- My 70.5 falcon had a mishap and smashed the grill, Little did I know that grill also fit a Torino Cobra and is expensive, time for some arts & crafts to bring it back

Wow
That came out fantastic. Thank you for making this video
I was totally shocked how well it worked Thanks for watching!
Art class in elementary school really pays off sometimes. Good fix pal.

Working on it. Bunch of stuff at once next time
@@flatbrokegarage cool!
That looks awsome nice work u can't even tell
Thanks! I got so lucky 😆
Excellent job!! Fiberglass is definitely the way to go. My kids broke the pivot on the power nozzle of my vacuum cleaner when it was a year old - I patched it back together with fiberglass mesh/resin and the repair has held up to 6 years of constant abuse!
I've never really worked with it much, but is amazing stuff for sure! Thanks for watching
You’re like ole puddins fab shop using the ole “eyecromiter” LOL that looks great Bill. You could probably turn that into a side hustle.
I think I just got really lucky, what's the saying? "Even a blind squarrle" 😆
Hay that was a real good save bud well done keep the vids coming
I got sooo lucky 😆 thanks for watching!
Awesome Job 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks! I think I just got lucky

You are a Smoky Mountain artiste!

I think you done a bloody good job there bud.
Thanks! Think I just got lucky, but I'll take it 😆
Very nice panels. Love it. I’m a new subscriber. Think I have said it. Thanks. I love car channels. I don’t have space for car projects myself, but enjoy this.
Thanks for the sub! Yeah.. I had to try to save that grill
Good job! You don't have to have a lot of money to get something done and that's what you showed
Thanks! Yeah,.. I was kinda shocked myself 😆
Well done! Sometimes, you've got to Macguyver it.
Exactly! I still can't believe it worked 😁 thanks for watching!
Excellent job!!
Thanks! It held together well this year.
Great video
Thanks!
“If I can’t afford one, (or find one), I’ll just make one.”
That’s a phrase my life seems to have been built around lol.
You got that right. I have more time than money 😆
Me too lol
I have used a furniture wax or car wax as a mold release when dealing with fiberglass to keep it from sticking.
Cool... I'll try that next time. Thanks for watching
Perfect, nothing wrong with that. Show us the finished product when you get the other side done. Any plans to paint up the whole car as close to the original color? I have a ‘79 Lincoln resto mod, it was a frost blue, went slightly darker exterior, door jams and under the hood and trunk still blend nicely. Interior is mint so I didn’t want to do anything there. Came out great
I'll have to see down the road where I go with the car. Thinking the hood for sure
Nice work
Thanks! I got lucky
Make sure you scuff it up with 80 grid. I worked in a fiberglass shop for about 9 years
I know for a fact that the resin won't stick to like snowmobile hoods it's a different type and peels right off.
Your best to use thick cardboard with clear packing tape so the resin peels back off
Great! Good to know, I can't believe it worked.
I would do the same thing. Looks fine
Thanks!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Would that work as well if you used cardboard to help the mold, or is using the plastic a better option?
Plastic is way better. Mainly the fiberglass will soak into the cardboard and make it hard to remove, also I don't think cardboard will bend as smooth as the plastic. Thanks for watching!
@@flatbrokegarage thats right I have 9 Years playing with the stinky shit
That was pretty F-ing sweet. Did you ever work as a body man?
Back in my early 20s I worked at a shop. Was a insurance/ fleet body shop. We did stuff like paint all of the postal vehicles in our area, cabs that sort of stuff. Nothing shiny or nice 😆
great job, great result and your 300 bucks is still in your pocket
You got that right! Thanks for watching
