I had a 1974 Chevy Spirit of America " Impala " given to me Minus the engine back around 1986 era .My Dad and I Yanked the 455 engine and tranny out of my 1972 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser 9 passenger station wagon and dropped it into that Chevy. Had the 400 turbo trans with a 3:73 rearend in it ...That Car would Brake Dance and Moon walk all over the road ..That car was Fast for a Big Boat
Nice!!! Yards like that are becoming harder and harder to come by here unless it's privately owned! Surely something followed you home lol Blessings and respect!

The 1968 442 that I have that they made into a dirt track car. Decades ago. Here's three holes that farm a stretched-out v down behind the front tire down low on the fender. That is probably about the only way going to tell if it's a 4-4-2. After they stripped it out. Also that's assuming they did not replace a fender or mud over it. But there's so much of that car gone. Just like mine has a very straight body on it but it's setting on a probably Chevelle frame. And the dash of mine is more sheet metal than The dash of that one. Talking about how they modified it. I think the VIN numbers up on the dash on the driver side. Sure be on the frame someplace. Are you sure to drag car and not dirt track car? I mean the paint on the side with the label makes it look like a drag car but has dented up as it is it looks like a dirt track car. Just curious
@@flatbrokegarage that's great in a way. Isn't it a shame though? Honestly I'd be interested in buying the back portion of the car. Cut it behind the back tires straight across. Be a little bit more interested if that rear quarter wasn't buckled. I have another one that was hit in the back. I could use a better bumper than what I bought. I'd rather not cut the pan out of that race car one I have that's between the tail lights. Besides I need taillights as well. Maybe I could put the bracing from my trunk lid into that skin if it's in good enough shape. I've been picking up cars for a while. This is how I can afford them. Buy them needing work. And a half they call that sweat equity. I think he was caught busted fingers on a car 🤣. Thanks for the info. By the way they 68 442 that I have is the stripped-out race car one. I would love to see it go to a good home. Somebody who would do something with it. The grill pieces on the hood are worth a little bit of money. I think the 442 hoods are different than the non 442 Cutlass s. Honestly it's been awhile since I looked at the hood on my bashed in Cutlass S. But the race car I just looked at it yesterday.
@@flatbrokegarage yes it is and awesome I can't wait and it don't bug me seeing this newer stuff in the junkyards well because this newer junk don't have the style or soul the older vehicles have

@@flatbrokegarage is the other 442 same year 1968? My son has a 1969 Cutlass not a 4-4-2.
