow and achieve personal masterpieces that you can be proud to wear, share and call your OWN. 😍🌸🤗🌼😍🌸🤗🌼 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora, Vivian and Lolo 💞💞 💞 💞 💞 💞
Good day, @nachaestuart3886! Thank you! I used Perfumer's Alcohol for this creation. It's a specially denatured ethanol designed for fragrances. It ensures that the scent is carried effectively without interfering with the aromatic profile. It's the preferred choice for many in the world of fine perfumery because of its optimal evaporation and blending properties. 🌸💧🌹🌸💧🌹 ~ Alora
wonderful experience! thanks for the amazing video. if you have a chance could you share your idea for the ingredients of Zara " Vibrant leather Boise "?
Thank you, alizaib goraya! We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 We hope you have an AMAZING day! 😊 😊 😊 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora, Vivian and Lolo 💞💞💞💞💞💞
Goooooooooood afternoon, Abdus Samad. We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 If you are not able to get your hands on Perfumer's alcohol, then you can use IsoPropyl Myristate (IPM) or TriEthyl Citrate (TEC) as your carrier. IPM is a synthetic carrier with no odor and TEC is a natural carrier with a slight odor. Both are acceptable as carriers. However, IPM is the most popular. You could also use Fractionated Coconut Oil (FCO) if you wish to create a roll-on type body oil. I hope this was helpful! Have a LOVELY day and Happy New Year! Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
When formulating a fragrance, always remember to factor in the type of carrier you plan to use. This way, you build your fragrance based on this. A fragrance's longevity and sillage all depends on the way the fragrance formula was crafted as well as the environment, the wearer, their chemistry, etc. There are just WAY too many variables to state whether or not a fragrance's longevity or sillage will increase or decrease. 😘😘😘😘😘😘 This is why fragrance is completely different on you than it is on me and anyone else. It's completely personal. 😘😘😘😘😘😘 Hope this was helpful! HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺 Alora 💖💖💖
Good morning once again, Imran Ali 😁😁😁 Currently, Vivian and I acquire these specific accords from CreatingPerfume.com. Susan Lemmon is the master perfumer behind these accords. 👃👃👃 We hope you have a LOVELY day! 🌺 🌺 🌺 Alora, Vivian and Lolo 💞💞💞💞💞💞
Love your videos I ordered all the stuff from Susan to make the Chanel Number 5 to me the aldehydic Accord is there's too much of it it's really really really strong on the top the top note when you first smell it that's it's to me it overpowers the perfume but maybe that's how it's supposed to smell but I'm playing around with your formula and I think I'm going to cut back on that it just seems too sweet to me.
Goooooooooooood evening, The 2 wheel life, and thank you soooooooo much for ordering an accord kit. 💖💖💖💖💖💖 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 You are ABSOLUTELY on target with your observations with the accords. Even with the aldehyde accord diluted at 20%, it still needs to be diluted even more. And, you will notice that as it matures over the next 6 to 8 weeks, it only gets stronger. I worked on a new formulation that uses an Iris aroma chemical (iso naline 95), animalis hypo 27 in TEC by Synarome and vanillin. I still want to try to incorporate some oriental ingredients such as balsams and resins and I want to test it out with a muguet (like a cyclamen or lily of the valley). There are simply soooooooo many ways to go with this in making an amazing fragrance inspired by Chanel No 5. 🌼 🌺 🌸 💮 🏵️ I really cannot wait for these holiday work hours to be over so I can get back into my studio and share more formulations. We could spend a MONTH alone on creating scents inspired by Chanel No 5. Which honestly, I think Vivian and I should do. 😋😋😋 Maybe I can convince her to sit down with me and create 30 or more aldehydic type fragrance formulations so we can upload them and have one feature each day. 😘😘😘😘😘😘 Let me know if you would be interested in this... but the most AMAZING thing is that you are already experimenting... you are getting to know your ingredients and THAT is EXACTLY what these kits are for. Getting you to experiment without fear. 😘😘😘😘😘😘 I hope you are having FUN blending and taking excellent notes! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
Thanks for your quick reply yes I would love if you and Vivian with experiment further with this and make some more videos. You mentioned a dilution of 20% am I supposed to have this deluded I'm a little confused about your comment about the 20% dilution I didn't purchase it as a kit I purchased all the ingredients in half ounce bottles from Susan. Please let me know if I'm supposed to dilute it to 20% I'll do that maybe that's why I think it's too strong. Yeah watching your videos how I found out about creatingperfume.com, Susan is great she's answered every question I've ever had askedher her. I've only been making perfume or learning about making perfume for about a month now it's a lot more complicated than I thought but I'm enjoying it and I'm going to keep plugging away and I enjoy watching your videos so thank you for your comments.
I should be home by Tuesday of next week and will put together a video to answer all your questions. So let me know if you have more that I can answer as any question you have, most likely, someone else will have too! 💖💖💖💖💖💖 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 Looking forward to making you a video 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
Wonderful...! Is this how the commercial fragrances are made? Such as YSL, Christian Dior, Versace etc... ? How to make them to become edc, edt, edp, and parfum? Im not so clear towards this. And what is the 20:80, 1:4, etc... Thank you so much for your experience and knowledge.
Goooooooooooooood evening, Brightstar Lavandula and welcome to the community. ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 These earlier videos are using ACCORDS to help those just starting out to get used to blending without breaking the bank. These are more designed to help train your nose rather than create commercially viable fragrances. Vivian and I are working on new Videos for 2018 where we are doing our best to bring to you actual formulations we are working on in our personal lab. They are fragrance formulations that you should be able to easily replicate and alter to make your own and use commercially. 💛 💚 💙 💜 💛 💚 💙 💜 We will also be working with creating ACCORDS in later videos once we get going with featuring fragrance formulations and we hope you will join us. 😘😘😘😘😘😘 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
I purchased several oils from Perfumers Apprentice and the bottles do not come with a dropper, can I purchase droplets separately? The bottles look very similar to yours.
Gooooooooooood evening, Roland 😍 🌸 🤗 You definitely can purchase dropper tops separately. For the 15 ML bottles we have, we order the 18-400 thread dropper top. You can get them from Discount Vials which is where we get ours from: www.discountvials.com/standard-dropper-assembly-18-400-x-66-mm/ If you contact Laura Roeth and let her know you were referred by Drop by Drop (Alora Dillon), they will give you a discount. And nope, we don't make anything on the referral! 😍 Let me know how it works out! 💞💞💞💞💞💞 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora 🌸💗🌸
i really really want to start selling perfume but i’m not sure where to start do you have any advice or know any websites that i should check out ? like where to get essential oils and bottles and everything else
Goooooooooooood evening, Lilly L and welcome to the craziness of fragrance addiction! LOL... You are definitely in good company with all the amazing viewers who are part of the this community. 💖💖💖💖💖💖 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health and ready for an amazing New Year! 😍 🌸 🤗 Before I send you off to different websites, please let me know what you are looking to do? Are you wanting to create your own signature scents and sell them under your name? Or are you wanting to create something on the lines of Body Oils that are premade and ready to be added to a carrier such as Fractionated Coconut Oil and to be sold on sites such as Etsy, Ebay, Amazon or even your own site? Regardless of what you want to do, I believe the BEST place to start off would be CreatingPerfume.com. Susan Lemmon is the owner of that company and she has helped numerous people start their own fragrance stores by either creating the formulations herself for a fee, or by pointing you in the direction of a formulator such as myself and other credible formulators she has on speed dial. There is one particular gentleman she works with who only does formulations day in and day out. It's his passion and would most likely help you create your own line of fragrances. But... I would not discount creating your own fragrance formulations as you grow your business. It's extremely addictive, fun and rewarding when you discover a formulation that you created to be exactly what you were envisioning. So, let me know what path you are interested in taking so I can better help you prepare. Also, visit creatingperfume.com to get a feel as to the vast amount of possibilities that can be created from their library of ingredients. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Also, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
Alora Dillon thank you for replying so quickly, i really appreciate it :) i’m not sure if this makes any sense but i was looking to make perfume that’s inspired by songs that i enjoy and then sell them on etsy I’m new to this but it really calls out to me and i feel like i can see myself doing this for a while... i know it’s super cheesy but my mom always says i might as well make money while doing something i’ll enjoy
Well, Sweetie.... I have to agree 100% with your mom! She's a smart woman! 😍😍😍😍😍 And creating fragrances based off of songs is actually something people already do. And people create fragrances based off of paintings, memories, pictures, sounds, people, zodiac, stars, etc... so, it's not cheesy at ALL! 🌻 🌼 🌺 🌸 💮 🏵️ In fact, I think it's brilliant because you are already one step ahead because you already are envisioning what your fragrance is going to smell like. And that is something that cannot be taught. So... KUDOS on this. Now... just like with learning to paint and learning to read music, both require time getting to know the materials. With paint, it's getting to know your colors... and what medium you prefer such as oils, watercolors, etc. And of course, with Music, it's about getting to know the notes and your medium is what instrument you use to create your songs be it piano, drums, bass, brass, etc... you get the picture. LOL So... I will tell you like I've told so many people I have worked with. It takes a LOT of time, patience and passion to develop this craft. And, you may never create that number one hit or masterpiece that the whole world seems to love. But as long as YOU love it... and YOU continue to be passionate about making fragrances that resonate with you, then the rest of the world doesn't matter... because somewhere, someone will connect with your fragrance. Maybe 1 other person or millions, as long as you are happy with what you are doing, then I'm sure it will resonate with at least one or more people. And if that can help you make a little bit of money along the way, then I say GO FOR IT! At least you can reinvest your money back into your passion that one day may well become your full time... well, I can't really call it a JOB when you are doing what you really love. Like me... I could do this 24/7 and NEVER get tired of it. No matter how many times I fail in a day... I look forward to the next day when I make that ONE possible fragrance that resonates with my being... my heart... my soul. This is what I hope you feel when you begin your journey. And I hope that Vivian, Dave and I can help you along the way. So... go check out CreatingPerfume.com and start looking over each ingredient. I will see if I can pick out a few ingredients for you to dabble with. Just let me know what you are thinking... like, what are you envisioning using your senses when you are listening to a song. The smells that you imagine resonating with the melody of that song. We can start there! 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗 Looking forward to hearing from you! And of course... HAPPY NEW YEAR! 💖 💛 💚 💙 💜 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
You lady’s a great I love the way how u explain things but one thing I did not understand for example if I’m going to turn what u have mixed in this recipe into a 50ml or 100ml perfume how do u do the numbers!?
Gooooooooooood morning, Hussein Alraihani and thank you for the lovely comment. My apologies for the delayed reply. God bless and we hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 I just want to be sure that you don't plan to turn this formulation into a product as it's not intended to be a final product. Trust me, you will not get any buyers! LOL 🙃 😋 😜 🤣 This is merely a trial that we made up on the spot using five accords for testing and training our nose. This formulation would most likely need to be reworked several times and with addition and removal of ingredients. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 I have created a video that discusses using Volume as the bases of creating your final products rather than weight. But, I highly suggest using weight as it is more accurate. There are FOUR videos pertaining to the math needed to understand how to upscale a formulation in preparation for larger quantity orders. Start here: th-cam.com/video/X10cfW9XDpQ/w-d-xo.html After watching all four, let me know if there are any other questions you might have. 😍😍😍 Have and absolutely LOVELY day and Happy Holidays! God bless! 🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
Hi, I want to start making fragrances and I'm not sure where I should buy my essential oils. Do you know of any cheaper places to get good essential oils? Thank you.
Goooooooooooooooooooooooood evening, J_Da_Foxx, and welcome to the community. We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health. 😍😍😍😍😍 I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited that your are interested in making your own bespoke perfumes! It truly makes me beam when I see comments of viewers just starting out. I believe you are gonna LOVE the journey. There's definitely nothing more unique and personable then your own blend that YOU created. ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 There are a LOT of essential oil companies all over the internet. Unfortunately, the cheaper the price, most likely, the cheaper the quality. HOWEVER... the GREAT thing is that the BEST quality ingredients are almost NEVER offered without an affordable sample! 3 to 6 drops up to 1 ML to 2 ML of a natural oil is A LOT in the fragrance world. This is because they are of the HIGHEST concentrate AND, you can DILUTE them, yourself! Which will give you a LOT more to experiment with WITHOUT sacrificing your wallet. When it comes to High Quality Natural Oils, it's all about the quality... not the quantity. Because every perfumer knows that a 1 ML sample of the highest quality ingredient is WORTH its weight in gold! :-) For example: MOROCCAN ROSE ABSOLUTE It's a GORGEOUS natural oil... PLUS, it's an absolute which means it will be MORE concentrated and fragrant due to its form of extraction, than that of the essential oil, which is distilled. ALL that is needed is 3% dilution! That's 3 drops per 100 drops of Isopropyl Myristate (IPM) or Fractionated Coconut Oil (FCO) to create a tester. 1 ML is roughly 48 drops depending on your dropper. That being said, that means that you can make roughly 16 TESTERS from ONE sample. And the COST for a 1 ML sample of Moroccan Rose Absolute is about $8. So... it can be quite affordable when just starting out in natural perfume making and you can test SEVERAL different HIGH QUALITY ingredients without breaking the bank. I'm going to be testing out the Creating Perfume's naturals within the month and I'm hoping that when I test each one, the owner will be willing to allow my viewers to get natural samples WITH the glass bottle AND dropper, like with my other reviews. However, in the meantime, there is Eden Botanical, which offers the HIGHEST quality ingredient samples, thus far, that I know of. There's also Amazon. ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 If I can't find it elsewhere, I'm almost sure to find whatever I need on Amazon. LOL Just make sure when you are looking for essential oils, that you are getting Aromatherapy Grade. However, even that is not always a sure bet that you will get PURE, high quality oils. But it's a START, right? If you want me to help you do a search on Amazon for some oils, let me know what scents you're looking for. I'll even see if the owner of Creating Perfume will make a special sample pack for you! Oh wow... that would be cool. OH... and check out Eden Botanical's SAMPLE PACKS! LOL... I cannot believe I almost forgot that! They are CRAZY affordable! :-) Then, all you need is FCO or IPM... and I think you can get the FCO on Eden Botanical... and IPM on Creating Perfume or Amazon. I hope this helped, Sweetie! And WELCOME to the WORLD of BeSpoke Perfumery! 🌸🤗🌸🤗🌸🤗🌸🤗🌸🤗 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora, Vivian and Lolo ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜
Thank you so much! I was looking at The Perfumer's Apprentice website and I found most of the EOs I wanted in 4ml for $3.00 - $4.00. Do you think that is a good deal?
YES!!!! 🌸🤗🌸🤗🌸🤗🌸🤗 That's AWESOME! And let me know if you need help. AND, of course... what you get. ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 Promise me you won't get discouraged. It takes a little bit of time to get used to the more concentrated odors that come from the EO and Absolutes... all it takes is diluting them so their aroma will blossom! ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs and I CANNOT wait to hear what you order!!! I'm so excited!!!!❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 Alora

Absolutely SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET! And yep... completely normal... you're not crazy at all! If it smells amazing and you love it, then that's all that matters! 🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼 We hope that you and your loved ones have an absolutely LOVELY day! 🌞🌞🌞 Keeeeeeeeeeeeeeep blending and... lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora Dillon thank youuuu hope you are having an amazing day too! I also had an issue with mine the scent is perfect. I used minstrel perfumers alcohol base but I have been having issues getting the perfume to last a really long time. Is there anything I can add to my perfume to make it longer lasting?
Howdy, Sweetie... Vivian and I are about to go onto a live stream that addresses this very topic. If you are unable to attend, then let me state that fragrance longevity is created in the fragrance formulation by using higher molecular weighted aroma chemicals that last HOURS on a scent strip and also on the skin. These are typically called bases and that is why you want to build a fragrance with at least one or two bases so that your fragrance can have a bit of longevity. Or, at least, that is my opinion and experience. Musks, resins, woods, vanilla, some spices, mosses, some marine notes, animalics such as ambergris, castoreum, labdanum (although it's technically a resin, it is classified as an animalic note), Hypo Animalis... there are a host of natural and synthetic aroma chemicals that can provide the longevity you are wanting... however, you will need to build your fragrance around them, keeping in mind that they play a huge part AND do alter the final result of your fragrance. That does not mean that the fragrance you created is bad... it just means that you have to spray it more often... and there are SEVERAL fragrances on the market that require just that! Sometimes, we don't want to have the base dry down of a musk, resin, etc... and only fresh, green and aquatic notes... nothing wrong with that at all! Just spray more often! LOL I hope this was helpful and that you and your loved ones have an absolutely LOVELY day! 🌞🌞🌞 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
Alora Dillon thank you ever so much!!!! I would really love to attend the live stream. If I can’t I will definitely watch it regardless :) thank you again!!
Gooooooood evening, Valerie Odom! Thank you so much for the positive comment!! 🤗🤗🤗 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 The aldehydic accord we used in this video is from Creating Perfume (goo.gl/1grhMr). Susan Lemmon is a perfumer and creates her own accords. However, you can create your own aldehydic accord. Here is a DEMO FORMULA featured on The Good Scents Company website: *Aldehydic Floral* *Patent 3,963,783 4-Methyl-8-vinyl-4,7- and -4,8-nonadienals* *For Fragrance Use* 15.00 nonanal 10% 5.00 decanal 10% 15.00 undecanal 10% 5.00 dodecanal 10% 150.00 phenethyl alcohol 90.00 citronellol 60.00 geraniol 15.00 linalool 60.00 linalyl acetate 120.00 benzyl acetate 30.00 woody acetate 60.00 hydroxycitronellal 20.00 alpha-amyl cinnamaldehyde 120.00 alpha-isomethyl ionone (50% min.) 25.00 ylang ylang oil 30.00 coumarin 5.00 neroli oil bigarde 10.00 musk ambrette replacer 20.00 musk ketone 30.00 geranium oil terpeneless 10% 30.00 gamma-undecalactone 1% 70.00 IPM 985.00 Total I hope this was helpful and that you have an absolutely GORGEOUS day! 🌨️🌞🌨️ Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Gooooooooooooooood morning, sadriyah lu. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 I hope this message finds you and your family doing well and in good health. 💓 💛 💚 💙 💜 We could always do a fragrance inspired by Lacoste Red. Can you do me a favor and provide your description of the fragrance as well as what you love most about it? Maybe we can create something for you that is within the same vein and uniquely yours, if this is okay? 😍 🌸 🤗 We hope you have a SUPER lovely weekend!!! 🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Goooood evening, good imoh and welcome to the community. We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 Hands down, the best supplier in the UK would be PellWall.com owned by Perfumer, Chris Bartlett. 😍😍😍😍😍😍 I hope this was helpful and that you have an absolutely GORGEOUS day!🌞🌞🌞 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
Gooooooooooooooooood morning, Daunta Tyler 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞 I hope this message finds you and your family doing well! 😍 🌸 🤗 Thank you for the cheering! Lots of love being SCENT your way! 🤗🤗🤗 To answer your question, I would suggest not using distilled water for diluting only because Oil and Water are not lovers of one another. However, in a final fragrance, you can definitely blend up to about 3% of distilled water into your fragrance after adding Perfumers Alcohol. If you are using EverClear, then you do not need to add additional water because EverClear contains enough water. 💖 💛 💚 💙 💜 I hope this was helpful and that you and your family have an absolutely LOVELY day! ☀️🌹☀️🌹☀️🌹 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
Hi, great video. Really helpful for me trying to get in to perfumery, did you make the accords or buy them ready made. Do you have any recommendations on where to pick up the accords / formulas to make the accord. I think these accords are especially hard to come buy here in the UK as there are no perfume making hobby (perfumery?) sites. Thanks.
Gooooooooooood afternoon, Светлин Георгиев and welcome to the community. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 These fragrance samples were made using Accords created by Mrs Susan at CreatingPerfume.com. She does ship to the UK. However, there is PellWall.com that is based out of the UK and owned by Chris Bartlett who is a VERY active perfumer and LOVES to help aspiring perfumers. He truly is AMAZING! Here is his Bio: chris-bartlett.me.uk/ 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗 Vivian and I will be doing videos on how to create your OWN accords. Dave Johnson from Mountain Aromatics also loves to make accords. It's his number one obsession. 😁😁😁 So, give him a shout out, as well, to help you with your journey on making one of a kind accords 😁😁😁 I will see if Vivian will be willing to record some awesome accord building videos with the formulations, too. She's also VERY good at making accords. 😘😘😘😘😘😘 I hope this was helpful and that you have a SUPER lovely day! 💮💮💮 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Gooooooooooooood evening, Susey Phoenixx, and thank you sooooooooooo much for the lovely comment! 😍😍😍 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health. 😍🌼🤗 I hope you get to try some of these out. They are FUN! If you like the smell of roses, I have to say... Formula #39's remake kicks some major booty! It's a HUGE hit at Vivian's work. It also uses the diluted oils. So, it's truer to what we will be doing in the future. :-) OMG... we cannot wait to bring you guys SOOOO much more!!!!❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 We hope that you have a LOVELY day and also an AWESOME week! ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 And be sure to reach out to us if you have ANY questions pertaining to creating perfume at home 🌹 🌻 🌼 🌸 🌺💮🏵️ Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Good afternoon, Heather, and welcome to the community. I hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health. Vivian and I will definitely look into making something that is inspired by Pleasures - Estee Lauder. I used to work for Estee Laude while in Germany and LOVED that fragrance. Of course, along with a lot of their other fragrances, too :-) Cinnabar was one of my favorites by them along with Beautiful and Tuscany Per Donna. :-) Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much for loving our videos and we hope you continue to enjoy them! Lots of loves and many huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being sent your way! Alora, Vivian and Lolo
Alora Dillon Aw that's great to hear!!😍 well I'll keep tuning in & keep an eye out for it. Thank you for seeing my comment & replying, I appreciate it!!😊
I agree with you both, Estee Laude is my favorite Perfume company, I wear Pleasures and Beautiful on a daily basis and would love to be able to make something at home that would basically dupe it without the price that comes along with it so please do keep working on trying to get a formula together for both of them. Thank you so much.
Good afternoon, Cindy Strause, and welcome to the community! 💓 💛 💚 💙 💜 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health... and of course, having a FANTASTIC day! 💓 💛 💚 💙 💜 Pleasures is a bit more difficult to duplicate... however, I do have a nice Beautiful type fragrance. I'll see if I can pull the ingredients. It's a LONG LONG LONG list. So, be prepared! LOL 💓 💛 💚 💙 💜 It's been a while since we've made it. Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora, Vivian and Lolo 💞💞💞💞💞💞
Goooooooooood morning, The 2 wheel life... I hope you are doing well along with your family and loved ones!!!🤗😍🤗😍 Currently, I dilute all of Ms. Susan's Accords at 20% so that I can test them with other accords and diluted ingredients. In fact, I like diluting ALL of my ingredients to 20% so that I can see how they will react to one another before I start blending at full strength. But, as you know, some ingredients need to be diluted even when working on a formulation such as Aldehydes. But let me warn you now!!! DO NOT... I repeat, do NOT smell RIBES MERCAPTAN™ PFW at full strength. In fact, plug your nose while you are diluting it to 1%. It is the WORST smelling ingredient I've ever had the displeasure of smelling at full strength. 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 I did, however, read something quite surprising while on my trip to California. It seems that the great perfumer, Jean-Claude Ellena from the house of Hermes stated that he liked to smell ingredients on a strip at 5% dilution in alcohol. So... I'm thinking about trying this approach. The problem with this is that the alcohol dissipates or evaporates rather quickly... so, anything I dilute on that day will have to be thrown out since by the end of the day, it will no longer be at 5% due to the evaporation rate. But hey... it's worth a try!!! I hope this was helpful and have a SUPER DUPER lovely day!!💛 💚 💙 💜💛 💚 💙 💜 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooood evening, Anoosh! I hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 AWESOME! I cannot wait for you to try it out! I reworked the formula, too :-) I wanted to see how vastly different the perfume would be if I changed it up quite a bit! :-) Here is what I did using my scale. 9 Drops Aldehydic Accord (.158 ML) 10 Drops Ylang Ylang Accord (.204 ML) 14 Drops Lily of the Valley Accord (.274 ML) 20 Drops Rose Jasmine Accord (.444 ML) 42 Drops Sandalwood Vanilla Accord (.954 ML) ________________________________________ 95 Drops Total (2.034 ML) Vivian and I both agree that her formula was a lot truer to the classical Chanel No 5 characteristic. The second one was designed more so to increase the longevity by increasing the base ingredients. :-) The great thing is that it shows HOW vastly different TWO scents can be using the exact same ingredients! I hope you have FUN and let me know if you do two different formulations and what your results were. Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs!!! Alora
Welcome aboard, Mimi Avila! It's a pleasure to have you joining our family of perfumers. Looking forward to being a part of your fragrance journey! Sending you lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs ~ Alora
Good afternoon, Bonyfus Martin.💜 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health. 😍🌼🤗 The accords used in this video are a mixture of Naturals and Aroma Chemicals (Synthetics) 🌹 🌻 🌼 🌸 🌺. In the 5 ingredient formulas (recipes), we are using the pre-blended accords offered by Creating Perfume. They are a great starting point in learning how Natural and Aroma Chemicals compliment one another. However, we are working on another series that will talk about using JUST naturals. I currently have about 109 Natural oils and plan to increase this number as we go. Although most of my natural ingredients come from Creating Perfume, I do have a few from other resources that I may throw in here and there. But for the most part, I'm trying to make it easier for viewers to get things in one place. 😍🌼🤗 There are also Natural Isolates that we have that are AMAZING. As we move forward, Vivian and I will work hard to satisfy each type of viewer... those who enjoy working with Naturals only, as well as those who enjoy adding Aroma Chemicals to their natural blends. :-)🤗🤗🤗 I hope this was helpful and THANK YOU so much for stopping by and joining us.😍😍😍 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora, Vivian and Lolo 💞💞 💞 💞 💞 💞
It truly is, Diamond Runner! 😊😊😊 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
Would it be easier to put the perfume into Roller ball bottles to be easier for people using the perfume oils to just roll on rather than use a dripper. Just a thought. 😊
Excellent question, Tanya! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Roller bottles are not exact or create the same amount each time you roll it. And if you are rolling it directly onto the skin, then your skin cells and natural body chemicals will contaminate the oil. This is why we highly suggest not sharing your fragrance roll-on body oils with anyone else unless you do not mind sharing body chemistry and skin cells. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ To keep a formulation completely clean and the same amount of material each time your formulate, drops are better. However, using a scale and weighing out each drop is even more accurate and the preferred way to formulate in the industry. I hope this was helpful! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ ~ Alora & Vivian
@@AloraDillon thankyou for such a detailed answer I appreciate it alot, I hadn't thought of skin cells rolling around with the ball but it makes perfect sense now you've said it. Thankyou so much, take care, stay safe
Goooooooooood evening, Sartzy, and welcome to the channel. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 I hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍😍😍😍😍😍 Sandalwood (Synthetic or Natural) is an ABSOLUTELY lovely base note to use in a fragrance! I hope that when you have time, join us on our livestreams and tell us more about your current projects! 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
Goooooooooooooooooood afternoon, Superist. My apologies for taking so long to respond. We hope that this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍😍😍😍 The best perfume fixative is the base ingredients that you use. As much as all perfumers would love to have that Magical Ingredient that gives perfume staying power, well... it doesn't necessarily exist. At least not ONE ingredient. However, there are SEVERAL that you can use to help give your perfume staying power. And this, of course, comes down to what type of blend you are looking to make. Is it heavy floral, light floral, rosy, sweet, resinous, balsamic, citrus, woody, gourmand, herbal, fruity, aquatic, ozonic, minty, aldehydic, fresh, green, creamy, mossy, earthy, anamalic, musky, leathery... the list can go on. 😉 Your final blend will be based on your Fragrance Concentrate which normally equals 100 Grams. Or you can do a 100 Drop Formulation when testing. This will give you PLENTY of room to test out different base notes that help give a fragrance longevity. Using accords are the perfect place to start. They are the building blocks to creating a harmonious perfume and can be altered with single ingredients to modify or compliment the final blend. So... when you hear someone say "Fixative", know that they most likely are referring to the "Major" base notes that have many hours of longevity such as woods, resins, vanilla, some spices, some green notes, musks, etc. The best way to know which is the best is by testing them each out. Just for additional information... most natural ingredients do not have the "staying power" most wearers crave. But, adding just a little bit of Aroma Chemicals can totally change that. A good example would be Dihydromyrcenol. It has an almost fresh, metallic, aquatic, calone scent that can be added in TRACE amounts to your blend which can help give the illusion that your top notes are lasting longer. A perfect example of this is Davidoff's Cool Water. The secret ingredient, if that's what you want to call it, for Cool Water is an overdose of Dihydromyrcenol. It's a VERY distinctive scent in Men's cologne AND offers some staying power. :-) Another example it's prevalent in is Drakkar. And when you are ready to create your final 100 ML Perfume, you will dilute your Fragrance Concentrate (Formula) to the carrier of your choice, such as Perfumer's Alcohol, Fractionated Coconut Oil or IPM. :-) I like the 20%/80% blend. However, it's completely up to you. Here is our little cheat sheet if you are using the glass droppers. These formulations are keeping to the 20%/80% rule for making a PARFUM or PERFUME ** 1 ML of Fragrance Oil = 24 Drops from our glass dropper** ** 1 ML of Perfumers Alcohol = 36 Drops from our glass dropper** FRAGRANCE OIL ALCOHOL YIELD of PERFUME (1 ML = 24 Drops) (1 ML = 36 Drops) 1 ML ( 24 Drops) + 4 ML ( 144 Drops) = 5 ML 2 ML ( 48 Drops) + 8 ML ( 288 Drops) = 10 ML 3 ML ( 72 Drops) + 12 ML ( 432 Drops) = 15 ML 4 ML ( 96 Drops) + 16 ML ( 576 Drops) = 20 ML 5 ML (120 Drops) + 20 ML ( 720 Drops) = 25 ML 6 ML (144 Drops) + 24 ML ( 864 Drops) = 30 ML (1.0 OZ) 10 ML (240 Drops) + 40 ML (1440 Drops) = 50 ML (1.7 OZ) 20 ML (480 Drops) + 80 ML (2880 Drops) = 100 ML (3.4 OZ) Again, the longevity of your fragrance will be based off the base ingredients you use. :-) I hope this was helpful 😍😍😍 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora, Vivian and Lolo
thanks so much for the detailed answer, I'm new in this field without any experience in fragrance chemistry if I can use chemistry term , simply what I do is buying the ready fragrance oil for example 1 million , for 100 ml bottle, I apply 35% perfume oil, 73% clean alcohol and 2% white musk as fixative, works fine but never last more than 3 hours, don't know why ??
It's truly our pleasure, Superist. And I truly hope you enjoy this journey on making perfume at home 😍 And a chemistry background is not required. 😉 PROMISE And you did an AWESOME blend using the MUSK as a fixative... or a base, as we like to call it. :-) So, I know you get it! Bases are natural fixatives. As for the reason why the product isn't lasting more than 3 hours could be due to a number of reasons. First, though... you should compare the ORIGINAL Paco Rabanne's 1 Million to that of the Imitation Fragrance Oil that you have. You can normally get an Original sample at any department store or Sephora's. Also, have two different blotter strips labeled with each fragrance... for example, 1MO (Original) 1MI (Imitation). Spray your FINAL blend on the 1MI blotter the SAME amount of times you do with the original fragrance on the other. Compare the two and annotate your findings. Then, bend each strip so they can rest on a table while checking them every 10 minutes for the first hour... then every 30 minutes for the second hour... then after a final hour. This will be your 3 hours. BE SURE to annotate how they smell the same... how they differ... EACH time you test it. On the FINAL comparison at the 3 hour mark, pay CLOSE attention as to what the notes are that are coming off of the strip. How different are the two? And annotate if the original still seems like it's in its second phase meaning it hasn't gotten to the base notes yet. If your Imitation is already revealing the base notes, then it means the HEART of the fragrance was either missing some key ingredients, or the quality of the ingredients were exceptionally different. Most likely, it's the latter. Now... I've used for MANY years Fragrance Body Oils to practice blending and making my own perfumes. However, they are not built to project or last. Fragrance Body Oils, which is most likely what you have, are designed to stay VERY close to the skin and dry down to a subtle hint of what it was before. So... don't worry. :-) It's nothing that you are doing wrong. Starting off with Fragrance Oils is an AWESOME way to practice and learn the fragrance families and how certain odor families blend with others. As you grow with more and more experiences through blending and experimenting, you will discover more and more that will help you craft better blends in the future. And at some point, you may decide to upgrade to using professional grade ingredients vs the fragrance body oils. I've dabbled with Aroma Chemicals off and on over the years (until a few months ago when we went fully professional ingredients) and I've blended several natural blends due to my Aromatherapy background. It takes passion and dedication to learn. And if you love it, it won't feel like your training or learning... it's enjoyment and fun and... ADDICTING! LOL And you DON'T have to start off with professional ingredients. Fragrance Body Oils are JUST FINE. However, it all starts with a SNIFF... and some blending... You'll say to yourself, "Self... that ingredient smells good, let's add that." Then sniff another... "That ingredient smells good, too. Let's add a drop of that." CRINGE... "Okay... maybe not that." Start over... RINSE and REPEAT a thousand times until you make your FIRST successful blend that's just... okay. Then you blend another few hundred times... and that second formula is pretty good... so much so, your dog doesn't run away and your coworkers can tolerate being near your cubicle. And then you blend another hundred times, and man if that one isn't better than what you find at Walgreens.... and then about 50 more blends, formula 4 is AMAZING... You could see this one being sold in Macy's! By formula 20 or so, you have created your FIRST MASTERPIECE and you are being interviewed on Ellen! ROFLMAO... I think you get the picture. It's all hands on... and sniffing, and LOTS of experimenting, of course. 🤗🤗🤗🤗 So... ENJOY the journey. Don't worry about it smelling like anything else you've smelled. Make your blends smell like something YOU'VE created out of passion and obsession... NO, not Calvin Klein. ROFLMAO But... adding your OWN twist to the Designer Fragrance Blends is a GREAT place to start if you want to make something wearable immediately ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 Vivian and I will be your NUMBER 1 Cheerleaders! If ever you need help, let us know! Lots of LOVES and HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGS being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora, Vivian and Lolo
Thank you so sooooo much dear Alora , your answer is very informative and truely reflects your years of experiences and practical practices in this field. You are right, I have to check again if the used oil is original quality or no, unfortunately all the sellers confirm that their oils are original and bla bla bla , and I never know if they are talking correct or no, now I'm thinking to buy my own materials from the manufacturers dirctly , took me so long to find a trusted one, thousands of them are in usa, spain, france and buying samples from them will cost a wealth till I confirm who is the best and reliable, if youknew a trust source , would be so happy to have their contacts if you don't mind, I'm from Dubai by the way, not located in US, my kind regards to you :) ....
Hoooooooooooooooooowdy from Maryland to you in Dubai! WOW... That's a GORGEOUS city! ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 I COMPLETELY know what you're going through with the oils and finding quality ingredients. My very good friend, Ahmad Fisal Alsaleh, who is like my son, is located in Kuwait. He has told me all about the quality of fragrance oils that are in the market places in the Middle East. And he travels to several different Middle Eastern countries in search of better, and higher quality ingredients. He has recently agree to join me in using the Creating Perfume ingredients. This is because I've tested most of them and can attest that they are extremely high quality. But, there are NO dupes or imitations. It's all about creating your own blends. Which is what professional perfumers do. They don't replicate other artists. However, they can be INSPIRED by them. If you, as an artist, replicate 1 Million... then you just spent all that time and money to be someone else. If you were able to successfully copy it, where do you go from there? You can't call it yours. LOL Even though you successfully replicated it. Because everyone who knows 1 Million will say... OH... are you wearing Paco Rabanne? What can you say? NO... it's something I made. Yet... it smells like something already done. It's COMPLETELY natural for us to want to be able to create scents that smell like what the masters have created. But that takes YEARS and YEARS of training and experimenting. And then, you will get labeled as "unoriginal" if you blend and mix to smell like someone else. So... my encouragement to you is to get some NATURAL single note ingredients such as lavender, oud, ambrette seed, benzoin, vanilla, rose, amber, patchouli, balsam, tonka bean, jasmine, citruses and other awesome smelling NATURAL ingredients... then CUT them so they are workable because they are SOOOOOOO concentrated... and then, START mixing and writing down your drops. Once you've created something gorgeous that's natural, then introduce some aroma chemical elements to help give it longevity and projection. Ahmad can help you!!! I hope this was not discouraging... I only want to ENCOURAGE you to enjoy making your own blends that are unique to you! :-) ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 And of course, Vivian and I will be right here along with you! :-) Take it a few ingredients at a time. Start off with, say... a few woody ingredients and a few citruses. Let me know what you get, and we can blend together. I will do stuff on video right along with you! Okay? Hi. Love the video and very informative. Just like to ask, if you called the 10:90 ratio a toilette, how do you call the 20:80 ratio and 30:70 ratio? which is cologne and perfume base on the ratio?
Goooooooooooood morning uonno37 💓 💛 💚 💙 💜 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 Here is a little chart to help out... of course, this is a very subjective topic. Vivian and I tend to work in the Eau de Parfum (EdP) realm 😘😘😘 1-3% for Splashes or Aftershave 8-10% for Eau de Cologne (EDC) 10-15% for Eau de Toilette (EDT) 15-25% for Eau de Parfum (EDP) This is what Vivian and I tend to use for our clients. 25-40% for Parfum (Extrait) 50% or higher for Attars (normally compounded in sandalwood base) Hope this was helpful and that you are having a SUPER lovely day!!! 🌸 💮 🏵️ Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Gooooooooooooooooood morning, stillbee ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ I hope you and your family are doing well and having a SUPER lovely day! 💖💖💖 Currently, I purchase my Essential Oils from Susan Lemmon at CreatingPerfume.com. If she doesn't have what I'm looking for, then I put in a request for her to stock it. If she says there isn't enough demand for it, then I will go to Eden Botanicals. I purchase ALL of my Aroma Chemicals and Accords from Susan because I have gotten to know her as a PERSON and she is my most trusted supplier. If I find any issues, she is QUICK to handle any requests I have. In all the time I've used her as my supplier, we've only had ONE issue with an oil... and it was an error on the packer's part. Yet, she took care of it IMMEDIATELY. So... Yeah, I am loyal to CreatingPerfume.com. If you are located outside of the U.S., let me know. I have a supplier in the U.K. that I highly recommend. Have a GORGEOUS day! 💮💮💮💮💮 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
LOL, KNkid! You are adorable! 😁😁😁 Old habits die hard... LOL 😁😁😁 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 Before you invest in this "formula", note this doesn't smell ANYTHING like Chanel No 5. There's just NO possible way to make that happen with this few ingredients. But... it's a step in learning more about accords and how they can be of help in building a fragrance. This kit is for training your nose. To get you blending and help you get to know your ingredients. It takes a LOT of blending hours, annotations and testing the boundaries, so to speak, by thinking outside of the box to become proficient in your craft. But in order to get there, we have to start somewhere... and these small kits were designed specifically for that reason. 🌼 🌺 🌸 💮 🏵️ Vivian and I will be featuring a LOT of formulations in the near future so that you can blend an actual accord of your own, or possibly even a finished product. Which can be upward toward 100 ingredients or more. And, we will do several more formulations that use a pre-blended accord along with several single elements of the aroma chemical and natural ingredient sense. 🌷 🌹 🌷 🌹 To answer your question, you can take the final number of drops you have of oil and divide it by .20 (which is equivalent to 20%) then multiply that number by .80 (which is 80% carrier)and then add that many drops of everclear or perfumers alcohol to your blend. This would be roughly a 20% blend. For example: 24 drops of fragrance concentrate would need (24/.2 = 120 drops TOTAL of Fragrance Concentrate and Carrier) 120 x .80 = 96 drops of carrier (Which is 80% carrier such as alcohol or fractionated coconut oil, etc) 24 drops of FC to 96 drops of Alcohol is 120 drops total which is roughly a 20% blend. Now... because alcohol takes up MORE volume based off weight, the drop system is nowhere near as accurate as using a scale to measure both your formula plus your carrier. But, for testing purposes, this will do fine. I hope this was helpful and if there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know! 😘😘😘 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora, Vivian and Lolo 💞💞💞💞💞💞
Goooooooooooood morning, Susana Nedo We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 The accords used in this video were created by the perfumer Susan Lemmon who owns Creating Perfume. Accords are harmonious blends that are made up of two or more ingredients with the goal of creating something completely unique so that none of the ingredients stand out from the other. 🌺 🌸 💮 🏵️ Vivian and I will be going over how to create accords in future videos. So please keep an eye out for them 😉😉😉 I hope this was helpful and that you have an AMAZINGLY wonderful day! ☀️🌹☀️🌹☀️🌹 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Goooooooooooooood afternoon, Bharat Sarmalkar, and welcome to the community. We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 Vivian and I order our Natural and Aroma Chemical ingredients from www.creatingperfume.com along with their large library of pre-blended Accords. None of their ingredients are cut unless you request them to be. The owner of the company is Susan Lemmon and she's SUPER sweet and extremely helpful to our viewers. You can send her an email at susan@creatingperfume.com. 😍😍😍 Please let me know if there is anything I can help with. We will be doing individual ingredient profiles within the next few weeks. 🤗🤗🤗 We hope you have a LOVELY evening and enjoy creating lovely fragrance masterpieces through scent. 🌸🌸🌸 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Good morning, Imran Ali ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 Vivian and I do not use Vodka in our final blends. Instead, we use Perfumer's Alcohol as our fine fragrance carrier. However, you could use 189 PROOF (94.5%) grain alcohol such as Everclear as a substitute. Vodka is not used in fine fragrance because the water content is too high making the final blend separate since oils are not miscible in water. I hope this was helpful and that you have a SUPER lovely day! 🌹🌹🌹 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora, Vivian and Lolo 💞💞💞💞💞💞
Hi, i just saw the video that informs about the usage of Witch hazel, vodka, everclear, perfumers alcohol and isopropyl alcohol in perfumery. Where i live they dont sell any 190 proof alcohol and less the perfume alcohol. So what i did i went to ebay and bought 190 grain ethyl alcohol from ethanolextracion.com supplier. i tried it and it dissolve the fragrance oils but the alcohol smells quite strong like light vinegar. So im gonna try buy an 200 proof ethyl from ebay, another supplier to see if it dosent smell that much, eitherwise i heard perfumers alcohol dosent smell that much , either way i am gonna have to make perfumes with carrier oils etc, because of alcohol issues since none of the big companies can ship perfumers alcohol via air :(. Do you have any info or thoughts about the smell on ethanol? Thanks!
Goooooooooood evening, Emanuel, and welcome to the channel. I hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 I completely understand your frustration. There is, however, a solution with using Isoproply Myristate rather than Alcohol. It's used in place of alcohol for countries that do not sell grain alcohol (Ethanol) at the higher proofs. Where are you located? I will see what I can do in finding you a supplier that sells the Perfumer's Alcohol in your area. Denatured alcohol is not the same as perfumer's alcohol. Although, they are BOTH denatured. But if the alcohol you are purchasing DOES NOT STATE "SDA 40-B" then you are getting denatured alcohol that is NOT SAFE for the skin. You can also use Fractionated Coconut oil. Because the coconut oil has been fractionated, the fatty acids have been removed which allows it to stay in a liquefied state at room temperature. And, it has NO detectable odor. So, there are some options with possible solutions. :-) Alcohol is merely one type of carrier. Albeit, it's the most popular, it's far from being the only choice. :-) If you are making higher quality perfumes and colognes that contain a lot of naturals with some aroma chemicals, using IPM or Fractionated Coconut oil will allow you to turn them into higher concentrated end products. And that means exquisite quality, if you ask me! :-) Just look at what you have to pay to get a bottle of Chanel N°5 Parfum Grand Extrait. So, using alcohol is not always a must... but, it's nice to have the option as a perfumer. ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 I hope this was helpful. I will be doing a video about using IPM and Fractionated Coconut Oil as your carriers rather than Alcohol. We will compare them all with using the same formulations. :-) Maybe this will help a little :-) Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being SCENT your way! ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 Alora, Vivian and Lolo
Thank You three of u jejeje. I am grateful in the way u responded. I live in Puerto Rico, and i believe its imposible to obtain an good alcohol for perfumery, i have searched the four courners lol. In regards in Isopropyl and FCO i have used them before and they are good as carrier if u want perfume to be on skin. My goal is however to make them as commercial perfumes, i dont like the idea of putting in skin fragrances unless they are naturals, absolutes etc that are skin safe. I respect each ones believe on that subject, but thats just me for some justified reasons :). I have done perfume with isopropyl and sprayed on cloth but it stains, so. i Think i must of keep doing a way i believe its a solution, i use 70% ethyl alcohol and paint the glass perfume bottle so the cloudiness is not seen, actually they look quite elegant in black. Thank You for ur response alora , vivian and lolo.
This was WONDERFULLY said! Thank you! ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 You are ABSOLUTELY correct in stating everyone has their own beliefs toward making perfume, and at the end of the day... we each are our own masters of SCENT! ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 I will also try to find Perfumers Alcohol, for you, in Puerto Rico. I've looked before, but with no success, either :-( But... I will KEEEEEEP LOOKING! :-) Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being SCENT to you and your loved ones! Hey, Emanuel... not sure if you are up to making your own ethanol... I find this video pretty awesome. You could use a glass jug versus a plastic milk container, but hey... it's worth a try, right? th-cam.com/video/m4T26cuO0Y4/w-d-xo.html Alora ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜

Gooooooooooooooooood evening Julia Cressler and welcome to the community ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 I believe that Mrs Susan Lemmon will be offering up our formulations for you to enjoy. Let me know what size you are going for AND what theme. We could tweak it a bit so that it's more personalized for you 🤗🤗🤗 WOW... SO exciting!!!! Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora, Vivian and Lolo 💞💞💞💞💞💞
Goooooooooooooooooood morning, Lauren Baca We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 These accords used in the video are special blends created by the perfumer Susan Lemmon. She has over 80 amazing accords that were created by blending Natural and Aroma Chemicals. However, you can use Essential Oils in your fragrance blends along with absolutes and natural isolates such as Beta Ionone and Clearwood. You can blend your own personal accords and build several fragrances from there. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗 If you want to dilute your ingredients, might I suggest trying TEC (TriEthyl Citrate) which is a completely natural diluent. I hope this was helpful and that you have a SUPER lovely day!💖☀️💖☀️💖☀️ Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖
Gooooooooooooooooood afternoon, Habib Alif. I hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗 Agarwood is one of my most LOVED ingredients. I actually enjoy working with this natural ingredient because it is so rich and luxurious. I created a solid fragrance with my Agarwood SCO2 mixed with Moroccan Rose Absolute and it is absolutely divine! It serves as a GORGEOUS base for layering another fragrance on top of. 🤗🤗🤗 I will share this on a video and tag you so that you can watch it. 😘😘😘 I hope you are having an absolutely GORGEOUS weekend and may God Bless! 🌼🌼🌼 Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way! Got my email from Susan... so excited... now im watching your videos from 1st to last.. get ready for that viewership to go up. lol. Also you will be wonderwoman to me if you create or formulate something that smells like Tom Ford Neroli Portofino. Challenge has been dropped. lol hope you and Vivian are well. Gracia por todo Vivian.
You are awesome! 💓 💛 💚 💙 💜 And the Challenge has been ACCEPTED! 😊😊😊 Gonna go order a sample! LOL FIY... The 5 Accord Formulation videos are awesome to help alleviate the fear of blending... they give you a new accord you can expand on... they are, in now way, I finished product. Vivian and I have learned that it's best to create full fledged formulas on here AND do the Accord Blending, too. 🤗🤗🤗 We have soooooooooooooooooooooo much to share and there never seems to be enough time in a day! LOL But... BE READY... you will be getting a LOT of information... take it day by day and digest it little by little and before you know it, you will be creating your OWN Tom Ford Neroli Portofino. Speaking of which, can you give me a little description as to what YOU smell when you spritz it? This will be helpful. I will be blending a cacophony of ingredients using aromatic chemicals and naturals. Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs and welcome aboard this Choo Choo! 😂😂😂 Alora 😍 🌸 🤗
Alora Dillon I cheated... i read somewhere Top notes :Bergamot & Mandarin Middle notes: orange flower & Neroli Base notes: Amber & Orange blossom When I smell it, it makes me think of the ocean, pre dryer clean linen (you know the way it smells when still wet) also I smell the fruits. Hope this helps as I still haven't gotten a kit to develop my scent knowledge. You guys rock!
AWESOME, Sweetie! Excellent description! I'm gonna create a kit idea that I think would be a great starting point for perfumers starting out that will suggest some of my favorite Accords, Naturals and Aroma Chemicals. And, my suggestion would be to leave about 5 of the kit ingredients up to the perfumer to pick. 💓 💛 💚 💙 💜 I'll get to work on that and send an email to Mrs Susan to see if she would be willing to make a beginners kit for our viewers. I'm pretty sure she will... just gotta make sure folks can afford it. 💓 💛 💚 💙 💜 Let me know if there are any ingredients you KNOW you would want in a beginner kit. Mine are Iso E Super (Definite), Hedione HC, Watermelon Ketone 50%, Dihydro Myrsenol, Lavender Absolute, Tropical Wood Accord, Ambroxan, Aldehyde C-18 (coconut), Clearwood, Bergamot (either natural or aroma chemical), Peony Accord, Dewfruit, Raspberry Ketone 50%, Maltol 50%... WOW, my list is growing. I'm gonna go write all those down. 😁 🙃 😁 🙃 Lots of LOVES and HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGS! 💓 💛 💚 💙 💜 Alora 💓 💛 💚 💙 💜
Yes ma'am... 20%... but it's like treating them as if they were 100%. I need to do a better instructional video that explains why we cut our ingredients to 20% when testing formulations. Although this formula was okay, it's missing SO MANY crucial ingredients that would make it a better Chanel No 5 inspirational fragrance... such as Animalis Hypo 27. I can't remember all the accords we used in this video, but the real Chanel No 5 inspiration formulation we have uses over 40 ingredients. 😱 😳 😵 One of these days, Vivian and I will get our act together and present better material! 🤣🤣🤣 Love ya! 💞💞💞💞💞💞 Alora & Vivian 💖💖💖💖💖

Y’all are great, and I love the style you teach. Thank you!
Thanks so much! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
So good. Very well explained, and I actually got zoned in watching you guys decide on a formula lol. Fascinating, I learned a lot
Glad you enjoyed it!🥰🥰🥰
Do you know of a UK supplier of the accords please? Love this channel and keen to try
For a direct link to the Aldehydic Accord used in this formulation, you can go here:
www.creatingperfume.com/aldehydicaccord.aspx
Might we suggest purchasing samples before commiting to a larger quantity, as these materials are full concentrate and a little goes a long way.
@@AloraDillon Thanks, can I also dilute the accord in DPG?
My pleasure... and yes, you sure can!🥰🥰🥰
We recommend diluting in DPG as an alternative to Perfumer's Alcohol for your training and sampling needs! 🥰🥰🥰
Sending you and your loved ones all the very best! ~ Alora & Vivian
I read that you have to add vegetable glycerin to bond the alcohol to the fragrance oils. Is that true?
Good day, Blewprent, and welcome to the channel... my apologies for the delayed response. Glycerin is not need when using commercial raw materials. DPG is the material you would want to use to help bond oils to alcohol and water final product. Glycerin will separate. But, I've used glycerin in my older formulas when making fragrance for hair... but is still would separate... IPM would be best.
I hope this was helpful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much I have not made my own perfume will try this thank you for sharing .
Goooooooooood morning, Cindy, and thank you for joining us. I truly hope that this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health. ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜
It's wonderful to see that you are interested in creating your own perfume. I tell you what, once you get started, it's almost impossible not to want to try something else! LOL
The beauty about all this is that you can make several different possible variations of what we showed on this video, using the SAME 5 ingredients, until you've blended something that's JUST right for you! :-)
Please let us know how it goes! I'm super excited to hear!
Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being sent your way.

LOL If you are addicted to making the cold processed soaps, I'm pretty confident making perfume is going to move in and become a comfy roommate! LOL
Chanel is DEFINITELY one of the BEST that has stood the test of time. :-) I'm so grateful that you are enjoying the videos and when the time comes for you to make your own perfume, I hope that you will be willing to share your experience with us!
I hope you have a LOVELY and GREAT day, too, sweetie and LOTS of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being SCENT your way! ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜

I just discovered this channel and I am so excited to try and make this scent. I have a lot to learn. There are so many Aldehydics on the site , how do we know which one is in this formula?
Good day, @Carissab2u567
Thank you for your question!.We're in the process of preparing more fragrance formulations specifically designed for the drop-by-drop method. Stay tuned, as we'll be unveiling each of these formulations in individual LiveStream sessions. I hope this provides clarity and excitement for what's to come! 😍😍😍~ Alora
Loved the video. What are the little pegs that hold the vial called and where do you buy them?. I am in UK and can’t find them online.
Thank you so much, @marilyndavid3763, for your lovely comment! ❤️❤️❤️ We love using chip clips or paper accordion blind clips-they work perfectly! ❤️❤️❤️ ~ Alora & Vivian
Do you possibly have the formula for Estee Lauder Beautiful? We are trying essential oils and would love to make a smell like this one.
Gooooooooooooooooooood morning, Shirley Johnson. My apologies for the late response. We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗
Actually, I do have a very nice formulation that you can use if you like.

Firstly greetings and good wishes to help others for him to make perfume
is this perfumes are compatible for insence sticks
Yes, definitely! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Beautifully thought. Loved the ways you guys explained.. love to see more videos for men's perfumes too. Love you both. God bless 😊🙌🙏❤.
Thanks a ton
My question is where do you find fragrance oils (not essential oils or absolutes) that are concentrated enough to where they can be diluted with alcohol and still be very potent?
I've bought fragrance oils before, but they're not very rich. Like they have the engine of a Toyota when I'm wanting the power/concentration to have the engine of a Corvette.
Any suggestion people? Money is not an issue. I just need high quality fragrance oils that are severely potent.
Good evening, Trinitarian Pentecostal, and welcome to the community! We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health. 😍🌼🤗
We completely know EXACTLY what you are talking about.
LOL
Okay... so, let us know how it goes and if you are able to find the higher quality, full strength aroma chemicals and accords that you have been looking for at www.creatingperfume.com.

awesome video, Thank you both for it. I do have a question : where i can get the fragrance oils?
Hello there 👋 , here is the link to the oils: creatingperfumes.com/collections/specialty-bases
Happy perfuming😍😍😍
Hello, I have a question on Rollo-on Body Oils for sale that are popular Fragrances labeled "Type"... what are they using to dilute the oils because im pretty sure theyre using uncut on the stronger scented ones?
Goooooooooood afternoon, Frank Lubin, and welcome to the community. 💕💕💕 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗
Roll On body oils that are sold for direct use, meaning you don't have to dilute them to wear them, are normally cut by 90%.

Well done 👍 You both made a great team. Learnt some new techniques, and I hope can try out formula, soon. Thank you!!!😀
Wow nice
Thank you so much, @NenitaBurgos-tk6cv! ❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment! Truly appreciate you! ~ Alora ❤❤❤❤❤
you guys have such a passion for fragrance creation but I watch the video, I can see that you are using your own made accords, or am I mistaken? If you create from 'accords' technically they are already a blend (?) as a student, I need to know the numbers (%) and oil content of the accord...then I can see how your mix works out
Oh WOW Doug Williams... I am SUPER SUPER sorry for not getting back to you sooner!! We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗
Vivian and I make our own accords, however, Ms.
If you have enough Bottles/droppers/labels and diluent, then you will be GOOD to go when you dilute your ingredients into 1%, 5%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 50%, 75% and 90% and of course, 100%.👃👃👃
Keep us in the loop as to how you are doing! 👌👌👌

Hi,
I am a hobby "perfumer" (I really mean hobby) and have seen some of you videos in the past.

Aboubakr Achraf El Ghazi
Good evening, Aboubakr Achraf El Ghazi, and welcome to the community! 😍 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in excellent health.
This is a WONDERFUL comment!
Vivian and I are starting off with the Accords, at the moment, as we slowly build back up our perfumer's organ with the quality EO and AC. :-) We believe that for beginners, getting over the fear of blending that first formulation is critical and we are trying to take away the fear of using something stronger than body oils :-) LOL
We will continue to make simple 5 ingredient formulations using the accords while in the meantime working toward introducing the ACs and EOs individually so they do not scare viewers off. 😍😍😍😍
And you are correct...
I will definitely start introducing the Universal Raw Materials so that any viewer watching can obtain them from a supplier closer to home as this makes perfect sense! 😍 So thank you so much for pointing this out. Also, we will work toward creating the formulations that make popular accords. This is an EXCELLENT idea!
We TRULY appreciate your comment! This was EXTREMELY helpful!!! 😍😍😍
We hope that you have a LOVELY day crafting amazing masterpieces through scent!

Nice video guys
Thank you 😀
Hi there, beautiful ladies! I so loved your video. Quick question, what is aldehydic accord, and where can I buy it? Also, I just subscribed to your channel:) Take care, and God Bless!
Can you please let me know how to make the projection and staying time longer? Thank you, keep up the great work
Gooooooooooood evening, Rudy Chavarria, and welcome back! 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Projection and longevity are achieved by experimentation.
I hope this was helpful! ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜
If ever there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know. ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜

Great job . What type of alcohol you used???
Good day, @nachaestuart3886!
Thank you! I used Perfumer's Alcohol for this creation. It's a specially denatured ethanol designed for fragrances. It ensures that the scent is carried effectively without interfering with the aromatic profile. It's the preferred choice for many in the world of fine perfumery because of its optimal evaporation and blending properties. 🌸💧🌹🌸💧🌹 ~ Alora

Girls you are awesom, it was funny and interesting, thank you !
can perfumers alcohol be substituted with something else ? ... and could you name those substitutes to dilute the concentrate.
thanks
Goooooooooood afternoon, Abdus Samad. We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗
If you are not able to get your hands on Perfumer's alcohol, then you can use IsoPropyl Myristate (IPM) or TriEthyl Citrate (TEC) as your carrier.
Have a LOVELY day and Happy New Year!

will the carrier effect the scent longevity and sillage ?
When formulating a fragrance, always remember to factor in the type of carrier you plan to use. This way, you build your fragrance based on this.
A fragrance's longevity and sillage all depends on the way the fragrance formula was crafted as well as the environment, the wearer, their chemistry, etc. There are just WAY too many variables to state whether or not a fragrance's longevity or sillage will increase or decrease. 😘😘😘😘😘😘
This is why fragrance is completely different on you than it is on me and anyone else. It's completely personal. 😘😘😘😘😘😘
Hope this was helpful! HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

from where i can get these oils? i have great fan of perfumes, would like to make one very different for myself and make it universal brand!!!!
Good morning once again, Imran Ali 😁😁😁
Currently, Vivian and I acquire these specific accords from CreatingPerfume.com. Susan Lemmon is the master perfumer behind these accords. 👃👃👃
We hope you have a LOVELY day! 🌺 🌺 🌺

💞💞💞💞💞💞
You are ABSOLUTELY on target with your observations with the accords. 🌼 🌺 🌸 💮 🏵️
I really cannot wait for these holiday work hours to be over so I can get back into my studio and share more formulations. 😘😘😘😘😘😘
Let me know if you would be interested in this... but the most AMAZING thing is that you are already experimenting... you are getting to know your ingredients and THAT is EXACTLY what these kits are for. Getting you to experiment without fear. 😘😘😘😘😘😘
I hope you are having FUN blending and taking excellent notes! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Plus, how to make the accords?
Goooooooooooooood evening, Brightstar Lavandula and welcome to the community. ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗
These earlier videos are using ACCORDS to help those just starting out to get used to blending without breaking the bank.
💛 💚 💙 💜 💛 💚 💙 💜
We will also be working with creating ACCORDS in later videos once we get going with featuring fragrance formulations and we hope you will join us. 😘😘😘😘😘😘

I purchased several oils from Perfumers Apprentice and the bottles do not come with a dropper, can I purchase droplets separately? The bottles look very similar to yours.
Gooooooooooood evening, Roland 😍 🌸 🤗
You definitely can purchase dropper tops separately. For the 15 ML bottles we have, we order the 18-400 thread dropper top. You can get them from Discount Vials which is where we get ours from: www.discountvials.com/standard-dropper-assembly-18-400-x-66-mm/
If you contact Laura Roeth and let her know you were referred by Drop by Drop (Alora Dillon), they will give you a discount. And nope, we don't make anything on the referral! 😍
Let me know how it works out! 💞💞💞💞💞💞

i really really want to start selling perfume but i’m not sure where to start
do you have any advice or know any websites that i should check out ?
like where to get essential oils and bottles and everything else
Goooooooooooood evening, Lilly L and welcome to the craziness of fragrance addiction! LOL... You are definitely in good company with all the amazing viewers who are part of the this community. 💖💖💖💖💖💖 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health and ready for an amazing New Year! 😍 🌸 🤗
Before I send you off to different websites, please let me know what you are looking to do?

Alora Dillon thank you for replying so quickly, i really appreciate it :)
i’m not sure if this makes any sense but i was looking to make perfume that’s inspired by songs that i enjoy and then sell them on etsy
I’m new to this but it really calls out to me and i feel like i can see myself doing this for a while... i know it’s super cheesy but my mom always says i might as well make money while doing something i’ll enjoy
Well, Sweetie.... I have to agree 100% with your mom! She's a smart woman! 😍😍😍😍😍
And creating fragrances based off of songs is actually something people already do.
LOL
So...
Looking forward to hearing from you! And of course... HAPPY NEW YEAR! 💖 💛 💚 💙 💜

I didn't hear what kind of alcohol you use.
Thank you for sharing ladies, very helpful
Glad it was helpful! 😍😍😍
I just want to be sure that you don't plan to turn this formulation into a product as it's not intended to be a final product. Trust me, you will not get any buyers! LOL 🙃 😋 😜 🤣 This is merely a trial that we made up on the spot using five accords for testing and training our nose. This formulation would most likely need to be reworked several times and with addition and removal of ingredients. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
I have created a video that discusses using Volume as the bases of creating your final products rather than weight. But, I highly suggest using weight as it is more accurate.
There are FOUR videos pertaining to the math needed to understand how to upscale a formulation in preparation for larger quantity orders.
Start here: th-cam.com/video/X10cfW9XDpQ/w-d-xo.html
After watching all four, let me know if there are any other questions you might have. 😍😍😍

Happy perfuming ❤️❤️❤️
Aldehyd is synthetic, isn't it?
Hi, I want to start making fragrances and I'm not sure where I should buy my essential oils. Do you know of any cheaper places to get good essential oils? Thank you.
Goooooooooooooooooooooooood evening, J_Da_Foxx, and welcome to the community. We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health. 😍😍😍😍😍
I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited that your are interested in making your own bespoke perfumes! It truly makes me beam when I see comments of viewers just starting out. I believe you are gonna LOVE the journey. There's definitely nothing more unique and personable then your own blend that YOU created. ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜
There are a LOT of essential oil companies all over the internet.
For example: MOROCCAN ROSE ABSOLUTE
It's a GORGEOUS natural oil...

❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜
Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs and I CANNOT wait to hear what you order!!! I'm so excited!!!!❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜

LOL
I hope this was helpful and that you and your loved ones have an absolutely LOVELY day! 🌞🌞🌞

Hi Alora. I'm in the uk, do you know of a supplier you can recommend here? The delivery charges from creating perfumes is a bit stiff

Gooooooooooooooooood morning, Daunta Tyler 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞 I hope this message finds you and your family doing well! 😍 🌸 🤗
Thank you for the cheering! Lots of love being SCENT your way! 🤗🤗🤗
To answer your question, I would suggest not using distilled water for diluting only because Oil and Water are not lovers of one another. However, in a final fragrance, you can definitely blend up to about 3% of distilled water into your fragrance after adding Perfumers Alcohol. If you are using EverClear, then you do not need to add additional water because EverClear contains enough water. 💖 💛 💚 💙 💜

These fragrance samples were made using Accords created by Mrs Susan at CreatingPerfume.com. She does ship to the UK. However, there is PellWall.com that is based out of the UK and owned by Chris Bartlett who is a VERY active perfumer and LOVES to help aspiring perfumers. He truly is AMAZING! Here is his Bio: chris-bartlett.me.uk/ 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Vivian and I will be doing videos on how to create your OWN accords. Dave Johnson from Mountain Aromatics also loves to make accords. It's his number one obsession. 😁😁😁 So, give him a shout out, as well, to help you with your journey on making one of a kind accords 😁😁😁
I will see if Vivian will be willing to record some awesome accord building videos with the formulations, too. She's also VERY good at making accords. 😘😘😘😘😘😘

Can you please do one inspired by Pleasures - Estee Lauder? Love your videos. :)
Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much for loving our videos and we hope you continue to enjoy them!

Pleasures is a bit more difficult to duplicate... however, I do have a nice Beautiful type fragrance. I'll see if I can pull the ingredients. It's a LONG LONG LONG list. So, be prepared! LOL 💓 💛 💚 💙 💜 It's been a while since we've made it.

Bravo Ladies !
How much are you diluting the aldyhtic accord? 😎
Goooooooooood morning, The 2 wheel life... I hope you are doing well along with your family and loved ones!!!🤗😍🤗😍
Currently, I dilute all of Ms. 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
I did, however, read something quite surprising while on my trip to California.
I hope this was helpful and have a SUPER DUPER lovely day!!💛 💚 💙 💜💛 💚 💙 💜

I have to try this :-) I am placing my order tonight hahaa lol
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooood evening, Anoosh! I hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜
AWESOME! I cannot wait for you to try it out!
I reworked the formula, too :-) I wanted to see how vastly different the perfume would be if I changed it up quite a bit! :-)
Here is what I did using my scale.
9 Drops Aldehydic Accord (.158 ML)
10 Drops Ylang Ylang Accord (.204 ML)
14 Drops Lily of the Valley Accord (.274 ML)
20 Drops Rose Jasmine Accord (.444 ML)
42 Drops Sandalwood Vanilla Accord (.954 ML)
________________________________________
95 Drops Total (2.034 ML)
Vivian and I both agree that her formula was a lot truer to the classical Chanel No 5 characteristic.

Hi Alora, the fragrance oils you are using, are they synthetic or natural?
Good afternoon, Bonyfus Martin.💜 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health. 😍🌼🤗
The accords used in this video are a mixture of Naturals and Aroma Chemicals (Synthetics) 🌹 🌻 🌼 🌸 🌺.
There are also Natural Isolates that we have that are AMAZING.
As we move forward, Vivian and I will work hard to satisfy each type of viewer... those who enjoy working with Naturals only, as well as those who enjoy adding Aroma Chemicals to their natural blends. :-)🤗🤗🤗
I hope this was helpful and THANK YOU so much for stopping by and joining us.😍😍😍

To keep a formulation completely clean and the same amount of material each time your formulate, drops are better.

What is the best perfume fixative & how much should I apply for 100ml perfume ?
Goooooooooooooooooood afternoon, Superist. My apologies for taking so long to respond. We hope that this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍😍😍😍
The best perfume fixative is the base ingredients that you use.
Your final blend will be based on your Fragrance Concentrate which normally equals 100 Grams.
I like the 20%/80% blend. However, it's completely up to you.
Here is our little cheat sheet if you are using the glass droppers.
These formulations are keeping to the 20%/80% rule for making a PARFUM or PERFUME
** 1 ML of Fragrance Oil = 24 Drops from our glass dropper**
** 1 ML of Perfumers Alcohol = 36 Drops from our glass dropper**
FRAGRANCE OIL ALCOHOL YIELD of PERFUME
(1 ML = 24 Drops) (1 ML = 36 Drops)
1 ML ( 24 Drops) + 4 ML ( 144 Drops) = 5 ML
2 ML ( 48 Drops) + 8 ML ( 288 Drops) = 10 ML
3 ML ( 72 Drops) + 12 ML ( 432 Drops) = 15 ML
4 ML ( 96 Drops) + 16 ML ( 576 Drops) = 20 ML
5 ML (120 Drops) + 20 ML ( 720 Drops) = 25 ML
6 ML (144 Drops) + 24 ML ( 864 Drops) = 30 ML (1.0 OZ)
10 ML (240 Drops) + 40 ML (1440 Drops) = 50 ML (1.7 OZ)
20 ML (480 Drops) + 80 ML (2880 Drops) = 100 ML (3.4 OZ)
Again, the longevity of your fragrance will be based off the base ingredients you use. :-)
I hope this was helpful 😍😍😍
Lots of loves and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs being 🌼🌸 SCENT 🌸🌼 your way!
😉 PROMISE
And you did an AWESOME blend using the MUSK as a fixative... or a base, as we like to call it.
ADDICTING! LOL
And you DON'T have to start off with professional ingredients. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
So... ENJOY the journey. Don't worry about it smelling like anything else you've smelled. Make your blends smell like something YOU'VE created out of passion and obsession... NO, not Calvin Klein. ROFLMAO
But... adding your OWN twist to the Designer Fragrance Blends is a GREAT place to start if you want to make something wearable immediately ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜

❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜
I COMPLETELY know what you're going through with the oils and finding quality ingredients.
:-) ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜
And of course, Vivian and I will be right here along with you!

Here is a little chart to help out... of course, this is a very subjective topic. Vivian and I tend to work in the Eau de Parfum (EdP) realm 😘😘😘
1-3% for Splashes or Aftershave
8-10% for Eau de Cologne (EDC)
10-15% for Eau de Toilette (EDT)
15-25% for Eau de Parfum (EDP) This is what Vivian and I tend to use for our clients.
25-40% for Parfum (Extrait)
50% or higher for Attars (normally compounded in sandalwood base)
Hope this was helpful and that you are having a SUPER lovely day!!! 🌸 💮 🏵️

Good Morning Alora Dillon Could you tell me where you purchase your EO's at...
Gooooooooooooooooood morning, stillbee ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ I hope you and your family are doing well and having a SUPER lovely day! 💖💖💖
Currently, I purchase my Essential Oils from Susan Lemmon at CreatingPerfume.com.

Alora Dillon I'm in Washington State. Thank you for your help. I hope you have a beautiful weekend. Love your videos.
Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much, Stillbee! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
did you use 99% alcohol or 50% and 70% alcohol would be ok too. pls let me know. btw thanks for sharing your recipe, Oooops!!! i meant formula😁
LOL, KNkid! You are adorable! 😁😁😁 Old habits die hard... LOL 😁😁😁 We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗
Before you invest in this "formula", note this doesn't smell ANYTHING like Chanel No 5. 🌼 🌺 🌸 💮 🏵️
Vivian and I will be featuring a LOT of formulations in the near future so that you can blend an actual accord of your own, or possibly even a finished product. Which can be upward toward 100 ingredients or more. And, we will do several more formulations that use a pre-blended accord along with several single elements of the aroma chemical and natural ingredient sense. 🌷 🌹 🌷 🌹
To answer your question, you can take the final number of drops you have of oil and divide it by .20 (which is equivalent to 20%) then multiply that number by .80 (which is 80% carrier)and then add that many drops of everclear or perfumers alcohol to your blend. This would be roughly a 20% blend.
For example:
24 drops of fragrance concentrate would need (24/.2 = 120 drops TOTAL of Fragrance Concentrate and Carrier)
120 x .80 = 96 drops of carrier (Which is 80% carrier such as alcohol or fractionated coconut oil, etc)
24 drops of FC to 96 drops of Alcohol is 120 drops total which is roughly a 20% blend.
Now... because alcohol takes up MORE volume based off weight, the drop system is nowhere near as accurate as using a scale to measure both your formula plus your carrier. But, for testing purposes, this will do fine.
I hope this was helpful and if there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know! 😘😘😘

Goooooooooooood morning, Susana Nedo We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗
The accords used in this video were created by the perfumer Susan Lemmon who owns Creating Perfume. Accords are harmonious blends that are made up of two or more ingredients with the goal of creating something completely unique so that none of the ingredients stand out from the other. 🌺 🌸 💮 🏵️
Vivian and I will be going over how to create accords in future videos. So please keep an eye out for them 😉😉😉

Vivian and I order our Natural and Aroma Chemical ingredients from www.creatingperfume.com along with their large library of pre-blended Accords. None of their ingredients are cut unless you request them to be. The owner of the company is Susan Lemmon and she's SUPER sweet and extremely helpful to our viewers. You can send her an email at susan@creatingperfume.com. 😍😍😍
Please let me know if there is anything I can help with. We will be doing individual ingredient profiles within the next few weeks. 🤗🤗🤗

Thanks a lot Alora, i've got a few essential oils here in Mumbai. I'll try and mix them up, hopefully will get a beautiful fragrance.
what kind of vodka you use for mixture
Good morning, Imran Ali ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗
Vivian and I do not use Vodka in our final blends.

I completely understand your frustration.
If you are making higher quality perfumes and colognes that contain a lot of naturals with some aroma chemicals, using IPM or Fractionated Coconut oil will allow you to turn them into higher concentrated end products. And that means exquisite quality, if you ask me! :-) Just look at what you have to pay to get a bottle of Chanel N°5 Parfum Grand Extrait.
So, using alcohol is not always a must... but, it's nice to have the option as a perfumer. ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜
I hope this was helpful. I will be doing a video about using IPM and Fractionated Coconut Oil as your carriers rather than Alcohol. We will compare them all with using the same formulations. :-) Maybe this will help a little :-)

❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜

Hey, Emanuel... not sure if you are up to making your own ethanol... I find this video pretty awesome. You could use a glass jug versus a plastic milk container, but hey... it's worth a try, right?

are you using essential oils?
Goooooooooooooooooood morning, Lauren Baca We hope this message finds you and your loved ones doing well and in good health! 😍 🌸 🤗
These accords used in the video are special blends created by the perfumer Susan Lemmon.
I hope this was helpful and that you have a SUPER lovely day!💖☀️💖☀️💖☀️

Agarwood is one of my most LOVED ingredients. 🤗🤗🤗

LOL
FIY... The 5 Accord Formulation videos are awesome to help alleviate the fear of blending... they give you a new accord you can expand on... they are, in now way, I finished product. Vivian and I have learned that it's best to create full fledged formulas on here AND do the Accord Blending, too. 🤗🤗🤗
We have soooooooooooooooooooooo much to share and there never seems to be enough time in a day! LOL
But... BE READY... you will be getting a LOT of information... take it day by day and digest it little by little and before you know it, you will be creating your OWN Tom Ford Neroli Portofino.

Alora Dillon I cheated... i read somewhere
Top notes :Bergamot & Mandarin
Middle notes: orange flower & Neroli
Base notes: Amber & Orange blossom
When I smell it, it makes me think of the ocean, pre dryer clean linen (you know the way it smells when still wet) also I smell the fruits.
I'll get to work on that and send an email to Mrs Susan to see if she would be willing to make a beginners kit for our viewers. I'm pretty sure she will... just gotta make sure folks can afford it. 💓 💛 💚 💙 💜
Let me know if there are any ingredients you KNOW you would want in a beginner kit.
Mine are Iso E Super (Definite), Hedione HC, Watermelon Ketone 50%, Dihydro Myrsenol, Lavender Absolute, Tropical Wood Accord, Ambroxan, Aldehyde C-18 (coconut), Clearwood, Bergamot (either natural or aroma chemical), Peony Accord, Dewfruit, Raspberry Ketone 50%, Maltol 50%... WOW, my list is growing.
I'm gonna go write all those down. 😁 🙃 😁 🙃
Lots of LOVES and HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGS! 💓 💛 💚 💙 💜

Ladies, are those accords diluted?
Yes ma'am... 20%... but it's like treating them as if they were 100%. I need to do a better instructional video that explains why we cut our ingredients to 20% when testing formulations. Although this formula was okay, it's missing SO MANY crucial ingredients that would make it a better Chanel No 5 inspirational fragrance... such as Animalis Hypo 27. I can't remember all the accords we used in this video, but the real Chanel No 5 inspiration formulation we have uses over 40 ingredients. 😱 😳 😵
One of these days, Vivian and I will get our act together and present better material! 🤣🤣🤣
Love ya! 💞💞💞💞💞💞
